CPEC and Pakistan’s Debt Burden
According to IMF program document, Pakistan has to pay back US$ 37 billion to both bilateral and multilateral creditors over the IMF program period, 2019-22. Out of the total repayment, Pakistan will have to pay back USD 14.7 billion to China as repayment of bilateral and commercial debt during this period. In the current fiscal year 2019-20, total external debt servicing will be USD 14.9 billion (or 62 percent of exports earning), increasing the vulnerability of the balance of payment account.

GDP in Pakistan is expected to reach 340.00 USD Billion by the end of 2020, so how the ^^ possible

It may be an exaggeration, but your numbers are also not correct. Nobody knows the real GDP of Pakistan, but after the recent stagflation and currency devaluation, their nominal GDP in $ terms is likely to be around $270B or so.

Regional Politics
By Owen Bennet-Jones
The second group of critics are concerned about something else. The US, India, Iran and many in Afghanistan complain that the proxy forces are sources of regional instability that exacerbate Pakistan-India tensions and destabilise Afghanistan.

Pakistan generally responds to these complaints with denials, which are from time to time undermined by people such as Imran Khan, Asif Zardari and Gen Musharraf admitting that the state had backed militants. It has reached the point that Pakistan no longer has plausible deniability so much as implausible deniability. Military strategists in Rawalpindi might think this is no bad thing: owning militants shows that the land of the pure is also a land capable of projecting power. But it has also led to difficulties, not least in the on-off supply of American military supplies.

And yet the question arises — why shouldn’t Pakistan have proxy forces? After all, with the exception of Greenland and a few other defenceless minnows, it’s common practice for states to finance and equip militant groups that fight abroad.

Given all this, you might think Pakistan has nothing to apologise for. Maybe. But there is another, perhaps more important question. It’s not so much a matter of does Pakistan have the right to support militants, but does doing so actually achieve anything?

In Afghanistan, maybe, it has. True, the Pakistan nation recoiled at the prospect of having to live under the Taliban and yet seems quite happy to inflict a similar fate on Afghans. But that glaring inconsistency notwithstanding, the Afghan Taliban have enabled Pakistan to ensure that the successive Kabul governments have either been friendly or weak, meaning the claim for a greater Afghanistan has not been advanced with any serious intent for decades. And being seen to have influence over the Afghan Taliban has also helped Pakistan in its relationship with the US.

But elsewhere it’s far from clear that proxy forces have achieved much. The armed struggle in Kashmir began in 1989 and has continued on and off ever since. And yet Kashmir is now more firmly in India’s grip than ever. It’s much the same story regarding attacks on India itself: the parliament attack and Mumbai may have been audacious and well executed but what came of them? What was the point?

This 30% increase in Budget was probably due to Paki rupee from 120 odd in Jun 2018 to 160 Jun 2019. But I think the USD 230 to 235 Billion should be accurate.

In the name of Carona Virus discussions: Pakistan back to its national character - Allah ke naam pe de de baba.

During his conversation with Saudi Prince and Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Qureshi expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Saudi nationals due to coronavirus and appreciated the timely steps taken by the Royal government to limit the spread of the deadly virus, the Foreign Office said in a statement.(No mention of Saudi expressing any sorrow on "miskeen" pakistanis dying)

Qureshi highlighted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call for debt relief and restructuring for developing States to enable them to free up resources to combat the disease, save precious lives and shore up economies (the real reason for the call!!!!)

Congratulating the Saudi Prince on the successful convening of the Virtual G-20 Summit, the Pakistani minister said the Saudi leadership of the G-20 was key to forging a coordinated and coherent global response to the coronavirus crisis, the statement said. (Let me kiss your ass- Wallah it does not smell!!!) :D

The Saudi minister affirmed that a number of measures, including a proposal for debt re-structuring, were deliberated upon during the conference to help tackle the economic consequences of COVID-19, it said.(Only debt re-structuring - No write offs :(( :(( ).

Dimran does not call / meet MBS these days

The story is that MBS slapped Dimran when he was called in and kept hostage, just before the Turki-Malaysia summit

This is the respect of wahid aitami mulq Paqistan and its champion leader :rotfl:

In a recent coronavirus-related address to the nation, Pakistan’s prime minister, Imran Khan, stated that “25% of Pakistanis cannot afford to eat two times a day.

Simply not true.

The 2018 National Nutrition Survey of the Pakistan Government indicated that over 50% of all Pakistani households could not afford two meals a day. 40% of children in Pakistan are stunted due to malnutrition and poor sanitation.

https://www.gulftoday.ae/news/2019/07/2 ... eals-a-day
According to the National Nutrition Survey 2018, poverty keeps more than 50 per cent of Pakistani families from having two meals a day, leading to severe dietary deficiencies, the Express News reported.

As a result, as many as 40.2 per cent of all children in the country are affected by chronic malnutrition and stunted growth, which inhibits both their cognitive and physical development, the exercise carried out by the Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) revealed.

Custody is like ISI protection for Terrorists in Pakistan, that is why there will be never be a death sentence in such cases.

Pakistan court commutes death sentence of key convict in Daniel Pearl killing

I don't think the Pakis can act like this without acceptance from major international powers, and that thing which keeps Pakis supply line going is Hindu hatred.

Even during a pandemic, female doctors are facing harassment
SONIA ASHRAF, SENIOR SUBEDITOR

Where doctors are offering their services in a crisis like no other, some men are trolling them with vulgar messages.
Doctors across Pakistan and all over the world are on the frontlines during the coronavirus pandemic.
While a lot of them are working tirelessly in hospitals - isolating themselves from their families and risking their own lives - testing and treating patients, many have also volunteered their services to raise awareness and made themselves available to answer any concerns of civilians.
All around social media, folks are sharing their appreciation for medical workers, calling them heroes and warriors. Surely they're getting the respect they deserve, right? Well, the male doctors are... Can't say the same for women.
Apparently, even a pandemic can't stop predators from harassing women in the medical field who are utilising their time to help those in need. And those doctors have had enough. Yep, you got that right. Where doctors are talking about saving yourself from a dangerous virus, some men are trolling them with vulgar messages.
Imagine being a doctor and trying your best to help people, being made to waste precious time having to block/report numbers using such abusive language.

I remember reading an interview with Lieutenant General J.F.R. Jacob, where he stated that he did not even drink a glass of water at the Pak officer's mess, for obvious reasons.

Danish Kaneria requests Yuvraj, Harbhajan to help minorities in Pakistan
NEW DELHI: Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria put up a special request on Twitter on Friday. Kaneria, the second hindu cricketer after Anil Dalpat and the seventh non-Muslim cricketer overall, to represent Pakistan in international cricket requested Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh to make a video to help the minorities in Pakistan as the Coronavirus pandemic rages on.
Kaneria, who played 61 Tests and 18 ODIs for Pakistan, took to Twitter to urge his Indian counterparts to do this. He also shared a link through which people can donate to help Pakistan's minorities during this crisis.

This comes after Yuvraj and Harbhajan posted twitter messages, asking people to help former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi's foundation, which has joined the fight against the pandemic in Pakistan.
"I request @YUVSTRONG12 and @harbhajan_singh to make a video for the minorities living in Pakistan as well. They need your help in this moment of #coronacrisis. People can donate here at," Kaneria wrote on the social media platform.

Yuvraj and Harbhajan had faced flak from social media users in India for their appeal to help Afridi's foundation.

That prompted Yuvraj, on Wednesday, to put out a clarification, saying he never intended to hurt anyone's feelings and his call for help has been "blown out of proportion".

"I really don't understand how a message to help the most vulnerable gets blown out of proportion! All I tried to achieve via that message was that to help people in our respective countries by providing healthcare, my intention was not to hurt anyone's feelings," Yuvraj tweeted on Wednesday.

"I am an Indian and I will always bleed blue and will always stand for humanity. Jai hind," he added.

On Thursday, Harbhajan also reacted to the criticism and uploaded a video on his Twitter handle showing Sikhs preparing and distributing food to people in England. Harbhajan echoed Yuvraj's sentiment that in these unprecedented times, humanity comes first.

"No religion, no cast, only humanity...that's what it is...stay safe stay home...spread love not hate or virus...let's pray for every single one...May Waheguru bless us all," he wrote along with the video.

Coronavirus Outbreak: Yuvraj Singh says social media post seeking donations for Shahid Afridi's charity 'blown out of proportion'
Press Trust of India Apr 01, 2020.

His social media post seeking donation for Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi's charity triggering a storm, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh on Wednesday said he never intended to hurt anyone and his call for help has been "blown out of proportion".
Yuvraj, along with former teammate Harbhajan Singh, had posted Twitter messages calling for donations to Afridi's charity foundation to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The messages triggered an avalanche of criticism from social media users in India, given the frosty political ties between the two countries.

They do not know how the N95 evolved. The lady who was tasked with designing the mask suffered some personal tragedy and so could not be involved but subsequently she did design bras with the same material.

ISKP chief’s arrest for gurdwara attack brings out clear link to Pakistan’s ISI: Official
Hindustan Times
In a massive security operation backed with pin-pointed intelligence , the Afghan security forces wiped out the entire Pakistan-sponsored module of the so-called Islamic State of Khorasan Province with the arrest of chief Mawlawi Abudullah aka Aslam Farooqui and 19 other top terrorists. A Pakistan national and a former Lashkar-e-Tayebba (LeT) operative, Farooqui was arrested for the massacre of 27 Sikh worshippers at Shor Bazaar Gurudwara in Kabul on March 25.

During interrogation by Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS), Farooqui is understood to have laid bare links of ISKP with Pakistan’s Inter Service Intelligence. Top ISKP operatives Ali Mohammed from Islamabad and Salman from Karachi were also arrested along with Tanweer from Bangladesh. Salman, according to officials, is responsible for ISIS media links with so-called ISIS India. The other two arrested were top fighters for the terrorist group.

“The ISKP is just a demon child of Pakistan’s ISI, which is designed to hit at targets for larger tactical purposes of Rawalpindi GHQ. Among those arrested include terrorists from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Nangarhar, Quetta, Pakistan- occupied-Kashmir, Karachi and Kunar Province. This is the biggest achievement of Afghan security forces to date,” said a senior counter-terror official.
Pakistani national Mawlawi Abdullah, who was earlier associated with proscribed Lashkar-e-Tayebba group and then Tehreek-e-Taliban terror group, replaced Mawlawi Zia-ul-Haq aka Abu Omar Khorasani as ISKP chief in April 2019.

Farooqi belongs to the Mamozai tribe and hails from the Orakzai agency area on the Pak-Afghan border. His links with LeT and Haqqani network have also been revealed in the NDS official statement.
According to counter-terror operatives in Kabul and Delhi, Mawlawi Farooqi on the instructions of Haqqani Network and LeT used Kasaragod resident Muhsin Tikaripur along with three other Urdu-Punjabi speaking attackers to massacre 27 innocent Sikh men and women in Shor Bazaar, Kabul. Mushin was killed in the attack and his mother in Kerala informed of his death. The leader of Haqqani Network Sirajuddin is also the sword arm of the Taliban with very close links to Pakistani deep state. Tihan Singh an Indian national was also killed in the attack.

Although 27 Sikhs were killed in the terror attack which was criticised by US, allies and India, the main target of ISKP was the Indian Embassy in Kabul as both Pakistan and Taliban wanted India out of the developing Afghan political equation in the context of a peace deal with the US. Similar threats have been posed to Indian consulates in Jalalabad, Herat and Kandahar with India forced to withdraw its staff for purposes of safety.

Coronavirus: Shoaib Akhtar proposes Indo-Pak series to raise funds
Laxmi Negi, April 08, 2020
'If India can make 10,000 ventilators for us, Pakistan will remember this gesture forever

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar proposed a made-for-television three-match ODI series against arch-rivals India to raise funds for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in both the countries.
The two nations have not played a full-series since 2007 due to the terrorist attacks on India by Pakistan-based outfits and the resultant diplomatic tension. They only play each other in ICC events and Asia Cup. "In this time of crisis, I want to propose a three match series in which for the first time, the people of neither country would be upset at the outcome of the games," Akhtar said from Islamabad on Wednesday.
"If Virat (Kohli) scores a hundred, we will be happy, if Babar Azam scores a hundred, you will be happy. Both teams will be winners irrespective of whatever happens on the field," he said. Akhtar said the matches could be a closed-door affair considering the current coronavirus outbreak in both countries.

Looks like something big went down in Quetta today, but details are fuzzy. Taliban have denied that anything happened (hence the strongest confirmation?) but Afghan govt folks are saying that most of the Quetta Shura got wiped out. To muddy the waters further, ISIS has claimed the attack (though these days they claim everything that hits the newswires, even if somebody just tripped on their own shoelaces and fell).

As Bernie Sander pulled out from presidential race, Pakis are crying and seeing their hope getting Kashmir fades away. Rona thona on Paki talk shows.

Okay, brace yourself for a week of orgiastic Twitter storm over doing the right thing and supplying 10,000 ventilators to nana bhai Pakistan.

I notice Muslims share this trait of entitlement with certain other tribal religions. I would like to understand the psychology of it.

In case someone misconstrues the above, I have no problem with India exporting or gifting its pharmaceutical products to Muslim countries be it Iran or Mali. I am not sure it is sane to do the same with Pakistan.

^^ Thats like feeding a different variety of poisonous snake because it seems exotic. There is nothing we gain by feeding them, so stop feeding them. Be like Chinese, ruthless and single goal to gain advantage of every situation. Win by inches if not by yards.

Wasnt just a news report out a week before(in Pakistan) that they had succeeded in developing a low cost and the worlds cheapest Ventilator?

Turns out it was about a plastic splitter that was made by a firm in Pakistan using a 3D printer which would (hopefully) make a ventilator useful for more then one patient. :rotfl:

The story is that MBS slapped Dimran when he was called in and kept hostage, just before the Turki-Malaysia summit

This is the respect of wahid aitami mulq Paqistan and its champion leader :rotfl:

Why was MBS slapping around the poor boy?
