Lawyers file petition in Delhi High Court; demands FIR against Waris Pathan, Rahul Gandhi & more

Some group has gone ahead and filed a petition naming a lot of folks including Sonia Gandhi, Manish Sisodia, Amanatulla Khan, Owasi, etc for "hate speech"

IF the courts sets the bar so low wrt Kapil Mishra then it is open season on a lot of political leaders, activists, bollytards, intellectuals and Shaheen bagh speeches of a lot of their folks and dadis.

This was to be expect. Delhi HC, in its zeal to trap BJP, has laid out a path for others to be dragged in under the same charges. Theek hai.

Impleadment plea filed in Harsh Mander's petition to direct the Delhi Police to register FIRs against Harsha Mander, Swara Bhasker, Sayema, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan.
Good!

An impleader wants an FIR against Harsha Mander in the case initiated by Harsha Mander!

Have they arrested Tahir Hussian and Amanullah Khan?

Burkha already started interviewing rioters and projecting them as victims?

I’ll go ahead and make a simple prediction:

Delhi’s days as a state are numbered

The existing division of command simply doesn’t work . It simply leads to the inability to act because half the executive arms of the state are under state and the rest under federal control, and they haven’t seen eye to eye in years now.

The needs of the central government in Delhi are too particular for the current form of federal representation for Delhi . It’s got to go back to being a UT with an elected MCD that parties can vie for .

However counter argument is that Delhi was a union territory in 1984. The two SITs that have been formed will hopefully have suggestions. Certainly, protocol and management for protests needs to be clarified.

CAA has changed all that in at least BJP ruled states. You may want to see some of the Police Videos of UP and Karnataka. Not only have 1000s of cap wearing blokes been arrested but their properties attached and so on.

That is not a counter argument . No structure is going to compel someone who doesn’t want to do his job, to do it . However, logical and clear structure enables an entity that has demonstrated its ability to do its job before , to do it.

GoI has already shown it likes the use of the UT based mechanism to fix a broken administrative structure .

Well, Delhi used to be a full state, then a UT, and is now a partial state. It was a UT In 1984 and is now a partial state. Perhaps going back to a full state may be useful in clarifying the line of command if that is indeed the problem.

Delhi's history as a full state is far too fledgling to offer any insight . It became a UT back in the mid 1950s, so for all practical purposes was always a UT until 1993. Ever since then it's been a halfway state.

*Why* was it necessary to make Delhi a state at all ? Some notion of fixing MCD corruption ? Never mind the current ruling party, it's not like the state BJP was any better. Delhi's infrastructure boom was driven by central/Japanese money and a central organization (DMRC).

A functioning city needs its utilities and services to be administratively controlled in a logical manner. New Delhi, as one of the premier world capitals, needs its administrative and security apparatus under a common chain of command instead of being split across a central and state structure, bringing in all kinds of central vs state vs concurrent list nonsense.

In a unitary political system, the capital naturally gets its own administrative structure. But in a federal structure, it's pointless to make the capital some kind of experimental federal+state level entity. It clearly does not work, and has never shown that it worked, since the 1990s.

Use PCI and other sister organizations to seize the initiative and narrative. Even if they shout bloody murder, they can't directly attack the Gov. It's their own compatriots who are taking decisions for the 'good of industry' as a whole.

For eg- depicting routine transfer of judge muralidhar, finalized a while back, as an act of vengeance by Gov. Both PCI and Delhi HC can come down hard on this. And facts of this case can't be modified to suit their own agenda by presstitutes, as there will be a proper paper trail for such decision

That's a problem with freedom of press in India - there's no clearly functional process of identifying and penalizing misstatement of facts or outright libel. At the very least, registered press entities need to face fines for each instance of this, and a publicly accessible record of their history with this.

As everyone has said before, cleanup has to start with media first. Jnu, amu, Shaheen bagh, all were destined to wither away, due to lack of 'oxygen', with suitable Gov action to accommodate these protests. It's the media which creates waves in the isolated ponds and gives them oxygen in form of 24×7 coverage. They are the ones who complicate any proper response by the state.

Sir, PCI can initiate a review of media performance and come out with a report. And then 'request' additional powers to clean up the act. Gov will just guide the process in the background

Vidur wrote:I was asked why I think Muslims mobilise so quickly

1. Conviction - underlying everything is a strong conviction that killing and destroying unbelievers is what God wants. Kafirs are inferior in every way. You will see this pervasive across all levels of society. Infact more in the 'educated'.

2. Transmission - Mosques are the primary transmission channel. They all go to mosques and get orders from there. Mosques are launchpads too

3. They are treated with kid gloves so are easy to erupt at small perceived issues. That is then opportunity to further long term goals.

General comment on why Delhi is happening now ? Intentions are always there because of ideological nd religious reasons as explained above. Our error is that we often impose our own thinking frameworks on them. They have a different objective.

Ofcourse Trump visit and Balakot anniversary is not a coincidence on timing.

Vidur Ji, great to have your insights on this forum. You are absolutely spot on. I grew up in Hyderabad and even though I had muslim friends as neighbors and in class at school, there was always a sense of deference that was expected from us. Even the lowliest of Muslims had a superior attitude simply because of his faith. I have lived in the West for most of my life since then and there are some truths that become evident over time.

There is an unbelievable unity among the Ummah that cuts across boundaries of race, language and national origins. In my area for example, an Egyptian muslim will fraternize and collaborate with an Indian muslim, sending him all the referrals simply because it is the norm. A good muslim friend from coastal Andhra told me they have no choice, they are expected, nay required to support only their own kind!

There is also an almost 'in-your-face' kind of belligerence when it comes to the society in general. It was summed up quite honestly by the British media in the post-Charlie Hebdo lamentation. They admitted they cannot afford to be critical of Islam because they (the anchors) feared for their own lives. This Deterrence of Disproportionate Retaliation is what makes everyone treat them with kid gloves as you say. The only time they can be controlled is with the threat of equal or greater force applied against them - and then they of course will play the victim card. In this the liberal media of the west (again, possibly terrified of their own offices and personnel being attacked by loony gunmen of Islam) are responsible for perpetuating the myth of the eternally displaced and marginalized Muslim.

Rather long, but here is a prime example of this - a school teacher wailing and playing victim after she got the danda from Yogi Ji for her anti-national rants earlier. This is precisely how the narrative is being spun everywhere. First you create trouble and then you claim victimhood if punished for it.

I don't know what the solution is. What is definitely needed is for the world in general and India in particular to stop being afraid. As we've long known, 'jo dar gaya wo mar gaya'. Once you realize what is at stake hopefully even the most pusillanimous Hindu will wake up and take stock. You then either do what the Jews did via Israel (once an equally docile and timid people as the Hindus today) or you fade away into obscurity with time. There does not seem to be a middle road as far as I can see. Nobody can or should promote any kind of pogroms against Muslims, that is inherently abhorrent and will lead to an unimaginable slaughter of human beings. Rather, the leadership of Islam should be persuaded that violence and Jihad is counter-productive. How that can be done is where the crux of the problem lies.

No easy answers there either.

President of Myanmar U Win Myint along with First Lady of Myanmar are on four day state visit to India. They were accorded ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday. Talks between PM Modi and President Myint were held in Hyderabad House and ten agreements signed.

I am sure the symbolism of this visit and welcome is not lost on anyone especially among the liberals, and western world. Another reason to cry blue murder.

Roger Waters of Pink Floyd reads Aamir Aziz's 'Sab Yaad Rakha Jayega' and slays Narendra Modi. #DelhiRiots2020

Remove the words Pink Floyd and 100 out of 100 Indians would not know who he is. Ask why is being quoted.

Ravi Shankar Prasad - Transfer of Hon’ble Justice Muralidhar was done pursuant to the recommendation dated 12.02.2020 of the Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice of India. While transferring the judge consent of the judge is taken. The well settled process have been followed.

How much do you have to hate another human being (especially somebody you've probably never met before and who has not done anything to you), to be able to kill him with such brutality. Reminds me of the Lt. Kalia episode during the Kargil war. These perpetrators must be brought to justice quickly. lesson for all the fence-sitters - this is what happens if you ignore the evil in your midst.

Yes it was reminiscent of young Captain Kalia and his team's murder.

Swaraj Mag team reporting Jihadis had free run fr 3 days
Insane brutality reported.
A man was killed for Jai Shree Ram sticker on motorbike
another's arm crushed for mauli on it
Many dragged inside Tahir Hussain haveli !

Including young girls.

Shockingly his multi story Obama style house was visited by 100s of reporters, displaying petrol bums, stones, catapult, acid packets!
When it should have been seized and locked at the earliest! Lots of forensic evidence lost

Dear
@DelhiPolice
,

It's urgent. I have crucial information regarding more protestors mobilizing to Delhi who are calling to:

1) Reach Delhi by 28 February

2) Take refuge in Gurdwara

3) Occupy Connaught Place

Be aware & watch Mosques, Madrasas, Temples, Gurdwaras & Churches.
