New Delhi: The Delhi High court on Thursday (May 28) pulled up National Investigation Agency (NIA) for hurriedly moving civil rights activist Gautam Navlakha, accused in Bhima Koregaon violence case, from Delhi to Mumbai. The court also raised its concern over how the applications were hastily moved in Mumbai and Delhi courts by the NIA during holidays to procure Navlakha's transfer to Mumbai, while his interim bail application was still pending with it.

The court observed that it "would not see too much cause for hurry, in this case, in view of the inexplicable, frantic hurry shown by the NIA in moving the applicant from Delhi to Mumbai while this matter was pending and the NIA had itself sought time to file a status report, this court does get a sense that all proceedings in this jurisdiction would be rendered utterly infructuous if an element of urgency is not brought to bear on the present proceedings."

Navlakha had moved the interim bail application on medical grounds, stating that considering his health and age it was unsafe for him to be in the prison. After which the notice was issued to NIA, which sought time to file the status report. Navlakha's medical status report was requisitioned from the Jail Superintendent.

#BhimaKoregaon case: #SupremeCourt sets aside Delhi HC order against #NIA, saying the HC had no business to question transfer of accused Gautam Navlakha from #Delhi to #Mumbai.

Only Bombay HC had the jurisdiction, says SC. Adverse remarks against NIA have also been expunged.

KA under Siddaramiah Govt a few years ago has put a law that 90% of jobs in private sector must go to Local Kannadigas, SO has Ap , so has TG. Seems like these laws are for politics and not for implementation. Almost all Indian states have done it.

“Rahul Gandhi is not a doctor”: AgVa co-founder rejects allegations of Made in India ventilators being substandard, says international vendors trying to sabotage product
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/agva-he ... ronavirus/
Professor Diwakar Vaish also said that the faulty recordings was due to the fact that the ventilator was unique and if they were installed in a wrong manner without keeping AgVa Healthcare in the loop, then it could have led to faulty readings. He said that doctors had to be explained and given a demonstration on how to use them.

The professor said, “LNJP Hospital in Delhi did not reject our ventilator. They said our ventilators do not have BIPAP and CPAP. But later they sent us an e-mail confirming that our ventilators have BIPAP and CPAP… As far as Mumbai is concerned, JJ Hospital and St George Hospital got the installation done through a third-party. They did not install it properly. Hence, their doctors could not use it. If you put diesel instead of petrol, what would happen?”

Rahul gandhi had tweeted the link of a report by Huffington Post that claimed that the AgVa Healthcare ventilators “fudged” software in the product to hide their poor performance.

Is Maharashtra's ruling coalition in trouble?

Someone's analysis wonlee. After watching only the first 10-11 minutes ...

2. NCP expanding base at the expense of CON.
3. UT a failed CM.
4. BJP confident of going to polls right now.

That such a things is being discussed by a durbari outlet is indicative of how far the MVA coalition has traveled.

Looks like NCP is expected to benefit at the cost of CON and BJP at the cost of Sena. In line with some discussions that had happened during the Maha government formation.

Of course no one is asking why Dua's case was heard over the off days. SC judges on the leash fining 100 RS instead of the actual cost to the tax payers to hear this garbage.

SC tears into lawyer for approaching apex court accusing it of biased in listing Arnab Goswami case for urgent hearing: Here is what transpired
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/supreme ... e-details/

The matter regarding Arnab Goswami was pertaining to “liberty and freedom of media” and was listed urgently in view of the “order of competent authority”, said the Supreme Court while pulling up lawyer Reepal Kansal for raising “baseless and reckless allegations” against the court’s Registry.

“During such a hard time, it was not expected of the petitioner who is an officer of this Court, to file such a petition to demoralize the Registry of this Court instead of recognizing the task undertaken by them even during pandemic and lockdown period,” the bench of Justices Arun Mishra and S Abdul Nazeer said imposing a “token” fine of Rs 100 on the lawyer.

Here’s Why Congress Could Face Trouble From ED, CBI Probe Into Diversion Of Mumbai Airport Funds By GVK Group
https://swarajyamag.com/politics/heres- ... -gvk-group
Indian conglomerate GVK Group has landed itself in a mess with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filing a case against it in an alleged scam of diverting the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) funds to the tune of Rs 705 crore.

The construction-to-energy-to-hospitality-to-airports firm, based in Hyderabad, is also under scrutiny by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on charges of money laundering through these fund diversions.

Barring eight states in the north and east, all states have achieved replacement fertility in India

Gujarat has now joined 13 other states at or below replacement fertility, new data from the Sample Registration System (SRS) for 2018 shows. Bihar is now the only Indian state where a woman as of 2018 was likely to have over three children in her lifetime.

While the game with China is faaaaaar from over, the 1st round has been won by Modi as evidenced by the Chinese starting to withdraw at a few locations. And this came after an unusually stern Modi line "The era of expansionism is over"... making it look like Modi forced the Chinese back.

The anti-modi voices, at least the more clever ones, understand that anti-modism in the face of what "looks" like a victory will only dent their credibility.

Therefore a tactical withdrawal of their rhetoric in line with the Chinese tactical withdrawal. They will fully surge back with their usual anti-modi rhetoric as soon as China surges back on the LAC.

Sonia Gandhi-controlled Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received funds from China
Recently, shocking details had emerged wherein it was revealed how Sonia Gandhi-controlled Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had received funds from the Chinese government during the UPA era under the garb of charities.

Last month we had reported how the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had received funds from not just the Embassy of China but also the Government of China not once but at least thrice between 2005 and 2009. One donation amounted to Rs 10 lakhs and another one amounted to Rs 90 lakhs was funded by the Chinese to the Sonia-Gandhi controlled Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

The Annual Statements of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had also revealed a far more sinister agenda as it turned out, the Chinese government had not only donated to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in the year 2006 but subsequent years as well.

It is important to note that Sonia Gandhi is the Chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. Since the year 2005, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were the trustees.

The significant disclosure had come at a time when the Congress party was caught over its secret deals with the Communist Party of China (CPC) back in 2008. There have been serious allegations against the Congress party and its interim chief Sonia Gandhi over receiving funds from not only China but also for diverting public money for her private foundation.

Not Just China: RGF received funds from other foreign governments too
Over the years, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation has also received donations from the Governments of Ireland, Luxembourg and the European Union as well.

Apart from that, the RGF has also received donations from numerous other dubious sources. One of the sources it received a lot of funds from is the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung. FNS is a liberal organisation based in Germany that is closely associated with the liberal political establishment in the country and is a major donor for the RGF.

Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received funds from PMNRF
Addition to the funds from China, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had re-routed funds within the country, by deviating tax payers money from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.

In the year 2005-2006, the Annual Report makes a disclosure that the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received a donation from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The same disclosure is also made in the 2006-2007 report. Again in 2007-2008, the Foundation for a ‘donation’ from the PMNRF.

Though the amount of such donation is not clear yet, it is a fact that a donation was indeed made.

The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) was established in the year 1948. Initially, the purpose of the fund was to provide assistance to displaced people from Pakistan during and right after the partition of India.

The resources of the PMNRF are now utilized primarily to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of the major accidents and riots.

Ministries of Indian Government donated to RGF during UPA rule
In addition to such organisations, the RGF has also received huge donations from multiple government institutions. The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund is one of them but their annual reports reveal that RGF received funds from multiple government ministries when the UPA was in power.

The Ministries who were partners with RGF and donated to them include the Ministries of Environment and Forest, Health and Family Welfare, Small Scale Industries and even the Ministry of Home Affairs. All of this is greatly disturbing.

Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received funds from Mehul Choksi
It was also it has later revealed that fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi too had made undisclosed donations to the Sonia Gandhi-led Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in 2014-15.

The Annual Reports of the the Rajiv Gandhi foundation received funds from an organisation named Naviraj Estates Private Limited. Mehul Choksi is one of the directors of this company. However, it is not yet clear how much fund did Rajiv Gandhi Foundation receive from Mehul Choksi.

Mehul Choksi and his nephew Nirav Modi are economic fugitives, who have fled the country in 2018 after Rs 14,000-crore PNB fraud surfaced. Choksi got the citizenship of Antigua after fleeing from the country after he was accused in the multi-crore PNB scam.

The Congress party’s foundation received funds from partners of Huawei
Further, the annual report of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation for the year 2018-19 had disclosed that it had also received funds from Bharti Foundation. The Bharti Foundation was one of the partners with Chinese telecom giant Huawei, recognised widely as an extended arm of the Chinese state.

The annual report states that income for the RGF for the year 2018-19 from grants and donations was Rs.95,91,766 rupees.

The US intelligence officials have been raising concerns for years about the potential for Huawei to use its network access to spy, or worse, to shut down communications in the event of a cyberwar. Despite the threat posed by Huawei, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had managed to receive funds from Huawei’s partners as late as 2018-19.

One would have thought that republic TV would have at least been covering the opposition in MH

Maharashtra: Chief Minister sits at home while Leader of Opposition tours the state extensively amid coronavirus outbreak
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/maharas ... vis-tours/
Maharashtra continues to be the most affected state by the Chinese Coronavirus. Almost 30% of total cases in the country can attributed alone to the state of Maharashtra. In such a situation, you expect chief minister of the state firmly taking control of situation and touring the state to keep officials on toes. Instead what we are seeing? Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has hardly left his private residence ‘Matoshree’ leaving the state completely on the mercy of other ministers and bureaucrats.

Just like his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal, Uddhav Thackeray doesn’t handle a single portfolio in Maharashtra Government and just presides the state as Chief Minister.

On the other hand, leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis is touring the state extensively, visiting different cities and hospitals and holding review meetings. Being leader of opposition, which is a statutory post, he can hold review meetings but can’t pass instructions to the officials. Even then he is taking every effort to be seen on ground and doing his bit as responsible opposition leader. However mainstream media has failed to recognize his efforts, and almost censored his visits to various affected places. People are coming to know about these visits, only through social media.

Was opposition really sleeping or is opposition in this?

Telangana Wakes Up To Find Old Secretariat Building Demolished Overnight, New One To Cost Rs 500 Crore
https://swarajyamag.com/news-brief/tela ... -500-crore
In an operation that literally caught the citizens napping, the K Chandrasekhara Rao government in Telangana demolished the Secretariat buildings during wee hours on Tuesday (7 July).

The demolition was carried out without any notice being given in advance to anyone among the general public. The decision was carried out secretly since the Rao government did not want any protest against the demolition, especially by the Opposition parties.

The demolition, which will now pave way for a new Secretariat at a cost of Rs 500 crore, was carried out after the Chief Minister gave his clearance on Monday night.

Muslims hurled abuses and casteist slurs, attacked us with sharp weapons: Mahadalits in Begusarai
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/mahadal ... ttack-fir/

A case has been filed against some members of the Muslim community in Bihar’s Begusarai for perpetrating violence against the Mahadalit community. Shankar Paswan and his family members have accused Muslims in the Pipra Dewas village of committing atrocities against them. Already the area is categorised as highly sensitive and has witnessed several such communal strifes in the past. In this regard, OpIndia talked to the victims to know their side of the story.

India might see 2.87 lakh Covid cases per day by February 2021, MIT study reveals

They have also projected that the total number of cases worldwide would be between 20 crore and 60 crore by "spring 2021" (March-May) in the absence of a treatment.

is there some co-relation between the "returning" migrant workers, and an almost forced stampede like scenario with motivating forces encouraging these people to go home and the rapid nation wide increase in these pandemic cases.

rural India which was safe earlier is now showing signs of an increase

It was just a month and a half ago that these cases were firmly under control.

the increase in positive cases in bangalore is like a spreading wild fire with no areas safe or unaffected

Not to forget, the Judiciary is showing some spine here and there. IMHO this was always why Congress could muzzle everyone while building coalition or when controlling eco-system. They knew their way around the judiciary.

Vikas Dubey is a victim of Discrimination in quota system, lack of job opps & oppression of Brahmins under the ‘Tilak tarazu aur talwar, inko maro jute char’ govts. He had no choice but to protect his kind from...and I can't do this BS even if I try. How does the left do it?

You start reading this tweet and you wonder what’s wrong with her...she was such a sensible person...and then it hits you WHAM!!! What a brilliant way to show a mirror to people who normalise terrorism, justify religious exceptionalism & rationalise bad behaviour.

Entire “Dubey going to Shiva temple” thing is scripted to fan Thakur-Brahmin rivalry hoax against Yogi ji. Interestingly this strategy to portray Yogi ji as anti-Brahmin (hilariously) first emerged from the Congress/SP camp. So who is scripting the narrative?

One should not discount BSP’s “Brahmin wing” either. Have been known to conduct mischief on these lines before. Ofcourse there is also suspicious behaviour of partymen. Hope Yogi ji weeds this out quickly. The vicious snake killed 8 police officers. Should be brought to justice

Congress leader Udit Raj’s organisation makes derogatory comments against Brahmins, compares the community to ‘pigs’
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/dalit-a ... ssion=true
The self-proclaimed Dalit organisation All India Parisangh, run by the Congress leader Udit Raj, which has time and again resorted to such vile derogatory casteist hurls targeting Brahmins, resorted to the anti-Brahmin propaganda by posting an image of a pig wearing ‘Janeu’ – the sacred thread.

By openly propagating anti-Brahmin sentiments and comparing Brahmins to ‘pigs’, the Parisangh claimed that the Indian judiciary is only comprised of Brahmins. Expressing its contempt for country’s judiciary, the Dalit organisation claimed that ‘Brahmin’ judges in the Indian courts only recommended fellow people from the community, who were then selected as judges by the third set of Brahmins.

The derogatory comments were not only directed at the Brahmins of the country but also an attack on the independence of the judiciary. In a hurry to propagate its caste politics, the Dalit organisation, which is run by a Congress member, has now shamefully resorted to referring the upper caste communities as ‘pigs’.

How much did govt spend and how many died because of this? Malaysia? Zakir Naik? Delhi riots?

Nizamuddin Markaz: Delhi Court sets 60 Tablighi Jamaat members from Malaysia free for a ₹7000 fine
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/nizamud ... ssion=true
The order was passed by Metropolitan Magistrate Siddharth Malik after the Nizamuddin Markaz attendees sought for a lesser punishment and accepted the ‘mild’ charges under a plea bargaining process. Advocate S Hari Haran informed that the accused could walk free after the complainant, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Lajpat Nagar, Inspector (Nizamuddin) and Additional Commissioner of Police (Lajpat Nagar) did not object to their plea bargain.

What does the law say?
As per reports, an accused can plead guilty to an offence and seek lesser punishment under a plea deal. Under the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure), an accused can file for a plea bargain in cases where no crime had been committed against women or children below 14 years. It further includes offences where the maximum punishment is 7-year imprisonment or the ones that do not affect the socio-economic conditions of the society.

PAC to review border road construction at LAC, procurement of high-altitude clothing for troops.

In the wake of the recent violent clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in eastern Ladakh, the parliament's PAC on Friday decided to review the construction of border roads at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and procurement of high-altitude clothing for the armed forces, and may call the Defense Secretary and other top officials to be briefed on the same. Friday's meeting of the 22-member Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chaired by leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was attended by 17 out of the total 20 members. Its two seats are vacant.(Have to be careful on the machinations of Congress, Communist and other MP's controlled/influenced by the chinese who may try to hamper the working of the border roads organization by calling for Audit of its various under construction projects and try other means to put roadblocks in its smooth functioning)

Members of the PAC, in which BJP enjoys majority and is led by senior party leader Bhupender Yadav, thwarted Chowdhury's attempt to select the PM Cares Fund for examination saying its amount was not sanctioned by the parliament and therefore it cannot be taken up by the committee. MPs from BJD and JD(U) also supported the BJP on the issue.(The b a s t a r d s are on not wasting any time and are working on the BIF agenda)

Meanwhile, the PAC has decided to examine various subjects with special focus being given to the CAG report number 5 of 2017, a performance audit of the Sino-India Border Roads, and CAG report number 13 of 2019 which is on the provisioning and procurement of high altitude-clothing, equipment, ration and housing for soldiers.

As per the papers circulated among the members of the committee on Friday, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on border roads is the top most subject for examination by the committee during the year.

CAG's Report 5 of 2017, which in the wake of the recent face-off on LAC between the soldiers of Indian and China, "talks about the highly important issue of construction of Indo-China border roads by Border Roads Organisation seems to be reviewed and further improved upon," as per the agenda papers of the meeting.

Similarly, troops in high-altitude areas such as Siachen, Ladakh, etc need to be provided high-altitude clothing, equipment, special ration and housing facilities and the CAG report number 13 of 2019 points out at delays in procurement of clothing and equipment for troops in these regions, as per PAC's agenda papers.

Sources in the committee said the PAC may call the Defense Secretary and other top officials to be briefed by them on the same.

Guys, watching Pappu toadies and their ecosystem kick and scream at the alleged encounter killing of Vikas Dubey, here is my take.

1. I think YogiJi wanted to do the right thing. Kudos to UP police for getting Vikas arrested or surrender whatever

2, Till Vikas was arrested, you had the BJP hating cabal concoct all kinds of conspiracy theories that somehow YogiJi and BJP will let him escape. however, after he was cuaght, their narrative changed.

3. Mine is a CT no doubt, but what the BIF and Lutyen cabal were waiting for is Pappu's and Akhilesh's hench men to get this guy Vijas Dubey in prison to implicate some high level BJP functionary, going all the way up to YogiJi and other BJP big wigs, and then they go on a ferocious attack on BJP painting them as goondas, mafia etc. In fact, something like that would surely have dented YogiJi's image or at least he would be wasting time fending off bogus allegations thrown at him instead of governing the state

4. But BIF/Lutyen hopes were dashed when some of the big wig friends of Vikas, fearing he would spill the beans on them, ensured that the car he was travelling in meets with an 'accident' and the rest is a B-grade Bollywood script (sorry to borrow this phrase from Shoba De of al people, but she is right for the wrong reasons).

5. My point is not to mock the UP police. I think there are some good, some bad. But the Lutyen BIF cabal taking the moral high ground claiming fake encounter, goonda raj etc is a bit too rich. They were salivating at the prospect of using this guy to unseat BJP in UP. And their plans were foiled.
