How can Modi/Shah/Fadnavis extract their pound of flesh if they are to keep Sonia Sena Chief Udhhavuddin as CM by nominating him to the upper house ?
If not UT, Ajit Pawar can/would become the CM, but what would Sena achieve out of that? They would become the laughing stock of the state, excellent PR agency notwithstanding.

one reason why the muslims are opposing NRC is that their true population figures as a percentage of the population will be revealed and the minority tag may then well be removed from them.

they are slyly building up to a second partition, using the east timor model to try and tip the scales

cutting off assam at the chicken neck as reiterated by some two bit footpath ideologue is an indication that outside support, as well as some serious thought, has gone into this whole shahbeen bagh type of disruption including the tablighi dramatics.

going forward, bengal and begum will both turn out to be a major area of disturbance if such a thing happens.

naik is trying to galvanize offshore support for the muslims causing trouble in India.

Zakir Naik Wants Islamic Nations To Collect Data On Indian Non-Muslims ‘Attacking’ Muslims, Arrest Them During Travel

M R Subramani
Apr 30, 2020,

Controversial preacher and Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) founder Zakir Naik has said that Islamic countries across the globe should collect data of non-Muslims in India who “attack” Muslims and arrest them when they land up in their countries.

In a video interaction with Pakistan-American preacher Yasir Qadhi, Naik said these Islamic nations should not only keep a record of non-Muslims in their countries but also in other countries, especially India.

“The rich non-Muslims travel to Gulf and different Muslim countries. If these Muslim countries have data of these people attacking or spreading venom against Muslims, they should arrest them under their (own) law once they enter their territory,” he said in his interaction on Qadhi’s YouTube channel.

Naik is currently living in Malaysia after fleeing India. He is facing charges in India of provoking communal disharmony and indulging in unlawful activities that incited terror in the country. He is also under investigation in India and Bangladesh for the terror attack at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka in July 2016.

The controversial Islamic preacher, who reportedly inspired the mastermind of Sri Lanka Easter blasts last year that killed 290 persons, said the number of Hindus who are against Muslims had trebled since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in 2014...........

...........Naik reiterated his claim that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had sent an emissary offering him a free passage to India if he supported the abrogation of Article 370.

India has made it clear that it is pursuing its efforts to get the Islamic preacher deported from Malaysia and try him for the offences charged against him.

Naik said the Modi government’s plan was to drive him out from the country. He said when he decided not to return to India, 13-15 countries had offered him protection.

After weighing the pros and cons, the IRF preachers, who also faces money laundering charges, shortlisted three countries before finally deciding to shift to Malaysia.

He said almost all Islamic countries in the world were facing problems and Malaysia was the “best of the worst”.

That Malaysia was far off from the war zone, away from direct influence or bullying of Western nations and the country possessing a strong Muslim passport that ensures travel to 185 countries without a visa were among the reasons why he chose to take refuge in Putrajaya, the administrative capital.

sena will not let go the CM's gaddi.

UT's son or even UT's wife may take over.

Per reports, the wife seems far more capable than either of the two entitled sena pappus.

expect a small time storm in a teacup type of factional power struggle before such an event takes place.

pawarful peoples are quite capable of putting a spoke in the sena wheel as are the mafia peoples unless more freedom to loot is unconditionally allowed

UT has understood that overcoming all these legal hurdles to continue in the office may not an easy task and so has sought Modi's help to get through this constitutional, as well as, political crisis.

UT may become the first cm in India to politically fall prey to the chinese virus.

Pawarfuls may see this as an opportunity to have unhindered access to the loot, without having to share the spoils. Already there are reports of fair price grains being pilfered away and sold to flour mills for a pittance and the proceeds shared. B-grade package flours for example are already flooding my neighbourhood shops with the shopkeepers saying ITC or Pillsbury flours are not being delivered except through larger chains.

Controversial preacher and Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) founder Zakir Naik has said that..

Shows that decades after formation of UN the intended benefits of international travel aren't supposedly as free as for believers. Some countries have to find out how these kind of person of interested groups are making threats and putting careers at risk while making some gang up around international travel.

Looks like the FATF just gave the UAE some data to collect and act on.

UAE doing too little to stem terrorist financing, says watchdog
The U.S.-allied Gulf state, which includes the region's financial and commercial center Dubai, will now be put under a year-long observation by the Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Maharashtra @60! Political intolerance virus weakening fight against Covid-19

April 29, 2020,
Vinay Sahasrabuddhe

Maharashtra will be completing 60 years of its existence on May 1. Since then, Maharashtra has come a long way. While caste conflicts were practically in every other State much before independence, Maharashtra perhaps was unique in having witnessed a conspicuous division in its regional polity on caste lines. Much before independence, Congress in Maharashtra had two clear steams, routinely referred to as Brahmin and other-than-Brahmin. Although pronouncedly antithetical to each other, they remained under one roof. This spirit of accommodation continued even during the Samyukt Maharashtra movement, that resulted in carving out of Maharashtra and Gujarat, out of the erstwhile Mumbai State.

Congress of those days had mastered the art of usurping smaller ideological groups. Notably, most projects in political expansionism undertaken by Congress later at the national level were first played out in Maharashtra. Congress party opposed Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar but later ensured that many in the Scheduled Caste Federation, -Dr Ambedkar’s Party- eventually join Congress. Same thing happened with the Socialists. Post CWC session at Awadi, the entire socialists movement lost relevance leading to its internalisation by the Congress. In Shiv Sena, Congress has found its latest and freshest prey. And there is a method in this madness. First, tarnish the image of ideological opponents, later keep ignoring them and lastly lure them to be a part of the hold-all conglomeration so aggressively that ideological distinction and identities evaporate. Those who do not fall in line, have to face a thought-apartheid of the worst kind.

The whole country is witnessing as to how incumbent Govt in Maharashtra is failing in containing the impact of COVID-19 and few are writing about this as well. However , what is not being talked about is the other more perilous virus, the virus of political intolerance!

Three incidents during the last one month are a clear testimony. First, a senior Minister in Thane called a young social worker, -accused of putting up a social media post with an ugly caricature of the Minister,- and had him mercilessly thrashed both by his own goon friends and also policemen, right in the precincts of his residence under the Minister’s watchful eyes. Later, instead of filing an FIR against the Minister and his goons, the young social worker and his wife were slapped with cases. Sadly, these are indications of a scary future for a State that had seen near total elimination of the underworld and criminals shielded by politicians, only few years back.

The second was the incident at Palghar. The particular part of Palghar district where two saffron clad elderly Sadhus were lynched, has been notorious for violent activism of the ultra-Left. RSS and Jan Sangh had been trying to withstand the bloody politics of the Left for several decades. Even if one agrees with State Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey and refrains from looking at the incident from the angle communal politics, the crime doesn’t become less heinous. The State Govt has neither ordered any judicial enquiry nor declared any financial assistance to the families of the victims. It is surprising that even when section 144 order was already in effect, a mob this large was allowed to assemble. Besides, why did the police made no attempt to protect the Sadhus at all? Are we to understand that lynchings of Sadhus are less serious than others who sadly have lost their lives in similar incidents ? Why is the State Human Rights Commission silent? Questions galore and their answers may not be in conformity with the progressivism that Maharashtra is so proud of.

The third in the series of worrisome incidents is attempts to muzzle media in one way or the other. A prominent staffer of leading TV Channel faced unspeakable harassment by the Maharashtra police after she tried to dig into the travel history of the daughter of a Minister, when it was revealed that the lady had travelled from Spain. Without any logic, the State Govt banned distribution of printed copies of daily newspaper. When reprimanded by the High Court, Govt order was amended a little. Simply because a party is a partner in the ruling alliance, can some criticism of its National President invite police action? And remember, journalists today are not of the Emergency era type, to agree to crawl when asked to bend, as was famously described by L K Advani. Ironically, otherwise in the forefront for defending freedom of expression, many ‘progressives’ decided to look the other way.

At the root of this hypocrisy is pathological hatred of certain ideologies and their adherents. Remember, what is today called as mob lynching was perhaps first witnessed in Maharashtra, immediately after the dastardly assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Since then, all those adhering to the views of RSS and Veer Sawarkar have been facing political untouchability of the worst kind for no fault of theirs. And remember, this is from those in intelligentsia and academia. This kind of thought-lockdown is the product of prejudices and closed mind. Neither Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar nor any of the true adherents of progressivism later, ever practised this ideological enmity. Persons in their sixties are supposed to be elderly and hence more mature too. Let’s hope, Maharashtra at 60 tries to put an end to ideological apartheid and revisits the fundamentals of democracy. It is high time, politicians who talk progressivism, also walk on the same path!

In 1940s,50s,60s Andhra, the two dominant castes of AP - Reddy's and Kamma's battled for political influence as they still do now. Reddy's and Brahmins dominated Congress . Kammas's needed a vehicle to assert themselves and grow politically. Jan Sangh was non existent in AP then as BJP is now. The only alternative were the CPI and later CPM. So Kamma's of those era became Communists. When the movie icon N.T.Rama Rao (a Kamma himself) who had cordial relations with RSS, who became famous by doing Krishna, Rama, Duryodhana , Karna and other Hindu epic roles in movies and who never shied away from openly roaming around in his saffron clothes established TDP in 1980s in the name of Telugu pride, the descendants of all Commie Kamma's joined TDP en mass . His son-in-law and later TDP president Chandrababu Naidu even sent special police units trained in jungle guerrilla warfare (the famed Greyhounds) to wipe out the naxalites from AP some of the top leaders then were his fellow Kamma's as they were seen as hindrance for the state's economic development and his plans to make Hyderabad a IT capital. Communism in AP never recovered after its main patronizers Kamma's abandoned it in 80s and 90s and became capitalists and found a alternative political platform in TDP.

Looks like Uddhavuddin's phone-a-friend strategy worked. I dont know why Modi had to have a bleeding heart for backstabbers, with the numbers on their side, UT is sure to win. The ruthlessness with which the BIFs would have handled this if it was the other way round, a dharmic CM calling a Pak-Pasand PM for help.

5,450 tonnes of free rice to 2,985 mosques, 47 temples have to pay rupees 10 crores: Tamil Nadu government order

The Tamil Nadu government has asked 47 temples to donate total of rupees 10 crores to the CM Relief Fund to fight Chinese coronavirus. But on the hand, the state government has ordered the distribution of 5,450 tonnes of free rice to 2,985 mosques of the state on April 16 in the month of Ramzan, so that those who were keeping Rojas would not suffer. This rice at Rs 21/kg will cost the Tamil Nadu government little over Rs 11 crore.

At a time, when the struggle to free the temple administration from the clutches of the government is intensifying, the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment department(HR and CE) of the Tamil Nadu government has set aside 47 temples in addition to the amount earmarked for taking care of poor. CM Relief Fund has directed temples to provide an additional 10 crores.

How do you conclude that he does ? Modi may simply have facilitated an election, but how that is to be managed is up to the state BJP unit, JP Nadda, and maybe Amit Shah.

So far Uddhav has been made to run from pillar to post, and will be sweating all the way till May 27.

The Guv kept his MLC nomination on his desk (or in the trash) for 2 months and finally declined it.

Then he requested EC to see if elections can be held. The Guv has no power over the EC which is a different constitutional authority. EC can decide that it is not in a position to hold an election by May 27.

If EC decides to hold elections, Uddhav will be thrown into the election dog pit. There is a 21-day "campaigning" period, so the election would have to be declared basically next week. There are 9 vacancies. With four "major" parties in the fray, NCP and Congis may want to ensure their candidates win and not offer too many (or any) of their MLA votes for Uddhav. With only 56 SS MLAs, there is not much to spare. With social distancing and lockdown, it would be much tougher to coordinate number games.

If BJP fields a candidate against Uddhav, it is possible the party may go in for defeating him at the small cost of losing 1 seat.

If BJP lets him contest unopposed, then I will agree that the party has decided to give him a free pass this time. Not sure about "bleeding heart" but there may be other reasons to let him continue during the corona lockdown. I hope the need to be grateful will dawn upon El Dorko, but even if it doesn't there will be many opportunities to get the better of him later this year.

TWITTER

@vinayak_jain

One of the recent narratives pushed by some is that Narendra Modi is ‘spineless.’ I concur.

And to add credence to this narrative I’d like to recall 20 incidents from Narendra Modi’s life that reflect how weak and uninspiring he’s been.

▪️Emergency —

He fought against Indira’s dictatorship so much so that he was given a 5-minute standing ovation in June 2000 in Gujarat at a reunion of those who were detained under MISA.

But what’s gutsy about standing up against an all-powerful leader intoxicated by power?

▪️Calamities —

1998 Kandla cyclone. 2000 Ahmedabad floods. 2001 Kutch earthquake. He took responsibility of leading Gujarat in this backdrop.

But this is no biggie! The lord createth and the lord destroyeth, right? Guts would’ve been for Modi to tweet, not lead!

▪️Godhra Riots —

A massive conspiracy to plunge India into riots and destroy Modi and the BJP. Modi handled the riots in a way that Gujarat has been peaceful since.

So? Anyone could’ve done it. You just give orders to the police and other forces. Big deal!

▪️2002 Elections —

2000 municipal elections: BJP lost Ahmedabad and Rajkot, wiped out in 21 of 23 panchayats. Vote share down to 20% from 80%. Earthquake, riots. But BJP won 127/182 seats.

Eh! Isme kya? All experts here have won many more elections than Modi, haven’t they?

▪️Questioning —

Gets grilled for 9 hours by a vindictive government. He wanted the questioning to get over in one day so he sat till 1 am.

But such calm and grit in the face of overwhelming conspiracy is child’s play! We all have it in us to hold ourselves firm like this!

▪️Ishrat Jahan —

A terrorist comes to assassinate you, you foil the plot, and then you’re conspired against so you can be thrown in jail as revealed by DG Vanzara.

Modi’s fault is he let this conspiracy happen! Most experts here would’ve killed it in its womb. Feeble Modi!

▪️Journey from 2000 to 2013 —

Abused relentlessly. Targeted with deadly conspiracies. Life at risk. But didn’t quit. Kept on challenging the ecosystem.

Again, so? Finding people in this yuga who give up everything to transform the nation at personal risk is SO easy!

▪️Patna Bomb Blast 2013 —

Told at the airport that bomb blasts had occurred at the ground where he was to address a rally. Yet he went ahead.

Ye to bewakoofi hai na! Where is spine in this? Would’ve been gutsy had he gone back and tweeted his speech and an apology.

▪️Surgical Strikes —

Made the LoC redundant. Transformed war dynamics with Pakistan. Risked a larger confrontation and more casualties that would’ve led to him being blamed.

But what’s courageous about fighting terrorism head-on through the use of muscle?

▪️Demonetisation —

With a stroke outlawed big currencies. Pushed the poor to the streets, and the rich into a dizzy over losing money. Knew he’d be criticised heavily yet he went ahead.

Ye to bache ki pocket money kaatne jitne aasan hai. Kya Modi ji ap bhi!

▪️Doklam —

Stood up to a stronger China. Stood up against China’s immense psychological warfare. Stood up FOR a weaker Bhutan. Stood firm with the Indian Army.

Risked a major war. Risked economic repercussions. But again, nothing majorly gutsy about this.

▪️Air Strikes —

Unprecedented use of air force. Struck Pakistani territory. Could’ve easily snowballed into a war with a demented nuclear-armed nation.

Real spine was criticising Modi for a late reaction by tweeting, not actually spearheading a monumental decision.

▪️Abhinandan —

Prevented Abhinandan from meeting a fate like that of Saurabh Kalia. One can only imagine what Modi must have said to Imran for him to release the pilot.

Why did Abhinandan even fall in Pakistani hands? Why didn’t Modi immediately attack? Arghh!

▪️370 —

70 years of vested interests. Open backing by Pakistan for decades. Terror-infested. Anti-India sentiment. Yet, 370 gone, and not a single terror attack after.

But if Modi really had spine he would’ve abrogated 370 in June 2014 right after coming to power!

▪️Lutyens and NGOs Out —

Throws out hundreds of leeches from Lutyens bungalows triggering the intolerance campaign. Stomps unaccounted funding of NGOs that were working against India.

But real guts would’ve been to collaborate with the NGOs and fill his own pockets.

▪️Ram Mandir —

A civilisational matter with no real solution in sight. Yet in just over 5 years of power Ram Mandir became a reality. Moreover, not a SINGLE incident of communal tension arouse.

But a spineless Modi has no concern for Hindus and simply hops temples!

▪️Yogi, the CM —

Won the UP election. Made Yogi Adityanath the CM despite knowing how the ecosystem will target him. Did so because he understands the cruciality of a Hindu revival.

But real spine is in pressing keys and advising, not in taking such visionary decisions.

▪️Lockdown —

1.3 bn restricted to homes. Economy on halt. Dream of a $5 tn economy hurt. Managing this daunting situation with limited resources and freedom.

Nothing bold about this! Can he sit at home with family and sermonise how to run a government? https://t.co/1F1Ugsk7K7

▪️Halt China —

Changed FDI rules to prevent opportunistic takeovers by China. A move fully in national interest against the most aggressive economic power in the world.

But Modi has jelly for a spine.

▪️Standing Up to America —

Didn’t succumb to America’s threats and pressure on purchase of the S-400 or the Chabahar Port project with Iran. Kept India’s security first.

What’s so great about that, huh? Spine would’ve been to challenge the US to a conflict, right?

Narendra Modi is as staunch a patriot as I will ever see. I need nothing more than that. If I can’t trust and unflinchingly support a man with pious intentions and all good traits hard to find in one person then no one is worthy of my trust.

With you forever @narendramodi ji

both the congis and the NCP are keen to west the CM's gaddi away from the SS.

It is only the pawarful peoples who can actually do something about it. If they attempt to split the SS using a coup to unseat the pappus, the BJP will quickly move in using the same opened door.

the chinese virus crisis has opened the eyes of many a disgusted voter in MAH and Modi's strong approval ratings will polarize them even further ensuring a sticky wicket for all except the BJP. the single source will not support anyone except their own guys so their votes will get split between the ncp and the congis and players like owasi who love to fish in troubled waters.

The option available to the SS is a poison pill type of defense tactic that effectively lets the BJP in and cedes control completely to Fadnavis. This may actually boost the SS's image in the eyes of the traditional RW supporters and allow them to atone for their sins.

else, SS should pull out and precipitate new elections.

It is only the SS that still holds the key because, without the support of the SS, the specter of fresh elections looms large.

WRT, the UT and his not holding the seat in the LC. I must confess that I don't really understand why UT is in hot water. Can't he simply resign from the post of the CM and then be sworn in again five minutes later.

Is this action unconstitutional??

Obviously.
In any case, if he resigns, there's no guarantee Guv is going to ask him to form the govt. In fact, as per established practice he would almost certainly not be the first person he asks.

Similar thing has happened before, though for a minister and not a CM. But principle is the same and Supreme Court has disallowed it. This is the case law:

There seems to be a recent SC ruling that such a stunt would amount to a fraud on the constitution. Therefore it will not work.

Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar @mamidala90

JNU to conduct webinar on ‘Leadership lessons through Ramayana on May 2 and 3 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will be coordinated by Prof. Santosh Kumar Shukla, JNU and Prof. Mazhar Asif, JNU.

https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1255152118240960512
Some people have asked me why there is a webinar on leadership lessons from Ramayan at JNU. During the lockdown period we have conducted several webinars related to COVID-19. This is a part of such series of webinars that we have been conducting: JNU VC Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar
Mahatma Gandhi emphasized how Lord Ram taught us to uphold truth, justice, equality&equanimity even in adverse situation. When we're fighting COVID we thought there are great lessons to learn from Ramayan to strengthen ourselves. I see no reason why anybody should oppose it: JNU VC

why does this remind one of shaheenbagh, the language and the sentiments are identical and perhaps it also represents the common feeling of the ummah

the danes have invited these ingrates, all fighting age males in the guise of "refugees" and deserve this slap to the face to hopefully bring them back to their senses.

Migrant tells Danish man: “You Danes are animals, you will be exterminated” (VIDEO)

Although it’s difficult to make out all the words, Kim Møller, an author at the political blog Uriasposten, has transcribed what can be heard on the video.

The migrant says:

“We have more children. You get one or two. In ten or fifteen years there will be more Muslims than Danes in this country. … The Danes are five million, You are almost extinct man. … You ****** with animals, that’s why you don’t get children…You Danes are being exterminated. You’re like animals… I will never be Danish, I want my mentality and my tradition, but I will stick my Danish passport and the Danish People’s Party in my ass, I will burn my Danish passport… We will not integrate, we will continue to ****** your society… Suck a cock!”

Recently, Muslim migrants in Denmark have come out of the woodwork to brazenly reveal their abject disdain for the Danish people, their culture, and their religion.

About two weeks ago on Easter Sunday, the holiest day for Christians around the world, a Danish church was defaced with Arabic graffiti which read: “We conquer Denmark. There is no God but Allah,” Voice of Europe reported.

"Chetak" -

In general I agree with you, but the upcoming MLC election - if held - is not a public election, it is an vidhan parishad election in which all 9 vacant seats are those which are elected from the vidhan sabha (like a rajya sabha election).

I am referring to possible cross-voting, especially since it may not be possible to manage things the same way "in person" due to corona.

According to the usual formula, with 288 MLAs and 9 vacant seats, a candidate needs at least 29 first-preference votes to get through in the first round of counting.

With the current numbers: SS 56, NCP 54, INC 44, plus other 16 small parties/indeps on one side, with BJP 105 and 12 indeps/small parties on the other.

Under normal circumstances, SS, INC, and NCP can safely elect one candidate each, and BJP can elect 3. The remaining 3 seats would have close contests.

But given the present circumstances, even the 1 "safe" seat for Uddhav may not be safe. If NCP, INC, BJP et al enter considerably more candidates than their safe seats warrant, there could be lots of cross-voting.

What kind of snake yashwant sinha was in BJP.

TWITTER:

@YashwantSinha

For the managers of public broadcaster Doordarshan, India is already a Hindu Rashtra. Govt of India is taking advantage of the lockdown to push its agenda by stealth. Beware.

one apt response for the snake yashwant sinha who is looking for a seat for himself from any willing party. He tried aap in dilli but no go, even after he made their budget for them

Lockdown has been eased, now you can buy battery for your TV remote.

Once you switch channels Hindu Rashtra will disappear.

MLC election does not involve voting by the public. It's not assembly election.
