I like what Abhijeet Iyer Mitra boldly said on a TV discussion recently, that Mohammed Zubair is a terrorist enabler and supporter, almost on a plane with Osama Bin Laden, who himself never actually killed anyone, but ordered, instigated, facilitated terrorism everywhere.

CJI Ramana Is Off The Mark: We Need A Second Republic Built Around A Dharmic Constitution
This should lead all thinking people to ask what kind of Constitution would have worked best in India, since the evidence is overwhelming that the current Constitution is close to breakdown. Today, even judges prejudge guilt before considering the facts. As recently as last week, a two-judge bench headed by Justice Surya Kant, while rejecting Nupur Sharma’s petition to club all her cases into one, observed that she was “single-handedly” responsible for all the violence and subsequent damage to the country’s credibility after her statement about the Prophet. The bench’s observations were oral, and not thankfully part of any verdict, but were they warranted when mobs are running around cities shouting “Sar tan se juda”.

India needs an unapologetically Dharmic constitution, which balances rights with responsibilities, and individual freedoms with community interests. European-style secularism is irrelevant to India, where communities are strong and the state is weak. All communities need to help formulate and adopt such a Dharmic constitution which will not cut into any religious community’s own rights.
We need a Dharmic constitution not because Muslims and Christians cannot be allowed to follow their own faiths, but because cultural unity demands respect for some core Dharmic ideas, especially the aspect of respecting the religions that were birthed in India, and circumscribing the rights of imperialist and expansionist faiths from damaging India’s cultural unity. It is not about who you choose to worship, for this right was never denied in pluralist India. It is about abandoning exclusivity and conflict as the only way to grow faith.

What the judiciary has been defending is the Abrahamic and European ideal of secularism, when it should be defending an Indic plurality and sensibility that transcends religion. Secularism has damaged no religion more than Hinduism, and the judiciary should learn to recognise the damage it has done to Hindu rights in the process of upholding the Constitution as it stands now.

Folks please go and see Rocketry in the theaters. It shows the journey of Namb Narayanan sir as a pioneer in liquid propulsion engines.
And a very intrepid and brave man.

In the second half, we see the venality of the Police and the Justice system that takes over 20 years to declare an innocent man free of charges.
And how the vindictive politicians were to keep reopening charges and not paying the court-awarded money.

I got out with a strong sense that both the Police and Justice systems need to be reformed.
India has 22 police systems and even center has no authority over them.
A mere police inspector acting under orders(don't know who gave0 manages to cook up a case in TN and there is no recourse even when it is proven fabricated. Judge needs 20 years for dismissing fabricated evidence.
And mind you NN was a close friend of Kalam sir.

Yes, we need to relook at the constitution afresh.
The Constitution of India was written in large part by John Dewey (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dewey), professor of BR Ambedkar at Columbia Univ. John Dewey was also instrumental in China's Red Book for Mao.

At most you would except these type of media outlets/individuals to make the sweeping claim "It's the climate of Hindu majoritarianism and hate generated by the current dispensation, that is causing an extreme reaction from the minority communities" But to actually call for the death of Nupur Sharma, that is sickening and abominable.

Couldn't agree more with the author. Add a colonial master's CPC & CrPC to this constitution and we have the root cause of a bunch of phenomenon that drag Indians and India down from the inside.

Why are you awake now? There has been Hinduphobia going around for many years, including last 8 years. In retrospective, seeing some old videos and interviews on YouTube, there were many insults to Hindu gods yet it was tolerated and accepted. All democratic governments are driven by pressure points, yet Hindus lack the collective voice and this will to act/do. Also instead of having one big collective petition, we have 10 different and all striving to pull the other down. Even professional, Hindu colleagues don't really care about each other, compare that with Muslims and other communities. There is just a lot of jealously and show-off.

BRF enunciated the meaning of "log kya kahenge ...", but it failed to identify the species, that is "SvaFlagellus Indicus". In english, self flagellating Indians.

There is a class of Indians, some included on BRF since the set is very large, that wake up every morning, have tea or coffee, and launch a tirade here so that all their frustrations are vented. Rinse and repeat every day. And of course they build outrage further for the next day since their one point agenda is not being solved anytime soon. That is as of yesterday.

And they are the vocal elites. The ordinary Indian does not have time and patience for such egalitarian & elitist pursuits as coming to BRF and espousing a pet outrage. And then thinking of themselves highly for say shifting the Overton window or what not.

Most Indians have to worry about: Water, Roads, Electricity, Cooking gas, Education, and Health care while living as dregs on society's margins. And in the latter two, the fear of getting stuck in a debt that will endanger their entire livelihood is real and palpable on a daily basis.

Hence for SvaFlagellus Indicus, the following do not matter:

1. Toilets
2. Water
3. Electricity
4. Transportation
5. Food Security
6. Education
7. Health Care

And they are so self-absorbed that they will go to battle to satisfy their ego, while the battle they rage will destroy the most important things that matter to all Indians, like above. Yes, that's what matter to all Indians.

Understand, there is a name and place for FoS and FoE and that battle for ideology must be carried, but not to be conflated with the agenda of the government and the agenda of political representatives.

For example, on the current outbursts by one of the chief penguin on a case which was basically a FoS issue, the law min clearly said that appropriate discussions will be taken up in appropriate channels. And still, the Raita Wingers are picking up the rant from Kejru and saying "Mudi Say something"! What will Mudi say? Since anything he says will be used to box him into a corner! If he publicly tweets, justices need to stop making intemperate remarks, the Chief Penguin may go to former-UK and start making further statements on the independence of the judiciary. While both the law min and Mudi did say things in the past in judiciary conventions! This the sub-species of Raita Wingers will ignore.

Coming back to the 7 issues that really matter, here are two items that I want to bring forward:

1. One of our own BRF member got a surprise. The member in question worked tirelessly under Mudi's ayushman scheme to help patients. In fact several of them. The surprise was a nice certificate from GOI appreciating the efforts of that person. And remember, no representation was made to any official and no influence was sought. It was as if someone was monitoring the scheme and noticing the efforts and reaching out with an appreciation. I am sure that member is redoubling effort and helping more Indians.

2. A girl child sits for the 12th board exam and gets into the merit list. The parent and the student receive formal mail from the government. The mail is very short, simple, and direct. It states that the girl identified with the student id and the board roll number have been noted as meritorious since the student made it to the merit list. As such the government will provide Rs. 80k for each year of a Bachelor's degree if the student chooses the science or technology stream. The aid will be sent directly to the educational institute and the student has to quote the financial aid id. Laconic, dry but powerful

And how come we do not discuss any of such positives and how it is strategic for India?

Release temples from govt. control to whom? Assuming temples have temple management committees, how many of those committees are truly functional? How many of them actually have management structure in place that actually sustains and grows the temple and the community around it?

Even Varanasi, the holiest of the cities and the fulcrum of India's heritage was so closed and kept in squalor that it was akin to cleaning up the augean stables to see the glory we lost.

We need a sustainable fwk to manage temples. Something like wakf, except the raita-wings will fight among themselves. Where is VHP when its leadership is required. Every head of VHP fancies themselves to be the next political runner when their entire goal should be apolitical. Similarly where is Bajrang Dal? Where is their leadership on Gau Raksha?

The Presidential election: the result is a foregone conclusion, but the main interest will be in the degree of crossvoting.

Without crossvoting, one expects Murmu to get roughly 60% vote (about 49% NDA and the rest from declared supporting parties like YSRCP, BJD, JDS, etc). But I think the margin could end up being much higher. Heavy crossvoting may come from within "opposed" parties including DMK.

And in a hilarious twist, MoMo didi may end up screwing her own candidate and crossvoting for Murmu:

It ain't dat simple.

Taking such a huge step would require a lot of planning and may even be unprecedented. I can't think of a single time in our history that major temples were outside of "government control". In fact, the temples would be highly vulnerable otherwise to aggression or other problems.

In ancient times, the "government" was basically the Maharaja and the "community organization" was a certain set of brahmans and other related castes associated with the temple. The king patronized the temple (sometimes even constructed it) and was the "rakshapurush" (protector) of the temple. In case of smaller temples, the local chieftain or Raja was the protector. In other words, the "government" gave (or even stored) resources to the temples, not took from it (unless there was dire need).

Fast forwarding to the present: I personally think it is the actual mode of the government control that is the problem, e.g.,

- taking the temple revenues and using it for other purposes
- appointing nefarious and poltoo characters (many not even Hindus) in the committees to undermine them
- not allowing large scale shuddhikaran/ghar vapasi initiatives

There has to be a way in which the security, sanctity, and proper operation of the temples is ultimately guaranteed by some authority other than just a committee. If the committee is elected by devotees, then some authority has to guarantee the election. If the goremint can simply play the role of "rakshapurush", then the "government control" technically stays but no resources are milked by the government. The communities should certainly play a huge role in taking care of the temple financially.

This applies only to temples, not the structures put up by green men and X-men. Please note the unique and all-important structure of Sanatana dharma which enables all the title suits to recover our temples from vandals, i.e., the fact that the temple premises are the physical residence of the personified ("murti-fied") deity, who has rights to the property. "Shiva" of each jyotirmath is a different person with their own powers.

No green man or X-man can invoke "property rights of hesoos christ or pbuh" and demand government protection for structures that they may have built.

let me extend the same and add to it. since i don't want to take the title of islamophobia let me fire from the shoulders of worlds biggest Islamophobic, who said " There is thus a stagnation not only in the social life but also in the political life of the Muslim community of India.
The Muslims have no interest in politics as such. Their predominant interest is religion. This can be easily seen by the terms and conditions that a Muslim constituency makes for its support to a candidate fighting for a seat. The Muslim constituency does not care to examine the programme of the candidate. All that the constituency wants from the candidate is that he should agree to replace the old lamps of the masjid by supplying new ones at his cost, to provide a new carpet for the masjid because the old one is torn, or to repair the masjid because it has become dilapidated. In some places a Muslim constituency is quite satisfied if the candidate agrees to give a sumptuous feast and in other if he agrees to buy votes for so much a piece. With the Muslims, election is a mere matter of money and is very seldom a matter of social programme of general improvement. Muslim politics takes no note of purely secular categories of life, namely, the differences between rich and poor, capital and labour, landlord and tenant, priest and layman, reason and superstition." by Ambedkar, PAKISTAN OR THE PARTITION OF INDIA, page 232

since the first part matters a lot many people including SvaFlagellus Indicus never get on to street and stone. since the government is not seeing the same pattern repeating that common man is seeing is what making some of the SvaFlagellus Indicus to rise the issue in a socially accepted form. rember people are not worried why Muslim are getting more or they should not get we are worried was there an inorganic growth. was this the reason that they are opposing NPR? why they have problem with NPR? why they want to include Muslims in CAA? is the question that we are trying to understand from the numbers.

it is only you are getting the information now. did you know that there was a massive protest in coorg against Tippu jayanti? it did not make the news till one guy got killed. did you know that burka ban in school issue was 2 months old before it hit the nation media? it came to national media only when Burka side went to press the other side story also came to light. read the local papers you will get more information. many times that also are censored thinking that it is too sensitive.

Twitter may have overreached with this petition. At least, the timing isn’t great.

They are probably feeling confident that the “woke” SC of the immature democracy will fall in line with their disrespect of Indian authorities. And issue a long lecture about the importance of FoE etc.

But Milords are on the warpath against social media because the riffraff are talking about Milords as if they are mere mortals. Milords want parliament to strictly regulate Twitter.

So, what will Milords do with the Twitter petition? Will they pass an order for GoI to allow everything on Twitter except criticisms of Milords?

Will be interesting.

why can we have something like hindu Wakf being setup by government to take care of our interests? was there a central Wakf board before 1954? how was it been managed from 1947 to 1964?
can the government setup a committee in line of RJB and let it manage the temple?

A grand father once recounted to me how for his generation, Nehru could do no wrong. His word was the law: after all wasnt he the suave, English speaking , cultured Indian who hobnobbed regularly with the goras? Plus he was with Gandhi at the forefront so he could do no wrong. Hindsight has proved differently he said.

He warned that we should not make the same mistake.

People are attributing incorrect policies to some sort of 4D chess and Chanakian thinking where none are in evidence. Fact is that this government has no cojones to even do the low hanging fruit such as RTE. The temple thing ttis not so easy, but that’s why we elected vishwaguru: there are ways around it, for example only temples that have working committees with prior performance can be free with massive penalties on fraud. If thats is a will, a lot can be done. But when this is not the agenda, everything appears impossible.

No one is denying the good things the government has done. But that does not mean it has not failed or the government is without the gumption to support core Hindu agenda

Agreed, but constant ranting will not get the job done, the nation is like a super tanker or a Transport aircraft- there are many internal ecosystem and international dependencies, there cannot be fighter aircraft type 9G maneuvers. The ecosystem will have to be slowly rolled back. We need a freindly Govt at the center for at least 10 years for results to show. Nothing can be done if Babudom is full of Kejriwal's

Specially empathising with a smart rational scientist like Nambiji, I wonder if our system, police, judiciary is still on the British time !
I mean we don’t land anywhere on the priority list do we after all the celebs, politicians, puncture guys?
Even worse is the grandstanding of cowardly people in our society who can’t stand in the streets for justice but will happily target an individual to show off their sense of propriety !!
This system and our cowardly society is our downfall.

BJP’s big southern push - sprinter PT Usha (Kerala), legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja (TN), spiritual leader Veerendra Heggade (Karnataka) and leading director KV Vijayendra Prasad (Andhra) are NDA’s pick for Presidential nomination to the RS.

One name each from 4 Southern states.

If one is not mistaken, three more nominations are yet to be made

IMVHO, the first four are among the best nominations made so far in independent India. The process followed is truthful and the nominees are not habituated to lobbying or is anyone of them capable of using political means to push for inclusion of their names springing as they all do from the "dharmic" grassroots, irrespective/oblivious of religious or caste affiliations with sprinter PT Usha being particularly noteworthy.

no more fake bollywood, commie and NGO funded traitors and other banal white kurtas donning and grubby jhola flaunting, jehadi loving, taqiya pasand "atheist" schitts gumming up the works while spouting their inane gyan among the woke & fake litterati, seculariti and liberalati

So strange that my last post went poof within minutes of posting so here is attempt #2.

a. A 2-bit internet jihadi like Zubair has managed to get a priority hearing in Supreme Court, the same honorable court where over 50 million cases remain pending for decades.
b. He is being represented by Colin Gonsalves, the notorious advocate who runs a NGO by named HRLN with backing of Ford Foundation, missionary organizations among other benefactors.
c. Adv Colin Gonsalves has in the past represented naxals, islamic terrorists, he has also represented 'Green Doon' who filed a PIL against BRO constructing roads in Ladakh.
d. Both German and US embassies have commented on Zubair, this shows that alt-news wasn't a organic development in the age of fast social media but a planned entity.

Now, anyone who's spend few hours each week on twitter following Indian politics would have noticed alt-news and its founders Prateek Sinha and Zubair. Their obfuscation of facts, providing cover to leftists and jihadis, spreading fake news, instigating riots etc. wouldn't have gone unnoticed as these guys have been at the forefront of break-India forces the last few years. But yet it took the Nupur Sharma controversy for the government to finally wake up and act against Zubair. It is deeply worrying how slow, lethargic, uncreative and callous some of our state intelligence and law & order organizations are.

Secondly, given the past track record of melards, i hope the GoI has plan B to go against and dismantle alt-news. They have already mucked up the PR game by giving a perception that Zubair's biggest crime is "hurting religious sentiments" where as his actual crimes are inciting riots, conspiracy for murder, violation of FCRA, malicious disinformation among others.

Someone reminded me this morning that even in Yogi's UP, Kamlesh Tiwari's murderers , including the ones who purposefully showed themselves to CCTV cameras while committing the murders are out on bail ! In little under 2 yrs after the heinous act none of the conspirators are behind bars . What hopes can one have in such a system where murderers caught on camera walk free where as Zubair's charges are that of mere conspiracy.

a dubious foreign entity, with a foreign system of "values" system pushing for its subverted version of FOE and FOS when the Indian republic has its own constitutional guarantees and India has its own system of "values".

whose "values" are going to prevail, ours or theirs
Time to move a bill to ban Twitter and FB in Parliament and blame it on those 2 judges

Seems like a Pakjabi tradition marrying young daughters to older men … of course the comedian is minted by the state and beyond the state.

Khujli must be feeling left out. All the chavannis and jhadu power at his disposal but he has to act like a Mahatma(against his nature) while Mohtarmas are being wedded off to comedians. There is no justice in the world :rotfl:
