Good summary krithivas, you should do a few more
I found this discussion much better than the rest, purely because STEM fields force more logic to be applied than other fields and if you go subjective beyond a point you loose all professional credibility. Humanities can get away with much worse because their toxic effects show up later and over time. Heck Marx may be in fashion long after Einstein is forgotten!

Speakers rightly called out ppl who make claims like "ancient India had aerospace industry since Ram had pushpaka vimana" etc.

Warnings about herbal medicines considered safe by default and exempted from principles of Pramana - verifiability, falsifiability, and lack of patient follow up as problematic are right.

There is tons of Hindu/vedic pseudo science floating around. Hindutva vadis who indulge in pseudo-science are doing it a disservice. When Govt bodies joint in, it decredibilises all the other good work.

They are doing zoom sessions mostly from India. Even if they were abroad, on what grounds and under what Law can you ban a citizen from reentering country of citizenship? Non citizen can be denied visas, OCI/PIO can be revoked in exceptional cases.

Not sure I understood your point

Meena is a visibly nut case.

What she is saying is something marxists, wannabe marxists and naxals have been saying for ages, they always coat their identified subaltern group with another cause to justify violence against the state. In case of tribals it has been their land rights, if its farmers then land rights + guaranteed price, if its a uninhibited piece of land then play the environment card.

In all my years of trying debate with leftists ( and mostly losing the debates because one cannot make rational, reasonable arguments with them) i've realized few things ; those on the left be it in the west or be it in India take a scholarly approach to fatten their arguments. They have over 150+ years worth of research, studies, dissertations, books to rely upon. The universities, think tanks etc. serve as incubators . The "right" not only is behind by atleast 120 yrs compared to the left when it comes to intellectualizing its arguments, it is by nature reactionary and defensive because majority of the time, research, energy goes into debunking left's false narratives and propaganda.

That aside, I do wonder who are the actual audience for jhumlas like these ? In grand scheme of things these conferences hosted by washed out commies ,pseudo-intellectuals and neo-colonist western poverty-p0rn lovers are as effective as "kavi sammelans" hosted in small towns are to art.

The young and the impressionnable who want to change the world. They become successsors and perpetuate.

I'm recently seeing this on the "Hindu right" as well. These ppl overdo this Sanatana/vedic stuff is the greatest, GOAT, source of everything everywhere etc etc. I say to them, "Fantastic, you have a great heritage. As descendant of that great unparalleled heritage, which obviously gives you an unassailable advantage, what original stuff are you doing today that will be similarly remembered and held to high esteem in 100/500/1000/5000 years from now? Let's focus on that".

Indian citizens - no. Foreigners - yes. Although given the state of affairs and our bureaucracy i highly doubt if the government even knows/cares about conferences such as these. Believe it or not there is a precedence from UPA time of GoI blocking a foreign citizen/PIO from entering India, UCB's notorious hinduphobe and ISI's favorite spokesperson Angana Chatterji and her husband Richard Shapiro were denied entry at the Delhi airport and put on the next flight back to states.

The irony never dawns upon these creatures that the country and society that they so love to demonize never retaliates and yet they call it intolerant and murderous. But they'd never dare say a single thing against China or Iran or Pakistan or Saudi even from far off foreign lands let alone sit in those countries, join a webex and criticize those nations , its culture, its government and its people.

Great response.

Not to take away from the above, but now think about this a little bit. The fact that it shuts them up is itself a good sign. If one were to ask the same question to followers of a different faith, would they be embarrassed? According to them, nothing more needs to be done, all the progress has already been made, and they just have to obey and enjoy.

Is this DGH still in a university setting? If so, a discreet poll of the intended student audience might indicate what kind of effect it's having. How many are even aware that some such thing is going on? If aware, then how many are influenced in either direction? IOW, is it a freakin' fizzle (or not)?

Depends on what they define progress as.

Hindu dharma considers "self realisation" in human realm and "mukti" as the ultimate step of progress going beyond human realm.

The desert cult has a different definition of progress it is achieved when the last human converts to their faith; then Quayamat comes, world is destroyed and faithful males are lounging in jannat drinking with hoors and ghilmans to enjoy.

The cross bearing cult that preceeded it subscribes to the first part, and aims to exploit the planet and everyone on it (all material progress is for this onlee) until Doomsday comes when all will be forgiven in eternal heaven. But by that point who really cares anyway...

https://www.opindia.com/2021/09/there-i ... -hindutva/

The abominable conference, sponsored by over 60 US Universities and Departments called ‘Dismantling Global Hindutva’ was kickstarted today with the vilest comments being made by the panellists. At the very outset, there was a welcome admission of hate – Dismantling “Hindutva” is nothing but a euphemism for dismantling “Hinduism”.

A panelist said on the first day of the conference, “I take Hindutva as political Hinduism, not a distortion of an older tradition but a continuation of it.” The theme of the discussion was ‘caste and its foundational status in Hinduism’. The panelist who made the comment was apparently Meena Dhanda.

Here, the panellist admits that she does not believe Hindutva is different from Hinduism and considers the former to be the political wing of the latter. She leaves no room for doubt with regards to its interpretation after she says Hindutva is not a ‘distortion’ of an older tradition but a continuation of it. Quite clearly, the older tradition she refers to as Hinduism itself.

Another problematic statement that revealed the true intentions of the conference was made about Hindu women.

Sirji,

I am not sure we (this article too ) are repeating the same drivel they started with: 60 universities are endorsing this nonsense. I think several prominent ones publicly denied their involvement. Some of our forum members painfully attended these events but were not able to discern participation. Maybe zoom calls make it easy to "organize events" and start repeating some more of the same nonsense referring to each other... :(

Puke-worthy bilge.

Moi prediction is GoI will say nothing coz saying anything is tantamount to 'recognizing' the existence of such a con-frenz. Only.

That said, GoI may actually do something about some of the more rabid non-desi panelists. Like deny visas, revoke OCIs etc.

Why do I believe this? It's admittedly a long shot from an otherwise image and statesmanliness driven GoI....

Recall how Mahathir Mohd mouthed off on J&K post 370 abrogation. Turd prolly thought he and the g(r)and nation of malaysia will get away with it again. GoI said nothingm sure but did a lot. Blocked all palm oil imports from malay and bought Indonesian palm oil instead for the next 2 yrs. Within weeks, Malay sarkar changed stance, went from being all apoplectic to apologetic only. Numerous frenzied calls from their trade minister went unanswered.

Finally, GoI relaxed after being assured the lesson had been driven home not just in cola-lampost but in all ASEAN capitals. Only.

BTW, GoI did one better on saboteurs and riot-pasands who are indian citizens doing riot assists in India - JNU student variety turds who participated in, misinformed & propaganduized about the dilli riots of 2020, shaheen bagh type seiges etc. Radical islamists got arrested, yes. But other support orgs of useless idjits got kicked too.

For instance, radical JNU woke feminists org 'pinjra turd' or something had its entire leadership were chargesheeted, found FIR's up their nostrils, got dragged to court and pretty soon found themselves behnd bars for a year+ before Dilli HC granted bail. Doubt anyone there or their dumb followers will repeat such BS again.

Which is why BIF establishment used courts to declare that GoI was misusing 'sedition laws' into jailing yung students etc., that dissent is being pissed on and so forth. Bah. What crock. But BIF felt some heat, at least, for what was previously routine for them.

So, yes, hope is there. Perhaps. Only.

Despite much touted support from some 40 odd universities and misuse of their logos initially to garner publicity and attract speakers, there was little evidence of overt involvement of any university so far. The blowback they received might have made them go low profile on that, perhaps it was a sham claim to begin with. However, there could be under the radar academic and activist organisation support.

Of the 4 sessions I attended, except for session 6, all others had mostly low quality activist speakers lacking any methodical "understanding" of Hindutva, who were spouting bile in an echo chamber without quality scholarship for even a credible "deconstruction" much less "dismantling" of Hindutva.

Any worthy event would post the videos of such sessions on youtube etc. to reach a wider audience. They haven't seem to have done that so far. Which itself tells something. In any case, their "coming out" will only help in countering their narratives and future activism.

watch this video. It is well worth your time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBSrK6XwyvU

Rakesh Tikait के अल्लाहु अकबर नारे पे Muslim व्यक्ति.. हिंदुओं को दे गया बड़ी सीख || Muzaffarnagar

Shahid Hussain seems very clear headed and honest.

Muzaffarnagar resident Shahid Hussain drops truth bombs about ‘Hindu Muslim unity’ in viral video, know more about him and what else he said

In an interview with a news channel News Views, Hussain said, “See, Musalman will never say ‘Har Har Mahadev’. This is not new unity drama. Since Mahatma Gandhi became active in politics, he propagated Hindu-Muslim unity and sang ‘Ishwar Allah tere naam, sabko sanmati de bhagwan’. Muslim never sang this song,” he said. “So much that the country got divided. Even then Muslim never sang it. Today Tikait is doing politics in name of farmer, he has all right to do it. But as far as it is about him chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and saying ‘Har Har Mahadev’, he can do whatever but a Muslim will never say Allahu Akbar,” he said.

He further said that in India, Hindu-Muslim unity is not possible, never was and never will be. “Because they are ideologically different. Wherever Islam went, there except for Islamic law, all other rules have failed. When you speak about Akhand Bharat, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh were part of this. Whichever part was cut off, from there Har Har Mahadev was also cut off and Allahu Akbar remained. Now when another part gets cut off, Allahu Akbar will remain and Har Har Mahadev will but cut off,” he said. It must be noted that government of India brought in the Citizenship Amendment Act in 2019 to fast-track Indian citizenship of the persecuted religious minorities in these three neighbouring Islamic countries.

2013 Muzaffarnagar riots
Speaking on 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, Hussain said that the riots were not orchestrated by the BJP but the stage was set by Bharatiya Kisan Union’s Rakesh Tikait. He said that soon after Sachin and Gaurav were killed, Amir Alam and Rakesh Tikait were the first to reach there. Even subsequent announcements and rallies were also organised by Rakesh Tikait, he said.

“He is just playing all tricks in the book to win the elections. Last time he contested elections after orchestrating all this and could not get more than 5,000 votes. Yes, he has been successful in gathering people in name of farmers. Jat community is such that they gather on the name of ‘farmer cause’. They can gather crowds in name of fathers,” he said.

Muslims are latching on to farmers to escape from other cases
Hussain further said that the Muslims who had joined the farmer protests have different problems. “They have taken the refuge of Kisan Union to escape from police. Kisan Union leaders are available and BJP leaders are not easily reachable, so they (Muslims) are latching on to ‘farmer leaders’. They are doing it to escape from Police,” he said.

Muslims will never worship other gods
Shahid Hussain further said, “As per religions, everyone knows a Muslim will never chant slogans of other religions or visit worship place of people from different faith. They have never done and will never do either. Few politicians will do such drama about Hindu-Muslim unity.”

He scoffed at the ‘Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb’ and said, “What Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb? The one who spearheaded the partition of India, Liaquat Ali Khan was born in Muzaffarnagar. This is where the partition seeds were sown. Muzaffarnagar and Liaquat Ali Khan played an important role in creation of Pakistan. Everyone credits Jinnah Sa’ab, but it was Liaquat Ali Khan who played a major role in the creation of Pakistan.”

He further added that ‘Hindu Muslim Bhai Bhai’ slogan is chanted by Hindus and not Muslims. “It is an imaginary, political slogan, not reality,” he said.

Will ‘farmer protests’ hurt the BJP?
“No, it is the Jats and Muslims who’ve come together in name of ‘farmer protests’. To say whether the crowd will convert into votes it is impossible,” he said.

Will Muslim chant ‘Har Har Mahadev?”
“No, why will he say? Why would he go take bath in Ganga when he does not need to? He will bathe in the Jamuna (Yamuna). Why will be bother about Ganga? He will use the resources of India but will have to respect it, where is it written? Hindus may be holding the Ganga holy, for Muslims it is not holy,” he said.

Political activist Rakesh Tikait last week, while addressing a Mahapanchayat in Muzaffarnagar chanted ‘Allahu Akbar’ slogan from the stage. In 2013, Tikait was booked for stoking communal disharmony with his allegedly inflammatory speeches which eventually led to 2013 Muzaffarnagar flare-up. According to the residents of Muzaffarnagar, Rakesh Tikait and his brother, Naresh, had both been “primary culprits” for the gruesome communal riots.

Who is Shahid Hussain

Shahid Hussain, a Muzaffarnagar resident and has been in news over the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots cases. In 2013 he had filed a writ petition in Supreme Court. In light of a sting operation on the same carried out by India Today back in 2013, Hussain had sought an independent inquiry into the Muzaffarnagar riots.

With Uttar Pradesh state assembly elections round the corner, the political landscape in India’s most populous state is just warming up.

saar, Naxalite activities are quite strategically placed in regions where there's evidences of rare earth minerals. Now this cannot be a sheer coincidence. With pro-people government in Center, there is actually on reason for Naxalites to be angry about. If they continue to be impediment to India's progress, then they should be crushed ruthlessly.

Modi has out dravidianed the dravidians.

Good that he did it in BHU, far away from the corrosive control of the separatists

and in his own Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi

Now he needs to make sure that it is not hijacked by the commies and naxals and it remains firmly in the hands of the dharmic

Had to skip session 7 due to other commitments

(8) 11:30 – 1:10 PM EDT / 9:00 – 10:40 pm IST Hinduism and Hindutva
Opening Remarks: T. M. Krishna
Raja Bhattar | FCHS* Members | Brij Maharaj | Sunita Viswanath | Moderator: Balmurli Natrajan
*FCHS = Feminist Critical Hindu Studies Collective

TM Krishna: Carnatic musician (Super woke self loather)
Starts with long apology for his previleges and biases which no one accused him of.
Religion is a contract between compassion and violence
Hindutva is upper caste savarnas saving the others, it has always existed
Lost track of his senseless diatribe

Balamurli Natarajan (he/him)
(Mega woke self loather)

Hindutva vadis are seeking hegemony over Hinduism and Hindus
Diaspora Hindutva supporters mostly don’t care about Hinduism, or read scripture, perform rituals, meditate etc. So they don’t really support Hinduism as Hindutva vadis claim
Many hindus are suspicious of Hindutva
Some claims about Gandhi and Ambedkar’s critique of Hinduism
Hinduism does nothing against caste oppression, gender sexuality & caste privilege.
Etc etc…

Shana Sippy (she/her) & Shailaja Krishnamurthi (She/her)
*FCHS = Feminist Critical Hindu Studies Collective

We are “savarna activist scholars” of “gender critical religious studies(?!)”
Hindutva IS Hinduism. A powerful, vocal, insidious, weaponised form of Hinduism. Hindutva can’t be dismantled without dismantling Hinduism.
Hindutva associates Hinduism with Indianness.
Hindu identity is leveraged by Hindutva. Politics of belonging, inclusion & exclusion. To say one is Hindu is to say one is not something else… (!)
Hindutva is moer about emotions than politics. Instils fear that they are being threatened. Stokes fear, others threat – muslims & dalits
Want to wrest control of hindutva studies from white colonial profs to indian hindus like herself.
Yadda yadda yadda undrinkable woke soup
A pair of Woke-devis pretending to be all knowing Vaagdevis

Sunita Vishwanath (she/her) self proclaimed SJW, apologises for being an upper caste savarna hindu woman and for her previleges
Runs organisations : Sadhana & Hindus for human rights
Claims HAF attacked her & her orgs
Jai Shriram has become a murder chant. Accuses Hindutva vadis of highjacking Hinduism. She is trying a create a new vision for a “progressive Hinduism” that doesn’t demean another human being. Refers to Ambedkar. Supports notions like all are one, dharma, cites vedas etc. One confused wreck of a woman.
Opposed Howdy Modi and demonstrated against it.
She is a hindu fighting Hinduism which is irredeemable and is committed to reforming her hindu tradition & to find justice and liberation and create the right kind of hindu spaces.

Raja Bhattar (he/him/queer) comes from a family of pujaris, US based, vishishta advaita practitioner
Accuses Hindutva of queer discrimination against hindu tradition
Says Hinduism has been christianised to become a monolithic Hindutva, made him ashmed of his brahmanical superiority, but he is still tied to his traditions
Confused fellow regurgitating vague wokey stuff, couldn’t make sense of what he was saying or his wokabulary

Brij Maharaj – from South Africa – indentured diaspora perspective
Says crossing seas made these tamil, telugu, gujarati, hindi emigrants lose caste, identity, regional & religious differences
Recent years reach out of GoI to diaspora focuses on rich NRIs who send remittances and ignores indentured emigrants in Caribbean, Africa, Fiji etc.
Arrival of RSS, VHP etc in the 90s – they are wary these orgs will bring caste and religious polarization among the indentured indian emigrants (mostly hindus some muslims) settled there. Hindutva not very popular there due to distance & disconnection over time. Hindutva seen as a foreign concept.
NRIs are trying to recreate Hindusim as its exists in India in the US now by supporting Hindutva

Regarding the appointment of Bhupendrabhai Patel as CM of Gujarat:

* Don't be misled by media narrative of "newcomer" and "first time MP" - he is long timer BJP and RSS sevak
* Long track record of local governance in Ahmedabad municipalty
* Excellent track record of community service in the Patel community (known affectionately as Dada - grandpa in Gujarati)
* Protege of ex-heavy hitter Anandiben Patel, but without any taint of corruption
* if he is not well known, that is only because of the depth of the BJP leadership in Gujarat

Why him? Unanimous choice as a compromise candidate, but there is a major point being made: factionalism will not be rewarded. Obviously chosen because he is part of the Patel community, but has necessary qualities of being good at what he does, being clean, and being able to work well with all sections of the party. Hopefully he will be a surprise in more ways than one.

Grand/Father - Parsi
GrandMother - Hindu
Mother - Christian

And he is claiming to be a janeudhari kashmiri pandit, a Hindu brahmin of the dattatreya gotra.

Gotra comes from the father. A convert to Hinduism has no gotra

and what then is his sibling claiming to be

is logic dead or does he think that we are all so gullible

Goody goody. Now don't you want your brethren and sestren (or whatever the word is - "cisterns" doesn't sound right somehow) to have the same happy at-home feeling? So they can count on your support to return to their homeland, right? Please also let us know your travails about how you had to get out of the valley overnight, while also complying with the demand to leave your mom and sister behind. It will be good for the general historical record and all.

A "compromise candidate", that's how I see him as well. Depending on the outcome of 2022 elections I hope he will stay at the helm for a full term. I thought Vijay Rupani was doing a good job so its a shame to see him resign before his term. Btw, how old is Bhupendra Patel ? The records say he is 59 yrs of age but he looks atleast 15 yrs older than that ! For a while it was said Mansukh mandaviya could be the next CM, and given that he is just 49 he would have probably been a good choice as well.

Thank you Cyrano. Was trying to match your diligence! :)

More notes, Though I missed the first speaker Manan Ahmed, Anjali Arondekar, Demetrius Eudell, and Deepa Kumar.

Summary: The speakers in the track were far-left/extremist/communist; and the constant theme was Hindutva against Muslims and Dalits even if the context did not demand it.

Prof. Deepak Kumar (Rutgers University, Hardcore Communist), Called Audrey as her colleague
Ø Deep gratitude to organizers against intense bullying. Some self-congratulatory notes
Ø Called out Al-Jazeera and Guardian as supporting their conference.
Ø Claimed they used this opportunity to educate the University Administrators and Senators [KR: riot act probably]
Ø Confessed that she was NOT an expert on Hindutva
Ø Recent experience of censorship in India, White supremacists and Hindutva
Ø Invited for a TedX on Islamaphobia at Manipal University
○ Discussing Islamaphobia without reference to BJP etc.
○ Vice chancellor cancelled the talk;
○ Met INSAAF India and will be hosting a talk as part of "Missing Talks"
○ Blamed Hindu right for everything.
Ø White/Hindu/Zionism supremacy
○ They are all movements that share tactics, strategies and rhetoric;
○ Strategy
i. Called out Zionists that silence dissenters
ii. White supremacy has joined the Zionists to build fear and paranoia against dissenters
a. Racism
i. Hindutva targeted various enemies with knives out on Muslims and Dalits?
ii. Israel did not have Islamophobia, Hamas received support from Israel to counter PLO
iii. Israel developed a framework called Terrorcraft
iv. Laws from India drawn from US Patriot Law
b. Love Jihad, Europe supremacists call Muslims as Predators
c. White, Zionist and Hindutva women are encouraging Patriarchalism

Prof. Dimitrius Eudell (Non-Indian speaker, Too much theoretical stuff)
○ Acknowledge the land of indigenous people (CT); Apologizing for slavery;
○ Indigenous people of India that Ambedkar spoke-down are continuing their struggle. Policing, Low quality of health care etc.
○ Blacks are being displaced for highway project. Neo liberal trans-national capitalism.
○ Went to Dakota pipeline did not acknowledge the rights of natives/land owners.
○ White supremacy …… enslavement (too much theoretical stuff)
○ Race replaced religion as the basis for enslavement
○ Covid issue - Proclaim equality and follow science, but developed nations do neither.

Prof. Anjali Arondekar (Strongly Ideological, Self-identified as Queer, Rambled a lot of theoretical stuff)
Ø Queer Azadi - Maharashtra jailed participants of queer rally
Ø Kagaz Nahi Dikhayenge - Violent and punitive.
Ø Segregation of caste and sexuality, Exclusionary judicial systems.
Ø Embracing Ambedkar, Sidelining Gandhi
Ø Dragged in Aadhar card, "We did not have the right papers and my brother died", from an acquaintance.
Ø Dalit Queer supporting Kisan Andolan; What do you want? And said, WE are tired of speeches and reform and unity, we want revolution, revolution, revolution! Jai Bhim and Andolan

(9) 1:30 – 3:00 PM EDT / 11:00 – 12:30 am IST: Islamophobia, White Supremacy, and Hindutva
Anjali Arondekar | Demetrius Eudell | Deepa Kumar | Moderator: Manan Ahmed

These are the real worthies behind this event, that’s why they are coming last.

Manan Ahmed : from Columbia univ
straightway plays islamophobia card and rambles. Desperately wants to paint Hindutva as equal to white supremacy and islamophobic. He is a Paki from Lahore – this guy is surely the main brain behind this event, probably ISI funded.

Anupama Rao : from Columbia univ
Fringe has become center ruling party plays on both ends.
Historic hurt, millennial injury – ressentiment
Compares Hindutva & white supremacy & islamophobia
Blames it for every evil under the sun.
Some historic postulates on race, religion and on Tilak, Savarkar, Ambedkar etc…
(And goes on and on about caste & brahminism as social power.
Was perhaps reading out a class lecture – whats the point?
She went totally off track …
(Tells me that caste privilege is being able to use caste drivel to earn a comfy living at a prestigious US university like Columbia)

Anjali Arondekar : (UC Santa Cruz) : Andolan – sexuality, caste and protest
Says andolans like shaheen bagh, Kashmir, trans bahujan muslim dalits etc have been suppressed….
Queer trans intello highbrow british accent tinted word soup follows
She is actually funny
Apparently she protested against CAA in Bombay. Bats for kaagaz nahin dikhayengey.
Seems to want india to boil over with andolans. Perfect mentally colonialized andolan-jeevi !

Deepa Kumar (Rutgers)
Buddy of Audrey Trushkee

Her lecture at Manipal on islamophobia was cancelled
She will webcast it next week with the halp of Insaf India as - “the missing lectures”
I think she is one of the brains behind this event, to seek revenge for her Manipal cancellation. Basically she says she is fighting against Hindutva’s islamophobia. Equates with Zionism, white supremacy etc.
Seems to believe saying the same thing over and over again makes it a truth. That’s a lesson well learned from Goebbels
She will incorporate the work of all the various conferenciers into her own future work. Basically open stated license to plagiarism.

Demetreus Eudell. (Wesleyan univ, CT)
Lefty discourse on afro American colonialism, race etc going all over… clueless about India, hinduism and everything else. Not relevant to this event’s title, he didn’t seem to care.
Whats he doing here? May be black tokenism by organisers.

Manan Ahmed Asif: once more goads panelists to paint Hindutva as equal to white supremacy and islamophobic. This guy is a dangerous insidious anti-Indian snake. RAW must put this guy on watch, he’ll lead to a lot more crooks.
Said his students & researchers put together the organization for the event. So now we know clearly.

Meena Dhanda & Jyotsna Kapur (southern Illinois univ) : closing thank you note for the event
--- END ---

Will post my overall observations and conclusions in a day or two.

That's counterproductive. The White supremacist, Islamophobes are all (sympathetic) ears.

Actually at this point Manan & others got into women's plight in Afghanistan to bash Hindutva. That was a mind bending singularity moment. Thank gods this event ended ! Man you have to be really insane or psychopathic to peddle this stuff day in an day out.

I was only able to cover the two sessions, and comparing our notes they are in full alignment. Credits to you to have motivated me to listen in.

One observation, preponderance of DGH presenters were Indian origin women. In most Indian families, my observation is that women are the torchbearers to carry forward traditions including religious practices. Most of the DGH presenters complained about patriarchy; It seems to me as though their personal experiences made them rebel against their heritage and slowly with the right influence that morphed into hatred. I have the same theory of Madam Wendy D, her frequent usage of crass sexual imagery to represent Hindu Deities may have been the result of childhood abuse somehow re-channeled against Hindu belief system.

The above are just my opinion and taking the liberty to share.

If you come with some such complicated thought you will never find a solution, the simple reason is money, these people are fed through Foreign "NGO" related to foreign governments to propagate a foreign agenda. Till you accept this simple fact you will keep going round in circles.

the BJP has just rebalanced the caste arithmetic.

Elections are due and the new guy needs to settle down and hit his stride in the run up to the next elections.
Patel is a member of the Kadva Patidar community, a sub-caste of the Patidar community mainly found in north Gujarat and Saurashtra region. The Patidar community is considered key to electoral success in Gujarat, where it is a dominant caste with a sizeable control over the economy, especially in the cooperative sector, real estate, education and construction.

The community is said to form the backbone of the BJP in Gujarat. The party’s first chief minister in 1995, Keshubhai Patel, was a Patidar leader from the Saurashtra region.

Bhupendra Patel’s proximity with the Gujarat business fraternity also worked in his favour, sources said. Though the party said that Patel’s name was unanimously approved at Sunday’s state legislative party meeting held in Gandhinagar that was chaired by party’s national observers – Union Ministers Pralhad Patel and Narendra Singh Tomar, he is a choice of Delhi leadership, according to sources.

Why did this necessity for a Patidar leader not work when Modi was CM? Or when ABV sent him to take over the govt? What's changed now?

After days of enduring DGH's assault on my senses and sanity, this was a wonderful way to get back to equilibrium.

I have the kindle version of J Said Deepak's book "India that is Bharat - Coloniality, Civilisation and Consciousness", I'm 80% through it. A very educative, enlightening and stimulating read. I might read it a few times over to really get what JSD lays out with so much detail and precision.

I can only describe the experience of reading, understanding and digesting this book as a "sagara manthan" of the spirit, out of which some ingrained haalahal will surely be extracted out leaving you to enjoy the Amrit of Bharatiyata.

Yes, it certainly is a heavy read!

I am eagerly waiting for the next - in which he promises and hopefully will lay out in as much detail as he has in this- what all exactly needs to change in our current constitution for Bharat to graduate from being a nation-state to being a civilizational state

LONG Thread. Worth reading:

A perfectly worded statement by our EA Minister @DrSJaishankar during his speech in USA.

What a man! What a choice to deliver a Resurgent India's Message on Foreign Soil!

Its called 'GIVING IT RIGHT BACK'
Read on

During his Visit to the US last week, our Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar Participated with General McMaster, in a Virtual Discussion, conducted by the Hoover Institution ..!!

He was Questioned on India's Handling of the Pandemic ..!!

In response, He stated ...

He stated "We are Giving FREE FOOD to as many as 800 Million People!!
We have put Money into Bank Accounts of 400 Million!!"

To Underline his Statement & contextualise it, India was Providing Food to Two & a Half Times US Population & Funding More than its Population!!

How many Nations are Able to Sustain such Expenditure, through these Trying Times and Receding Economies?

On the Global Projection of a Failing Indian Government,
Dr Jaishankar added ....

"I See this, much, as part of a Political Effort, to Depict Our Current Govt, in a certain way & obviously I Profoundly Differ with that!"
In recent times, Global Image of India, has been of Funeral Pyres, Depicting a Nation Failing in its Battle against the Pandemic ..!!

The World has Witnessed Multiple Waves of the Pandemic ..!!*

*Casualties have been Higher in %ages in Countries, Possessing Smaller Populations, in Numbers and/or Density, than India, incl US, European Nations, Brazil etc.

In NO case ...

In no case, were the Deceased so Disrespectfully Depicted as in Our Case !! The Reality in the US was that, Covid Casualties were Buried in Mass Graves, Employing Mech Means, & without Permitting the NoK to pay their Last Respects or be Present ..!!

Human Touch to those, who Lost the Battle against Covid, was Missing ..!!

There were also Reports of Covid Casualties Lying in Refrigerated Vans, for a Long Time in New York, Awaiting Mass Burials. Photos in US & Western Media, showed People Laying Flowers in an Open Fields!

in Remembrance of their loved ones!! In Italy, Situation was so Depressing that, the Army was called in, to take over Casualties & Hurriedly Cremate them, away from Cities. Most Western Nations, currently Critical of India, adopted Similar Measures.

Indians, on the other hand, Cremated their Dead with Dignity and as per Religious Ethos, despite shortcomings & a Spreading Virus!

It was this Display of Religious Reverence, in which, the Media Displayed to MISDEPICT a Failing Nation ..!!

Victory against Covid is not Determined Solely by the Number of Casualties (Dead or Infected ..), but, by Protecting the Majority of the Population, as also Catering for their Essential Needs, during periods of Enforced Lockdowns ..!!

Number of Casualties are Dependent on the Population and Density within a Nation; while they matter, they cannot be Ultimate Determinants ..!! Success should Logically Depend on Reversing the Covid Cycle, with Minimum Inconvenience and Suffering to the Populace ..!!

The fact, that India being the World's Second Most Populated Nation, was Bound to have Higher Casualties was Ignored ..!!
There is no doubt the Current Government Erred when it went ahead with Elections, Religious Events and Protests, Adding to the Spread ..!!

BUT ...

But, why was India Singled Out Globally ..?? There could be Multiple Reasons, including Internal Political One-Up-Manship & Anti-Govt Groups Grabbing an Opportunity ..!! India's National Power has Risen in Recent Years ..!!

It is Immune to Global Commentators, who Felt they could Compel Third World Countries, to Behave as per their Whims and Fancies ..!!*

India's Refusal to Change Decisions, whether on Kashmir or Citizenship Amendment Act, despite Criticism from so-called Global Watchdogs or

or Senators or Members of Parliament of the Western World, Hurt Privately Funded Influential Organizations, many of whom Control Media Houses ..!! These were at the Forefront, in Tarnishing the National Image ..!!

Another Plausible reason is Jealousy of the Western World in Witnessing an Asian Nation, becoming a Global Economic Giant, Overtaking Most of their Economies as also Successfully Countering the First Wave ..!!*

India, till recently considered a Third World Country, is a Rising Economic Power, where Western Leaders Rush to Sign Trade Deals ..!! Grabbing a part of the Growing Indian Market, is a Pre-Requisite for Economic Development for any Western Country ..!!

This Reversal in Fortunes has Hurt Many Influential Organizations in the West ..!! Western Nations Selfishly Ignored Third World Countries and HOARDED all Vaccines and Medical Equipments, which they could Garner for their Own Populace, Storing Far More than Necessary ..!!

It was India, which reached out and supported Weaker Nations! Indian Vaccine Diplomacy Earned it Global Praise, while West was branded Selfish!

Globally, Indian Generosity was Praised, while it Reflected Adversely on the Ethos & Responsibility of the Developed World ..!!

India was no Longer a Nation, which could be Ignored, and this Irked So-Called Global Watchdogs and Influencers ..!! Politics, within India, Aided by Some Media Personalities, also played a role in Globally Maligning the Country.

Our own opposition ...

Our own Opposition in its bid to Target the Current Government, ended up Tarnishing the National Image ..!! The Pandemic was Exploited as a Political Tool, for Influencing Public Opinion, as India remains Perpetually in an Election Mode .!!

*Claims of False Reporting, Gained Prominence! Govts are Temporary & Change, Depending on Will of the People in elections, But Nation is Permt! Those, who Exploited the Pandemic to Hit Out at the Govt, have Harmed National Image, rather than an Indl or a Political Party.

In the Long Term, India will Win the Battle Against the Pandemic and will Rise Again ..!! It will continue Supporting the Globe in the Fight against the Pandemic ..!! However, what will take time is Changing the Adverse Image of the Nation ..!!"

There was an Eerie Silence for a few Lingering Moments, followed by a Huge Round of Applause, for more than a Minute !!

@sjaishankar is a Gutsy, No Nonsense, always armed with facts, Articulate, Diplomat, who can Hold his Audience attn, with his Splendid Articulation!

Additionally, the primacy of the aapis in a critical and strategic border state like punjab has serious NATSEC issues and implications.

After all, these guys are proven corrupt, and undoubtedly BIF originated with the aim of capturing political power and aid anti India forces.
