12 MPs were suspended for the entire winter session where 36 bills are expected to be passed.

It looks like the BJP baited the trap, and the opposition blindly blundered into it.

maybe dakait will call another tractor hartal

The opposition came to the well of the House demanding a debate on the bill and raised slogans and banners. Speaker Om Birla said he was ready to allow discussion on the bill provided the protesting MPs go back to their seats and there is order in the House. However, the opposition did not pay heed to the Speaker’s appeal and continued their protests.

Jack was an absentee CEO. He is too much into Square and Crypto to care about this cesspool.
It's never been a viable business and never made any substantial profit. Smart move by Jack!

jack was eased out.

there were attempts to replace him earlier too.

they finally succeeded

jack also serves as CEO of payment company Square — and some investors, including hedge fund Elliott Management, had wanted Dorsey to exit as chief executive of Twitter so the social media company could have a CEO fully focused on Twitter.

jack will remain a member of Twitter’s board until his term expires around may of 2022

Minor Victory For Mallya In London Court, Congress Leaders Face Embarrasment
Minor Victory for Mallya in London Court, Congress leaders face embarrasment

Hearing the Mallya case on Friday, Justice Emma Arbaughnott stated in clear terms that, " Indian banks had grossly violated their own rules and regulations in lending to Mallya's airline company Kingfisher.

This can be seen 'with closed eyes' she stated. The above remarks were with reference to the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Chidambaram ordering the loan to Mallya, despite the bank's objection. On Friday, Judge Emma Arbhannot of the Westminster Magistrate Court of London has openly exposed the malpractices and corruption committed by Indian banks in giving loans to Vijay Mallya. "Does any bank officer have the right to reject the order given by the Prime Minister and Finance Minister of the country by writing a letter."

Therefore, Judge Emma Arbhannot of the Westminster Magistrate Court of London has made it very clear on Friday that why the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram were not responsible for that robbery more than Vijay Mallya who had robbed thousands of crores of banks from India.

Many local Indians observed that Rahul Gandhi should be ashamed after the comment of that London court and the country should answer why the corrupt pair of Congress Prime Minister, Finance Minister writing a letter recommending loan to Vijay Mallya, blacklisted by banks.

The astonishing fact is that the news of the London court judge's statement is missing like a horn from a donkey's head, from news channels arguing for hours on any street leader's statement as disputed.

He was brought in to rescue Twitter from oblivion. To a large extent, that has succeeded in that the MAU has doubled in the time Jack has been CEO. It's fair to say that Twitter has been rescued now that the stock price has traded above IPO price for some months.

Twitter ex-CEO Jack Dorsey has put in this 37-year old woke CTO for back door entry (pun unintended) into CEO position.

The incoming CTO/CEO Parag's 2010 tweet on muslims-extremists, whites and racists has been noted by House Judiciary committee already.

For an incoming CEO walking right into cross-hairs of house committees will put enormous pressure. To say all whites as racist is being both anti-white and being racist. Ordinary folks can have such positions (if muslims are equated with extremists then whites are to be equated with racists), for an incoming CEO such a position is untenable.

https://www.inputmag.com/culture/right- ... anti-white

That idiot Parag was a nobody. Twitter could have cleaned his TL before announcing him as CEO. But they did not and Parag was furiously caught deleting his offending tweet. Note that Parag made that tweet in 2010, when he was a 25 year old. Of course, youngistanis make such stupid assertions. Out of college, into high paying jobs and take some ultra-woke positions. Untenable again for a CEO. Of a fortune 500 company.

So all in all, why would Jack Dorsey step down (stock goes up, so street is happy) and puts in this idiot who has no clue on running a company and tripwires him the next instant. In a nutshell, Jack is giving a finger to the board members who are asking him to step down. And this idiot is Jack's ace in the hole (or joker in the pack) for back door entry (pun unintended).

Twitter is fading fast, so yes, the most likely explanation is that this guy is Jack's Rabri Devi. However, I find it interesting that the new CEO last year published something saying the US First Amendment does not dictate what Twitter does. So that makes me wonder if a course correction isn't under way. Balanced of course by the very real possibility that this new CEO was running the show all along for the past year or so with Jack being an absentee CEO.

Jack Dorsey runs a real company (no not Twitter), a payment company, called Square. He was the CEO of both companies for a long time. Square is a real corporation, while Twitter allows anonymous people to unload their personal agenda views on others. Who knows who is really behind setting the algos behind Tweeter, dept. of truth might as well be running it on a day to day basis.

The person behind Twitter's policies and policing is a woman of Indian origin by name Vijaya Gadde, some lefty rag (Time or NYT) had written a glossy review about her last year when Twitter banned the incumbent US President from its platform and called her the brains behind Twitter's assault on conservatives.

It does makes one wonder what is in our society and our education system that we seem to produce so many wokes.

Probably because our education system(and society) doesn't teaches anything good about Hindus. It's all about the glorification of Mughals, the "Martial race" and how cool Bolsheviks or french revolution were. Creates some kids with zero self-respect.

Have met quite a few guys in their 1st years, recentlly immigrated, and being extremely racist to themselves on their own, just straight out of the blue. It gets so pathetic and cringy that a lot of times white people themselves have to make them stop. Get made fun of by every other nationality all through university and the self-hate just gets worse and worse.

True, I've even met Indians and PIOs who grew up in India, who have never even heard of Vijayanagar, let alone some of the older kingdoms like the Rashtrakutas, Palas and Pratiharas etc. There are , to this day, Indians who cannot name most, if any, of the southern states, or the Northeastern states. Their familiarity with Indian literature is miniscule or less. It's good and right to be balanced about India, and aware of all the blights and deficiencies, while also seeing its strengths. And there are times, where being balanced is not necessary( within reason) like when India successfully launches a Mars mission, or places 104 satellites into orbit. You can be profuse in your praise for these achievements. No need whatsoever to bring up poverty or 'India has other priorities', like a few Indians did publicly on the BBC et al during the Mars and moon missions. A large number of otherwise intelligent Indians, could use a heavy dosage of EQ. ( emotional intelligence and relatedly, spiritual development)

been working on this for a while - why are many folks from India such "wokes" or "anti hindus".
I come from a the much maligned "brahmin" community from hinterland of AP (now Telangana). all cousins/extended family from here turned into ultra left wingers - this despite actuallybeing surrounded by the family elders who are constantly in rituals/puja/ stories of mahabharatha/ramayana.

all of the folks who turned out to be "wokes" went to REC warangal or Kakaktiya university.

thats the only common connection I found so far.

It's an expression of one's own self-loathing and the need to associate with the new host society in the best manner possible. Most of these people start their US innings at the university, which is woke by default. So these self-loathing Indians who can't think for themselves anyway, just catch the prevailing woke winds to gain acceptance, especially among the white students.

100%. And THIS is the real problem with Wokeism.

Earlier there would always be (in any reasonably open society) some % of malcontents, contrarians, and idiots who would insist on projecting their self-loathing onto their culture, heritage, and nation. What institutionalized Wokeism has done is make this disease extend to encompass everyone who was formerly neutral, apolitical, "spiritual but not religious" etc.

It works like this: that big "neutral majority" tends to stay silent precisely because they are conflict-averse. They don't want to argue, spoil relationships, etc. so they would rather remain quiet on any potentially controversial subject that comes up.

What Wokeism achieves is to shift the conversation in such a way that even innocuously positive things, which used to be considered harmless before, are now things that you will be attacked and shamed for saying (e.g. Jai Hind, Ram Ram). The neutrals simply back down further and exclude all of this from their vocabulary because their primary motivation is to avoid any unpleasantness.

But of course it doesn't stop there. Wokeism pushes its envelope further and further with every turn. Attack Holi one year, Diwali the following year, Kumbh Mela the next. At some point this great, neutral majority has been held hostage for so long that some of them (especially the younger and more impressionable ones) start to gravitate towards adopting the Woke point of view in active, rather than passive ways. Stockholm Syndrome takes effect on a mass scale.

Net result, anyone who isn't "based" enough to realize that civilizational issues are worth an all-out, existential fight is either cowed into silence in the face of the Woke brigade's aggression, or feels compelled to echo its views just so that they are left alone.

That's why I actually try to treat the silent majority with sympathy-- exasperating as it can be. There is an impulsive tendency on the part of the Low-IQ "RW" to immediately attack anyone who isn't loudly championing the Hindutva perspective as "Jaichand", "Dhimmi", "HINO" etc. This is colossally stupid and counterproductive, not only because it further alienates the vast bulk of Hindus (whose participation is indispensable for any sort of mass movement), but also because it reinforces the Woke propaganda against the Hindutva side by showing that we are exactly as obnoxious, intolerant, and dictatorial as they claim.

We will continue to lose ground for as long as this happens.

But sir this works both ways. If you don't hammer out your woke credentials by criticizing Jews, Hindus, whites etc you are automatically labelled as being complicit in patriarchy, genocide, nationalism (or whatever the monthy buzz word is).

Wokeness/stupidity wins because people usually don't want to deal with loud idiots, as we also saw during the recent "farmer" protests. Weren't people also complaining here that why we didn't see any counter protests?

And imo this is great. Let there be no "dhobi ka kutta" like India was during with the NAM.

IMHO, there are multiple factors at play here:

(1) I don't know if people are inherently born liberal or conservative, but some kids are risk-averse whereas some kids are risk-takers by nature

(2) Usually people that have/learn to share resources, or those who get the 'danda' at some impressionable age (i.e. under 35-40) seem to be more conservative, whereas people whose luck and karma has enabled them to be happy-go-lucky are less aware of life's realities and turn (genuinely) liberal or woke

(3) Conservative examples include people in joint families, close knit nuclear families, people whose parents don't have much money and have to make the effort to succeed, people with average IQ and connections in life, or those with bad experiences that force them to look beyond science & society i.e. to God and Spirituality

(4) Liberal/Woke examples include people in nuclear families with more money than time, children of rich and/or well connected parents, people of above average IQ, and generally those who have never had bad experiences such as loss of parent, loss of spouse/children, loss of income, loss of home and livelihood, Basically people who feel they don't need God and/or Spirituality

(5) One key attribute of the woke crowd is their inherent sense of superiority over others. If your IQ enables you to be in the JEE top 100, to get the green card / US citizenship on an EB1 application, and you are confident in your ability to top exams without studying and/or launch startups and make millions with a high probability of success, you automatically feel entitled to lord it over the other folk who aren't so capable - after all you're better than them. This entitlement basically drives the wokeism of small-time achievers and "intellectuals". The thought process basically is "I think issue XXX is important; of course I'm right because I'm so smart; how come these idiots don't see what I see". These folks simply haven't seen the problems in life that the millions out there face on a daily basis. Twitter Agarwal probably belongs to this list

(6) Wokes/Liberals will never support Hindus in trouble in Bangladesh - it's not so glamorous as "Climate Change" or "LGBTQ**" or "Her Hijab Her Right" or other issues that people of their socioeconomic strata ever associate with. Its really easy to turn your head away from the real problems and focus on the more glamorous problems. I see a lot of these in my extended family...people who've never really had to see a Hindu-Muslim riot, or had to turn to God for help

This is a big topic, intersecting politics, anthropology, and history. There are other threads for it.

If we really want to understand what is happening here, instant simplistic analyses won’t cut it.

We can say, “woke”, “self-hatred” and “slave mentality “ but those are only pejorative labels we are putting on something we don’t understand or maybe vaguely understand. And not really giving an explanation that would be useful in reversing this multi-generational trend. (Ok self-hatred, ok slave mentality, but why are those things present? Where did they come from?) When we apply such negative labels, we are unwittingly adding those qualities to the things others are already saying about us: irrational, casteist, dirty, etc. Self-goal if you ask me. No one makes a conscious decision to hate himself or become a mental slave.

Most of us are not educated in the social sciences or in their methodologies, barring exceptions like shiv who educated himself enough to be able to critique the prevailing orthodoxies in those fields when it comes to India.

Pressure to prioritize livelihood-providing STEM skills, poor rhetorical & critical thinking skills, valorizing symbols and mores of the class and lifestyle to which we aspire, unfamiliarity with things like semiotics and psychology, and a number of other factors, all play a part.

There are probably ways to attack each of these things and roll them back, but they all require swimming against the tide and are costly.

Interesting you say this. One of my friends, a long resident of the US, had a "woke streak" long before it was a word while he was in India. He has gone totally woke now. Tells me that I have very low EQ because I think Rumi is no big deal when it comes to philosophy.

The rub for all these folks, they are UC, is that they feel "guilty" as they equate their "UC privilege" (which is in actuality upper-middle-class city-bred privilege) with white privilege. None of them had to go hungry even for an hour.
