And this : incoherent judgement, incomprehensible writing.
And yet the Collegium survives!!
Too much political the judges are.
Better if they an IAS type entrance exam to assess their essay writing and judicial acumen
Otherwise this to and fro to continue

Better if they an IAS type entrance exam to assess their essay writing and judicial acumen,
From the article
"A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna, which set aside an order of Himachal Pradesh High Court on the ground that it was incomprehensible, said that

"the purpose of judicial writing is not to confuse or confound the reader behind the veneer of complex language"

"The expression of a judge is an unfolding of the recesses of the mind. However, while recesses of the mind may be inscrutable, the reasoning in judgement cannot be. While judges may have their own style of judgement writing, they must ensure lucidity in writing across these styles
"

"It speaks to those in society who are impacted by the discourse. In the layered formulation of analysis, a judgement speaks to the present and the future. Whether or not the writer of a judgement envisions it, the written product remains for the future, representing another incremental step in societal dialogue"

The irony is they are talking about incomprehensible verdicts by using esoteric and complex words in sentences themselves.
I say instead of IAS type entrance exam they should first filter the applicants by reading their 100,000 word PhD theses and then the exam would be to write 2-3 100,000 word essays.

here is the link to the 19 page judgement

As usual they have quoted from a speech by Lord Burrows of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom who then quotes a Lord Bingham. There is also a reference to academic writing of Justice Daphne Barak-Erez of the Supreme Court of Israel and then from a lecture by Lord Neuberger, the former President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom; also from a lecture by Justice M.M. Corbett, Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Africa; and then Justice Michael Kirby, a distinguished former judge of the High Court of Australia

Watch to the end.

Akheer wich, aa Sikh ton reya naie gaya, 'aseen ve raj kitaa si'. Too bad the interview was edited.

Why does every naya deen have this thing to rule Hindostan, failure of which aim will lead to their own religion being compromised? I don't believe they really think their own religions are so shallow.

Or am I missing the intent of this speaker?

I know someone who is from Peshawar, from the time when there was a substantial Hindu population. He tells me he never ever heard the war cry Raj Karega Khalsa when growing up there.

This is a violation of minority rights. It is good that India permits such ardour, as well as public pronouncements of sar tan de juda.

If nothing else it is instructive for the meek Hindu. Keeps him in his place.

This is where I absolutely loved the bitch-slap that VP Venkaiah Naidu had given to that AAP MP who quoted some BS report from some Scandie pricks (towards 2:27 mark)

Someone in public space will have to give that sort of candid comments about where they can place those references from foreign institutions and personalities.

He was given Padma Bushan this year. Must have been useful in some way. I wouldn't think too much of it if he joins BJP. He would be the biggest muslim leader ever to join BJP? Or perhaps start his own party and forms an alliance with BJP.

Politics is a young man's game. Azad or any member of the so called G23, longer has the energy or the imagination to be an active political leader.

His lack of imagination also makes him unfit to be a mentor for new generation of non congress political leaders.

Sharad Pawar and Biju Patnaik are also in pretty much the same place.

Mamta has the energy of a street fighter but lacks the imagination and finesse to accomplish anything substantial.

AK, is a cunning operator. The way he made an event of the nothing burger raid on Sisodia. Shows that he is picking up a fight with Modi. Modi cannot be seen responding to him openly. That gives AK a perception of winning by default.

Unless AK is completely destroyed, he is going to a pole that the Anti Modi vote will coalesce arround. With his politics it's going to be too damaging.

Some times I get a feeling that BIF (outside the country) has lost hopes on Shri. Pappu Ghandi & Co. And that they are now relying heavily on Kejriwal and AAP to s-crew up India. Main stream media on cue have also started tom-tomming Kejriwal's victories (!?). Think about it; Kejriwal says BJP approaches his MLAs with 20 crore each. No evidence, no proof; but main stream media gives it a coverage as it is a true event. Only thing which I liked is that common people are able to call Kejriwal's bluff in such stories. But what is more dangerous is the freebie culture which this person is peddling. Freebie culture is going to make every one lazy, have a sense of entitlement and also have poor self esteem. It may be only in the last 10-20 years that the Indian society in general is trying to change this behaviour. But Kejriwal wants to bring this back.
Unless AK is completely destroyed, he is going to a pole that the Anti Modi vote will coalesce arround. With his politics it's going to be too damaging.
We may need to analyse the profile of the people who are generally pro-AAP. Because I still get a feeling that AAP is still to get a pan-India presence and have credible leaders across India. We must also remember that when it comes to Lok Sabha elections Kejri's novice candidates will have to fight with more experienced/seasoned politicians from other parties who are more established. My sample size of AAP-tards are limited. One; was IT-Vity chap who returned to India after a long stint in Europe and had a very idealestic view on Indian politics. Two; another IT-Vity chap who returned to India after a long stint in US. Both had commie leanings in college and today have turned towards AAP mainly because they cannot defend the politics of the communist parties in India. Now with a better life style; they really cannot take out the I am poor, marginalised worker crap as well. And both have a feeling that IIT trained people some how can solve India's problems. Both also seems to be not connected to the local administration or political outfits.

Supreme Court notice to Karnataka over High Court's Hijab ban order
"You have been repeatedly asking for urgent hearing but now are seeking adjournments. This kind of forum shopping can't be permitted," the bench told the counsel.
A batch of 24 separate petitions filed by individuals as well as several NGOs like All India Democratic Women's Association, Women's Voice, Forum for Secular Theo-Democracy, Muslim Girls and Women's Movement, Muslim Women's Study Circle were listed

I learnt a new word today. Secular Theo-Democracy 8).

Yes... There are 2 Idgah maidan... One in hubli and one in blore. Both are illegally occupied by peaceful people. They have no papers but they pray every year so they claim.

SC stoped the pooja at Chamrajpet (blore) but HC gave green signal at hubli...

When nota anandranganathan says "welcome to islamic republic of india", it is very true. Our temples are captured by government and we need to beg for a place to do our pooja.

Let me give you another example. In mysore there is a famous temple "Sri Chamundeshwari Temple". The minimum collection of the temple is 3.5 cr per month in 2021 one of the road collapsed due to rain. As this road was not taken by tourists and used by only locals, this road has not been repaired till date..

For the one in Bangalore, do the peacefool community have land records which show they have possession for the entire grounds? Or is it only for a small portion within the ground where there is some religious structure? And this time the seculars lost in Hubli, but I am sure next year seculars and Kapil Sibal would be in Supreme Court before time to settle that matter as well.
