Ambar, MB will be hidden face and revealed after all the dust is settled.
NCP is walking zombies
^^ the main question is will the others let MB or PK even pose as PM candidate? There is also wannabe MMS in congress, AK in Delhi, DMK guys in TN, Kerala commies, YSR JMR in andhra, NCP in Maha, and if Bua Bhatija gets decent seats, they too in UP, 9th fail son of RJD in bihar. And lastly there is pappu, his sister and their eyetalian Mata. The PM candidate pool for BIF is a lot crowded and if someone else rises up, the others will pull him/her down.

If INC has more seats than the third front combined then there's no ways they'll sit outside and let MB or PK or some other dud be the PM. However if INC has less seats than the 3rd front it is possible they'll support an acceptable candidate initially but will pull the rug underneath as they always do after a couple of years. Many of the 3rd front parties including TMC are family enterprises , and most if not all of them are regional satraps so an agreeable candidate before the elections from any of those parties is unlikely. This is why i feel Madhu Kishwar's thoughts about PK projecting himself as the 3rd front PM candidate is possible.

Sangh has sighed a big relief.

VHP has issued a statement to bring up budding leaders from the grass-root level. Within a month state BJP will undergo
a good amount of changes. As per TV news,Nishit Pramanik will get a central post among other changes.
the mukul roy story may not be over just yet.

there are rumors of the BJP splitting to avoid the anti defection law and its application

There are higher BIF forces at play here, especially, given the political stakes, and the fact that they have tasted blood

Time to whisk them out to UP. Resort politics should start at the earliest.

some may move immediately, some may stay on quietly as sleeper cells and move much later.

Time alone will tell.

I am little away from WB politics.

Bjp being 2nd largest party and main opposition.
It won 77 seats.

It won less than 10 seats thru TMC turncoats. Majority of them did contest in excess of 130 seats. Almost all lost.

Iow majority of bjp seats were won by non tmc bjpians.

So how will bjp be split, unless didi engineers thru violence which has already happened.

Chetak-Saar,
that is a possibility of splitting the state unit of BJP. Because the other day when Subhendu Adhikary met the guv he had the support of 50 MLAs out of 75 (two resigned to go back to their MP seats).

Ambar-Saar,
The rag-tag third (federal) front may come together only with the sole objective of defeating BJP as they see the latter as their existential threat. Hence, by hook or by crook, they may come together to fight a united battle against BJP, and right now MB has taken the mantle to rally the wayward regional parties together. MR will be used to use his skills for this purpose. Let's see how it pans out.

In the mean time, the existing WB BJP MPs need to hold their fort, strengthen their grass root level machinery, and be ready to fight the 2024 GE.
Already MP Smt. Locket Chatterjee is showing the way by doing excellent PR work to help the Covid affected families in her constituency.
