Interesting stuff:

Tracing the history of Lal Haveli
Aamir Yasin, May 13, 2018

Once a symbol of love, Lal Haveli has now become a hub of politics in the garrison city, near synonymous with Awami Muslim League (AML) President Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
The haveli was built over a hundred years ago by Dhan Raj Sehgal for Budhan Bai, a Muslim dancing girl from Sialkot.
The story goes that Sehgal, who was from a wealthy Hindu family in Jhelum, met Budhan Bai when he went to Sialkot for a wedding.
He returned with her, and built her the Lal Haveli. Their relationship was famous in the city, and neither converted to the other’s religion. Sehgal also paid for the religious events arranged by Budhan Bai.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan squad will thrash India in the blockbuster T20 World Cup clash tomorrow (Sunday).
"This team has the talent to defeat India,"
"Insha'Allah, Pakistan will beat India tomorrow," he said.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam on Thursday warned India
Pakistan have lost all seven World Cup (50 over) clashes against India as well as five games in the Twenty20 World Cup and start as "underdogs".
"Records are meant to be broken."

Labaik dudes are again on streets of Lahore demanding French ambassador to be sent back. They have killed bunch of policemen. Home minister Sheikh Chilli (Son of Mr Dhanraj Sehgal by Buddhan Bai) is in Dubai

1. To beg for money
2. Watch cricket match

Only in Bakistan home minister will go away when country is burning.

The haveli is called Lal Haveli because despite being evacuees property declared. Mr Sehgal went back in 1950 and signed over the property to Ms. Budhan Bai naming it "Lal Haveli" aka Lal is son or "love child"

Something is brewing. I can't put my finger on it. The so-called senior leadership is conveniently out of the country (attending environmental seminars, ignoring FATF, watching cricket matches, begging in front of IMF, holidaying) while it burns and slides towards anarchy.

And, now this.

As Pemra bans hugging in dramas, netizens wonder why the glorification of domestic violence isn't an issue
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) recently banned the airing of "caress or hug" scenes in dramas
According to the directive issued on October 20, "hugs, caress scenes, extramarital relations, vulgar or bold dressing, bed scenes and intimacy of married couple" are being "glamorised" in "utter disregard to Islamic teachings and culture of Pakistani society".
Image
Pemra also stated that it proceeded with the ban after receiving "numerous complaints from the general public" about trends in dramas that do not depict the "true picture of Pakistani society".
There's no denying that Pakistani dramas continuously depict domestic violence, emotional abuse, stalking and unhealthy marital relations to carry drama plot lines forward. The wildly popular Iqra Aziz and Feroze Khan-starrer Khuda Aur Muhabbat showed Mahi (Aziz) being stalked by Farhad (Khan) as a display of 'love'. Khuda Aur Muhabbat also featured a depiction of domestic violence. An episode showed actor Nazim Shah (Sohail Sameer) slap his wife Sahiba (Sunita Marshall) during an argument.
AoA! Marching towards a purer society.

Sheikh Chilli terms paki T20 win as a victory for islam. He also says that Indian muslims are with pakhanistan. To celebrate this once in a lifetime win, he has directed that all containers erected in 'slummabad to restrict TLP's movement be removed.

Giving in to TLP.

Pakistan releases hundreds of TLP activists as protest continues
Pakistan’s government has released 350 activists of the far-right Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) religious group, the country’s interior minister says, as protests demanding the release of the group’s chief enter their fourth day.
Hundreds of TLP protesters remain encamped on the main highway on Monday near the town of Muridke, about 20km (12 miles) north of Pakistan’s second-biggest city, Lahore, as negotiations between the party’s leadership and a government committee continue.
“We have released 350 TLP workers up to now and we are still waiting to open both sides road of Muridke as per the decision with TLP,” Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, who is heading the government’s negotiating team, said on Sunday.
The far-right group, which campaigns on the issue of blasphemy and has held several countrywide demonstrations that have paralysed Pakistan in recent years
TLP official  Ashrafi said at least seven protesters had been killed in the clashes

Peerni's jaadu-tona did not work as Charsi Imran has to agree to appoint Army's choice for new ISI chief.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was forced to backtrack after a 20-day standoff with Pakistan Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa over the appointment of the next chief of spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday notified the appointment of Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum as the new ISI chief, replacing Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, reportedly an Imran Khan favourite.

Once upon a time, it used to be who had the back of the Americans, nowadays it is the Chinese to whom the TSPA has to turn to get the approval. IK also has to go to the same source. IMO, Bajwa has a better rapport with them. Let's see.

Pak army chief won DG ISI battle, PM Imran Khan got the procedural lollypop
With PM Imran Khan having no options but to tow the line of army chief, there is very strong speculation that General Bajwa may continue to head the military beyond his current retirement date of November 2022.
Shishir Gupta, Hindustan Times, New Delhi, Oct 27, 2021

Pakistan army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa revealed both his military clout and political maturity in getting his ISI candidate Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum appointed as head of Pakistan’s spy agency while ostensibly deferring to the process demands made by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
With PM Khan having no options but to tow the line of army chief, there is very strong speculation that Gen Bajwa may continue to head the military beyond his current retirement date of November 2022. Gen Bajwa took over as Pak Army Chief on November 29, 2016. On October 6, 2021, he replaced Lt Gen Faiz Hameed as DG, ISI and appointed Karachi V Corps Commander Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum as the head spook. Gen Hameed, who has been an open supporter of Taliban’s Interior Minister and global terrorist Sirajuddin Haqqani, was appointed as the Commander of XI Corps at Peshawar.
The appointment got stuck after PM Khan wanted the due process to be followed as if indicating that he did not want to replace Gen Hameed, who was again seen in Kabul with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi after his replacement has been announced by the Rawalpindi GHQ.
While Pak PM showed his ostensible clout with the Army by issuing a press release about Gen Anjum taking over as ISI from Gen Hameed on November 19, fact is that Gen Bajwa had his way with civilian leadership happy with a facile victory. Unlike Gen Bajwa who hardly comments on India unnecessarily, PM Khan showed his political immaturity by gloating on Pak cricket team defeating India in a T20 match in Dubai. His clever offer of a dialogue with India from Saudi Arabia is a non-starter as the Modi government will not open any diplomatic channel till Pakistan stops targeting India through home bred Islamic jihadists. The rabid Islamic comments made by PM Khan’s minister and even former Pakistan cricketers after the T20 victory have been noted by the government. It was seen an attempt by Pakistan civilian leadership to be seen as more aggressive than Pak Army leadership on India for political gains in future.

IK's boot licking of the Saudi royals gave them the much needed relief in forex reserves. If IK has a spine (and that is a big IF) he must be pissed like hell that he has to do all the begging while the generals fatten themselves and their bank accounts on the backs of the poor of the country. If indeed the civilian PM is unhappy with the establishment, it can only be a good thing for Pakistan in the long run. IK is on a suicide mission and who knows, he may be the one to prevail here if he can bring the army to operate within the meager budget that the country can actually afford. Army in turn will goad their numerous benamis like the TLP but as we saw today the civvies seem to have taken a head-on confrontation with the TLP.

Although IK has been bad-mouthing India and our leadership for some years now, it may be a good time to do a track-2 and explore the possibility of working with IK and widen the fissures within Pakistan.

This TTP thingy just escalated to a new level. Could lead to an all-out civil war!

Rangers being called in Punjab for 60 days following clashes with TLP: Rashid
The minister's remarks came as fresh violence erupted between law enforcers and TLP supporters near Sadhoke in Punjab's Gujranwala district on Wednesday. At least four policemen were martyred hallaled and over 250 injured.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry categorically said that TLP will not be allowed to challenge the writ of the state and will be treated as a "militant" group and not a religious party.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad after Chaudhry's press conference, Rashid said that the group had "another agenda"."So I am authorising Punjab govt to call in Rangers."
"This is the sixth time the TLP has done this," he said, adding he was being "compelled" to do this press conference. "They [TLP] have become militants. In Sadhoke, they fired at police with Kalashnikovs [but] the cops only had lathis."
He said that the banned group had martyred police officials two days ago after subjecting them to violence. "Today, dozens are injured [...] they fired bullets straight at us which injured 253 officials and killed four."
So, the police and other local paramilitary forces couldn't control the spiralling situation and sheikh chilly resorted to calling in the border paramilitary force (India's equivalent of the BSF). Sixty days and counting...

Four Pakistani police killed in violence at far-right TLP protest
Clashes broke out at a rally of the banned TLP group which is demanding the release of its imprisoned leader.
27 Oct 2021

Four Pakistani police officers were killed and hundreds wounded when armed activists from a banned group clashed with security forces at an anti-blasphemy demonstration near the eastern city of Lahore, officials said.
The clashes broke out on Wednesday at a rally of the banned far-right Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) party on a highway in Sheikhupura, just outside Lahore, as the group prepared to march on the capital Islamabad, a spokesman for the Punjab police said.
The TLP is protesting against the detention of its leader Saad Rizvi, arrested in April when the group was outlawed by authorities, and is demanding the expulsion of France’s ambassador for the publication of a series of caricatures depicting the Prophet Muhammad by a French satirical magazine.
Rao Sardar Ali Khan, inspector general of the Punjab police, said four officers were killed and at least 263 wounded.
Earlier, Sajid Saifi, a spokesman for Rizvi, said two TLP supporters died when police opened fire at the rally in Sadhuke. Police said they were not aware of any deaths among demonstrators.
However, the police said more than 200 supporters of the TLP party were detained in a crackdown aimed at containing the spread of violence to other parts of the province.

China, Russia, Iran and Pakistan Move to Create United Front on Afghanistan
Tom O'Connor, 10/27/21

China, Russia, Iran, Pakistan and others in the region surrounding Afghanistan have set out to establish unity in confronting the crises enveloping the nation since the U.S. military withdrawal.
In their second such meeting, the senior diplomats from Afghanistan's six neighboring countries and Russia gathered virtually and in person for a conference in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Wednesday in an effort to further align their views.
They come together at a time when Afghanistan is facing imminent humanitarian, economic and security crises. Representatives were on hand from China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Among the most concerning developments for these countries has been the rise of militant groups such as the Islamic State (ISIS) that have issued threats beyond Afghanistan's borders.
"We should positively view the timely development of bilateral and multilateral dialogues and cooperation with Afghanistan on fighting terrorism," Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in comments carried by official Iranian media outlets and Russia's state-run Tass Russian News Agency.
He called upon those present to act through two platforms, the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a coalition of countries in which all present, save for neutral Turkmenistan, are members.
"It is necessary to create a unified front against terrorism by means of such multilateral platforms as the U.N. and the SCO," Wang said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov echoed this call in his remarks, and additionally offered the assistance of the Collective Treaty Security Organization, a Moscow-led alliance that also included Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Love the reactions currency market has on bakshish from KSA. PKR is on rise and its all back to rent-for-hire for Pakis.

The easy options to GUBO and make money will keep Pakis sliding down albeit slower than we desire. But Pakis will continue to focus on easy things that comes naturally to them from their ancestors over making hard decisions.

back to geostrategy from geoeconomics..

But what is 4-6, they need score miltary targets with greater nos, it will be nice if persons outside Paki state control become beneficiaries of US weapons in Afganistan, it is largely the fact the reliable weapons have been with the Pak fauj which has meant control. The Aam Abduls in Pak have been trained for years to read between the lines - those that can read, that is. Journos can't publish casualty figures in double digits. When a mere gas cylinder can cause 4+6 casualties, surely the casualties of security forces caught in the middle of an ambush, against real weapons, will be several times higher ?

News that wasn't (published or heard).

Pak General's son convicted for asking Army chief Bajwa to resign
A Pakistan military court has convicted the son of a retired major general of the Pakistan Army to five years prison term for asking Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to resign.
Hassan Askari, son of Maj Gen (R) Zafar Mehdi Askari, was convicted under treason charges for criticising the Pak Army chief's extension in a letter to him.
Hassan was defended by an officer deputed by the Pakistan military court in a trial conducted in July this year.
Earlier in January, the case was heard by the Islamabad High Court which directed holding the treason trial in camera.

Au contraire, mon kufr! Today, the paki establishment laid down its arms and bent over in front of superior islamic force without a shot being fired. TLP got what it wanted, and it ain't over yet.

Govt says agreement reached with TLP, details to be unveiled at 'appropriate time'
The proscribed group began the march, calling for the release of its incarcerated leader, Saad Rizvi, and the expulsion of France's ambassador
The protesters have started packing up their belongings, but have been told not to move until they are given the green light by the TLP's leadership in Islamabad
Sajid Saifi, a TLP spokesman, told Reuters that supporters were ready to pack up but were awaiting instructions from the party's leadership.

Spymaster’s Day
It is on record that the ISI chief’s role in Afghanistan, in the aftermath of the Taliban takeover, had not found favour with General Bajwa.

The omnipotent GHQ in Rawalpindi has had its way with the notification on the appointment of Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum as the new chief of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He will next month replace the incumbent, Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, who has been shifted as corps commander to Peshawar, a strategic post given its proximity to Afghanistan. The confirmation comes after weeks of speculation about a rift between the Army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Prime Minister Imran Khan, who reportedly was keen on Gen Hameed continuing in his post. According to the notification, Gen Hameed will remain in charge until 19 November and then make way for Gen Anjum.
Separately, the PMO in a series of tweets said Gen Bajwa had called on the Prime Minister on Tuesday. “The meeting was part of the ongoing consultation process between the Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff about the timing of change of command in ISI and selection of the new DG ISI,” the statement added. This precisely was at the core of the three-week delay in formalising the appointments. During the consultation process, “a list of officers was received from [the] Ministry of Defence” following which the Prime Minister “interviewed all the nominees”, the PMO said, adding that a final round of consultations was held between the premier and the COAS on Wednesday.
“After this detailed consultative process, name of Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum was approved as new DG ISI. The designate DG ISI shall assume charge on November 20, 2021.” This elaborate messaging was clearly aimed at saving the Prime Minister’s face, but only emphasised that the civilian government has been compelled to fall in line with the decisions taken by the Army top brass.
Earlier this month, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had denied reports of a standoff, even as Pakistan resonated with talk of the dangerous path the Prime Minister had embarked on to ensure the continuance of Gen Hameed, thought to be his favourite.
