American blogger Cynthia Ritchie found unconscious at Islamabad flat

Saar you missed the part that she is blaming Indian agents for this. Three Indian agents drugged her in her diplomatic enclave residence. She was discovered by her flat neighbor in half dressed state in the building where they reside. He quickly took her to his flat where he tried to revive her for 3 full hours all by himself :D. Didnt call the police or ambulance. After his attempts produced no results he contacted other neighbors who dressed her and took her to the hospital.
What was she doing in Slumabad in first place?

rsinghji, since you said you couldn't find ingratiate in the dictionary, I searched and this is what I found:
ingratiate - bring oneself into favour with someone by flattering or trying to please them.
Original poster Yensoy's post was terse and to the point. Agree with you that a lot of Indians like to write/say in flowery, verbose, long winded sentences. An extreme example is Shashi Tharoor :P

Just my personal opinion
Well said :rotfl: . I am unsophisticated mango man. I have to juggle in 4 languages on daily basis. It is easy to explain then throwing dictionary at each other a la shampoo boy. :((

Joint strategy being formulated for Chinese nationals’ security: Pakistan
Pakistan assures Chinese government of foolproof security following Gwadar, Dasu attacks.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed hosts Chinese envoy at lunch.
Nong Rong says Chinese government thankful to interior ministry for the provision of facilities to its nationals.
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Sunday said that a joint strategy is being prepared for the security of Chinese citizens and Chinese companies operating in Pakistan

Sheikh Rasheed was speaking to the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong, who visited him at his residence to discuss matters of mutual interest between the two countries.

The assurance by the Pakistani government came after the Chinese Embassy’s statement asked Islamabad to conduct a thorough investigation into the Gwadar suicide attack and severely punish the perpetrators and take practical steps to ensure such incidents do not occur again.

CPEC is our economic jugular vein: Sh Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed said on Monday that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is our economic jugular vein and some elements do not want Pakistan to move forward with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects as the situation in Afghanistan has made it more important and conspiracies are being hatched against it.

He said that the Taliban have assured Pakistan that they will not allow the Afghan soil to be used by the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). "Some elements do not want Pakistan to move forward with the CPEC but Imran Khan’s government is determined to make it successful," he said.
He said that during the meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong, he assured him that foolproof security would be given to Chinese citizens and companies functioning in Pakistan.

The minister said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would not be allowed to become a target of any external conspiracy. He added, “No one can become a hurdle in the relations between Pakistan and China”.

He said that the objectives behind incidents like Stock Exchange and Dasu Hydropower Bus were to economically destabilise Pakistan as enemies were against Pak-China friendship. Rashid said investigation of all such incidents was underway.

IMF chief thanks PM for evacuation of staff from Kabul
The International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on Tuesday thanked Pakistan for helping in evacuation of fund staff and their families from Afghanistan after its takeover by Taliban.
She thanked the prime minister, the ministers for foreign affairs, finance and defence, as well as the governor State Bank, for playing an instrumental role in the evacuation of IMF staff and their families from Afghanistan. “We are grateful for the partnership between Pakistan and the Fund and look forward to continuing our cooperation,” said Kristalina Georgieva.

Taliban takeover a 'blessing' for Pak-Afghan trade, say traders
“As a result, trade activities at border crossings, therefore at Spin Boldak, Chaman and Torkham, have picked up momentum,” Shinwari told Geo.tv.

The vice president even went as far as to call the Taliban takeover a “blessing in disguise”, explaining that it is a win-win situation for traders on both sides.

“Earlier, traders had to pay dual toll taxes,” he said, “One tax was paid to the Afghan government and another to the Taliban. Now we have to only pay the Taliban.”

Shinwari further added that the Afghan government officials would also ask traders for bribes ranging from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 100,000. Since the Taliban have came, he said, the bribes have stopped.

Under the trade agreement, Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan include cereals, edible fruits, pharmaceutical products, wood, plastics, iron and steel, amongst others. The agreement also provides for Afghan exports :?: to India using the land border between Pakistan and India.

We need to stop ridiculing those activities and be serious about the reality.
It doesn't matter for Papistan for being in perpetual state of circulating loans.

We are acting like a fool for decades and waiting for collapse of Pakistan just by being under the burden of loans.

We need to identify real enemies of India and of course Papistan is one of those but not end of the list.

The best way to get a competitor (or potential competitor) to underachieve is to keep them busy with internal conflicts. We all know Shanti mein Tarakki

Keeping Kashmir boiling and maintaining Pakistan at a "India-specific" nuisance level suits *everyone* including the US, Russia, China, Pakistan, France, UK, Israel

The only way out of this trap is a local MIC and a 10T economy. So keep expecting IMF loans and loan forgiveness until then. At that point, everyone will shut up like the OIC & Imran on Uighur issues

TSP NSA's :(( in WashPo.
Pakistan wants to be treated like an ally, not a scapegoat
As the world begins to process the implications of the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, lots of people in Washington are pointing fingers at Pakistan, a major non-NATO ally that hasn’t been seen as an ally for a long time. But the world is changing fast, and the United States and Pakistan each have a clear interest in moving past their problems and working together, the country’s national security adviser told me in an interview.
Afghan instability could lead to more terrorism, refugees and economic hardship for Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s national security adviser, Moeed Yusuf, said in a phone interview. The United States and Pakistan have a shared interest in working together in Afghanistan, he said, but that will require fixing the bilateral relationship.
U.S. intelligence agencies believe that elements of the Pakistani military and intelligence system have supported the Taliban for years, a charge the civilian leadership denies. According to Human Rights Watch, this support has included funding, diplomatic support, recruiting and training of Taliban fighters, providing the Taliban arms and even direct combat support.

Pakistan perennially stands accused of providing havens for the Taliban on its side of the border. Pakistani officials point out that tens of thousands of Pakistani soldiers have died fighting extremists in their own country since 9/11.
Pakistan is the victim. :(( We had nothing to do with 9/11. … We teamed up with the U.S. to fight back … and after that there is a major backlash on Pakistan,” {We dont know how OBL ended up in Abbottabad under TSPA's bed onlee} Yusuf said. “But let’s let all that pass. We need to work out how to move forward as partners, because neither side can do without the other in terms of stability in the region.”

The U.S.-supported government in Kabul used Pakistan as a scapegoat to excuse its own ineptitude, corruptions and unpopularity, Yusuf said. Pakistan helped bring the Taliban to the negotiating table at Washington’s request, got cut out of the negotiations and is now being blamed for the outcome.

“Did Pakistan tell the Afghan National Army not to fight? Did Pakistan tell Ashraf Ghani to run away?” he said. “The entire state collapsed in a week. So somebody was lying, somebody was misreporting, or somebody was mistaken about the reality and when it came to informing the taxpayers of the Western world.”

NNN reports that Pakistan's NSA further added "If world's superpower US could not find OBL in Pakistan for 10 years, how can a third world country in Pakistan find him in Pakistan within 10 years? If US has any information about other terrorists who are holed up in Pakistan, they should immediately share it with Pakistan so that they can be moved to a safer place."

Islamabad has a problem. Taliban won’t tone down now – in Afghanistan or Pakistan
Ayesha Siddiqa

The US is out of Kabul and the Taliban are in. Afghanistan awaits a reset of direction. The Taliban are aiming for power and influence to make the interim setup that will then form the next Afghanistan government. Surely but sadly, Pakistan sits at the heart of the herculean process of government-building in Afghanistan and its acceptance by the international community.

Sources say that in a private gathering of retired generals, journalists and diplomats, Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that he was not in a hurry to recognise a Taliban-led regime until it’s done by the international community or at least by some select States. The problem is that, thus far, all significant States including the Central Asian republics are not feeling confident to recognise the Taliban. He also spoke about his apprehension that Pakistan may be targeted by the US and slapped with sanctions, which he is ready for. The last bit of the statement is incorrect because Pakistan needs funds more than the Taliban. Pakistan is more of a State than a Taliban-led Afghanistan. It will be a struggle for Islamabad to help Afghanistan get on its feet, even if it feels that the Taliban are a transformed entity and not the same as 1990s.

Pakistan’s plan
Despite Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir’s claim that people in Pakistan are not celebrating the Taliban victory, there is much excitement at different levels for various reasons. Broadly, there is an acceptance of the power shift next door. There is either a weariness with the Afghan war, which is keeping men on the street, especially in the tribal areas, quiet, or there is a silent acceptance of change driven by a deep-set suspicion of the West.

The Pakistani military establishment floats in the middle – trying to balance their excitement on getting rid of the Ashraf Ghani government, and deep thoughts of how to engage the world in accepting the new political formula and make it work to Pakistan’s advantage. The Taliban victory, which did not seem likely six months ago, reminded Islamabad’s special envoy to Afghanistan Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin’s saying: “There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.” However, the issue with decades concentrating in a few weeks is that there is a lot to handle. Pakistan definitely has a lot on its plate varying from regional and global reaction to Afghanistan and managing the domestic impact.

There is no point hiding the reality that Islamabad expected and desired this change. According to Iranian-American author Vali Nasr, former army chief Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani warned Washington about not prolonging its stay in Afghanistan. Since Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s military echelons knew that the US would leave and wanted to accelerate the departure. With this understanding, Rawalpindi invested primarily in the Taliban. Rawalpindi’s desire was to ensure a friendly establishment in its northwestern neighbouring nation, which doesn’t get exploited against Pakistan’s interests, especially by India. The former army chief, General Mirza Aslam Beg further explained the notorious concept of ‘strategic depth’ in his latest book Compulsions of Power to mean creating a grouping of States that would have a joint cultural and strategic ethos – meaning Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran.

But the Taliban back in Kabul is not as easy as it sounds.

Also read: Pakistan vs Qatar — it could be a dirty contest over who will mentor Taliban now

All’s not well for Pakistan
Policymakers in Islamabad have three broad issues to think about.

First, how to develop international legitimacy for the new Afghan government. Rawalpindi wants the world to accept that business can be done with the Taliban. This means building a new image that is different from the 1990s. The Taliban have been signaling to women that they will have the liberty to work and get education provided they stick to basic norms of sharia. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid recently announced that the media was free to work and that they will remove their fighters from near media offices. This statement is a reminder of similar assurances about media freedom by Pakistan’s generals, which makes one realise the effort afoot to make a Taliban-led regime look increasingly like Pakistan (or even India): Hybrid-authoritarian and hybrid-theocratic. Despite the propaganda, the Taliban’s behaviour, thus far, is not generating trust.

Second, the Taliban may not return to their sharia governance of the 1990s, at least not across Afghanistan, to gain the legitimacy necessary to acquire resources from abroad. The Taliban may be old, but the expectation of the ordinary Afghan for a workable State structure is new. A post-9/11 political system, though artificial, was run through international financial aid. Over years, people got used to it and would want basic needs to be met. It’s no longer just about Taliban using drug money to survive, but about feeding the people for which international cooperation is necessary. Kabul will have to behave itself and engage with global players to get Washington to release $9 billion.

Also read: China takes a risky Taliban gamble as it eyes Afghanistan’s minerals worth $1 trillion

Pakistan does not have the money to feed Afghanistan or even the refugees if they turn up at the door again. This means the Taliban must behave themselves during the American pull-out process. It’s essential that nothing untoward happens to the American public if not the Afghans left behind by American and NATO forces. The speed at which General Bajwa has convinced the British Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Nick Carter of the Taliban being ‘country boys’ only wanting implementation of sharia, which is confused with ‘Pushtunwali,’ indicates that security of women and minorities may not be a strategic story for long. The human tragedies are flavour of the week but could be ignored in the long run. The actual compromise on human rights was made earlier when US negotiators agreed to release 5,000 Taliban prisoners. The possibility of the world doing business with the Taliban remains as long as there are no future acts of terror that remind of 9/11.

This applies to China as well – it is cautious about investing in Afghanistan. Pakistan’s goal is to convince the world that Afghanistan under the Taliban is now a better place. This is a risky route because it puts a lot more on Pakistan’s plate than it can chew. In case of an act of terror, Islamabad will get dragged over the coals including by China if the event takes place there.

Third, Pakistan wants to encourage the Taliban to work out a broad-based formula to include varied domestic stakeholders like the Northern Alliance and other warlords as part of a new government. It may not be easy to convince Taliban, who are confident of their victory, to make major adjustments. This is where the real problem for Pakistan begins: There is too much opacity around what Pakistan can deliver and what it cannot. An even more serious problem is how much control can Islamabad exert to ensure its safety from Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) or other militant groups that are ideologically associated with the Taliban. The Afghan Taliban will not cut ties with the TTP, nor will they stop inspiring the religious Right in Pakistan that will now even more eagerly look at the possibility of Pakistan turning into a theocracy. The head of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq, recently announced his support for the Taliban and asked for a sharia-based system in Pakistan. Not far was Jaish-e-Mohammed expressing excitement in one of its recent publications about the Taliban and jihad in Kashmir.

The fact remains that, notwithstanding the ambition to mellow the tone of religion in Afghanistan, Pakistan itself runs the risk of becoming more like its northwestern neighbour – more religious and more authoritarian. None of this sounds great for China, which remains one of the few authoritarian but secular-nationalist states in the neighbourhood.

https://www.dawn.com/news/1642480
QUETTA: Some armed men gunned down three coal miners working in the Marwar coalfield area on Monday night, some 70 kilometres from Quetta, security officials said on Tuesday.

The victims were identified as Hidayat-ur-Rehman, Gul Hakim and Abdul Wakeel, who were working for two private coal companies — the National Coal Company and Dinar Coalmines. The gunmen entered the area in the night and opened indiscriminate fire, killing the three coal miners on the spot.

“Three young coal miners were killed on the spot as they suffered multiple bullet injuries,” Gul Muhammad, a senior police officer of Hanna police station, told Dawn. Members of security forces reached the site after getting information about the incident and took bodies to hospital.

Expect more funding for Khangress, 47pasand, tamasha and their media gang. Free dollars printed from somewhere but real repercussions for us. Those virtual dollars should lead to real jhaapads from us otherwise the game will just keep rolling. This is a hydra we are dealing with , Ramayana already told us how to deal with this monster

Pakistan side of Afghan border is secure: DG ISPR
https://www.dawn.com/news/1642926/pakis ... re-dg-ispr
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar on Friday emphasised that the situation on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border was "normal and under control" while Pakistan's side was "secure".

At the outset of his press conference in Rawalpindi, he said he would talk about the evolving situation in Afghanistan and the implied national security problems that Pakistan could face, along with the measures the armed forces had taken and would continue to take to "ward off any spillover of insecurity and instability into Pakistan".

Prior to the Taliban's takeover of Kabul, the military situation in the war-torn country "unfolded rapidly", he said, adding that Pakistan had already started taking the measures it needed to guard the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and to ensure security.

Pakistan had apprehensions that the situation would unfold in the way that it did and there could be a "spillover", which is why it took the steps it did, he elaborated.

Cent per cent true, note how along with the regime change ops against Trump the same western media were unleashed against India. There is a pattern here, and an assertive India is not acceptable to multiple power centers. We have to make our own weapons and grow our economy, as you said.

@TheZaiduLeaks

We Pakistanis were always subjected to discrimination.

When Afghan army surrendered in front of Taliban, Americans gave Afghan citizens free US visa.

But when our Pak Army surrendered in front of India, Indians never gave us free Indian Visa.

Where is UN? Where is Humanity?

From the land of the weirdos and beardos, here's a statement that makes one wonder what color is the sky in their make-believe world.

2 Pakistan Army sepoys "martyred" in exchange of fire with militants from across Afghan border: ISPR
Quotes are mine.
"Terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on a military post in Bajaur district," the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, adding that Pakistani troops had responded in a befitting manner.
And, the ISPR statement:
The ISPR said Pakistan "strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that [the] existing and future setup in Afghanistan will not allow such activities".

So, after the pakiban takeover, such "bad terrorists with RAA/NDS links" should not exist, right?

And now this.

First donkey export farm
China uses donkey hides for transitional medicine
However, the Punjab government has come with precisely this plan. It has set up the first donkey breeding farm in the city of Okara.
The Punjab government plans to raise some of the best breeds of donkeys, a news report says.
Apparently, China is unable to meet its domestic demand for donkeys though it is said to be one of the largest donkey breeders in the world.
china requires 4.8m donkey hides a year “to satisfy the demand for a gelatin-based traditional medicine called ejiao
The chini iron birathers have come to the right nation of asses to meet their androoni demand.
