9 Chinese engineers among 12 killed in 'attack' near Dasu hydropower plant
Sirajuddin | Umar Bacha, July 14, 2021
At least 12 persons, including nine Chinese engineers and two Frontier Corps personnel, died and several others were injured on Wednesday in a bus "attack" near the Dasu hydropower plant in the Upper Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Initial reports from officials on what caused the deaths appeared conflicting; however, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan, speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, termed it a "cowardly attack" and said that it would "not divert attention from the special initiatives between Pakistan and its neighbours".
Condemning the attack, Awan said that he will ask Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to give a briefing on the country's security situation and take this house into confidence regarding the incident.
......
Hours later, the Foreign Office contradicted reports of an attack, saying that the bus "plunged into a ravine after a mechanical failure resulting in leakage of gas that caused a blast". The FO also put the death toll at 12, including 9 Chinese nationals, up from earlier reports of 10 deaths.
The Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, however, condemned the incident as a “bombing”.

Pakistan bus blast kills 13 including Chinese; Beijing blames bomb
PESHAWAR, Pakistan/BEIJING (Reuters) -A blast on a bus killed 13 people in north Pakistan on Wednesday, including nine Chinese nationals in what Beijing said was a bomb attack but Islamabad called a vehicle failure.
Pakistan's foreign ministry said a mechanical failure caused a gas leak which led to the explosion.

Traces of explosives found, terrorism can't be ruled out from Dasu bus incident: Fawad
"Initial investigations into Dassu incident have now confirmed traces of explosives, terrorism cannot be ruled out, PM is personally supervising all developments, in this regard Govt is in close coordination with Chinese embassy we are committed to fight menace of terrorism together," he wrote on Twitter.
And then this happened (all in one day):His statement came a day after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told his Chinese counterpart that preliminary investigation into the incident revealed it was not a consequence of a terrorist attack
Qureshi had met Chinese foreign minister, Wang Yi. In the meeting, the statement added, Yi stressed the immediate arrest of and severe punishment for perpetrators in case the incident was a terrorist attack.
Yi urged for a probe into the incident and told Qureshi that "the Chinese side is shocked by the serious Chinese casualties in Pakistan today (what about the four momeens who were killed? No mention of those pakis?), hoping that the Pakistani side could quickly find out its cause, conduct rescue and treatment work at all costs, deal with the aftermath in time, and prevent similar incidents from happening again".
"...a terrorist attack, the criminals must be immediately arrested and severely punished"
Qureshi said China was Pakistan's "most important friend and most reliable partner, and China's loss is Pakistan's loss,"
"Pakistan will spare no effort to rescue and treat the wounded, thoroughly investigate the truth of the incident, lose no time in sharing the progress of the investigation with China, and do its utmost to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel in Pakistan," the statement quoted him as saying.
Wow! Just Wow! One scolding from the mai-baaps and the pakis turn turtle and start to bleat for forgiveness. This is one sold-out nation.Sources privy to the investigation said a Chinese national was missing and a search for his whereabouts was under way.

National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf has said Pakistan has not given an opportunity to the United States to demand airbases after withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Moeed Yusuf said it was quite logical that the US would be in search of airbases after withdrawal from Afghanistan. And then, he said, an article appeared in New York Times about this issue and Pakistan had to clarify its position. He said Pakistan’s position is that it cannot provide airbases to US.
Pakistan had to clarify its position on the issue.
He said after Pakistan’s clear position, no one from the US would come and talk about it.
He said the world should not consider Pakistan ‘free for all’.

China postpones meeting of CPEC Joint Coordination Committee
Beijing, meanwhile, reacted sharply to the incident by postponing a meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) scheduled for Friday. The meeting was to be held through video link.
Mr Lijian said Chinese government was taking the incident, which resulted in heavy casualty, very seriously and the Communist Party and state leaders had given “important instructions right away.”
Beijing has on multiple occasions in the past raised concern about the security of their citizens working on various projects in Pakistan. Islamabad has always assured China that protecting the Chinese was a national responsibility.
And, that's how a landlord-indentured laborer relationship is supposed to work.Since the bus tragedy, the security of Chinese engineers and workers executing development projects under the CPEC has been beefed up.

for sure, the paki ISI already knows who the culprits are. They have their fingers on the jehadi pulse and also such an operation against the hans cannot be kept quiet because there is already a great deal of anger against the cheeni and a whole lot of jehadis are actually out to get them.
Quite miraculously, a "proven" India link will now "emerge" very soon. The paki ISI are manufacturing it right now, setting up the narrative as well as the "concrete" evidence of the R&AW "conspiracy".
An encounter is more than enough to "exterminate" the cowardly terrorists and also wipe the trail clean so that a controlled narrative can be spun per the niazi-bajwa convenience to placate the hans.
This is the only way out for the bumbling niazi-bajwa paki vermin who are ruling and it is their only path to salvation, if the pakis want to stay on the cheeni gravy train right now

Daughter of Afghan ambassador Najibullah Alikhil kidnapped and tortured in Imran Khan’s ‘Naya Pakistan’
Times Now Digital, Jul 17, 2021
New Delhi: Daughter of Najibullah Alikhil, the Afghan ambassador in Pakistan, was kidnapped and tortured before being released by unknown abductors. Condemning the horrific act, the Afghan foreign ministry said the Pakistani government must act to protect Afghanistan’s diplomatic mission in Pakistan. Silsila Alikhil was kidnapped in Islamabad while she was on her way home.
“We condemn this disgraceful act in strongest words and urge Pakistan to take steps to secure diplomats and their families,” the statement added.
Unknown individuals severely tortured Silsila Alikhil
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Afghanistan, Silsila was abducted on July 16 for several hours, during which unknown individuals severely tortured her.
“After being released from kidnappers’ captivity, she is in medical care at a hospital,” the MoFA said and strongly condemned this heinous act and expressed its deep concern over the safety and security of diplomats, their families, and staff members of the Afghan political and consular missions in Pakistan.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Govt of Pakistan to take immediate necessary actions to ensure full security of Afghan Embassy and Consulates as well as immunity of the country’s diplomats and their families in accordance with international treaties and conventions,” it said.
On Friday, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani blasted Pakistan, saying despite repeated assurances by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his generals, networks and organizations are openly backing the Taliban and are celebrating the destruction of the assets and capabilities of the Afghan people and state.
