Imran Khan declares 'Jihad' after shooting attack; Pak Army slams ex-PM
Imran Khan, the former Pakistan PM, has declared 'Jihad' or holy war against the Pakistani government as he called on people to hit streets and demanded sacking of PM Shehbaz Sharif, his interior minister and an ISI officer. Imran accused the trio of conspiring against him and ordering the recent attack on him.

“As chair of G-77, I will urge the world to deliver on its commitment on climate finance and loss and damage fund. Without financial support, the developing countries will continue to remain exposed to the multifarious threats of climate change. We are asking for climate justice,” tweeted PM Shehbaz.

Ik has turned rakkit mard and is going for full jeehard now. This is direct attack on the establishment. There has to be a response. Will it be through judiciary?
Imran requests president to demarc ISPR
Imran requests president to demarc ISPR
ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has urged the president to act against the “abuse of power and violations of our laws and of the Constitution,” and define “clear operational lines” of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Army.
In a letter addressed to Arif Alvi on November 6, Khan charged the military with abuse of power and obstruction of justice, before appealing to the president to take note of “serious wrongdoings” which he said undermined the national security of Pakistan.
He also asked Alvi to identify the “guilty” and hold them accountable, in an apparent reference to the top army brass.
Analysts understood to be sympathetic to the political role of the army have blamed Khan for “needlessly antagonistic behaviour” before, and after, the toppling of his government, denouncing political rivals as “traitors” and taunting the military as “neutrals,” in a sardonic reference to its historical role as kingmaker.

Re: Terroristan - March 31, 2022
His strategy has been to operate out of Peshawar where he has a loyal PTI govt and hop over the border to Punjab. Sindh and Balochistan are too far away and under unfriendly provincial govts. Peshawar or the big cities in Punjab would be shooting himself in the foot as his own party runs the provincial govts. The exception is Islamabad which he is threatening to target.sudhan wrote:Interesting how IK did not call for a siege of the main cities.. there must be some line in the sand he is afraid of crossing.

Re: Terroristan - March 31, 2022
PTI does not have any other credible leader except dimran. They are a frankestein cobbled together by the army.
Which means that if Dimran gets bumped off, there will be a couple of days of rioting, and following that PTI stalwarts would get brown pants and everything will die down.
Dimran is no mood to compromise. He wants the turkish model -- he is the absolute ruler and the army is totally subservient. Which means that the TFTAs are very tempted to send him a mango crate.

He doesn't have enough people to lay siege to main cities, leaders or followers. He didnt do it even when he had full establishment support. His best bet is to lay siege to the capital city and try to stop the government from functioning.sudhan wrote:Interesting how IK did not call for a siege of the main cities.. there must be some line in the sand he is afraid of crossing.
Capital is close to KP. Most of his followers for long term sit in come from KP. He has no capabilities to do any long term disruption in any other major city in Punjab, Sindh or Balochistan.

as does bhutto....
maybe it's best that they sorted out the mess themselves, with the army getting by far, the biggest vote in the formation of the next govt.
there is no difference between the three of them, including the fact that all three have a god complex and see themselves as caliphs.
Regarding the paki pappu bilawal, the uniformed jehadis got his grandfather, the phata pyjama jehadis, with musharaff singing happy birthday in the background, got his mother.

Pakistan’s Top Military Brass Split Over Political Situation; Inside Details of New Army Chief’s Selection
According to a top military source, the 253rd Corps Commanders Conference (CCC) on November 8 witnessed a clear spilt in top military generals’ opinion over the country current political situation.
Few top generals, who are running for the new COAS race, are not happy with General Bajwa and his policies, and holding him accountable for disrespecting the institution, a source told CNN-News18. However, few generals like DG ISI, DG MO and others supported Bajwa and praised his policies too.
The top military brass also reviewed the situation after the attack on Imran Khan and the countrywide protests.

dar statesFinance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the State Bank of Pakistan and the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) will withdraw their appeals from the Supreme Court and the government will fully try to implement an Islamic system in Pakistan as soon as possible
https://www.businessworld.in/article/Pa ... 22-453520/“Because this is ordained in the Holy Quran and I believe the barometer of our decisions is the Quran and Sunnah,” Dar was quoted as saying by Samaa TV.
He also prayed for divine guidance in putting this new system in place.
On the other hand, Dar said that transitioning to a new system would be difficult because the new practice can only be implemented after a period of time.
Nonetheless, according to the minister, the government had decided to withdraw the appeals in the coming days.
“The government has decided, in light of the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, that the government's two appeals against the Federal Shariah Court's verdict will be withdrawn, and work will begin to implement the system within a defined timeline,” Dar added.

ECP decides to take action against Imran
ISLAMABAD: Another sword of disqualification is potentially hanging over PTI chief Imran Khan as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday decided to take action against the former prime minister for failing to submit details of the expenses incurred during the by-elections.
According to the poll supervisory body, the PTI chief has not yet submitted the details of election expenses from six constituencies except NA-24 Charsadda, which were also not furnished within the period stipulated by the electoral laws. Consequently, the ECP had held back the issuance of notification of Imran's victory on the six seats over his failure to provide the details of the election expenses during the by-election.
According to the election rules, it is mandatory to submit the expenditure details within the days after the election. In the past, the failure to do so has also led to the disqualifications of candidates.
Moreover, the Supreme Court has also on many occasions barred the losing candidate from contesting the upcoming elections. In light of the court decision, Imran Khan can also be declared ineligible for the upcoming elections.

If couple of riots is all that's going to happen then Immy would have been killed long ago.... Not in the recent attack, like months ago... Even before he called Bajwa "Mir Jaffar"
Maybe the western funding will entirely stop in lieu of political killings... Maybe something else that had stopped army from killing
To be continued on Immy using Turkish model. Have to go now

IHC dismisses petition seeking Imran’s disqualification
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of former prime minister Imran Khan for not ‘revealing’ that he had allegedly fathered an “illegitimate daughter”.
The court also issued detailed verdicts on petitions seeking disqualification of former president Asif Ali Zardari and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, observing that such matters were “a waste of litigants’ time and diminish public confidence in their elected representatives”.
In its observations on the petition against Imran Khan, an IHC division bench said the allegation that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman “concealed his daughter” was a matter of “private life”.

Changing winds?
With the stand-off between the PTI and the state going from tense to outright hostile over the past fortnight, few would have expected Imran Khan to budge an inch — especially not with public opinion seemingly in his favour. Yet the former prime minister might be reconsidering some of his positions in his fight against the state.
On Tuesday, Mr Khan told a group of journalists that he does not see a problem in Shehbaz Sharif’s government appointing the next army chief. He even seemed okay with the idea of the appointment being made without any input from his party. “They can appoint whoever they want,” he said — a surprising remark considering that just days ago, he had been railing about “thieves and looters” being given the power to make that decision.
He also avoided sharing his thoughts about the FIR finally filed by the Punjab Police following the failed bid to assassinate him; it doesn’t name any of the three people he had originally nominated. Instead, he said that his lawyers would be providing his stance on the matter.

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan has apparently taken a U-turn on his ‘foreign conspiracy narrative’ wherein he accused the US of engineering his ouster from power by supporting the then opposition’s no-confidence motion in April this year.
In an interview with Financial Times, Imran signalled a desire to work with Washington saying he wants to mend relations with the US despite accusing it of treating Pakistan as a ‘slave’.

Trade suspended at Chaman border after deadly shooting
QUETTA: The Pak-Afghan border at Chaman has been closed for an indefinite period after an armed man from the Afghan side opened fire on Pakistani security personnel at Friendship Gate, resulting in the martyrdom of one soldier and leaving two others wounded on Sunday.
Official sources said that Pakistani and Afghan forces exchanged fire for more than an hour following the incident, with reports that five personnel from the Afghan side were killed and 14 others were injured in the gun battle. Seven of the injured were shifted to Kandahar hospital, according to the reports pouring in from across the Afghan border.
The closure of border soon after the incident caused suspension of trade, including the Afghan transit trade, between the two countries.

Pakistan will be among the first recipients of funding from a G7 'Global Shield' initiative to provide funding to countries suffering climate disasters, the programme announced on Monday at the COP27 summit in Egypt.
The Global Shield, coordinated by G7 president Germany, aims to provide rapid access for climate-vulnerable countries to insurance and disaster protection funding after floods or drought. It is being developed in collaboration with the 'V20' group of 58 climate vulnerable economies.
A statement issued by Germany on Monday listed Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Fiji, Ghana, Pakistan, the Philippines and Senegal as some of the initial recipients of Global Shield packages.
