US think tank urges Biden to call PM Shehbaz to 'reset ties' with Pakistan
WASHINGTON: A US think tank called Brookings has urged US President Joe Biden to call Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, suggesting he "reset ties with Pakistan", Dawn News reported.

According to Dawn, one of the writers of the report — Bruce Riedel — was an adviser to the Clinton and Obama administrations and is also close to the current Democratic set-up in Washington. The other writer is Madiha Afzal who is a fellow at the Centre for Middle East policy.

The writers argued in the paper: "The end of American involvement in Afghanistan and the change in leadership in Pakistan presents the United States with an opportunity to reset its long-troubled relationship with the world’s fifth-most populous country."

It looks so strange that for loss of few teachers the PM and his entire top cabinet ministers went to Iron brother’s embassy for condolences and got orders from Madam Ambassador on what to do next.
Americans in spite of giving away billions of $s and flashy toys never got this kind of royal moaning for their losses.

Even a vassal state would have retained some levels of H&D to avoid this level of group boot licking. Land of Paxi are not even a vassal state to Cheen they became far less than that.

Dimran May be half right about this being an imported government but not an US import it is a Chinese import.

For me it looks like the entire drama of change of government is one big con to get more money from gullible IMF and West to pay interest on Chinese loans.

Note: Both Gober Times and Yawn reported on this. Not worth to share links here.

Even for an inbred, half-brained paki the current sentiments in Turkey against Pakis should tell them how wrong they've been to think they are the ******** progeny of turks/arabs/mongols/someday soon the chinese. Your average Turk is a wannabe white european, the last thing they want is to build a imaginary historic, genetic, cultural bridge with poverty stricken, jihadi celebrating, illiterate, inbred munafiqs like pakis. Pakis are treated the same way in gulf countries too but yet the half wits think the shiekh is one of their real abbas. So what made the turks set social media platforms ablaze in their hatred for pakis ?

As pakistan sinks deeper and deeper into financial abyss, more and more pakis from all walks of life are fleeing to Europe/US/Canada and whatever country is willing to allow them. Those heading to Europe use Turkey as a base to make some money working menial jobs so they can pay the human smugglers to take them to Europe. Thousands of 20 something pakis brainwashed by 'Ertugrul' think Turkey is some modern day caliphate, when they land there they see westernized turkish women are far from Halime Hatun and instead dressed in figure hugging mini skirts, enjoy cocktails and go about their daily lives without the need of a male to escort them everywhere. Even the actress who played Halime Hatun is busy doing lingerie ads for Victoria's Secret than wrapped in a black tent from head to toe ! Disappointed the pakiness instantly comes out in form of cellphone cameras , stalking women on streets/subways and uploading videos to tiktok/youtube. The first miscalculation is thinking turks have some sort of brotherly love towards pakis, the second mistake is stalking turkish women and the biggest mistake is thinking turks are like your average gutless europeans steeped in political correctness ! The turks are tearing the pakis a new one and pakis now think there is a RAA agenda here too ! The irony is the same pakis few years ago started a fake social media campaign to get Indians working in the middle east into trouble with the local authorities. Karma, she dog and all that.

Pakistan rebel group warns China of harsher attacks
Baloch Liberation Army threatens Beijing with ‘even harsher’ attacks unless China halts ‘exploitation projects’ in Pakistan.
27 Apr 2022

A Pakistan separatist group on Wednesday warned of more violent attacks on Chinese targets, a day after a suicide bomber killed three Chinese teachers posted from Beijing to the southern city of Karachi.
The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack which killed three Chinese teachers and a Pakistani driver near the gate of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi.
A female bomber detonated explosives next to their minibus.
“Hundreds of highly trained male and female members of the Baloch Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade are ready to carry out deadly attacks in any part of Balochistan and Pakistan,” a spokesman for the group, Jeeyand Baloch, said in a statement published in English.
The spokesman threatened Beijing with “even harsher” attacks unless China halts “exploitation projects” and “occupying of the Pakistani state”.
Chinese nationals and business and investment interests have regularly been targeted by separatists in Balochistan, where Beijing is involved in lucrative mining and energy projects. Baloch separatist fighters have been fighting for a greater share of their province’s natural resources for decades, mostly focusing attacks on natural gas projects, infrastructure and the security forces.

Fear rears its ugly head as stench of charred bodies envelopes Karachi University
“It’s a shame that teachers were targeted like this,” remarks Karachi Police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon.
Shahzeb Ahmed, April 26, 2022

The rusty smell of blood and burned flesh inflames the nostrils before you even see the ill-fated 16-seater Toyota Hiace, now up in flames at the entrance of the Confucius Institute at Karachi University.
Moments ago, on an otherwise usual Tuesday, a powerful explosion had ripped through the vehicle carrying faculty members and the institute’s director for their 2:30pm lectures.
At least two female faculty members were killed on the spot, as was the director and the van’s driver — three of them Chinese nationals — their bodies charred beyond recognition. A fourth Chinese national was injured. What remained of the bodies lay wrapped in shrouds in Chippa ambulances a few metres up the road.
The rescue workers had tried their best to piece together the victims, taking care to wrap the different body parts of each individual. In one of the ambulances, a blackened stump that looked like it had once been a foot, protruded from a shroud. In another, there was an extra leg that seemed unaccounted for. At the site, a gutted motorcycle — part of the teachers’ security detail — lay a few steps behind the van, no longer recognisable after its paint and seats had melted away. The two Rangers personnel riding the motorcycle had apparently been shifted to the Patel hospital in an injured condition.
Strict security regimen
Established in 2013 as part of a partnership between the University of Karachi and the Sichuan Normal University in China, the Confucius Institute aimed to “deepen international understanding of Chinese language and culture, and promoting people-to-people exchanges between China and Pakistan”. Since its inception, however, the faculty members — who were mostly Chinese nationals — had remained under threat and had to follow strict security protocols. While they lived in a guest house on campus, they were escorted by a security detail to the institute and back every day. Security personnel even escorted them to classrooms and frisked each student before allowing them to enter, said one student.
Only last month, the campus security had written a letter to the institute’s director, raising concerns over the Chinese faculty members’ movements outside campus, and urging him to ensure they travelled only when accompanied by their security detail. On Tuesday, their van had just arrived at the institute’s gate — security detail in tow — a little after 2pm when calamity struck.
Chaotic scenes
Almost an hour later, scores of security personnel — police, Rangers and authoritative men in civilian clothes with walkie talkies — manned the perimeter that had been cordoned off around the site. The fire had by now been doused, even though wisps of smoke arose from melting plastic that lay strewn several feet apart from what remained of the van.

It s good, such radicalisation makes those children unfit for the real world when they grow up, Pakistan should have only Madrassa educated types, so they dont understand artillery tables or how maintain/fly fighter aircraft. They will always hate us and such stupidity helps us.

The iron brother is still being asked to make more investments even as the blothels on the ground are getting blown up in TSP.
China asked to finance ML-I project
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday again requested China to consider financing the single largest China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project – the $6.8 billion Mainline-I (ML-I) project – after the Railways Ministry disclosed that Beijing was not willing to fund the scheme due to objections over the approved cost.
Iqbal also assured the Chinese diplomat that his government would resolve issues of a delay in payments of Rs300 billion to Chinese independent power plants (IPPs), which led to shutting down 1,980 megawatts generation capacity.

Miss Pang assured Iqbal that her government would consider the proposal to fund the ML-I project during the review meetings, said an official of the ministry.

These days the ubiquitous Google chacha available on Paki phones has made this clue somewhat less reliable for detecting Pakiness.

Google corrects the Paki spelling in ways that are relatively Paki-proof, as in
We could not find any results for "Bjwa Try Ter". Did you mean "Bajwa Traitor"?
So we will have to rely more on the ability to frame grammatical sentences of complex (i.e., more than two words') length.

Not just any 2 members of the current cabinet, one of them was Maryam Nawaz Sharif ! The saudi security personnel had a tough time keeping the paki loonies at bay from the two burkha clad mohatarmas. Atleast as per twitterati , Saudi authorities have begun arresting pakis who were involved in the ruckus, and few of the arrested are members of Immy's PTI.

In other news, the Dy Speaker who played a role in the recent no confidence motion drama was roughed up physically by PML people in Islamabad. Never a dull moment in al bakistan !

No change in position from India. ouch.
‘Our position is simple’: India explains why Delhi hasn’t revised stand on Pak
India on Thursday condemned the suicide bombing in the Pakistani port city of Karachi that killed four people, including Chinese nationals, and stressed the need for countries to take an “undifferentiated position against terrorism”.
“Our stance against all forms of terrorism anywhere has been steadfast and consistent. This particular incident only underlines the need for all countries to take an undifferentiated position against terrorism,” Bagchi said. He made it clear that countries cannot condone some terrorist attacks and condemn others.
In response to another question, Bagchi said there had been no change in India’s position on engaging with the Pakistan government following the change in the leadership of the neighbouring country. Veteran Pakistani politician Shehbaz Sharif was elected the prime minister after Imran Khan lost the position in a vote of no confidence in Parliament.

“Our position is very simple – there should be an atmosphere free of terrorism, in which talks can be held,” Bagchi said. Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi had “exchanged courtesy letters” but there has been no change in India’s position, he said.

“Our main issue is an atmosphere free of terrorism – it is a justified demand,” he added.

Videos of ‘Pakistani perverts’ cause outrage on social media in Turkey
ANI, 23 April, 2022

New Delhi [India], April 23 (ANI): “Pakistani Perverts” and “Pakistani Get Out” hashtags were spotted on social media platforms of Turkey after several videos emerged purportedly showing Pakistani men sharing inappropriate videos of women and children on TikTok.
In a series of tweets, Rezvani, an engineer at Technical University of Catalonia, explained how these videos of Pakistani men have caused outrage in the country and have cascaded onto TV and print media.
Pakistani men living in Turkey reportedly shared videos where they can be seen stalking Turkish women walking on the street.
“The harassment videos of Afghan and Pakistani perverts are endless! This time, a Pakistani pervert videotaped the women working in the market and shared it on TikTok. He mocked the cashier by throwing coins from afar,” Rezvani quoted a Turkish news portal as saying.
“In Turkey, ‘Pakistani Perverts’ and ‘Pakistani Get Out’ are trending in social media and everything is cascading onto TV and print media as well,” he said in another tweet.
Rezvani said genuine Afghan refugees will pay the price for these Pakistani men’s behaviour. “An average Turk couldn’t tell an Afghan from a Pakistani.”
He said that there’s a good chance these Pakistani men will face extradition to Turkey to stand trial.

During the month of Ramadan, the UAE government cracked down on beggars and arrested a number of Pakistanis who had come to collect donations.

The UAE government says police have arrested 178 beggars during Ramadan this year, including 134 men and 44 women.

Among the beggars are 97 Pakistanis who are in police custody and under the law will be jailed for three years and fined 5,000 dirhams each.

The UAE government says it has arrested 30 beggars with US and Western visas in their passports, acknowledging that begging is a business venture and that they travel on round-the-clock visas and collect donations.

Failure to cover PM’s Lahore visit costs PTV officials their jobs
The state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) has suspended 17 officials for failing to ensure ‘proper’ coverage of PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Lahore visit on the channel last week.

Strangely, the broadcast failure was due to the non-availability of an advanced laptop required to upload the video footage through file transfer protocol (FTP).
:rotfl: FTP was around since 1971

Yawn - Crops likely to suffer as water crisis boils over
The country’s persistent water crisis has taken a turn for the worse, as the cumulative river supplies dipped to 97,000 cubic feet per second (cusecs) on Saturday, taking the national shortage to a whopping 51 per cent against the 29pc calculated previously.

“The Saturday shortage would translate into irrigation supplies in the next 5 to 7 days in Punjab and 10 to 12 days in Sindh, playing havoc with cotton sowing, sugarcane and the entire range of the Kharif crops,” said an official of the Punjab irrigation department.

“It also means no water for final watering of wheat and cotton sowing,” he said. “In practical terms, it means pressure on food security (wheat) and major cash (cotton) crop and hence the country’s 70pc foreign exchange. Building new reservoirs is the only solution left for Pakistan to avoid slow financial death and an impending hunger crisis.”
