this discussions and forums are too funny to the outsiders, its easily forgotten that one experiment has been made -no product has been either identified or proven. we are talking about almost 20 more years of development time in the meanwhile pakis will sneak bombs on mules or jihadi's backs

still people are jumping up and down as if india is missile-proofed forever based on one experiment

no matter how successful the experiment was or what kind of hardware/software has been proven missile defense is difficult to develop and easy to defeat

so enjoy the champagne and stop arguing amongst each other

How do you decrease the lethality of a missile? How do you rationally measure 'lethality' - Is it accuracy, speed, warhead TNT equivalent ...or as in Lahorilogic, how big, tall and green it is. How can you decrease that to make it a controlled environment. Stop making a fool of yourself, you do not know anything (which is okay, most of us do not know enough) but you are acting all knowledgeable (and sadly it shows you are not). So grow up, get off your ego trip. As someone mentioned, this is not a nukkad where yoy say and accuse people or organization without thinking through the allegation. Prithvi is not a vaccine, of which you can take a less lethal dose.

Common Fanne. You are so intelligent and you don't know how to decrease the lethality. It is very easy. Start experimenting with Diwali crackers and extapolate it to Prithvi and Agni. It is that simple. :)

I am and my whole family is an Indian I would never generalize such thing, even unconciously.
Good you put that "Interpretation error" message on top, I got confused by your logic stream "Armed forces are liars", "DRDO are liars" etc. And then suddenly "ACM Tyagi speaks the truth, though he belongs to the group of liars called Armed forces".

JCage's "War on Error" when it comes to DRDO news seems to be not effective enough

The Indian Defense Ministry announced Monday it had completed what it described as a successful test of anti-ballistic missiles off the Orissa coast. All Headline news reported From New Delhi that M. Natarajan, the scientific adviser to the Indian defence minister, told The Hindu newspaper, "With this, India has acquired the capability of air defense against the incoming ballistic missile threat. It is a significant milestone in the missile defense of the country."

"There was a lot of not only hardware but also software custom-built for this mission. They have been validated, and that is our greatest satisfaction," Natarajan told the newspaper. "The credit should go to the whole team."

Indian military officials said a target Prithvi-II missile was fired from the Integrated Test Range near Balasore. It was destroyed over the Bay of Bengal by an ABM interceptor rocket launched from Wheeler Island 40m miles away.
