Arun,

Something interesting from Rajiv's link: "The missile is said to have a diameter of 18.2 m." For sure the DDM meant length there. The number seems too precise to have been pulled from the DDM's musharaff.

The A-3 looks Damn Majestic , I just hope we get to see the video of the launch , This beauty should have a terrific boost phase acceleration , something that would be a treat for our eyes to watch it in all her glory

Shiv,

Ahh ... I did not think of it that way. You are probably correct. In hind sight, that is not too surprising: I am still waiting on the 200 cm diameter Trishul.

Congrats to DRDO, and to the GoI for having the balls to do the test. I suspect that DRDO may have had some help from ISRO in this development.
We need Surya next.

From China Town
India's current crop of missiles are mostly intended for confronting neighboring archrival Pakistan. The Agni III, in contrast, is India's longest-range missile, designed to reach 3,000 kilometers (1,900 miles) _ putting China's major cities well into range, as well as targets deep in the Middle East.
