I think it was a general point that we were NOT deterred by the fact the media claimed he launched the Pulwama attack because we took out one of his relations. It was a direct point that if need be, we will keep hitting Jaish.

Many countries would have already moved their MIL satellites over the conflict zone so there will be credible battle damage assessment is already available.

ISRO also will not be sleeping and they also would have credible BDA data available for realistic assessment.

They know they elimnated them and that too a large number and did not use any hedging -- no fudging around this by saying estimated to eliminated etc? How do they know? Do overflights confirm these by body count? etc

PM and Sec Force crew have played this like a virtuoso, struck with absolute effectiveness and then the press conference portrays us as unwilling folks who were forced into striking Pak terrorists not Pak civilians, not Pak military, and hence playing to the international gallery about resolute action only against terrorists. No bragging or breast beating by GOI, so Pak can't even claim that we did this out of a vested interest. So if Pak now attempts to retaliate with its military against the Indian state, for an op targeted at only terrorists, they are in deep doo doo, perception wise. And we have still kept the window open to continue attacking the Pak terror apparatus, which the Pakis are unwilling to touch.

We have been patient beyond belief in that Pak would tone down its terror for better relations over the last 15 years.Both UPA and NDA govts. made very meaningful gestures from ABVs bus diplomacy to our PM's swearing in ceremony inviting the leaders of our neighbours, plus wishing Nawaz on his b'day in person!
What was the result? A betrayal of our friendship.
It appears that to make the Pakis behave, every now and then they need their noses bloodied , teeth smashed in and their backsides royally rogered.They must suffer pain of the most intense nature affecting their uniformed scum to such an extent that they soil their pants and run to the international community begging for succour.
