People's Conference chairman Sajad Gani Lone Tuesday said the air strikes carried out by the Indian Air Force on terror camps in Pakistan will set a benchmark for deterrence and eventually end the cycle of violence. "Pacifist to the core I am. But the reality as it stares in our faces is that this retaliatory action will actually be the start of the unlearning process for Pakistan. This will set the benchmark for deterrence. And eventually crowd out cycle of violence," Lone said in a tweet.

If strikes were conducted using standoff weapons, it's probable that only satellite images can help with damage assessment. I hope Sat was lined up to coincide with the strikes before Porkies can wipe it under the rug.

There's only one attack in Pakistan. The other two attacks are inside Indian territory of "Pakistan occupied Kashmir".

There was some fear that after US exit from Afganistan more jihadi rats will try to enter JK.. This strike will serve big detterence to these scumbags.. Also I think this will deter local kashmiri wannabees from joining LeT and JeM.. World is watching true rise of a superpower.. Party time..

Jihadis across bakistan now know that they are nakkid and exposed from the air. That message too would percolate to the mango jihadis.

The next option for the baki army is to shelter them inside their own bases with air defence cover, etc.

So far I have seen that India has hesitated to use air-elements in our counter insurgency doctrine.

Do we think that their involvement will attract anti-air armaments to the valley, or will put a bulls eye on IAF? And now since we have acted against these groups using IAF, will it open usage of armed helis/aircraft in counter insurgency operations?

Joyous day today! My heartfelt gratitude to all those involved from the top to the bottom.

Just noticed on the India-TV channel that the Paki Parliament is in session and they have a free-for-all going "Shame... Shame" etc. Didn't follow all the details but unlike in the case of the earlier SS, this time there seems to be a more open and transparent wailing from our friendly neighbors. What's the difference? Is it just that Bajwa's guys have not been publicly cut down?

I wish the IAF used its stock of BL755 CBU's that weigh 450 kg (1000 lbs) each with 147 submunitions and 205,800 anti personnel shrapnel. A single Jaguar can carry 8 of these. Perfect for taking on terrorist camps.

This one carries normal 1000 lbs bombs but BL755 is similar in weight and dimension

The Mirage 2000 also carries Belouga dispensers that flies standoff

All perfect for taking out the terrorist dormitories.

The technology for pest control existed long ago, its only now that we're getting permission.

Modi gov raised the bar enormously high by calling this pre-emptive strike. Which means going forward there need not be a terror strike for to hit pakis. We can do it preemptively.

republic tv claims agra, halwara, gwalior and bhatinda bases involved. a trial run of sorts was done on feb24 between bhatinda to agra.

anyways I am pretty sure that PAF was highly alert and did send up atleast 4-8 fighters from gilgit down to pindi. but probably some 12-16 sukhois were stacked up on india side in the dark night from 20,000ft to 40,000ft, backed by a phalcon and seeing the 'tactical situation' the PAF made the decision not to interfere just as they stayed out of abbotabad and only marched in once the seals had left. then the flag marches and sonic booms started.

If Bakis have any shame left, they will declare war on India immediately. Actual fighting can happen later.
No "martial" nation would allow 300/400 of its non-soldier soldiers to be killed by an Air-Attack which never happened.

looking at flightradar24 the entire airspace north of islamabad has been closed to civilian airlines.
rest of it looks normal and even air india flights to europe are flying as usual over TSP further south.

whoever is flying there is transponders all turned off.
