Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
Don't we have any AA guns/missiles at LoC? While I don't have any issue with Mig-21 taking on F-16(do remember that IAF had already practiced and surprised the US F-16s in an excercise few years back), its just that it felt like they walked into a trap which could have been avoided. My concern is more that the pakis will feel they retaliated, and will continue their behavior. The whole idea of hitting Balakot was to increase cost for pakis. If we stop now , we lose that advantage.

Yes. You don't get the serious nature of the thread. Mods are hard pressed and you want to argue. It's taking five tries to post a message. We have over 500 guests logging in and you want to display ego.
We have other crisis to work on.
Ok will ban you permanent as others want to be good guys. Later you can be reinstated. Or not as you wish.

Possible. I did not watch the speech but just went by your summary. Theek hai.chandrasekaran wrote:Nope, you are not getting the message. He said the same about our PM too. Essentially putting the blame on hardliners. Expect our peaceniks to fall for this one more time and put enormous pressure on GoI to get the wing commander back by de-escalating.

Government has responsibility , Journalist dont , So any action taken by GOI has been very measured and restrained in many ways.
Lets keep our faith in GOI to take any decision in best interest of our country...not withstanding war mongering by Jurnos

TSP has not yet opened its airspace to transit flights but a couple of tsp->outbound flights are in the air.
over india, a vast stream of international traffic is being rerouted via the ahmedabad/mumbai ATC in a V shape toward the gulf

It says Pak pilot captured , handed to police
If true this is big news

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
This is just speculation. "I think what the IAF pilot might have done in combat". There is no point in speculating like this.Aditya_V wrote:I dont think the Bisons did not end up using BVR R77, they probably went for a peace time protocol of identifying the intruder before engaging, lets see on how we respond.
PAF today has identified it will engage India as response to attacks on ISI, can leave it at this, should probably attack PA tonight and lure the PAF in.
A few points:
1). Which paki fighter shot down not known. GoI statement only says 1 aircraft shot down.
2). 1 Mig-21 Bison shot down. It was not a trainer, but Bison variant. Not known if shot down due to ground fire and air to air combat.
Door for further escalation left wide open by GoI. There will certainly be some kind of retaliation. When, where and how is to be seen.
Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
At this juncture we should not only feel proud but also make the family of those killed/ captured feel proud for the purpose these people have gone in knowing fully well the cost involved. They are doing their part. Let's not ??? The wisdom/ gyan and resolve of our leadership in defending our mother land. This is the kind of weakness people look out to exploit. If it a war it will be bloody and will need lot of sacrifice.

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
video on handle of @mandeepbajwa. IAF pilot landed safely near a stream. Then Paki locals started punching & kicking him.
Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
IF .. one goes by that logic was PAF *shallow* foray was a trap to lure IAF, then the GOI's declaration that "PAF targeting military assets" is preparing ground for escalation.

someone please edit manjgu's post.

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
No, anything but. He got his retaliation to appeal to his domestic dunces, Imran is strong, see, see...and now he is passing the buck to the military. The man, I must admit, is a shrewd slimy opportunist, not just a puppet, he got what he wanted and is now going to hunker down in his bunker.pankajs wrote:The latest version of old baki style bargaining by pointing the piston to its own head.chandrasekaran wrote:Pak PM is now saying if a war breaks out it will not be "in his" control anymore. I hope India escalates this big time. Want to see hell's fury unleashed over Pakistan!
Has he lost control of *his* Military?
Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
Better bunker than a lamppost.
Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
Quick comment- it is good that they showed a video of the pilot alive and well (man handled or otherwise). This means that he is a POW and they are responsible for him now.
Recall that during Kargil there was no video released of Sqn leader Ahuja ..... but there was one Flt. Lt. of Nachiketa .....he finally came back.

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
If a mig21 whipped ass of a f16, it will be remembered for a long long time.
What are options for India from here. MEA conference keeps everyone guessing - right stuff, even if we are not going to escalate (even though jingo in me wants escalation). But surprise is the best element. During SS1, we surprised them on land. We did that during SS2 by air.
We could even keep paf engaged in needless sorties and thin their aviation fuel dumps. Keep arranging the forces on our side of border and get them to play catchup as they try to match our formations. For a country down to last $8billion reserves ( well you know thats less that the value of a 10 year startup in India like Ola), attrition is costly.
While pak is playing catchup - stun them again somewhere.and how?

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
Request to everyone please not to post information related to military movements. Without meaning to sound paranoid, lots of Pakis browse this site and triangulation of poster IP addresses with physical locations is possible.
Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
i would order strikes on skardu...demolish the damn thing...and ask PAF to come up... clear up threat to Leh etc . Any news on the chopper. Should not take long to establish if it was a stinger type missile. Would not there be parts of the missile, shapenel holes on the chopper.

RaKits ... the latest Pinaka can be tested to its full range. Area saturation attach over a suitable target? How about an airfield full of F-16s?

That looks like a f-16 on the patch. Bakis claimed non involvement of f-16.chola wrote:Pakis are claiming a MiG-21 and a MKI on twitter:

Rely only on official sources for information, otherwise you would have people asking what is the status of the sialkot conflict. GOI presser said 1mia,unless further stated that is his status.
