Pakistan's radars were jammed by IAF during airstrike at Balakot

The Indian package had at least two jets mounted with electronic warfare (EW) system that helped jam the Pakistani radars. A "package" in military terms refers to grouping of various types of jets with different functions. A package typically consists of EW jets, the bombers and the protector jets that secure the bombers from enemy jets as bombers themselves are not in a position to effectively retaliate thanks to heavy payload.

IAF's air strikes on JeM camps in Pakistan a measure of Narendra Modi's political maturity and strategic pragmatism

https://www.firstpost.com/india/iafs-ai ... 57911.html
Just as the Indian Army commandos who conducted surgical strikes in September 2016 returned safely to their base, the Director General of Military Operation (DGMO) called his counterpart in Pakistan and informed him about the action against terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). Though the Pakistani DGMO was aware of the situation by then, he asked the Indian Army official not reveal the details and casualty figures in his media briefing. In the day’s briefing, the Indian Army official, accompanied by an MEA spokesman, neither revealed the details nor shared the casualty figures. The reason for this unseemly request from the Pakistani side was apparent. Pakistan's Army establishment desperately needed a space to wiggle out of this crisis and deny any raids. As expected, Pakistan did exactly that.

Paki tweeter jingos reporting PA tanks running over 10 indian posts.. I think they are hallucinating after getting sodomised
Re: Indian Air Forces Strikes Pakistan along with Ground Assault
There are no tank battles. Lahore seem fine. Might be some CFV with the usual machine happening..
PA seems to have lost the trust of PAF, but cannot conduct any armor thrust without air support..
So would be heavy CFV. So far no reports of big boys... the 155MM coming to the game.
But our guys in J&K are in high alert..

Many frontiers were crossed monuments taken down
Biggest is air strike on.Terrorist camps in Pak and not just PoK.
Swaraj Singh had negotiated in 1968 no fixed wing aircraft crossing LOC.
Next is the plentiful.use of LGBs to cause maximum damage to targets.
To me a huge one is the Israeli SPICE 2000 usage at Balakot.
It sends multiple messages.
Reflect why this was used?
It's a bunker busters.
What needed it's usage?
Most likely an ammo magazine with thick walls.
What does it mean big picture wise?
All such magazines, storage facilities are all risky from IAF attack.
No wonder the NCA is meeting in Islumabad.
For all saying Pak will escalate, with what?
Any war means they are terrorists supporter.
Not happening. IAF just finished VS 2019.
All Western.command on.high alert.
What can happen.is terrorist attacks in non BJP ruled states. All the DGPs were alerted by Rajnath Singh. And ATS are waiting.
So relax and stop lingo shivering and FUD.

Weather in balakot looks to be cloudy with patches of rain for next few days. I was looking forward to see the flattened ground from sat images in the future. How much hope do we have on that front before pakis cover it up ?

"Our air force was ready but it was dark...". This has to be the statement of year. Reminds of Bihar topper: "hum to papa se pass karane ko kahe the, woh to top hi kara diye"

We must have some foot on the ground to confirm Intel, specially high value assets. Battle damage assessment will come in one way or another.gauravsh wrote:Weather in balakot looks to be cloudy with patches of rain for next few days. ISPR can keep on giving Comical Ali level news briefs, but they have zero credibility.

I think Use of Mirage 2000 is also significant as it is our original nuke delivery platform.. This gives them right message.. am I overthinking?
Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
I changed the title to Indian Forces Strike Pakistan Terrorist Camps.
Yes air force delivered the ordnance but lot of joint preparation in identifying, locating terrorists was needed.
Want to include all resources.

Arnab mentioned an interesting point. The same M2K that delivered the bombs in 1999, delivered in 2019. So in the intervening 20 years what was the difference/issue/problem?
Political Will was his conclusion. And rightly so.
This was due at a minimum for the last 10 years, since 26/11.
This is one of the many options reserved for the Jihadis of PAK (shalwaris, uniformed & uninformed ones).

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
I think it’s wishful thinking among Paki Jingos combined with deep-state types trying to salvage some H&D.Bart S wrote:Could be targeted misdirection on the part of the enemy.khan wrote:Lots of noise on Twitter about Sialkot, but nothing anywhere else. Very strange.
There will be someone to blame for this, and I think it will be some ISI officers who authorized or knew of the suicide bombing without checking with regular PA & PAF to make sure they were ready to deal with relataion - not that they were expected to, but someone has to be held responsible for some reason and shit always rolls downhill. Bajwa sure as hell isnt going to own this.
So, Paki Jingos and the deep state people are all desperately hoping that there will some H&D salvation, and this Sialkot PR campaign seems to be some combination of wishful thinking and an attempt to pressure PA into doing something.
To me, all this Twitter activity smells like an on orchestrated intelligence operation - a lot like the Russian troll factories that influenced the 2016 US elections.

https://twitter.com/ZaidZamanHamid/stat ... 8116299788 ---> I am in contact with PAF pilots who are full of passion & rage to attack the Indians...but the rules of engagement is holding them back...many times they lock their missiles on to Indian jets & then lock off...both sides are flying very hostile CAPs in very close proximity.

Rakesh & Bart, they may be pilots and they may be "locking" and "unlocking" their mijjiles at very high rate as they type on Twitter, and they may be "flying" high but not on planes. Someone could point this out, pls?

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps
Congrats to the IAF for conducting a flawless op! Been happy all day with the news and reading the moronic comments of the tactically brilliant pakis...
After the dust settles from SS2, it would be great if we can see how exactly Indian weaponry, both domestic and foreign, was able to ‘overcome’ the amazing Chinese maal that the pakis have.
It would serve to chaadi utaro Chinese claims of superiority and can help the development of a future ‘Brand India’ for weapons.
Really happy to see netra in action! It’s such a damn cool aircraft!

4 AJK civilians dead, 11 wounded in 'indiscriminate' Indian shelling across LoC

Hours after their violation of the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan, Indian troops on Tuesday evening resorted to indiscriminate shelling from across the dividing line, leaving at least four civilians dead and 11 others wounded in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), officials said.
The machinegun, mortar and artillery shelling began at about 5:30pm simultaneously in Kotli, Bhimber and Poonch districts and was "intense and indiscriminate", with civilians being ruthlessly targeted by Indian forces without any provocation, officials added. The Kotli district was the worst hit area as all four of its sectors sharing the LoC came under heavy attack, according to deputy commissioner Dr Umer Azam.
According to Dr Azam, one of the shells fell on a house in Mohra Dharoti village of Nakyal sector and as a result, a woman and her two children were killed and another three children wounded. He identified the deceased as Motiyan Begum, 55, Zarina, 20, and Gulfraz, 8, and the injured family members as Umar Farooq, 18, Sarfraz, 13, and Sagheer, 7. Elsewhere in the same sector, 15-year-old Umer Mushtaq, Abdul Rahman, 40, Shamim Akhtar, 41 were injured in Saloor Tarkundi village and Khaqan, 40, in Balakot village, the deputy commissioner added.
In Khuiratta sector of the same district, Shehnaz Begum, 40, lost her life, while Adnan Aslam and his sister Sumera Aslam, and Munir Begum were injured in Khanpur Seri village. Shelling was also taking place in Tattapani and parts of Charhoi sectors, but no casualties were immediately reported from there, Azam said. "Since shelling is continuing intermittently, the casualties may go up … Once the guns fall silent we will be able to ascertain the exact details of losses," he said.
