Analyzing this photo posted in RohitVats's twitter page supposedly from Budgam, this is a MANPADS smoke trail with undulations caused by missile oscillations due to bang bang seeker control.

AAM's have thicker smoke trails.

The Mi-17 was hit by a terrorist MANPADS.

There are graphic photos of the crew's charred bodies that the Pakistanis & Islamists are circulating on twitter that needs to blocked immediately. Can someone help do that?

This picture is from a place close to crash site in Budgam - this, to me, looks like a missile trail. Either, an air-to-air missile fired from PAF fighter or a man-portable, surface to air missile (MANPAD).

Still no official word from India. Lets wait for the official government briefing to figure our what exactly is going on.
The paki lie about Mig-21s being shot down seems to be just that....a good 'ol paki lie.
With regards to the F16 going down, lots of conflicting stories. Downed in friendly fire, downed by ground fire from India, downed by Su-30?

Unless there is official confirmation, its difficult to say. The media is behaving like typical dorks in the race to be the first to report a breaking story.
Everyone seems to be going to town with their own version.
Also with regards to the Mi-17 crash, official version will clear the reason for the crash. Some reports have mentioned, that the helicopter broke into 2 pieces while crashing. Don't know, if a technical glitch would cause this. Sabotage also cannot be ruled out.

One thing is for sure. As the pakis have chosen to respond, there if going to be more action in the days to come. We should have been able to predict this. Even in 1998, the pakis could have milked the US into giving them more aid and couple dozen F16s as reward for not detonating nuclear bombs. The generals instead chose to go overtly nuclear and get sanctioned. They are brainwashed into committing suicide rather then being sane and possibly live a prosperous life.
I say lets keep the pot boiling and draining the paki resources as fast as we can. The beggars will be penniless before we know it. They will have to resort to unlimited printing of currency, just to pay their military salaries and stay afloat.
Maximum pressure should be put on the likes of Saudi and UAE about giving free oil etc. to the pakis. Just warn them, to stay away, till the dust settles.
By the time the dust settles, paki land will be broke.

Because it is relevant to know what "Official" sources in the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in this case their ISPR and Foreign Ministry are saying. Be assured I will also post statements from my country, India's "Official" sources when they have something to say and if that is already not already posted here. DGISPR having a press conference and repeating claim about IAF pilot shot down. They’re showing pics of pilots belongings. It would be very foolish for them to go out and announce this without having the pilot. Hope God gives strength to IAF pilots.

^Tactical brilliance of Bakistan is known. Just be careful on what you believe from "Official" Baki sources. It is war and Bakis are winning the social media war. Grab from video going viral from Pakistan, claimed be a captured IAF pilot. NO official word on this. Await confirmations/denials. So far only source-based denials of anything shot down or anyone captured from IAF. Please wait.
Careful! Too much misinformation to conclude definitely anything.
