Irrespective ... a terrain map will show ingress was neccesary. You can't drop these from the aircraft's maximum altitude but from the TV seekers ability to see & correlate image. It's fine in Israel..not so in Himalayas

The same thing that happened to statements like '1 Pakistani soldier is better than 10 Indian soldiers' and 'we are the descendants of Genghis Khan'. Tested in battle with results for all to see.

We should now be on the lookout for (i) terrorist attacks in heartland India (big metros and cities) targetting civilians, carried out by some 'homegrown' Jihadi organisation and (ii) BAT actions along vulnerable posts on the LC - typically resulting in a few fatalities with the obligatory beheadings. We should deliver a karara jawab for (ii) by obliterating pre agreed targets in the vicinity of the posts. In case of (i) however i'm not sure we have the capacity we had in the 80s to strike Lahore, Pindi, Multan and Karachi.

Sources: Believe it or not, the Mirage 2000s used in these attacks did not include some of the HAL upgraded variants. These were essentially the same jets which bombed Tiger Hill during the Kargil war albeit updated with new weapons.

Makes sense. These fighters still have a very credible EW suite, have received all sorts of new missiles.

A C130 just took off from Murid Airbase heading north at 11000 ft. A Saab 2000 is heading south at 12000 ft - both near Khewra Pakjab

One hopes Indian TV channels don't have a flurry( or any preferably) of Pakistani guests being asked where was Pakistan's AF, when will they retaliate, what can we expect etc. No need for that. So a friend from the area has confirmed that madressa Taleem-ul-Quran (it’s board says run by Hazrat Maulana Masood Azhar) at Mansehra (Balakot) was hit, & there are ~10 ambulances around. But the area is now sealed. Local students told him, ziada nahi marai bachatt hogae.
