What a soldier!!!
May he attain Moksha.
He has done more in this lifetime then many of us in a 100 lifetimes.
I think India should honor these three Field Marshals with statues near India Gate in the cardinal directions with the fourth statue of the Unknown soldier.
That would transition the memorial to the modern India.
There is a canopy right next to India Gate which had a statue of some Brit king. IIt could be a nice place for these Indian heroes.
I have grown up with a somewhat fading black & white framed photograph from the late 60s of a MiG-21 on the tarmac, with a short personal inscription and a signature. The inscription and the signature were by the then CAS, ACM Arjan Singh, after his first solo sortie on a MiG-21. The inscription was addressed to the Scorpios flight commander at AFB Hindon (also later a CAS) who had given ACM Arjan Singh his "dual check" before clearing him for his first solo sortie in a MiG-21.
