Paki news reports state Karachi attack caused damage of Paki Rs. 30 billion which = USD 354m. By contrast, the 26/11 attack payout was ~USD 100m & that was a MUCH BIGGER attack. Madarasa math at work or am I missing something?

The problem in Pakistan is that the Fauj thinks that they can control everything.

Reality is that it was these charismatic leaders, ZA Bhutto, then BB and then Nawaz, who's charisma crossed the states that held pakistan together.

The Pak fauj is least suited to hold the nation together as they will discover, they are overwhelmingly Punjabi and are a closed kabila of bhai-bhatijawaad (nepotism). If appropriate fissures are deepened, that country will split off simply because the fauj will not let the netas do the job, the fauj has killed off any charismatic neta who could control the issue, and the fauj itself is ill equipped to handle this.

Nawaz is their last option, but in the current environment how to get him in is a big question. Secondly Nawaz will ask for musharraf's and other now retired general's heads if and when he comes in. Several careers will be destroyed if Nawaz has to be brought in.

Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is the new peacenik on the horizon
“We are now two different countries, India and Pakistan, but our cultures match, as do our food and living habits and our speech."
For the sake of Mr. Bachchan, I quote what Mr. Jinnah told Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi:

We are a nation with our own distinctive culture and civilization, language and literature, art and architecture, names and nomenclature, sense of value and proportions, legal laws and moral codes, customs and calendar, history and tradition, aptitudes and ambitions, in short we have our own distinctive outlook on life and of life. By all canons of International Law we are a nation’

Gilani to do away with bar on being 3rd-time PM in constitution
Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday reiterated resolve to restore the 1973 constitution in its original form and vowed to do away with the restriction on becoming prime minister for third time.Addressing the gathering after the historic signing of the NFC award, the prime minister also rejected the amendments made by dictators in the constitution saying those who violate it need to be punished.(will musharraf be punished??)

Gilani said he was in favour of strengthening of the institutions and not individuals. He said the 17th amendment and 58-2B would also be removed from the constitution and said the constitutional committee was working in this regard.
When did Gilani became chamcha of Badmash or is he doing this on behalf of TSPA?.
