That Brahmos capability raised quite few eyebrows. It means even chotus can be delivered precisely like Jaydrath's father's head in Mahabharath! And its short range is also very omnious for terrorist jernails and their backers.

Happy Republic Day to all!
Re: Happy Republic Day!!!
Apart from the Tavor carrying guards, there is one guy carrying a thin leather bag/ brief case type always accompanying the PM, what could that be ?

Sound was patchy on my side too.
And the video too stuttered sometimes.
I have very good connection at "kaam". So it is not on my end.
Must be the high load on the server that is killing the feed.
I was peeved that just as the ladies from Dimapur were starting, the audio gave out for me!
Best

The President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil conferred the Ashoka Chakra on Major Laishram Jyotin Singh (posthumous) at the beginning of the Republic Day Parade 2011, at Rajpath, in New Delhi on January 26, 2011. The award was received by his brother Dr. L B Singh.

Re: Happy Republic Day!!!
Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, senior police officers, and a minister feel that they are too important for things like, oh, standing up for the national anthem. And they seem to have no problem with letting the flag lie on the ground.... Apparently insult to national symbols is not a problem if youre a minister or a cop.

Military Bands present a spectacular show
A symbolic and ceremonial enactment of India's old military tradition of disengaging from battle at sunset by sounding bugles and conch shells, the ‘Beating Retreat' event, which is also held in a number of Commonwealth countries, involved the participation of nearly 700 buglers, pipers and drummers drawn from 35 bands of the armed forces from across India.
The evening was brought to a fitting end with the lights coming on and neatly outlining and highlighting South and North Blocks with those leaving the place craning their necks again and again to admire the architectural marvel of Lutyens Delhi

Re: Happy Republic Day!!!
I actually reported the PS photo of the Iwo Jima picture about 4 days ago. For one, it is immensely disrespectful to the US marines who fought and gave their lives in that battle. Sad that no admin has found it fit to edit that post yet.

It is equally disrespectful to the valour of Indian soldiers who have displayed exemplary courage and fortitude in many theatres of war all over the world.ArmenT wrote:For one, it is immensely disrespectful to the US marines who fought and gave their lives in that battle.
