Looks like MMS regime actually let SAG travel to KSA without a passport in 2006 -- truly despicable, MMS regime's behavior. What exactly did India gain with that concession to a certified paki like SAG?

Dates are not finalised but news is released now when OIC passed a Kashmir Resolution against India. NaMo is signalling departure from Arap policy. No more appeasement of Islamic countries. What gives??

India terms OIC resolution on Kashmir ''completely unacceptable'

New Delhi: India on Friday rejected an OIC resolution commenting on Jammu and Kashmir as "completely unacceptable" and asked the association of 56 Islamic states to "refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of India".

In a strongly worded statement, the ministry of external affairs said: "We have seen the OIC Resolution commenting on the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is completely unacceptable. We dismiss it with the contempt it deserves. We advise the OIC to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of India."

On Thursday, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani made a special reference on Jammu and Kashmir in his opening statement at the 42nd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Kuwait, stressing the need for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute and said that final disposition of the issue should be evolved through a sustainable dialogue in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Later, the meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir was chaired by Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary General on Jammu and Kashmir, Ambassador Abdur Rehman Abdullah Alim.

The meeting was attended among others by Sartaj Aziz, adviser to the prime minister of Pakistan on national security and foreign affairs; Elmar Mamadyarov, foreign minister of Azerbaijan; Ambassador Muhammad Ahmed Tayyab of Saudi Arabia, the ambassador of Turkey; and ambassador Dr.Oumarou Amadou Sonrhai of Niger. Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, president of Pakistani Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmiri leader Ghulam Muhammad Safi also attended the meeting, according to Kashmir Media Service

At least we've got a massive pair now. These Muzzie nations can piss off. Regardless, these resolutions mean nothing. It's about time we form our own rights body and start passing resolutions against them.

India can corner each one of them separately including KSA on this one by one for this.

Tell us about the Rohingyas in India.

Jammu has the highest concentration of Rohingyas in India – about 5,000. While they may have initially come to Jammu to eventually cross over to Pakistan, this does not happen anymore. They prefer Jammu due to better employment options, as sanitation workers in railways, industrial workers and rag/scrap pickers. Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Haryana also have significant numbers of Rohingyas.

http://www.rediff.com/news/column/afspa-removal-why-tripura-and-jk-are-very-different/20150602.htm

Good article explaining why the situation in tripura is different from the jihadi infested J&K when it comes to removing AFSPA -- I recall some congress drones, one of whom is now editor at Indian Express claiming that there is a "conflict economy" is J&K and that will only go away when AFSPA is removed. Still find that a ridiculous claim.

What's up with the PoK people wanting space in Jammu? And why should they be accommodated when the jihadis in the PDP/J&K govt. will not accommodate the Kashmiri pundits?

Just as I was driving to Jammu Airport saw a spirited protest by Pakistan Occupied Kashmir displaced persons in 1945, 1965 and 1971. They want an immediate, comprehensive and permanent settlement package.

The travels made me realise how different the ground situation and people's mindsets in the two states are. People seemed happy and secure in Tripura whilst there was only complaining and suspicion in J&K.

Can removal of AFSPA be linked to fall in violence alone? If mindsets continue the way they are, even a small trigger can lead to violence.

These are mostly Hindu-Sikh refugees from POK. They are not state subjects presently. The BJP promised them full rights but seems to have backed off lately for unknown reasons.

"Kashmir battles to restore mobile services after militant attacks | Reuters"
http://www.firstpost.com/fwire/kashmir- ... 78140.html
Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir battled on Wednesday to restore mobile phone coverage paralysed after a series of attacks by a previously unknown militant outfit on people who cooperated with service providers.

Networks have crashed across the region of seven million people, which has long suffered a separatist insurgency and been fought over repeatedly by India and Pakistan since independence and partition.

Two people have been killed and four others hurt in attacks by a group called Lashkar-e-Islam on landlords hosting cellphone towers and owners of recharge outlets, panicking others into shutting up shop.

As many as 2,500 telecom towers were affected, an industry group said, but authorities were bringing them back online gradually as police tightened security.

"We expect the problem to be resolved in the next few days, and normalcy to return to telecom services in the area by the end of the week," said Rajan S. Mathews, head of the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

The perpetrators have not been publicly identified and their motives are unknown, beyond warning posters they have hung in areas that they have attacked. The mystery deepened further when they were denounced by a militant umbrella group.

"There are black sheep using the name of militant groups and people must unmask such elements wherever they find them," the United Jihad Council said in a statement to local newspapers.

Three reasons why such sentiments prevail in the valley:

1. Genuine love for TSP
2. Stockholm syndrome stemming from the years of butchery inflicted by TSP on the valley
3. Fear of some ISI-sponsored goon doing the needful, and hence appearing to be more loyal than the king

So the pakis are sending Khalistanis into Jammu to create trouble? WTF are pro-bhindranwale khalistanis doing in Jammu putting up posters of the fellow in order to create trouble. All of this naming Jammu border as "working boundary" and lot of pro-paki muslims getting settled in Jammu and now these Khalisthanis in Jammu seem to say that the pakis are widening their trouble making into Jammu.

Actually, this seems to be a well thought out set of moves by the Pakis - we have:

- hurriyat and our in-house separatists taking to constant waving of Pakistani flags and they will take to stone throwing soon
- khalistanis getting their panties in a bunch on some due to some bhindranwale posters being removed
- Rohingayas showing up in numbers in Jammu, with some of them being suspected members of RSO
- increased terrorist footprints although being slowly escalated
- our main opposition party leaders met a whole set of institutional separatist leaders like Tapan Bose yesterday

and of course NC votaries whining about why we should respect the Pakistani flag...

the end states reached in the next 3-4 months will be interesting to see...

This Paki Geelani had to attest in a public document that he was Indian and submit biometrics -- he should actually still be denied the passport for stating in public that he lied in his passport application form out of "compulsion". No reason why this paki mofo should be allowed to get way with gloating about lying on a passport application by stating that "he was not born in India and not an Indian" in public to the Indian Media.

Taliban posters in J-K: Shut your shops or be shot dead

We are appealing Muslims that they should restrain themselves from the conspiracy against Islam. You are requested to follow Islamic teachings and we have the potential to finish anti-Islamic activities in state and world. You are aware about mobile operations what we carried and are warning those people who:

1.Deal in fuel business for security vehicles.
2.People selling and dealing drugs, narcotics.
3.Cable operators.
4.Those who provide shelter to outsiders.
5.Those homes where gambling takes place.
Quit these activities or face consequences. Seven days deadline."

The 1984 Sikh progrom was done by Congress Party workers and not "Hindus", so please do not make this is a hindu-sikh thing, as the pakis and khalistanis would like to be projected. What the pakis and the khalisthanis want is "blowback" to get more Indian sikhs on the side of the khalistanis, so please cut out this playing up of a non-existent hindu-sikh faultline that does not exist except in khalistani minds.

Mean while The Hindu continues its tirade against the Armed Forces.
Army ops in Kashmir pitting taxi drivers against militants
They are not poor and have massive resources,” another driver Yaqoob Ahmad Najar (name changed) said. “The Army refused to give a day’s salary for flood relief in Kashmir, why should we do it every month?”

PS: I don't know if the stringers/reporters of The Hindu are actually monitored by any agency. These reporters are very steady in their negative reporting of the Armed Forces.

Our (Vikram, Aparna, Saswati Sarkar, Brihaspati (Dikgaj in article) & me) article on the future demographics of Jammu & Kashmir & how Hill Jammu is at serious risk. Pakistanis tried once to push Hindus south of the Chenab line (as Kishtwar Cauldron of GD Bakshi shows) and may try it again. Ladakh is dying too.

Human rights violations in held Kashmir not internal Indian matter: OIC

ISLAMABAD: Human rights violations in India-held Kashmir are not an internal matter of the Indian state, said Iyad Amin Madani, secretary-general of the 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The head of the world's largest bloc of Muslim countries has expressed concern over human rights violations in India-held Kashmir, which has seen weeks of deadly clashes between Muslim protesters and police.

Madani told a joint news conference along with Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz that the situation in Kashmir was deteriorating and urged the international community to act, saying the situation should be resolved at the political level.

"The international community should raise its voice against the atrocities in India-held Kashmir.

“Unfortunately, very few voices have come out against Indian tyranny,” said Madani.

“The situation in Kashmir is heading towards a referendum. No one should be afraid of a referendum and the solution should be through the United Nations resolutions in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The human rights violations in India-held Kashmir are not internal matter of the Indian state.”

The secretary general said the OIC is eager that the Kashmir issue is resolved and fully supports Pakistan. “The OIC has a dedicated special advisor on Kashmir and a liaison group that will meet at the UN General Assembly session in the United States.”

“Just statements alone are not enough when it comes to occupied Kashmir but the issue cannot be raised at the political level with silence.”

The secretary general said he hopes the next session of the OIC will be held in Pakistan. “Pakistan has hosted many historical sessions of the OIC in the past.”

The Advisor on Foreign Affairs welcomed Madani’s remarks, saying the two had spoken at length on the Kashmir issue.

Aziz stressed that Pakistan and India should resolve the Kashmir issue through dialogue. “We want dialogue with India, but we are waiting on India’s response, after which the situation will become clearer.”

The foreign affairs advisor urged the international community and the UN take notice of the human rights violations in Kashmir.

Not wishing to sound like a doom mongerer, it seems to me that the situation in J&K is as bad as at anytime I can remember in the past 25 years. I hope the powers that be are conducting an appraisal and evolving a strategic, long term response.

This will veer close to a generalization, but it's what I have seen. In the -admittedly few- interactions I have had with Kashmiri Muslims in and out of their state, many of them frankly do not come across as a very edifying people. Quick to take offence and whine about azaadi, quick to condemn India and most of all quicker still to spot any opportunity for personal financial or other type of gain. And these are some of the educated types studying in Indian colleges, working in Indian companies.

Time for a separate discussion on BR on a long term J&K strategy? Quick or long term, peaceful or bloody, are there aspects of our approach that need to be changed?

The Kashmiri jihadis are the most successful ethnic cleansers in the subcontinent since Partition. Their crime is rarely mentioned. Just like every story in West has the constant tag line "India and Pakistan have fought three wars over Kashmir" etc., every story in India should mention the ethnic cleansing.

India did not highlight the ethnic cleansing of Hindus in the valley.
The valley is just 120 sq Kms.
I meet Kashmiri Pundits every week. One KP friend says that in 25 years they will lose their entire identity.

This is one of the largest refugee issue in democratic country
KP colonies are planned and it will take several years.

Even after partition India did not highlight the ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Pakistan
India did the invention only in 1971 for Bangladesh

India has to complete the score and do it for the missing Hindus in Pakistan and Kashmir and POK
Indians should start calling POK as Pakistan occupied India - POI

By properly naming it Pakistan occupied India it will mobilize the entire Indian nation against Pak.

And, in the meantime, may be some low level bureaucrat can respond to OIC's comments the same way President of the President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte responded to the UN when he found the organization was urging the Philippines to stop executing and killing people linked to drug business and threatened that “state actors” could be punished.

‘I don't give a sh*t about them’: Philippine president threatens to leave ‘stupid’ UN

Calling the UN “inutile"
“I don't give a sh*t about them,” he added. “They are the ones interfering. You do not just go out and give a sh*tting statement against a country.” :rotfl:

On a serious note, peace in the valley should be a top priority. I was lucky to spend some time in Srinagar. Left valley on Saturday, the day after Wani was taken out and before the curfew shutdown the city which hasn't recovered yet. It was tough to walk around the street where CRPF jawans were ambushed in June. Hope things recover soon.
