Admission of state sponsored terrorism by Pakistani authorities

see this Der Spigel Interview where Musharraf admits to that.

On 7th Nov in TimesNow Channel, Tasneem Noorani, a former Secretary of the Pakistani Interior Ministry, openly said that.

Kiyani called the Haqqanis as strategic assets.

In Dec. 2008, President Zardari himself admitted to ISI helping LeT. He said,"The links between the Inter-Services Intelligence Agency and the LeT were developed in the old days when dictators used to run the country. After the 9/11 terror attacks in the US, things have changed to a great extent"

In an address to bureaucrats in July 2009, President Zardari said: "Militants and extremists were deliberately created and nurtured as a policy to achieve some short-term tactical objectives. Let us be truthful to ourselves and make a candid admission of the realities. The terrorists of today were the heroes of yesteryears until 9/11 occurred and they began to haunt us as well"

In Nov. 2009, Prime Minister Gilani admitted to the support for terrorism by Musharraf as "running with the hares and hunting with the hounds".

When Bush warned the Pakistanis in August 2008 of their support to Al Qaeda, Afrasiab Khattak, President of Awami National Party (ANP) said this: "The question is why it has taken the Americans so long to see what the ISI is doing. We’ve been telling them for years but they wouldn’t buy it.". See here.

In an interview to the BBC as far back as on Feb. 13, 1994, Benazir Bhutto admitted how she handed over to Rajiv Gandhi the complete list of Sikh activists colluding with the ISI in terrorism in the Punjab. Later, Nawaz Sharif described this interview as a faux pas.

Apart from these, of course, numerous Pakistani commentators, analysts, and editors have openly admitted to terror as a state policy.

Learning from Korea

Part 2 of the article

Not only did Korea not learn from Pakistan, but Pakistan cannot learn from Korea:
Can we then learn from Korea? The short answer is, perhaps, not. The fault lines in our governance, in our work ethics, in our individual and collective commitment, and above all, in our attitudes have continued to widen overtime and are now at a point that a miracle is required for a sustainable turnaround. But our faith-healers continue to assure us that miracles do happen.

Yes, it is. Does Pakistan claim it because it feels that anything to with Muslims or Islam in pre-partition India is its legacy ?

We should be happy they dont claim Wipro as theirs....

Hamdard's founder was a Delhi-ite..two sons one of whom was incapable of living in peace amongst humans so he left for TSP-land to provide freshness, energy and clear skin to terrorists and jehadis...The elder one stayed back...

Here is the founder and grand poo-bah of the Nutty Nation. He does not have the balls to actually be a soosai bumber, since sending others on such missions is way more convenient. But empty boast about being a bumber is how you impress others in TSP:

Indian plots bound to fail: Nizami
Warning the India, Majid Nizami said, “Our horses are ready and these horses are our missiles and atom bombs. These horses would destroy India in a jiffy. We have horses and India has donkeys. I often say and I say it now, tie me with a missile and throw it to India to blow up our enemy.”

Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Qayum said that Majid Nizami was a pillar of Pakistan’s security and an asset as well as a motivation for every patriotic Pakistani. He said that it was the duty of this nation to follow Majid Nizami’s teachings in schools, colleges and universities. He termed Majid Nizami as most suitable candidate for Pakistan’s presidency.

Another quote from the article:

“But our rulers are dying to mend fences with India. Everyday they talk about Indo-Pak trade amounting in millions of dollars. They must wake up and realise that there would be no trade and terms with India unless Pakistan’s jugular vein Kashmir is set free from Indian occupation,”

We should give Pakistan MFN status. (Most F*&%#d Nation) :) . The atom bombs are the Sivakasi kind.

Those originating in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan give “Asians” a bad name by involvement in sexual grooming children simply because as UK Detective Chief Inspector Alan Edwards put it “No one wants to stand up and say that Pakistani guys in some parts of the country are , recruiting young white girls and passing them around their relatives for sex”:

Quarter of child sex groomers are Asian, report reveals

It is, he is a great writer and I have always admired him, until his lost his mind and credibility to a large extent by supporting US/UK's gang rape and monstrous crimes against humanity in Iraq in broad daylight. You might also want to read Fair bimbo's critic of his peace and Acorn's rebuttal of her that A_Gupta posted a while back. I don;t think the official "South Asia" experts will agree with him, or they might, but won't let that cloud their current India TSP equal equal policy prescription.

Pakis doing exceptionally well in special olympics. I say why not with such a wide pool of population that can be classified in that category (thanks to coujin marriages) they can be world leaders in it. I hope some korean delegation visits them for this too :rotfl:

Ravi water flow: India, Pak engineers battle it out

Sources informed TOI on Thursday that Pakistan has constructed various bundhs along the river in Amritsar and Gurdaspur sectors to deflect the river course. They have also constructed defense structures including bunkers by raising high bundh on Ichhogil canal.

Due to construction of these bundhs, a large part of land from Ranian and Kakkar villages of Indian side are washed away during the rainy season. During this season Pakistan releases water, nearly one lakh cusec, from its villages of Mandhal and Marala and it increases the water level in Indian villages up to 3 lakh cusec. This high flow of water submerges villages around Ranian and Kakkar

Joys of flying PIA. The no. 1 airline in Asia (once upon time - a self claim by TSP with no external verification.) From the letters section of The News (posting in full).

Great rats to fly with
Thursday, June 30, 2011
On June 21, in the PIA Airbus 310 (AP-BGP) with the call sign 283, a giant size rat came out as soon as the flight departed from Peshawar to Dubai via Abu Dhabi. It started marching up and down the grill above the passenger seats. It was a horrible sight as well as a hazard to flight safety. The rodent with sharp teeth could have damaged cables in the airplane. We, the passengers, thought that the plane would be turned back to the nearest airport to get rid of the rat but it did not happen. In fact, to our surprise the airline staff decided to continue the flight from Abu Dhabi to Dubai with the rat still on the plane.

It was even more shocking to learn from a relative who travelled to Peshawar from Dubai on the same plane by flight PK 284 on June 22 that the rat was still there. I request the PIA and the CAA authorities to kindly observe hygiene and flight-safety standards on planes.

A PIA well-wisher

Rawalpindi

Not a good sign when rats are abandoning the ship called TSP. Rapes need to start booking their tickets soon else like the titanic a lot of folks may go down with the ship.

The more I think about it, the more it occurs to me that USA's India TSP equal equal policy is so similar to what US has in US by design domestically, reps dems equal equal. Notice how reps and dems (so called liberals and conservatives) not pick every nuance on either side and the media, reflective of the split reports these nuances bit by bit, and each side accuses the other of bias. Likewise, when India says LeT, TSP says "Hindu extremists", and US media will "objectively" report that (notwithstanding the spate of reports and views reflecting TSP perfidy post OBL). In fact, TSP parallels the conservatives in US in more ways than one; first both are monotheistic, religious (Isalmic and Christian) nationalists/fanatics, both believe in their TFTA superiority, and above all both have this comical paranoid belief or shall we say phony fear masquerading their real intention that they are "oppressed", TSP by big baad India, and reps by "liberals" and "liberal media".

And since its US bahadur that controls both India & TSP, and what happens domsetcally, by design, nothing, not the worst revelation or illogical thinking will change the equal equal. Thus, no matter what crime TSP commits, its India TSP equal equal (so, tomorrow if a pigLet expldes a dirty nuke in Times Square, NYC, its equally India's fault because it introduced nukes in "South Asia"); likewise, no matter what a bunch of air heads and illogical Michele Bachamn and Sarah Palin are, they will still get equal air time as the dems. India TSP equal equal onlee just as reps, dems equal equal onlee :-).

MANCHESTER: Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary, Director International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University (KU), disclosed on Thursday that former Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Prof Dr Atta-ur-Rehman is the first Pakistani whose genome has been mapped by Pakistani scientists at a cost of $40,000 in just 10 months.

China has contributed $20,000 in the total cost of the genome project. Pakistani and Indian genomes have similarities compared to others, he said, while speaking at a press conference, held on Thursday at Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine & Drug Research (PCMD), Karachi University (KU).

Dr. Kamran Azim, Assistant Professor in the Dr Panjwani Center and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.

Dr Iqbal Choudhary said that the success of our scientists on this genome project is in fact a national pride for us; they have acquired remarkable scientific achievement at a time when Pakistan is passing through a terrible time in its history.

With this historical achievement, Pakistan has taken a step forward in the genome world and joined the ranks of the few countries – the US, UK, China, Japan and India – which have successfully sequenced the human genome, he said and added that Pakistan, however, is not new in this genome world as we have already sequenced DNA of mangoes and other fruits.

“Dr Atta has become the first Muslim man with this distinction, while he is the third one among a list of renowned people in the world whose genomes have been mapped by scientists. The names of the first two persons are Prof Watson and Dr Ventor (2007), while others are unnamed.

Pakistan has become the sixth country, working on the genome projects after US, UK, China, Japan and India.

We need advanced equipments to further gain progress in this unique field; an institute of Genome will also be setup in the country soon. Millions of pages are required to write the details of genome and that the genome of the first American was mapped at a cost of $6b, across a ten year period,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the research team, who mapped the genome, comprised of Dr Kamran Azim, Assistant Professor in the Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research and Dr Yong Zhang, head of the genomics department at the Beijing Genomics Institute, Shenzhen, China, one of the leading authorities in genomics.

Dr Kamran Azim has acknowledged the fact that the complete Pakistani genome has been sequenced for the first time, and said that this research will improve the diagnosis of disease, while the earlier detection of genetic predispositions to diseases will also be a benefit of this research. He said, “The new thing in the study was the technique which can trace back a mutation to the specific parent. We are still studying the actual genome data itself and how the genetic differences we identified may predispose this particular individual to certain diseases”, he said.

Reply Pakistani and Indian genomes have similarities compared to others,

I find this statement amazing. What is a Pakistani genome? Pakistan only came into being 60 years ago. Is there a specie called Pakistani already? Its Indian genome. Dr Atta is an Indian, genome wise, simple as that. Get over it. No point beating about the bush.
Oh how much we wish we had Arab genomes. How embarrassing that after expressing so much hate for Indians we turned out to be Indians ourselves.

I don't give a sh!t as to what happens in TSP, but tell me good or bad for India? I would say if jihadi sympthizers take over, its good, then US will find it difficult to do equal equal, but then again who knows.

If it happens, bad for India in short term, good in medium term and excellent in long term.

:D aaah.... long time since we have seen khaki-climb-gates day in pakland. So did Gen Petraeus get a Pindi phone call (a la Zinni in '99) or he is still in the doghouse for not paying enough?

(btw, the fine Gen Z's HUMONGOUS wikipedia entry is scrubbed clean of his self-declared close relationship with war criminal and anti-democratic Musharraf. Must be readying him for some elections on a Dem ticket 8) These off-color revolutions of khan democracy are funny )

Oh by the way, the US Senate has confirmed Gen Petraeus as CIA chief.

Its related to the Nazariya-e-Pakistan or the creation of Paksitani identity.. The poor fools are pressing genomics to claim to be a new man from the Indian sub-continent. Interesting that the Paksitani woman is not genomed!

The "dirty" woman? the one who should be "used for your needs" till you get the real hoors? why would paki waste his genome analysing powers on such a creature? sheesh. Did you not see the "proper" video?
re-education is required.

Once the Pakistani genome copulates with the women the women also becomes Pakistani along with the progeny!
