this forum gives a glimpse of many types of Indians. some have an almost visceral paralysis when it comes to any indication of proactively rolling back Pakistan. names are not important. but the thought process which produces such ideas needs to be attacked.

Modi Makes New Strategic Inroads in the UAE

In the UAE, Narendra Modi lays the foundations for a strong partnership between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi.

http://thediplomat.com/2015/08/modi-mak ... n-the-uae/

Quote:

The two sides also agreed to expand their cooperation on defense matters. Specifically, in the joint statement issued after Modi’s meeting with Sheikh Mohamed, the two sides resolved to “Strengthen defence relations, including through regular exercises and training of naval, air, land and Special Forces, and in coastal defence.” Curiously, the joint statement also included a clause stating that the UAE would “Cooperate in manufacture of defence equipment in India,” in line with the Modi government’s “Make in India” initiative.

According to Indian reports, on economic issues, Modi “made it clear that he wants UAE to be India’s foremost partner in countering terrorism and trade.” The two sides agreed to elevate their relationship to the level of a “comprehensive strategic partnership,” a designation used by New Delhi to denote bilateral relationships of particular significance. Speaking to prominent investors and businessmen in the UAE, Modi noted that India had opportunities for “immediate investment” of around $1 trillion.

Next West Asia trip of Modi in November is to Turkey, for G20 meet. Perhaps he can cover Israel and Iran on that same trip. That would nicely cover the 4 West Asian countries that matter to India.

Leaked photo of naked Kurdish PKK female fighter sparks online furor

Quote:

After being shot dead by the Turks, Kevser Elturk – who used the nom de guerre Ekin Van – was stripped naked and photographed. Leaked images of her battered corpse have gone viral, with Kurdish activists furious at the attempt to humiliate the dead female fighter.

Turkish media reported that Elturk was killed on Aug. 10, during a gun battle with Turkish forces in a rural area of the Varto district – Gimgim, Today’s Zaman reported.

According to Save Kobane, a pro-Kurdish group, “The photo of the fallen guerrilla was initially shared by the Turkish security forces who took the picture, circulating within Turkish nationalistic networks who have been celebrating the picture with pride.”

Months ago a picture was leaked showing Turkish army dragging the body of a dead Kurdish fighter through the streets. An now this. It shows the deep Pakiness of Turks, it's not unlike Packee army beheading of Indian Army jawans. Let's deal with the Turks if we have to but always be on our guard. My own experience with Turks tells me that most are (90%) are closet Islamists who dream of a new Turkish empire, where they freely loot the subjected infidels, kidnap and rape their women, etc..

CNN
(CNN)As Europe grapples with an unprecedented wave of migrants, many fleeing the brutal conflict in Syria, Slovakia announced Thursday that it only wanted to take in Christians.

Slovakian Interior Ministry spokesman Ivan Netik told CNN his country's approach did not result from discrimination.

Instead, he said, it stemmed from concern over whether the migrants would stay in Slovakia for the long term.

Slovakia has only a tiny Muslim community, Netik said, and there are no mosques, making it hard for Muslims to integrate.

"That's the reason we want to mostly choose people who really want to start a new life in Slovakia," he said. "And Slovakia as a Christian country can really help Christians from Syria to find a new home in Slovakia."

the covert war between christianity and islam for followers, land and resources that was in dormant state for few 100 years has again become overt.

africa has a major faultline running along the tropic of cancer

middle east has islands of christianity that may or may not be protected by the western countries. some are still trying to run with the hounds (sunni cabal) and play with the hares (christians, shias) as well.

its war, all out war. would not be surprised if ISIS launches a chemical weapons attack on any major shia capital or even that al-sauds whom it considers impure and degenerate.

Yemen's Saudi supported Government losing to Al Qaeda and ISIS.

http://www.sfgate.com/news/world/articl ... 459388.php
Al-Qaida militants have seized control of key areas in and around Yemen's port city of Aden, high-ranking security officials said Saturday, a major gain for the group which has been making inroads amid the chaos of the country's civil war.

Fighters took Tawahi district, home to a presidential palace and Aden's main port, and were patrolling the streets, some carrying black banners, the officials said. The militants also took parts of Crater, Aden's commercial center, and parts of the town of Dar Saad, just north of Aden, including an army base that their fighters turned into a training camp, they added.
http://www.businessinsider.com/isis-cla ... 015-8?IR=T
Hundreds of kilometers away in the Empty Quarter desert, a local official said unknown gunmen attacked a government military post in the Thamud district near Saudi Arabia, killing four soldiers.

In a statement posted online, Islamic State said it carried out the assault on the "apostate army," in the group's first known attack against the government since it emerged this year.
Raises the question what is exactly the Gulf monarchies achieving in Yemen. Do they seriously think that their beloved Hadi Government can come back to rule this country? Or is their pathological hatred of Shias make them overconfident that they can somehow control this greener monster?

Palestinians hold Holi-like festival

ImageImage
Fuad Salah Al Yamani, the 19-year-old organiser of the festival who is a junior accounting student at Al Quds Open University, gives the credit for his festival’s huge success to the criticism and attacks the festival received from people who maintained that it violated Palestinian customs and traditions.

“I do not take criticism into real account. I have been happy with this criticism which paved the way for the huge success of the festival,” Al Yamani, told Gulf News.

The festival’s success prompted Al Yamani to organise another one in October, but on a larger scale. He will invite Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank to attend and expects to have ten times the amount of people.

The first Festival of Colours was organized in a private stadium, but the coming activity will be organized in a spacious public place to give the audience a better chance to celebrate the festival, he said.

So Turkey aided the formation of the 'Islamic State', than a month or so ago, the Turks asked IS to attack the leftist pro-Kurdish students/activists in Suruc. Turkey then works out a deal with the US where the US is allowed to use Incirlik Air Base. In return Turkey gets a carte blanche from the US/Nato to launch attacks on IS. But the Turks never intended to attack IS, in fact Turkey is still working with them, instead they use it as a cover to attack the Kurdish militia in Syria and Iraq.

How is this for Paki-like cleverness?

I am actually very pleased with the course of action Turkey has initiated because:

1. Turkeys relation with the Kurds is in ruin, the PKK has taken up arms again against the Turkish security services/army.

2. Turkey allowing the IS to operate freely means that the IS can continue to breed more jihadi's. These jihadi's are a long-term threat to Turkey and Europe. This could lead to more discord and radicalization in Turkey (alienation of Kurds in Turkey and more jihadi Islam).

I really hope Erdogan gets a majority in the new elections.

This is an old article (July 30, 2015), but it explains what Turkey is doing.

Qatar raises its game to fend off next LNG giants
Gas giant Qatar is becoming commercially sharper, using traders and tenders to grab new customers, and fighting to hold on to its share in the prized Asian market.

Qatar is the world's top supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG), but in the coming five years it could be surpassed by Australia, a shift which threatens its dominance in Asia -- which accounts for almost three quarters of the global market and has paid the highest prices.

"Previously Qatar's strategy had been about retaining price, in future it's going to be about retaining market share," said Noel Tomnay, head of global gas and LNG research at Wood Mackenzie.

"As lots of Australian LNG comes into the market, it's inevitably going to push out some Qatari volumes from Asia," Tomnay said.

This has prompted Qatar to work more closely with trade houses who are focused on short-term deals, often in riskier markets, while also lowering its price expectations.

"In the past Qatar did not need to be commercial. Now they are a lot more commercial, a lot sharper," said a trader at an international trade house. "They are dealing with traders more and have started participating in tenders."

Saudi Gazette
Saudi Gazette, Jeddah

A flying contingent of the Indian Air Force (IAF) are on a maiden visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from August 1-4.

Indian Embassy Charge d’Affaires Hemant Kotalwar, while addressing a press conference, called the visit significant, and yet another feature that is set to give the Indo-Saudi relations a boost.

“The visit underscored the close defense ties between India and Saudi Arabia, which received a fillip following Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s visit to New Delhi, when he was Crown Prince in February 2014, to sign a Bilateral Defense Cooperation Agreement,” he said.

Kotalwar thanked King Salman and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salam, minister of defense, for the support and cooperation rendered during the visit.

The contingent consisting of 110 IAF officers and airmen onboard Sukhoi 30MKI fighter aircraft, C-17 Globe Masters, C-130 Super Hercules and IL-78 aircraft while en route to United Kingdom for a multinational exercise landed at King Fahd airbase in Taif.

Eni discovers ‘supergiant’ gasfield near Egypt
Italian energy group Eni has discovered what it says is a “supergiant” gasfield off the coast of Egypt, the largest ever found in the Mediterranean Sea and which could provide a much-needed boost for the country’s economy.

Eni, one of Europe’s biggest oil and gas companies, said on Sunday that the Zohr discovery “could become one of the world’s largest natural-gas finds” and would play a “major” role in meeting Egypt’s natural gas demand for decades once fully developed.

The field held a possible 30tn cubic feet of gas, or 5.5bn barrels of oil equivalent, said the company, which has examined well results and geophysical data from the Zohr 1X NFW well located in 1,450 metres of water in the Shorouk exploration block. It covers an area of 100 square km.
Suppose this gas find turns out to be accurate.
In 2013, Europe imported 162 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia. This Egyptian find is about a trillion cubic meters. It can diversify Europe's supply; but is hardly enough to replace Russia.

^^^ If Europe imports 160 billion CM of gas per year from Russia, the Egyptian find is 16 years or so of consumption, if it entirely replaces Russian gas. Russia's gas reserves are 30-40 times greater. That is why I think this find enables Europe to diversify, but not to eliminate its dependency on Russia.

Now, if the Mediterranean find is somehow replicated a few times over, that could be of real strategic significance, as it would change the balance of gas power.

Zohr will feed Egyptian demand, it won't export to Europe.

There are already some giant discoveries in the region: Tamar and Leviathan in Israeli waters, Aphrodite in Cypriot waters.

Looking wider, there's a huge amount of gas in Kurdistan (Iraq), Azerbaijan and Iran, which can find its way to Europe through Turkey.

European gas demand is falling due to energy efficiency, the economic slowdown, and the huge growth in wind and solar power.

U.S. LNG exports will start by the end of the decade (from Sabine Pass, etc.), and there are some breathtaking discoveries offshore Mozambique (and Tanzania) that will feed the Asian LNG market.

Once the nukes restart, Japanese demand for LNG will also decline, just as the huge Australian LNG projects come onstream.

Russia is becoming increasingly dependent on China for gas/hydrocarbon exports, but the Chinese will take care to diversify.

The world is awash in natural gas, and Russia's importance is slowly but rather steadily declining.

UAE likely to ask India's assistance in its Mars mission during foreign minister visit - Dipanjan Roy Chaudhury, Economic Times
The United Arab Emirates is expected to seek India's expertise in launching its Mars mission when its foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan visits Delhi this week, opening a new chapter in bilateral ties beyond security and economic partnership within a fortnight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's maiden trip to the oil-rich Gulf nation.

India's assistance for launching the Mars mission will work out more cost-effective for the UAE than is possible from Europe or USA, and mark the first such collaboration between India and any Gulf country, officials said. Al-Nahyan will be in Delhi on September 2-3 with an 83-member delegation, including top officials of the UAE's space agency and captains of industry.

The two sides will explore cooperation in new areas including defence production, infrastructure, security, counter-terrorism, energy security and medium and small enterprises; scientific collaboration in areas such as space and renewable energy, sustainable development, environment, agriculture, desert ecology, urban growth and healthcare during Al-Nahyan's trip, MEA officials said.

The Europeans are being silly about this. The politicians have a huge opportunity here and they are seemingly incapable of action, or even any real thought on the subject.

Incredible if you've watched the migrants. The sense of entitlement some of these chaps have is incredible. Some of them are even being sarcastic, etc.

How do we sleep? If that child had been anybody but Muslim, Canada, Britain, India etc would have opened their doors.

I am impressed with Germans, they will take 800,000 this year. Unbelievable.

Do they know this is a security risk? A threat to their Chrsitian way of life? Yes of course they do. That is why it is so impressive.

But the point is well taken, those defenders of Islam Saudia and that indefatigable champion of oppressed Muslims Pakistan are quite mute. Ther is enough room to settle all of the Syrian population in Pakistan. It might even improve the local genes.

Hungarians are going ape$hit. Absolute chaos! Fear mongering by the Hungarian PM himself and open threats of "Christianity Katre mein hain!!"
Man! This is so much fun!
Next will be France. I have spare supply of beer and Manchuria for this new eyeropean show at the expense of poor Muslims across Mediterranean.
The current refugee crisis is not an EU problem, but rather "a German problem," according to Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban as his nation's borders are swamped with foreigners seeking to travel on to Germany. "People in Europe are full of fear because they see that the European leaders are not able to control the situation," he exclaimed after a meeting with EU President Schultz. He is right, of course, as we detailed here and here, but the sheer scale of the tragedy is worst than many could imagine. Orban defended his decision to erect a fence along its southern border with Serbia, saying: "we don’t do this for fun, but because it is necessary," adding rather pointedly that his country was being "overrun" with refugees, most of whom, according to the prime minister, were not Christians.

The disturbing image of a drowned Syrian boy has crystallized the crisis across Europe for most of the rest of the world...

Unlike folks here, who seem to forget about how Hindus, Sikhs were genocided in Pakistan in 1947, 1971 in BD, 1989 in Kashmir. while constantly under threat in Assam, WB and Kerala, UP. During all these ventures the main leaders of these crimes found citizenship in Europe and America, with business, jobs for their children with continuous funding, media support for these causes. Their leaders could act freely as the population does not really care about atrocities on people who are pagan. Make Muslims 20% of these countries populations and no longer can their leaders use their resources to fund "Islamic" victories in the Indian subcontinent or Nigeria etc.

The world will then move towards genuine secularism being practiced whether it is India or Saudi Arabia.

well the Euro-US combine set fire to the beehives from afghanistan to west africa. none can blame the bees for wanting to migrate to new forests and setup new hives. 99% of the refugees are young people, sometimes with kids .. hoping to start over a new life with nothing but a small bag...there are no old people in the refugee boats..they cannot survive the physical hardship and are being left behind to die in failed and destroyed countries.

the US having led and supervised this mess now sits amiably behind its oceans, leaving the EU munnas to clean the s***

its time EU leaders grew some backbone and demanded that rich land-surplus nations in their cabal like canada, US and australia be also forced to take in their quota of refugees per a formula based on per-capita income, land surplus . why are tiny nations like macedonia or hungary in the firing line when the massive surpluses of n.america and australia are there ?

its time to spread the fallout of their failed "projects" fairly :)

india has already absorbed the effects of economic failure in BD and TSPA genocide in BD in the past. none came to our aid or offered to find a new home for BD refugees and infact tried to protect their munna.

no matter what happens, even if we have to eat grass and sand...we must take a oath never to let a syria or libya happen in india , anyone meddling must be hit with high-yield weapons even if we have to go down, take everyone down with us.

Asked whether Russia could get involved in direct military action against ISIL militants, who have been active in Iraq and Syria, Putin said that it is too early to discuss the matter.

"We are already providing Syria with fairly strong support with technology and the training of military servicemen," the Russian president said.
