Saudi Ex Crown Prince Rumoured To Be Under House Arrest.

Saudi ex-crown prince rumored to be on lockdown
Last week's commotion in Saudi Arabia over the line of succession seems to have quieted down, but that may be because the deposed crown prince has been hidden away so he can't cause trouble for the new one. Per the New York Times, four sources noted to be "current and former American officials and Saudis close to the royal family" have said the erstwhile crown prince, 57-year-old Mohammed bin Nayef, has been banned from leaving the grounds of his Jiddah palace and the kingdom overall. Palace intrigues in the House Of Saud !
The alleged confinement is also said to extend to some family members: One of bin Nayef's married daughters was reportedly confined to home (her spouse and child could leave). A Saudi official notes the mandate happened right after bin Nayef lost his royal standing to his younger cousin, 31-year-old Mohammed bin Salman, King Salman's son.
Sources say bin Salman guards now patrol bin Nayef's palace. "It's an indication ... MBS does not want any opposition," a source tells the Times, using bin Salman's nickname, adding bin Nayef likely wasn't planning any trouble.
A senior Saudi official blasts the Times article, telling Reuters the report is "untrue, completely false, and baseless" and that bin Nayef may seek legal redress against the paper. "His Royal Highness … and his family [are] moving freely and hosting his guests unrestrictedly," the official says, adding Nayef has left his home "on a daily basis" since his demotion. Is Raheel "advising" the young prince !

UAE Crown Prince asked US to bomb Al Jazeera during war on terror
Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan says his father had asked the US to 'rein in' Al Jazeera
Caroline Mortimer
The Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) asked the US to bomb the headquarters of Al Jazeera during the war in Afghanistan, leaked cables revealed.
Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan – referred to as MBZ – “laughingly recalled” a conversation between his father, Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, and the emir of Qatar, Hamad al-Thani.
Mr al-Thani complained Mr al-Nahyan had asked the then commander of the US Central Command General Tommy Franks to bomb the news channel, the 2003 cable released by WikiLeaks, showed.
The Crown Prince then told former State Department official, Robert Haass, that his father had replied “Do you blame him?”
After his father's death in 2004, he also attempted to pressure the Americans to put pressure on the Qataris “to rein in Al Jazeera”.
He also recommended against allowing journalists to embed with soldiers fighting in the conflicts in Afghanistan because “the prospect of televising scenes of civilian casualties was just too risky”.

Real reason behind blockade is Saudi wanting a regime change in Qatar.

UK banks have stopped dealing in Qatari Riyals BBC
A spokeswoman for Barclays said: "In common with other banks, Barclays' high street foreign exchange service is supplied by a third party, which has stopped providing the Qatari riyal.
"Unfortunately, we are therefore currently unable to buy the Riyal from or sell it to our retail customers."
A spokeswoman for Lloyds Banking Group also said that a "third-party supplier" which carries out its foreign exchange service had ceased trading Qatar riyals from 21 June.
She said: "This currency is no longer available for sale or buy-back across our high street banks including Lloyds Bank, Bank of Scotland and Halifax."
HSBC was unavailable for comment on its current position. Reuters reported that the Post Office had stopped buying and selling the currency earlier this month.
Currency supplier Travelex said trading in riyals had been suspended in some markets due to "business challenges".
But it added: "Travelex is pleased to announce it has resumed purchasing Qatar riyal globally."

Having gone into the deep end ..salman cannot back out now with huge loss of stature
Qatar standing firm and rejecting every single demand will hold his feet to the fire.
After the debacle in yemen ..if he fails in qatar...sections of royals loyal to old crown prince would sent out feelers to usa deep state to get approval for a palace coup...
