Probably staged by Pakis to invoke a deeper Chinese military presence in the country or for Chinese to cough up more money for Pakis to "go after" the ISI(S).

Kashi, I do believe that it is true blue IS-K that has done the job. Pakistan has been strenuously denying the presence of IS. That is simply not true.

SSridharJi, perhaps you are right. But I do expect Pakis to milk it for all its worth. They'll ask the West for money and China for arms, ammunition and probably PLA troops in PoK so that "they may go after ISIS".

Of course, the Chinese will come down hard on Pakistan, are we going to see a redux ala Lal Masjid 2007?

Most of Paki circular debt is because of Independent Power Producer (IPP) companies that are owned and operated by private companies. They produce 65% of total power in Pakistan using fossil fuel (gas and oil) which is the most costly way of generating power in Pakistan.

Immediately after coming to power PMLN wrote off $5 Billion worth of outstanding dues of these companies and this debt is ballooning again in short 3-4 years to $5 Billion again.

Just like sugar mills these IPP are granted huge subsidies and money periodically by the Pakistani government in the name of helping the masses.

Pakistan is a true Mughal model. A ruling elite that owns the business and government (power), and self funds themselves using taxpayer money with no accountability. New resistance is co-opted through marriages and giving titles. Religious elites are entertained and kept in good humor. Opponents fake opposition and joins hand behind the curtain in the systemic loot. The ruling elite lives in a different world disconnected from the masses.

Agree. If they don't do that, they are not Pakis. It is axiomatic that the Pakis turn every situation to their venal advantage and even create situations for this purpose.

It was communism and the fear of the Soviets gunning for the warm waters of the Arabian Sea in the 50s & 60s. The Americans were milked. This gave way to helping the Americans reach a detente with China in the 70s. Both the Americans and the Chinese were milked. Then, the 80s saw jihad in Afghanistan. More milking of the Americans, Chinese and the Saudis. In the meanwhile, the ascent of Ayatollah Khomeini in neighbouring Iran helped Pakistan milk the Saudis and the Americans more. Then came the instability in Afghanistan, another creation of Pakistan, and more milking of the Saudis and the Americans. Then the Taliban were created and unleashed on Afghanistan along with the relocation of Osama bin Laden from the Sudan. Saudis and Americans were milked. 9/11 happened and the biggest milking ever in history of the US by Pakistan happened for a decade and a half. In the meanwhile, the Saudis were suckled dry promising them protection for Al Yamamh and supplying them n-weapons. Now, the Chinese, under the garb of CPEC etc.

Inter-Ummah Tiff Gets Interesting Day By Day

Erdogan sides with Doha, approves deployment of Turkish troops to Qatar

My unscientific prediction: Within a year or two,( without the services of "honest broker" Pakistan  ) there will be be a grand "kiss and make -up feast " in one of the Arab Capitals !

PS: Whether Pakistan, the "First Islami Atomi Takaat" will be invited to that function is a different question :D

And Now This !

Arab nations add names to terror list amid Qatar dispute

Arab countries put 12 organisations and 59 people on a terror sanctions list early Friday they described as being associated with Qatar, the latest in a growing diplomatic dispute that seen the country isolated by Saudi Arabia and others.

Chaos in Parliament as lawmakers bicker over 'treatment of Parliamentarians'

Parliament witnessed a particularly chaotic session on Friday after opposition parties raised questions about the scuffle between the Awami Muslim League's Shaikh Rashid ( commonly known as "Randibaaz Rashid " !) and PML-N leader Noor Awan yesterday.Taking note of yesterday's scuffle between Rashid and Awan, PPP stalwart and Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah said the "protectors of the House" should not turn into "butchers".“Did you [just] call the chair a butcher?” demanded National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.“I said this word is common these days,” Shah responded. Apart from their Election Commission requiring a "college degree" to become MNA, they should also be asked to produce a certified "Character Certificate" to "stand for parliament" !

PS:" Paki Democracy" is a farce. The country is governed by the Fauj and the Deep State. The Mughal Badshah ( Ganja Sharif) rarely attends the session. His minions and cronies "defend" him in the Assembly . This glorified Club ( NA) is allowed to indulge in the pretense of governance at the whim of the Deep State. Important Agreements like CPEC, for example , are never introduced into the House for discussion and approval

So, the anticipated and Pakistan - desired (chai- biskoot ) meeting between Modi-ji and Ganja can now safely be "ruled out" ?

The Expected Chinese Backlash Against The Killing Of It's Citizens.

China 'gravely concerned' as teachers reported killed in Pak

China said today that it was "gravely concerned" at Islamic State claims that the group killed two Chinese teachers it kidnapped in Pakistan's Baluchistan province last month, where Beijing is investing billions of dollars in infrastructure projects.China said it was working to verify the claim.
Armed men pretending to be policemen kidnapped the two language teachers in Quetta, the capital of the southwestern province, on May 24.
The kidnapping was a rare security incident involving Chinese nationals in Pakistan, where Beijing has pledged $57 billion under its massive "Belt and Road" initiative to build rail, road and power infrastructure. In keeping with the Chinese Tradition of Politeness And Diplomacy , the public "gravely concerned" could turn into "something nasty " ( Chini Danda !) in private
A Baluchistan government spokesman said officials were in the process of confirming whether the report was correct. China's Foreign Ministry expressed grave concern. Any country would when it involves its citizens ! unless you are GOP, where they do not care !!. "We have been trying to rescue the two kidnapped hostages over the past days. The Chinese side is working to learn about and verify relevant information through various channels, including working with Pakistani authorities," the ministry said in a short statement. "The Chinese side is firmly opposed to the acts of kidnapping civilians in any form, as well as terrorism and extreme violence in any form," it said. There was no immediate comment from Pakistan's interior ministry or its foreign office. Trying to figure out a way to shift blame on someone else
China has not formally identified the two teachers. Chinese media has cited foreign media reports as identifying the two as a man and a woman who worked for a private language school. The claim of the killings sparked anger on Chinese social media, with some strongly anti-Muslim comments. Pakistan is Muslim !
China's ambassador to Pakistan and other officials have often urged ( language of "Diplomacy" !) Islamabad to improve security, especially in Baluchistan. The numbers of Pakistanis studying Mandarin has skyrocketed since 2014, when President Xi Jinping signed off on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.Consequently, any attack on Chinese interests in Pakistan would come as an embarrassment to Islamabad, which greatly prizes its relationship with Beijing. The two refer to each other as "all weather friends".

So-Called JIT Questions For Which Ganja-ji And His Son Has No Answers

How to avoid embarrassment from ‘diamonds’ at ‘butcher’s shop’

One PML-N leader likened the JIT to a butcher’s shop.
Prime minister’s cousin (Tariq Shafi) has been quoted by a newspaper as saying that the JIT warned him that he could be imprisoned for 16 years because of his statement
The questions the Sharifs are required to answer are:

How was the Gulf Steel Mills set up? What happened with the returns of Gulf Steel Mills? How did the money earned from Gulf Steel Mills end up in Jeddah, Qatar and Britain? What were the reasons for selling Gulf Steel Mills? Did the young Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz have resources enough to buy flats in London in the 90s? Is the Qatari letter a reality or just a fabricated letter? Who is the real owner of Neilson and Nescol? How did the bearer certificates of the offshore companies turn into flats? Where did Hassan Nawaz get the money from for a flagship company and business in London, while there is no transaction recorded to prove the flow of money? How was Hill Metal Company set up? How did Hussain Nawaz gift millions of rupees to his father and where did the money for those gifts come from?
For the so-called JIT to probe so deep and so openly into the "heart and soul" of the Sharif Clan is no mean feat. Obviously, they have some powerful men standing behind him ( figuratively !) . (Some Ganja family members were complaining that ISI and MI members are part of the so-called JIT Team . The Deep State has denied this canard ! ) With the "Qatari Prince" now declining to "support" Sharif's version of the "novel", in front of the JIT ( domestic compulsions in Qatar !), Ganja is left alone to fend for himself

PS: Ganja his minions and his cronies have threatened that the PML - N will take to the streets, if the final verdict does not go their way !

A Paki Lawyer's Encounter With The "Super Intelligent" "Super Confident" ,"Super- Competent", And "Super- Paki" ( My Laard) Khawar Qureshi. QC. :D

My encounter with Khawar Qureshi

Ever since the International Court of Justice order came out asking Pakistan to stall Kulbhushan Jadhav’s execution and provide him consular access, there has been great uproar in the media surrounding Pakistan’s legal agent Barrister Khawar Qureshi.
There have been remarks and comments scrutinizing the legal counsel’s competence, experience and performance.
Several prominent lawyers of Pakistan, though not authorities on international law, have criticized Pakistan’s decision to appoint him as legal counsel and to accept the ICJ’s jurisdiction on the matter. The negative media campaigns, criticism from various corners, and the unfavorable yet understandably inevitable Court order, led to certain news outlets suggesting the Government of Pakistan replace Barrister Qureshi with the incumbent Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf Ali. I believe that he has been demoted from his "first place" standing.!
But what do we really know about Khawar Qureshi? Was he really that severely incompetent to be entrusted with a matter of such national importance? Did nepotism and patronage find its way even in matters with respect to India and the International Court, leading to an ill-conceived appointment? While these are all pertinent questions which all citizens should be asking the Government, the citizenry should make an effort to be well-informed rather than jumping on the bandwagon of baseless propaganda circulated by media houses. "Everyone" knows that he is a Pakjabi who has made good in Londonsitan ; that he still has "some powerful connections" in Pakiland which helped him get this assignment for his British Firm . At nowwe also know that he is "slightly over-rated" and he has a heavy Pakjabi accent. And he "heavily" overcharged the GOP for his services
This takes me back to my earlier question; who is Khawar Qureshi? Barrister Khawar Qureshi has the honor of possessing the prestigious tittle of Queens Counsel (QC), conferred upon the finest of barristers. He is part of Serle Court - a well-reputed barristers chambers situated in Lincolns Inn, London - possessing expertise in a variety of areas including private and public international law.Khawar Qureshi was called to the Bar in 1990 and took Silk in 2006.In 1993, he was the youngest advocate to have appeared in the ICJ, thereby proving wrong the claims that the Jadhav case was his first time before the Court. He has taught Commercial law at Cambridge University, Public International law at Kings College London and was appointed a Visiting professor of Commercial Law at the University of London in 2006..... :(( Reads like a Public Release of a PR Firm
o conclude, it is fair to state that the criticism meted towards Barrister Khawer Qureshi is baseless and lacks in substance. His credentials as a well-established barrister in areas of private and public international law speak for themselves. We must understand that some orders are inevitable in nature and there is a limited role which the lawyer can play. Moreover, the ICJ being the UN’s legal organ, is not immune from the role of power politics and diplomatic muscle. When I tuned in to watch the ICJ proceedings of the Jadav case, I was delighted to see Khawar Qureshi representing Pakistan, as I felt we were in safe hands.Only recently I discovered that he had represented India, back in 2004, in an international Arbitration in the U.

Is Mr Valika receiving something in return for his "glowing BS" in a national newspaper. Maybe, a temporary assignment in" My Laard's" London Legal Firm to further hone his legal skills. Or at the least , free room and board in Londonistan for his annual R&R from Pakistan

I agree. Statecraft is not being about moralistic. Practice of statecraft is not for the weak hearted. But, things have started to change. I hope this change picks up steam and attains fullness in the upcoming seven years, earlier than later.

Is it possible that raw@heel (pbuh) sh'reef the magnificent "resigned" his role because he saw this "qatari masla' writing on the wall ahead of time? After all, if al saud and the sunni birathari created the islamic army to combat "the bad" terrorists, and qatar has just been accused of supporting terrorism, then Raw@heel would have to lead from the front against a small army which probably has paki conscripts as cannon fodder. Paki against a paki...doesn't look good for a man with presidential ambitions.

Just a thought, because of the timing.

This (below ) IMO, is the "interesting part" in the "Daily Beast" piece which (i) drew a lot of anger against the Saudis in the Paki Press (ii) ridiculed Ganja Sharif ( who had high hopes for being on the Saudi "A List" ) and brought him "crashing back to earth" !
Adding humiliation to diplomatic discomfort, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif—who reportedly practiced his speech while flying to Riyadh  —was not allowed to address the Saudi-American summit, presumably because the Saudis knew he would make a case for his country’s difficult geo-political position. The snub has angered many here. :rotfl:

ASTANA: India and Pakistan on Friday joined the SCO with Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserting that unless strong and coordinated efforts are made, the issues of radicalisation and financing and training of terrorists would be impossible to address, in a veiled dig at Islamabad.

Pakistan ranked fourth most unsafe country for tourists

With raging militancy, frequent terror attacks and deteriorating law and order, it comes as no surprise that Pakistan has landed fourth on a list of the 20 most dangerous countries in the world for tourists.

Pakistan earned this distinction on the World Economic Forum’s Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report, released earlier this week, which analyses the state of the tourism sector and travel in 136 countries.

The report ranks the safety of each of these countries based on measuring “the extent to which a country exposes tourists and businesses to security risks mainly related to serious harm to people (violence and terrorism).” However, petty crime is not taken into account.

The world’s most dangerous destinations

From the list, here are 10 of the most dangerous countries in the world for tourists so you might know which ones to avoid on your summer getaway.

10. Ukraine

An armed conflict between national forces and Russian-backed separatists has resulted in scores of casualties in the country.

9. Honduras

The Central American country is home to one of the world’s highest murder rates.

8. Kenya

Bombings and terrorist attacks are quite common in the country.

7. Egypt

The volatile country has been plagued by the presence of several terrorist groups which frequently target public places. The country’s Coptic Christian community is also facing attacks by the Islamic State.

6. Venezuela

The South American country is in the grips of brutal economic crisis, facing shortages of basic goods such as water, food, medicine and electricity, leading to social unrest and crime throughout Venezuela.

5. Nigeria

Extremist groups Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa are responsible for much of the violence that occurs in Nigeria. They commonly target heavily populated areas like churches, schools, restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues

Pakistan ranks third on list of countries with worst reputation

4. Pakistan

Home to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, its offshoots and several sectarian-based extremism organisations, Pakistan has lost thousands of people to terrorism in the last decade or more. Religious minorities are frequently targeted with impunity, while the government has also restricted access for foreigners to several areas.

3. El Salvador

The Central American nation has one of the world’s highest homicide levels. It is also known for gang violence which includes everything from extortion to arms and drug trafficking.

2. Yemen

Yemen is home to a civil war for the past few years and is also being targeted by Saudi Arabia-led coalition airstrikes against Houthi rebels. The humanitarian crisis is worsening every day in the country which is also now facing a cholera outbreak.

1. Colombia

Colombia isn’t as dangerous as it once was. The FARC guerrilla movement, which had been fighting the government of the South American country for decades, laid down arms last year. However, it’s still not entirely safe: armed gangs are responsible for kidnappings, drug trafficking, and robberies that occur throughout the country, while acts of terrorism, like explosions, are common in many big cities like Bogota.

An intelligent mulla grills brown khaki jarnail and asks some right questions such as :

How come Zia as shaagird is hero and his students ,the taliban, who took up arms are terrorists ? If taliban is terrorist , so is Zia , so is musharraf.

Secondly , he asks the jarnail who are we with in Afghanistan . If pak is with taliban , what is it doing in NATO alliance ? If pak is with NATO , then how come Ghani and Nato are upset with pakistan?

This is one Mullah who is asking the right questions and exposing bare the duplicity of al baki soiled khaki pants.

And then you read this crap and wonder what the heck are these cricketers smoking?

These legendary cricketers feel safer in Pakistan than in England

Former Australian captain Ian Chappell has said that he feels safer in Pakistan than in England
“We have only been here for a few days, we are probably safer in Islamabad than we are in England at the moment

World Oceans Day: Karachi pollution slowly killing Arabian Sea

"Karachi has around 10,000 industrial units, which produce 80 million gallon per day (MGD) of content comprising toxic metals and chemicals every day which is not treated anywhere and is poured directly into the sea," said Naeem Mughal, former director general, Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
Beside that Karachi produces 12,000 tons of solid waste every day, but due to lack of scientific dumping site, waste is thrown along Arabian Sea, which too ultimately reaches into the sea. Major portion of the urban waste comprises plastic, a worst enemy for the ocean life.
Pollution is not only threatening marine life, fish catch and aesthetic value, but it is also causing disasters. According to scientists, Arabian Sea's tropical cyclones that are now becoming devastating, are also caused by increasing marine pollution.

India is acting like an aggressor nation: FO
The usual belly aches.

Pakistan has always exercised restraint but India’s belligerence was a threat to the regional peace and security
It appears that India is seeking a conflict with Pakistan.
Pakistan has no desire to escalate tension
India is playing havocs with the peace and stability of the region
It is involved in deteriorating Pak-Afghan relations whereas it is also using Afghanistan’s soil against Pakistan.

Sure he does. The Pakis and their co-religionists in Englandistan are pursuing their favorite pastime of IT. In Bakistan, Ian Chappell will be feted with 'legendary' hospitality and ass-kissing reserved for the goras.

Although most candidates succeeded in the previous elections but Afzal Khan from Gorton area of Manchester and Muhammad Yaseen from Bendford have been elected on Labour party’s tickets for the first time.

Bartania surrendering even more to Islam, with the election of a dozen Brit-Pakis to their parliament. Don't know if these Pakis pulled off the canard of them being the biggest victims of terror to get sympathy votes.
