FIA asks Interpol to issue red warrant against Altaf

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has sent another application to Interpol requesting the issuance of a red warrant against Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) leader Altaf Hussain.According to the Interior Ministry, the required legal formalities have been fulfilled as it seeks the arrest of the MQM founder. This is the second request by FIA to the global policing organisation to arrest Hussain after the first one was rejected earlier this year.
Altaf has been a "thorn in the side of the Paki Establishment . This request will most likely be rejected as well !
Earlier in February this year, Interpol had refused to issue a red warrant against the MQM founder, saying it did not intervene in the political and religious matters of a state. Nothing has changed since Feb !
Hussain, who is wanted in Pakistan for a string of criminal cases, fell out of favour with mainstream MQM workers after an inflammatory speech on August 22 last year which saw treason allegations and cases being registered against the estranged party leader  Paki Establishment has been trying to arrange defections from Altaf's party !

No Pakistani university in top 400 of QS world ranking :D

QS World University Rankings, the international ranking organization, has released its rankings and status for higher education institutes for 2018. No Pakistani university has made it to the top 400 universities of the world
While for the other countries of the world, Pakistan’s neighbor India has 8 universities in the top 500 universities of the world whereas China has 21, Taiwan has 11, Saudi Arabia has 4 and Malaysia has 5 universities in the top and peak 500 universities.

Pakistan has some of the "best" Universities in the field of "Islamic Studies" like the Binori Masjid of Karachi ( alma mater of Maulana Masood of Jash ) and the University of Akora Khattack ( Alma mater of late Mullah Omar) . Surprising that they did not make the list

Another infiltration bid foiled in Kashmir, 6 terrorists killed
The army on Friday killed six terrorists near the Line of Control as it foiled fifth infiltration bid from Pakistan into Kashmir in three days, raising to 13 the total number of infiltrators gunned down during this period.
The six terrorists were killed in Uri sector during a counter-infiltration operation launched on Thursday after the troops detected movement of ultras trying to sneak into the valley, an army official said.
With this operation, the total number of infiltrating terrorists killed over the last three days in various sectors has gone up to 13.
A defence spokesman had said that multiple attempts made by Pakistan Army to push armed infiltrators across the LoC were foiled by the troops at Machhil and Naugam sectors in Kupwara district, Gurez in Bandipora district and Uri in Baramulla, resulting in the killing of seven militants.

question for the group. Has Raheel Sharif actually resigned from or been kicked out of the big Sunni Military coalition? I've seen a few posts on this thread alluding to such a thing, but I haven't seen any Pak (or other) media reporting on it.

Although most candidates succeeded in the previous elections but Afzal Khan from Gorton area of Manchester and Muhammad Yaseen from Bendford have been elected on Labour party’s tickets for the first time.

Bartania surrendering even more to Islam, with the election of a dozen Brit-Pakis to their parliament. Don't know if these Pakis pulled off the canard of them being the biggest victims of terror to get sympathy votes.

God will provide', say 3 Pakistani men who fathered 96 kids

BANNU: Three men who have fathered nearly 100 children among them are doing their bit for Pakistan's skyrocketing population, which is being counted for the first time in 19 years.

But in a country where experts warn the surging populace is gouging into hard-won economic gains and social services, the three patriarchs are unconcerned. Allah, they say, will provide.

Pakistan has the highest birth rate in South Asia at around three children per woman, according to the World Bank and government figures, and the census is expected to show that growth remains high.

"God has created the entire universe and all human beings, so why should I stop the natural process of a baby's birth?" asks Gulzar Khan, a father of 36, citing one of the strongest influences in the region: the belief that Islam prevents family planning.

Tribal enmity is another factor in the northwest, where the 57-year-old lives in the city of Bannu with his third wife, who is pregnant.

"We wanted to be stronger," the 57-year-old tells AFP, surrounded by 23 of his offspring -- so many, he observes, they don't need friends to play a full cricket match.

Polygamy is legal but rare in Pakistan, and families like Khan's are not the norm, though the beliefs he holds are widespread.

The last census, held in 1998, showed Pakistan had a population of up to 135 million. Estimates suggest the new census - carried out earlier this year, with the preliminary results due by the end of July - will put the figure closer to 200 million.
The economy is expanding faster than it has in a decade, and last month Islamabad hiked its development budget by 40 percent.

But observers have warned the population boom is negating any progress, using up valuable resources in a young country where jobs are scarce and nearly 60 million people live below the poverty line.

"It definitely is a problem because it is affecting health outcomes adversely and also eating into development gains," says Zeba A. Sathar, country director for the UN population council.

Sathar predicted the census would show growth has slowed due to lower fertility rates, though she added it would remain among the highest rates in the region.

"There has to be a clear enunciation of need to slow growth as a positive policy lever," she said. "And then next a good, effective health system that provides information and services of quality."

Khan's brother, Mastan Khan Wazir -- one of his 15 siblings -- also has three wives. So far, Wazir has only fathered 22 children but, like his brother, he says his grandchildren are too numerous to count.

The 70-year-old, with his bushy moustaches and bejewelled fingers, is a minor celebrity in North Waziristan tribal district, where his blinged out jeep -- done in the style of Pakistan's famous "jingle trucks", with Pashto music pouring from the stereo -- is a familiar sight.

"God has promised that he will provide food and resources but people have weak faith," he tells AFP, wearing a traditional Waziristani turban.

In the southwestern city of Quetta in Balochistan province, Jan Mohammed - the father of 38 children - agrees, despite having previously called on the government to provide resources for his family.

Jan spoke with AFP in 2016 to voice his desire for a fourth wife as he continues his mission of having 100 children. No woman has yet agreed, he says, but he has not given up.

"The more Muslims grow, the more their enemies will fear them... Muslims should go for more and more children," he said.
Denied their husbands' permission to speak, none of the three men's wives could give their views on family planning in Islam.

But there is already "abundant" awareness in Pakistan about the need for birth spacing, or allowing a woman's body to rest for at least 18 months between pregnancies, Sathar said.

"The need is for clear information about the methods available, how they work, their possible side effects and where to get them. That is missing," she added.

Giving women more of a choice in the matter could help, argues Aisha Sarwari, a feminist activist who has previously written on population and women's rights.

"Access to birth control for women can be a game changer," she told AFP. "Ultimately the impact is that there are more resources to go around ... Empowered women have fewer children, and this creates a mindset that leads to prosperity within families that is likely to be emulated across communities."

Khan, at least, admitted there could be some benefits to slowing down.

For one thing, tribal enmity in the northwest has decreased in recent years, he said. "Now, with the grace of God, the situation has changed - war and fighting is finished - so, now, a decrease in the population would not be bad."

It would also free him up for other leisure activities, he says, adding wistfully: "If one had fewer children, one would have more time to make love with his wives."

Call to probe Musharraf-era nuclear proliferation.

Senator Farhatullah Babar of the Pakistan Peoples Party, who sought “thorough investigations” into nuclear proliferation, said that Gen Musharraf in his book In the Line of Fire had conceded that several tonnes of nuclear material and drawings had been smuggled from Pakistan to Iran, Libya and North Korea.

NBP president joins PM's cousin, son in levelling accusations against Panamagate JIT

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) President Saeed Ahmed has written to the Supreme Court alleging that some members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the prime minister's family had been mistreating him, DawnNews reported Saturday.Ahmed's letter, addressed to the SC registrar, alleges that the behaviour of some JIT members towards him was "threatening and authoritative"."I felt that during questioning I was insulted, threatened, subjected to undue pressure," the NBP president has alleged. The so-called JIT has been giving a "hard time" to Ganja's family and cronies. He is one of them, ( who helped him "milk" the system !) so he should expect this kind of "treatment ". No use complaining
He has also complained about being made to wait before he appeared for his session with the JIT."I was at the Judicial Academy for 12 hours. The long wait during appearances and particularly the first five-hour wait was very unnerving," he complained."I do realise that I was there for a criminal investigation as a witness but it seems I was being punished as a condemned person," Ahmed added.
Ahmed's name had come into the national limelight when, after the Musharraf coup in 1998, current Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had declared him a "close friend" and claimed that Ahmed's accounts had been used to 'handle' the Sharif family's finances. When he was being "used" then by the Sharif Family and Dar , he did not complain ! Probably, received "consideration" for his co-operation
Earlier, the prime minister's elder son, Hussain Nawaz, had approached the SC raising objections against two members of the JIT. He had expressed apprehensions that the presence of these officers may affect the fairness and impartiality of the JIT and its findings.
On the other hand, the JIT has held its 33rd session with the Federal Investigation Authority's Additional Director General Wajid Zia in the chair to deliberate on the statements provided by the prime minister's sons Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz. The meeting, held at the Federal Judicial Academy, where the JIT has set up its secretariat, reportedly also discussed the threats being received by the JIT members. It is hard to imagine that in a country like Pakistan, an investigation can be completed in an honest and objective way ! Ganja and his Party have indirectly hinted that "street protests" - IOW( "goonda-gardi ) will take place if things do not "finish" their way !

PEREGRINE-JI:
Thanks for posting this article. It is also printed in Paki Newspapers as well. IMO , it is "entertainment reading" for Western readers. "Pakistan 101," for those not familiar with this "exploding" nation .

PS: A nation sets an example by the actions of its leaders. Although ( as far as we know !) Ganja Sharif has remained "chaste" with one wife, the same cannot be said for his younger brother , Shahbaz ( AKA ShowBaz Sharif!) . Rumours abound that this (cancer surviving!) Romeo is always looking around for "fresh meat" , although he already has (at least ) TWO WIVES tucked away in the environs of La- Whore

Pakistan Blasphemy Laws Now Targeting Shias !

Pakistani sentenced to death for blasphemy on social media
AP

A government prosecutor says a judge has sentenced a minority Shi'ite Muslim to death for sharing blasphemous content about Islam on social media.Shafiq Chaudhry says Judge Shabir Ahmed announced the sentence for 30-year-old Taimore Raza on Saturday in Bahawalpur, a city in eastern Punjab province. Raza was arrested last year for allegedly posted derogatory content about Sunni Muslim religious leaders and wives of the Prophet Mohammed on Facebook.Pakistan is a predominantly Sunni Muslim country and the rivalry between Shiite and Sunni Muslims dates back to the seventh century when they had a falling out over who should be the heir to Islam’s prophet Mohammed. Under Pakistan’s harsh blasphemy laws, anyone accused of insulting God, Islam or other religious personalities can be sentenced to death.

Christians, Hindus and Ahmedi Muslims are the usual targets of this all pervasive law. Now the law is being "tested" against the Shias . Wonder who is next ? Barelvi Muslims , who do not adhere to the Wahabi Version of Malsi

PS: All this "policing" is (hopefully !) expected to disappear once the Chini Internet and Satellite System is fully installed in Pakiland

Saudi Magnanimity Towards The Aam Abduls Of Pakistan

Pakistan receives 1. lac visa stamping stickers from Saudi authorities

Saudi authorities have sent visa stamping stickers to Pakistan to address the problems being faced by Pakistani pilgrims in obtaining visas for performing Umrah.According to media reports Saudi government has sent 1,00,000 visa stamping stickers to Karachi and Islamabad and this way the difficulties of Umrah pilgrims are likely to be allayed to considerable extent. Due to non availability of these stickers more than 55,000 Pakistani Umrah pilgrims could not leave for Saudi Arabia to perform their Umrah. Several pilgrims had got cancelled their flights and hotel booking for want of stamping stickers. While taking notice of media report, ( so the Saudis are "sensitive" to their media image in Pakistan. So wanted to "act fast", before any lasting damage be made in Paki eyes in light of their recent treatment to Ganja in Ryadh ! . What better way than to play upon this then the "Hajj factor" ) Saudi authorities have sent visa stickers on emergency basis and Karachi and Islamabad Consulates have started issuing visas.

Hussain hopes no more JIT appearance

The so-called JIT and the Paki Media should respect "this guy's" privacy and leave him alone . Ganja Junior (living his life in Londonsitan !) should however get used to the "rough and tumble" politics of Pakiland, if Abbaji ( Nawaz) wants to "retire" -from active politics - in Londonistan to manage " The Estate" and transfer power to him. Time will tell ! Meanwhile let him "practice Roza" In the Holy Month Of Ramza , "breaking bread" twice daily with his near and dear ones at his family's "palace" in Raiwind

Dus Percenti's Schadenfreund ( Malicious Joy At The Misfortune Of Others !) For The Sharif Family

Rulers can’t escape accountability: Zardari

SLAMABAD - Former Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said that the rulers could not escape accountability by targeting the judiciary.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman said that his party believed in across-the-board accountability but at the same time it would not “permit subverting the lawful investigative and judicial processes to escape accountability.”Zardari condemned the statement of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif accusing the Supreme Court of partiality and discrimination and holding only the Sharif family accountable as “irresponsible, contemptuous and unacceptable”.He demanded that Shehbaz Sharif should withdraw his ‘unwarranted and provocative remarks and seek apology.
“It is shocking that from the picture of Hussain Nawaz appearing before the Joint Investigation Team Shehbaz Sharif should have concluded that the Supreme Court was aiming only at the Sharif family,” the PPP leader said in a statement. He said that those who bemoan that “this child [Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz] was made to sit there” would do well to recall how the twice elected Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto would sit on bricks piled outside jails with small children in her arms seeking justice.“The PPP then did not accuse the Supreme Court for training guns on the party,” Zardari said. To be fair, I do not blame Zardari one bit of taking a dig at Ganja's family. Just the other day, Ganja and his party were making fun of Oxford Educated Zardari Junior when he joined the family business ( of politics ) and was taking Urdu lessons !
Earlier, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned the government that the PPP would stand by the constitutional institutions in case of any confrontation. Waiting in the wings to take over

GE Transportation to build 20 locomotives for Pakistan

GE Transportation workers in Erie will have more work to do, thanks to a new order for 20 locomotives from Pakistan Railways.
At about 2,000 horsepower, the locomotives being built for Pakistan are lighter and less powerful than the 4,600 horsepower locomotives the company builds for North American customers.Am sure that "Nangha Bhooga" Pakistan must have wrangled some sort of a loan cum baksheek from Massa , as I do not see this insolvent entity finding funds to fund the purchase. Hope some maintenance package is also included !
.

PS: Will sure be better quality than the second hand and junk Chini-maal had the Pak Railways had been using in the past!

Google translate of the chinese newspaper page says this.

On June 9, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Huahun Chun said in a press note that the Chinese side noted that two Chinese people who were kidnapped in Pakistan "have been killed" are reporting through various means, including to Pakistan To verify the situation.

On 24 May, two Chinese citizens were kidnapped in a town called "Zhenna Town" in Quetta, Baluchistan, Pakistan. Prior to foreign media reports that the two Chinese people in the local identity is "private language school teachers." But as the investigation of the incident deepens, more background information about the two victims gradually surfaced.

A Korean-led "religious" activity

Zhenna town of a local hotel owner said that the two kidnappers usually do not act alone, but with another 11 people to form a relatively closed organization. He said that these people headed by a Korean, nominally a language school called "ARK Academy". However, their behavior and ordinary teachers or students are not exactly the same. In addition to learning Urdu, these 13 people held a collective meeting every day, as well as a "Christian" color of the religious ceremony.

Local people reflect that the 13 people often form a group of 3-5 people go out separately, visit the local beliefs of Muslim residents, for their preaching Christian classics, playing with Christian color music, and invite these people to participate in their own Organized by the "activities". And the locals who participated in these activities said that these activities were basically a "religious ritual" that preached Christian doctrine.

As these activities become more frequent, the 13 people in the local attention and vigilance is also growing, and this is the risk for them is self-evident. In addition to religious and cultural conflicts, their Baluchistan province is an active part of extremist forces and has been the target of many large-scale terrorist attacks. In a month before the kidnapping incident, in August 2016, a public hospital in the Baltic City of the Baluchistan province suffered a shooting and explosion, killing 93 people; in October, the city's police academy was again attacked, Resulting in the death of 62 people, the extreme organization of the "Islamic countries," a branch announced responsibility for this.

Two kidnapped Chinese citizens are "90"

As a large country to send missionaries overseas, South Korea in the Middle East Islamic countries missionary activities has long been a topic. An anonymous official from the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs told South Korea's "Korean Daily" in 2009 that more than 80 South Korean missionaries were deported from Iran, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and other Middle East Islamic countries from July to August. The Jordanian government has warned Seoul that there may be a terrorist attack against South Korean missionaries.

"For the safety of overseas citizens, the government is considering a number of prudent measures." The South Korean official said that the religious mission of overseas missionary restrictions.

Analysis of the relevant people, from the current view, under these restrictions, Chinese citizens, especially young people who are not yet mature thinking, in high-risk areas engaged in missionary activities at risk not undervalued.

How To Get "Free Room And Board" Pakistani Style :D

PML-N Senator Pretends to be PIA Staff for Free Hotel Stay in London

According to documents sent in by PIA’s London crew, PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan impersonated himself as a PIA employee while he traveled to London recently. As reported by ARY News, the senator was travelling to London for medical treatment. Once he got there, he stayed in a luxury hotel at PIA’s expense. :!: Mr. Mushahidullah stayed in the Marriot Hotel from 21st March to 28th March, while registering himself as a PIA employee. The hotel bill had his name mentioned, under the guise of PIA staff. Did he "wear" Airline Uniform as disguise :D
Afterwards, when he came back to Pakistan, he received a sum of Rs. 1.95 million as medical expenses from the government ( GOP has every right to sue if this slander is false  ) . Given as how Mr. Mushahidullah used PIA’s funds during his stay at London, further receiving those additional funds gives an impression that he paid for his overseas stay out of his own pocket. What’s interesting here is that Mr. Mushahidullah’s brother is a PIA station manager at the London Heathrow airport. This would answer the question over why he stayed on PIA’s expense in London. To sum it all up, he traveled to London, stayed there for free and came back home to receive around Rs. 2 million.
:rotfl: So, it proves once again, that with the "right sifarish", nothing is impossible in Pakistan !!! With the right sifarish, and the Nawaz Muslim League connections, it is unlikely that the brother would lose his job as a PIA Station Manager !!!
In other news, the national carrier has arranged for special flights to bring back Pakistani pilgrims back from Doha, Qatar. The pilgrims were stuck in Doha after Saudi Arabia cut off all land and air connections with Qatar due to political tensions.PIA CEO Nayyar Hayat ordered for special flights to be arranged for the pilgrims and PIA’s Country Manager to Qatar to help out the stranded Pakistanis in Qatar. In respect for the Honour and Dignity of Pakistan ( H&D) , this and other newspaper should go easy on the antics of this discredited national carrier . They should look for "raw material" for their stories elsewhere

PS: Did the newspaper investigate whether the said "Senator" , travelled on PIA as a staff member without ticket due to the "influence" of his brother !!!

Xi Jinping snubs Nawaz Sharif by skipping bilateral meet after murder of Chinese nationals :((
BEIJING: In a rare snub to all-weather ally Pakistan, Chinese President Xi Jinping skipped a customary meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the SCO summit in Astana after the murder of two Chinese teachers in Balochistan.

Sharif returned from Astana after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit on the sidelines of which he met Presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Russia.

Conspicuously absent was a meeting with Xi.

Chinese state-run media highlighted Xi's meetings with Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Xi's unprecedented snub followed deep disappointment and grief among Chinese public over the slaying of the two Chinese citizens who were kidnapped last month from Quetta in Balochistan.

The two were brutally murdered reportedly by Islamic State (IS) militants. The news of their murders was made public ahead of the SCO summit held on June 8-9 in which India and Pakistan were admitted as members.

On Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying explained that the murders were no way connected to the $50 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which was opposed by the Baloch nationalists.

The CPEC is part of China's ambitious multi-billion Belt and Road intuitive (BRI).

"This incident will not have any necessary connection with the BRI," nor with the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, meeting being held in Astana, Hua had said.

China has deployed hundreds of Chinese workers to work for the CPEC which connects Gwadar port in Balochistan with China's Xinjiang through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Hua said Pakistan pays great attention to the protection of Chinese citizens in the institutions there and made great efforts for their security.

"As per BRI we should be prepared for risks if want to go global. Since the three years after the BRI," she had said.

Paki Paper Presents Primer On Places Where (Green) Passport Palatable :D
(old article still relevant !)
29 Countries That Pakistani Passport Holders Can Travel To Without A Visa

According to Henley & Partners, those in possession of a Pakistani passport will be able to travel to 29 destinations without requiring a Visa, but there are certain conditions that need to be met in order to provide you a seamless way of travelling to those regions and enjoying your well-deserved vacation.
First off, not requiring a Visa from your region does not necessarily mean that you will not require it when you arrive at your stination (in selected regions that is), which is also known as Visa on arrival. It means that the Visa will be issued after you have landed at your destination, but you will not have to go through the arduous process of procuring it in your own region. In the guise of "enjoying your well deserved vacation", the paper is probably indirectly encouraging "illegal immigration" !
Countries that Issue Visa on Arrival.Countries where you need Visa after arriving at the destination have been listed below. Please note that Visa validity (if necessary) has also been provided next to the country name: Cape Verde Comoros Djibouti Guinea-Bissau: 90 days Madagascar: 90 days Maldives: 30 days
Mauritania Mozambique: 30 days Nepal Palau: 30 days Samoa: Entry permit on arrival and validity of 60 days Seychelles: Visitor’s permit on arrival and validity of 1 month Tanzania Timor-Leste: 30 days Togo: 7 days Tuvalu: 1 month Uganda Potential Pakis should be "warned in advance" that for most of these countries (i) there are no direct flights (ii) the Green Passport is a "red signal" for authorities (iii) it may be not be easy to "practice "Malsi there
Countries that Issue eVisa.Next up, we list those countries where you will need to apply for an eVisa. An eVisa is an alternative to visas and applicants can obtain it after entering their required information and making payments by a credit or debit card.
Countries where you will need an eVisa before arriving at the destination have been listed below. Please note that Visa validity (if necessary) has also been provided next to the country name: Bahrain: 14 days Kenya: 3 months Myanmar: 28 days. eVisa holders must arrive via Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw or Mandalay airports . Zimbabwe. "Prospective candidates for export" should understand that this is a DIY guide for those who want to watch their Rupees and Paisas. For those, who have "money to burn" , "Immigration Consultants" will do the legwork ( forged passport ,forged visa, smuggler fees etc etc ) for a hefty fee . But no worry or stress in transit !!
Countries that Require No Visa ( stress free travel !)

Last, but certainly not least, come those regions where all you have to do is show your passports and you will be granted immediate entry into the country. The list of those countries have been given below: Dominica: Valid for 21 days Haiti: Valid for 3 months Micronesia: 30 days
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: 1 month Trinidad and Tobago: 30 days Vanuatu: 30 days. Malsi not practiced in any one of these  Also food may not be halal !
So there you have it. While possessing a Pakistani passport, these are the countries you can visit, albeit with some terms and conditions attached that you will have to take in consideration. Hopefully, this breakdown of countries will enable you to gain more information on the country you intend on visiting.Good luck and safe travels!

Authorities need to book this newspaper for "breach of national security" !

Message To Other Journalist Criticizing Paki State : Toe The Official Line or Else.....

Pakistani Journalist run over by car days after Police refused to investigate death threats

A Pakistani journalist known for reporting on Pakistan’s minorities was run over by a car on Friday. The incident comes just days after Police refused to investigate death threats against him. 39-year-old Rana Tanveer who works for the Pakistan-based Express Tribune was run over by a speeding car on Friday afternoon as he was coming back from the Punjab Union of Journalists’ meeting. He was taken to hospital with a suspected leg fracture where he is currently awaiting surgery.
Tanveer for years has reported on the country’s increasing persecution and mistreatment of religious minorities. His recent reports on the Freemasons, Ahmadis, and Jains attracted the attention of right-wing Islamist groups, who consider such reporting an act of Blasphemy, a crime punishable by death.Just last week, when Tanveer and his family returned to their home in Lahore they found their house vandalized and graffiti calling him a ‘Kafir‘ (Infidel) & ‘Worthy of Death’ sprayed on the front door of his rented house. So, the Paki authorities have "no problem" if vigilante groups do the "dirty work" of behalf of "Deep State" !
The Police have so far refused to register both of these cases. Several Pakistani Journalists on Friday tweeted condemnations against the attack on Tanveer.

ISLAMABAD: After a minister’s hesitation to share the number of Pakistani troops who laid down their lives in recent incidents of Indian firing from across the Line of Control (LoC), Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani on Tuesday held that no information could be withheld from parliament.

Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali informed the house that as many as 66 civilians had been killed and 288 injured as a result of unprovoked Indian firing from across the LoC, but the number of army troops martyred could not be disclosed due to security reasons.

“We do not want our enemy to know how many soldiers laid down their lives,” he said.

The minister said a letter had been written to the General Headquarters, seeking more details which were expected to be available in a couple of days.

Xi Jinping snubs Sharif after 2 Chinese teachers killed in Pakistan

Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping skipped a customary meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Astana after the murder of two Chinese teachers in Balochistan.was a rare snub as Pakistan is seen as a close ally of China.Sharif met Presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Russia on the sidelines of the SCO meet. However, there was no meeting with the Chinese president.Chinese state-run media highlighted Xi’s meetings with Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.Xi’s unprecedented snub followed deep disappointment and grief among the Chinese public over the killing of the two Chinese citizens who were kidnapped last month from Quetta in Balochistan.

It became only the 33rd film in China to cross a whopping collection of one billion yuan (USD 147 million). It continues to play in over 7,000 screens across China. This bit of trivia news will eventually be reported by the Paki Media . But the Aam Abduls will have a hard time digusting this news

https://tribune.com.pk/story/1431613/british-national-arrested-karachi-aiport-carrying-heroin/
Headline: British national arrested at Karachi aiport (sic) for carrying heroin
First glance at the headline and I thought this fits the genre of 'Pakistan too is a victim of drug smuggling from UK'.
A British national who was trying to smuggle the drugs was arrested by the Customs officials from Karachi airport.

Upon further reading ... One might be lead to believe that it is not Pakis alone that are smuggling drugs to Bartania.
The arrested passenger, identified as Jawed Ali, son of Qurban Ali, is a British national.

Bingo... had to have 'Asian' roots to the story! How very convenient not to mention his Paki origin!

Nanha mujahids are crying foul.
Thousands of toy guns seized in Karachi raids

Karachi police on Saturday launched a crackdown against sale of toy guns, a day after Sindh home department imposed a ban on sale of such guns for two months in the metropolis, officials said.
SSP Chandio pointed out that police have received reports that such toy guns were being used by street criminals to carry out crimes.
Besides, with Eidul Fitr approaching, the sale of toy guns tend to increase manifold and mostly children buy and play with them, which sometimes leads to their eyes getting hurt accidentally.

Pakistani Christians Should Be Advised Not To Jump "From Frying Pan Into The Fire"

To escape abusive marriages, many Christians in Pakistan convert to Islam
By Naila Inayat | June 7, 2017

LAHORE, Pakistan (RNS) For a Pakistani Christian like Shameela Masih, divorcing her abusive husband meant two choices — both nearly as bad as staying in the marriage.“I have to prove adultery allegations against him,” said Masih, a 34-year-old mother of two. “The other option I have is to convert to Islam.” Masih recently filed for divorce from a husband she said “frequently beats me up” and a mother-in-law who she said burned her leg with coal. She should know what she is getting into. But "Malsi" will accept her with "open arms" !
But under the majority-Muslim country’s laws, she must produce a witness who would testify to committing adultery with her husband. As a result, she’s now reluctantly planning to renounce her faith.“Converting is the easiest way out,” she said. “My family tells me that they will disown me as a Muslim, but I don’t have a choice.” Caught between a rock and a hard place !
Masih is one of thousands of Christians in Pakistan who have converted to Islam to divorce their spouses under laws stemming from the British colonial period, when traditional morals held sway.
Now Pakistani officials are considering revising the law to make it easier for couples to part ways. Where does the Mullah Brigade- stand on this issue
The Catholic Church opposed the changes.“Marriage is a lifelong and indissoluble union for better or for worse in Christianity – you cannot just amend the laws of God,” said Catholic Bishop James Mathew. “Marriage is a sacrament, not a contract. This change is to defame our religion. Supporting the changes is like going against the Bible.” Masih said Christian leaders like Mathew can overlook her and other women because they weren’t married.“No one cares about us, we are left at the mercy of the Muslims and Christians alike,” she said. “Once in power, they don’t do anything for us. The Christian leaders are more worried about church politics instead of helping poor people like us.”

Pakistani Hindus lose daughters to forced Muslim marriages

LAHORE, Pakistan — Anila Dhawan, 17, was kidnapped last spring from her home in Hyderabad, forced to convert to Islam and marry her abductor.
The police refused to intervene. Her kidnapper told them she ran away from home, and converted to Islam and married him voluntarily. But after her family pressured a court to intervene, she told judges the truth and they freed her.“Her life was threatened,” her attorney, Ramesh Gupta, said. “She wanted to go back to her parents and the statement (she made to the court) helped to sway the decision in her favor and she was freed to join her family.”
Anila is one of many Pakistani Hindu girls kidnapped because of religious discrimination in a country that is 98% Muslim.
Every year, Muslim men abduct and forcibly convert about 1,000 girls — mostly Hindus, but also Christians, according to the South Asia Partnership-Pakistan, a local human rights group. About 5,000 Pakistani Hindus leave every year for neighboring India — where 80% are Hindus — to escape religious persecution, according to the Pakistan Hindu Council.Legislation banning such conversions for those under age 18 was passed unanimously late last year by the legislature in the southern province of Sindh, where the Kohlis live, but it never went into effect. Nothing new here! Under foreign threat ( aid cut, bad publicity ), the Paki Govt changes not only religious laws, but laws banning terrorism, money laundering etc , with no intention ever of implementing same to not annoy "powerful interests". This is one of them !
Hard-line Islamic groups objected to the measure, which called for up to five years in jail for those who force a conversion. They threatened protests, arguing the law was anti-Islamic and part of a conspiracy to make Pakistan a secular country."We will not remain silent on this controversial law," said Hafiz Saeed, a leader of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a self-described charity that the United States has labeled a terrorist group. The measure was vetoed in January by Sindh Gov. Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, who died a few days later. The legislative defeat was a major setback for human rights in Pakistan, activists say.
For example, Ameri Kashi Kohli’s 14-year-old daughter was abducted from her home in southern Pakistan one night last summer as she slept.
The Hindu farm worker was aghast when she discovered what actually happened to her daughter soon after. “She had been converted to Islam and became the second wife of our landlord,” Kohli said. Her landlord falsely claimed the teen was compensation for a $1,000 debt the family owed him.
Making it even worse, the police refused to help. "They just said forget your daughter, she has converted," ( forcibly !) Kohle explained. They said "my daughter Jeevti is now known as Fatima."
“Muslims in Pakistan will never treat Hindus as their own,” said Meera Bai, a Pakistani Hindu immigrant in New Delhi. “For them, we will always remain the ‘other.’" "We escaped religious and cultural persecution when we came to India," she added. "We are happy here. At least here we know that no one will steal our cattle or our young daughters.” As for Kohli, she says her daughter is lost. Soon after the abduction, the landlord produced an affidavit from the teen stating she purposefully ran away, converted and married, something her parents say she was forced to write. She's not allowed to meet with her family or friends, according to her husband's rules. India should raise this issue in international forums !
"There (are) many Fatimas in this country," Kohli said. "But does this country have place for a Jeevti?

Eleven couldn't care less about 2 Christian missionaries (even if from China) being murdered. This snub was probably engineered by the Pak Fauj, who would have conveyed to their master to take such an action to put Nawaz in a tough spot. As long as Nawaz is cornered, Fauj has the upper hand. This keeps the civilian administration under check and not raking up too many inconvenient issues.

Yes, certainly looks like that. They seem nervous, insecure and resigned to their fate. Looks like the visit of the COAS did not bring them any cheer at all. Nothing brings these out more starkly than the downcast face of the Lt. Gen. standing next to Bajwa.
