Saga Of Abducted China Nationals Continues

Abducted Chinese nationals were offered security but they refused: interior ministry
New evidence has surfaced about the abduction and reported murder of two Chinese nationals by the militant Islamic State (IS) group in Quetta, the interior ministry said on Friday. The ministry has cancelled the visa of a South Korean national who it had earlier linked to the abduction incident.
The interior minister was earlier told that the Chinese couple had gone to Quetta and were engaged in preaching under the garb of learning Urdu from a Korean national, Juan Won Seo, who is the owner of ARK Info Tech. So, Paki security literally sleeping on the job during the Holy Month
It was revealed during the investigation, the ministry said on Friday, that South Korea Juan Won Seo alias Gilbert came to Pakistan on a business visa but set up an Urdu academy and was "engaged in illegal activities". Chinis and South Koreans look the same to the "dumb Pakis"! /quote]
It also emerged during the investigation that the two Chinese nationals had been taken into police custody from Quetta's Kharotabad area some time ago and were informed about threat to their security. "They were offered security but they refused to accept the offer," the ministry said.IMO, this is BS to save the precious H&D of Pakiland and soothe the feelings of the Chini masters. Can be filed under "fake news"
The pair, identified by authorities as Lee Zing Yang, 24, and Meng Li Si, 26, were abducted by armed men pretending to be policemen on May 24 in Quetta. Last week, IS' Amaq propaganda agency claimed its members had killed them. The kidnapping was a rare crime against Chinese nationals in Pakistan but it has alarmed the growing Chinese community in the country. The interior ministry on Monday alleged for the first time that the two were preachers who had abused the visa system by posing as business people to enter the country. “Instead of engaging in any business activity they went to Quetta and under the garb of learning Urdu language from a Korean national... were actually engaged in preaching,” the ministry said in a statement. Are the Paki security forces in occupied Balochistan so inefficient that they have not yet been able to recovere the dead bodies

'Forced conversion' of minor creates
uproar Anger in Thar's Hindu community

The alleged abduction and conversion of a minor Hindu girl in Thar has triggered a wave of anger and indignation among members of the area's Hindu community. Rightly so. !
Ravita Meghwar, 16, had allegedly been abducted by men from the Syed community of Wanharo village near Nagarparkar, Thar, on June 6th.Yesterday (Thursday), the girl, along with 'husband' Nawaz Ali Shah, had met with local journalists in Umerkot to 'inform' them of her consent in both embracing Islam and her marriage. She claimed to have embraced Islam in the presence of Pir Mohammad Ayub Jan Farooqui, an Islamic preacher, near the Samarro town of Umerkot district. The same kind of news appears regularly every few months or so
The PML-N MNA from Thar and chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council, Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, has expressed his concern over the alleged abduction and the subsequent conversion of Ravita."A Hindu girl below 18 years of age cannot be converted according to the Hindu Marriage Act," he told Dawn.com.Activists from various communities and political parties have demanded the early recovery of the girl and her production before a court of law. They have termed the abduction of the girl an attempt to vitiate the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere of Thar. As has happened before, no Paki politician or activist dare side with the minority community lest being labelled as a Hindu Agent or Anti - Islam  :
An FIR was registered on the girl's request at the Dano Dhandal police station against four persons — Syed Nawaz Ali Shah, Syed Noor Ali Shah, Mohammad Nohrio Junejo and Sher Ali Junejo — on Thursday night. The station house officer of Dano Dhandal police station, Mubarak Rajar, has said that the couple had submitted an application in Sindh High Court, seeking 'protection' from the girl's parents and other relatives. He also said police were conducting raids to arrest those nominated in the FIR. So, it is once again proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the assurances of Ganja, Dus Percenti, Immy and others to protect the Hindu Community are hollow and false . India must raise this issue in international forums !

PM Nawaz orders zero load-shedding during Champions Trophy final between Pakistan and India

So Ganja Sharif who styles himself as a modern moghal badshah barks his command and by magic the load shedding is supposed to disappear on Sunday, so the Aam Abduls can see Pakistan lose the match ! :D He ordered load shedding to be stopped during the "Holy Month" . Has this happened

Immy Is Going To Be "Pretty Upset" With Jemima Over This :D

Jemima shares Tyrian White’s photo on Instagram, calls her ‘step-daughter’
LONDON – Jemima Goldsmith, ex-wife of PTI chief Imran Khan has extended wishes to Tyrian White, the alleged daughter of Khan, on his birthday calling her “step daughter” and “brilliant person”.She posted a picture with her step daughter on Instagram stating, “I’m lucky enough to call my step daughter. The best company- as illustrated in this photo- I’m pretty much always happy when she’s around”.
Tyrian White is believed to be the alleged daughter of Imran Khan, after her mother Sita White, had once stated this. Imran Khan has always denied the allegations. It is pertinent to mention that Sita White died in the year 2004 after a heart attack.Immy is already under attack by the Islam Brigade, and is labelled as a "Zionist Agent" , just because Jemima Goldsmith has Jewish antecedents. ! And now the Mullah Brigade is again going to rake up the old charges of "philandering" that were once labelled against him for searing a child out of wedlock , although the Kaptaan has done a complete 360 and has now become a staunch Islamist
People from Pakistan also commented on Jemima’s post wishing Tyrian on her birthday. A user, Hadya Ali wrote, “Happy birthday @tyrianwhite love from Pakistan”.
The people also criticised the PTI chief for not accepting her as a daughter on Jemima’s post on Instagram. For the sake of optics (onlee) Immy cannot afford to offend the Aam Abduls by accepting the out of wedlock child as his own. The Abduls would not be able to understand this ! He cannot be a Taliban supporter also and accept this child at the same time. [/quote
According to reports, a picture of the event posted on Jemima Khan’s Twitter account shows Imran Khan’s two sons Qasim Khan and Sulaiman Isa Khan with their alleged sister.

Another underage Hindu girl ‘forcibly converted and married off’ in Tharparkar: Pakistan

http://www.india-aware.com/another-unde ... -pakistan/
The family claims Ravita is underage based on a primary school certificate, which mentions her date of birth as July 14, 2001, making her about 16 years old.

Interestingly, the marriage registrar has mentioned Shah’s year of birth as 1980, and national identity card number on the marriage certificate, but Ravita’s age has been written as “approximately 18” and her NIC number not mentioned. Similarly, the certificate of conversion to Islam also does not mention her date of birth and NIC number, listing her age as “approximately 18.”

The Hindu locals have demanded police to act against Shah and his family members, and annul their marriage at the earliest. The protesters claim the Thar police, under whose jurisdiction Wanharo village falls, failed to pay heed to their complaints over the past 10 days.

Ravita’s brother-in-law, Lajpat Meghwadh, who married her elder sister on April 29 this year said:“My wife is barely 18 years old. How can her younger sister be an adult?”

Lajpat alleged that Ravita was kidnapped to force the Meghwadh family to leave the village.

More and more confirmation of the US help to Pakistan in its efforts to acquire nuclear weapons. What was very obvious to us two decades back is getting confirmed brick-by-brick.
More than the US its China which provided direct maliciously intended nukes to pakistan.

More than the US its India which failed to bomb the crap out of paki nuke assembly site like Israel did in syria and iraq

US did perfectly fine looking after her own interests, really shame is on us that this sunni kabila is flaunting the islamic bomb to us for this long
Absolutely incorrect to argue like this.

If US did 'perfectly fine looking after her own interests' (which by the way is how statecraft works and there is nothing wrong with that), then why are you blaming China alone for its 'maliciously intended nukes'? By the same token, China has also done 'perfectly fine looking after her own interests', hasn't it?

To me this line of argument is an urge to protect the US misdeeds but blame others. The evidence is so loaded against the US for this line of illogic to succeed. Of course, India has to handle its problems itself. But, to absolve the US of its commissions & omissions is completely wrong. It practised double standards against India and India alone, while positively helping India's enemy. As an Indian, I have, therefore, got every right to expose that and blame it.

The NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group or the "London Club" as it is popularly known) which is an outgrowth of the Zangger Committee agreement of August 1974 and the MTCR (Missile Technology Control Regime) which have all been made even more comprehensive through "Energy" and "Wassenaar" protocols (which in c. 1992 banned dual-use technologies even when these were not meant for non-nuclear applications), were specifically meant for India and have affected India's civilian nuclear and space programmes significantly. By c. 1979, the US had restricted severely the export of high-technology and dual-use items to India (through its Export Administration Act, 1979). The ''Entry into Force' (EIF) clause in CTBT was introduced at the instigation of the US targetting India solely, though it was ostensibly meant for the three 'threshold states' - India, Pakistan & Israel. It was the EIF that prompted India to test its weapons in May 1998 before the window closed in September 1999.

After the May, 1989 successful test of Agni-I missile, MTCR rules were tightened against Indian entities and hundreds of items were banned from export to India necessitating India to embark on a massive programme of self-reliance to overcome the denial regime. The Western nations, led by the US, practised a ‘nuclear apartheid’ against India for over four decades. The Indian cryogenic engine programme was sought to be sabotaged through the ruse of a spy-scandal for which eminent engineers suffered for their entire life (of course, partly GoI has to be also blamed for this, which is quite another matter).

While all this was going on against India, what did the US do for furthering the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Pakistan? It passed the Pressler Amendment which was drafted in Islamabad with Pakistani inputs regarding the wordings and clauses and the American Presidents interpreted it deliberately differently to undermine the 'exalted American goals' of nuclear non-proliferation.

In hindsight now and in the context of revelations, the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle fall into place. In an interview in January, 1987 with India’s veteran journalist and ex-diplomat, Kuldip Nayar, A.Q. Khan admitted that Pakistan had the bomb and the CIA was aware of that. In an interview with the Washington Post on February 7, 1992, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Shaharyar Khan admitted that Pakistan had components to make ‘at least one bomb’ and he was revealing the information to bridge the ‘credibility gap’. On the same day, while speaking in the UN, he said that ‘Pakistan possessed the nuclear weapon capability even in 1989’. The mention of the year 1989 was significant as the US had left the Af-Pak region by that time. The attempt by Shahryar Khan was obviously to bail out the US from any disconcerting questions.

Gen. Zia’s support for the US campaign in the Afghan jihad against the Soviets was predicated on two conditions, one, the United States should not raise any queries on Pakistan's nuclear programme and two, there should be no pressure or calls for democratization. On December 26, 1979, Brzezinski told Pres. Jimmy Carter “This will require a review of our policy toward Pakistan, more guarantees to it, and, alas, a decision that our security policy toward Pakistan cannot be dictated by our nonproliferation policy.”

The US colluded with Turkey in allowing export of sensitive items to Pakistan even as it continued to issue demarchés to that country and even as Turkey protested these demarchés citing its weak export laws. So was the then West Germany. Not only did sensitive parts and machinery go to Pakistan, but also German scientists went to that country to train Pakistanis. So have been Dutch companies and Dutch friends of AQ Khan. The US pressurized Holland to release the thief AQ Khan twice (1975 & 1986) from any prosecution and punishment even after he was caught red handed by the Dutch police. No less than the Prime Minister of Holland, Rudd Lubbers, has admitted to this openly. Was the CIA ‘following' A.Q.Khan for three long decades to ferret out more information about AQ Khan’s clandestine work and proliferation (an usual spy operation tactic) without anything to show?

Pakistani operatives caught red-handed within the US for exporting nuclear-related components and devices were treated with kid gloves and also released without prosecution. The US thus violated its own Solarz Amendment of 1985 which demands that the US cutoff all military and economic aid to purportedly non-nuclear nations that illegally export or attempt to export nuclear-related materials from the US. In view of these actions, one must only conclude that the US ensured that Germany also did not act against the violators of its export rules because there is no other explanation for the German silence.

The US also forced the Swiss government to destroy vital evidences of nuclear proliferation by a Swiss family which was part of Dr.A.Q.Khan’s network. By mid-2008, it turned out that the what the Swiss government destroyed was an advanced design for miniaturized nuclear weapon that A.Q.Khan had given. Prior to that, Mr. Tinner, the head of that Swiss family, had worked with Dr. A.Q. Khan for three decades knowing fully well the clandestine nuclear weapons programme of not only Pakistan but also Libya and Iran. As an agent of the CIA, God alone knows when he was recruited but it certainly was only when centrifuge parts were shipped by A.Q.Khan to Libya that the alarm bells were set ringing by the US. Until then, the US did not intervene in the activities of the Tinners when they were helping with the centrifuge programme at Kahuta. In order to cover its tracks, the US forced the Swiss government to destroy all documents and prevent prosecution of the Tinners by all means.

Even as late as c. 2003, the US President George W Bush thought it fit not to apply sanctions on Pakistani entities exporting nuclear technology to North Korea even after Pakistan was implicated. The US Government simply said that ". . . cooperation between the two was a thing of the past". The US Government exhibited a similar attitude to bail out its ally Pakistan in its more dangerous liaisons of nuclear proliferation to other states, especially rogue states, when the State Department of the US briefed other friendly governments with information contrary to what its own intelligence agencies were reporting about the Pakistani-Libyan deal which in fact went back to Z.A.Bhutto’s days. The US said that North Korea sent Uranium Hexafluoride to Libya while it was Pakistan that re-exported this gas to Libya.

Even as the CIA confirmed the supply of M-9 & M-11 missiles to Pakistan by PRC (in c. 1991), the White House refused to take note. The F-16s that were sold to Pakistan came with a rider that they would not be modified to deliver nuclear weapons. But, Pakistan did indeed modify them and the US has since then given three more tranches of F-16s with the same farcical condition. The DoD even lied to the Congress (or played with words to be more charitable) when queried about such Pakistani modifications, as the US President himself did by claiming Pakistan did not 'possess' a nuclear weapon.

There are many instances of such US collusion, collaboration, acquiescence in making Pakistan get its nuclear weapons and delivery systems. The pattern of US behaviour is consistent where it not only exported dual-use material to Pakistan and violated its own laws with impunity, but also forced its allies to do so. The US has justified Pakistan's security paranoia against India for this.

In one way, I would put the US collusion as more dangerous from an Indian perspective than the Chinese assistance because the former allowed the Uranium enrichment process to produce HEU, to come to fruition (the Chinese didn't have this to perfection at that time) by not only allowing the stolen blueprints from Holland to be used without punitive action but also helping Pakistan get all critical items, machinery and components to make that process a success. This is what that has been threatening us now. Pu-based weapons are a more recent phenomenon.

India may have failed to do many things but that doesn't absolve the US of the following:
  • Its nuclear proliferation both directly & indirectly to Pakistan
  • Its attempts at strangulation of genuine Indian efforts in every sphere of activity, including nuclear, until things changed somewhat after 9/11
I do understand perfectly that every country would act in its sole interests and the US did exactly the same. But, that does not acquit it of its criminal intent and actions against Indian interest regardless of whether India should have independently acted against Pakistan or not.

Cut Pakistan aid for supporting terror: 2 US lawmakers to Trump administration

WASHINGTON: Two top lawmakers have accused Pakistan of supporting terrorism and urged the Trump administration to cut military aid to the country, saying the US should make it more difficult for Islamabad to get its hands on American weapons.

During a Congressional hearing this week, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Ted Poe, alleged that Pakistan is engaged in terrorism and asserted that the US needs to cut its military assistance to it.

"We need to go on the record here, on this part of our government, to say that we're not going to be providing weapons to countries like Pakistan that we're afraid will shoot down our own people and afraid we know they're engaged in terrorism," Rohrabacher said during a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Terrorism, Non-proliferation and Trade hearing on Foreign Military Sales.

"We know what they've done now. They still hold Dr. Afridi (who helped locate Osama bin Laden)...in a dungeon," he said.

"We should be facilitating our support and our weapons systems to countries like Egypt that are fighting this threat to Western civilisation, to all of civilisation. And we should make it more difficult not less difficult for countries like Pakistan to get their hands on American weapons," Rohrabacher asserted.

Congressman Ted Poe, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Terrorism, Non-proliferation and Trade, said that the US is having the issue with Pakistan whether "they're loyal or playing us for years on the issue of aid" to Pakistan and sales to Pakistan.

"We were concerned about the Pakistanis scrambling F-16s that we made and sold to the Pakistanis so that they wouldn't shoot down Americans who were doing the job of taking out this terrorist. I personally think Pakistan plays the United States because they turn to China if we don't help them," Poe said.

"I understand all that. They have nuclear weapons and we want to have a relationship with them so that they don't look to China. I get all that. But are we doing anything different on sales to Pakistan to make sure those sales of whatever it is aren't used against us directly or used against us indirectly because of the military helping the Taliban in Afghanistan where were have our troops and those weapons could be used against the United States?" he asked.

"Are we doing anything different to make sure that doesn't happen or are we still using the same formula," Poe questioned.

Tina Kaidanow, Acting Assistant Secretary of State, Political-Military Affairs, told lawmakers that with Pakistan the United States has a robust end use monitoring programme, to ensure that the items that it provides to them are used appropriately and within the boundaries of what the US has asked them to accomplish.

"We regard Pakistan as an important partner on counter- terrorism issues. They will be essential in bringing the Afghan Taliban to the table for peace talks. There are a number of things where we need their cooperation and their assistance," Kaidanow said.

"We do want to help them on the counter-terrorism front. But on the other hand, again, we have very big concerns that we continuously front with them on support for Haqqani, on support for other things. This has been made clear to the Pakistani government at the highest levels," the senior State Department official said.

Gentlemen : It is said that Chester Bowles and Adalai Stevenson met the Sheikh and encouraged him for an independent Kashmir. As such the U S A wanted to make the State of Jammu & Kashmir an Independent Country with Sheikh Abdullah as its Head! Thus the USA would make Abdullah’s J & K a “Dependency” of the United States. As such IMO the USA will continue to have Pakistan and India at Loggerheads.

I am sure you are cognisant of the above, but., here is the Article for other members :

Fully Posted on the Analyzing CPEC Thread

Putting all its eggs in CPEC basket will jeopardise Pakistan's economy, warns IMF
ISLAMABAD:The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said the outlook for Pakistan's economy was "favourable", citing Chinese infrastructure investments among reasons for growth, but warned of risks to recent progress.

Confidence in insurgency-hit Pakistan is growing, with the IMF saying last year that the country had emerged from crisis and stabilised its economy after completing a bailout programme.

However the IMF warned in a report on Friday that macroeconomic stability gains have started to erode and could pose risks to the economic outlook.

"Pakistan's outlook for economic growth is favourable, with real GDP estimated at 5.3 percent in ... 2016/17 and strengthening to 6 percent over the medium term on the back of stepped-up China Pakistan Economic Corridor investments, improved availability of energy, and growth-supporting structural reforms," the report said.

"However, macroeconomic stability gains .have begun to erode and could pose risks to the economic outlook," it added.

Jaish, LeT helped Osama escape, says new book - Suhasini Haidar, The Hindu
Jaish-e-Mohammad Chief Masood Azhar, the man India has been trying unsuccessfully to have designated as a terrorist at the U.N. Security Council for years, and LeT chief Hafiz Saeed helped Osama bin Laden and several other al-Qaeda leaders cross over to Pakistan in 2001 and helped settle them in places like Karachi and Abbottabad, where bin Laden was eventually killed in 2011, a new book by British investigative journalists reveals.

The book, The Exile by Cathy Scott Clark and Adrian Levy, that was released in India on May 29, comes at a significant time as a Pakistani court will rule on Monday on the legality of the current detention of Hafiz Saeed at his home in Lahore.{Hafeez Saeed and the Pakistani government's charade have taken place a few times before. The judge will throw out the detention of the terrorist chief citing lack of evidence because GoP never presents any evidence to the court. Depending on GoP's assessment of the international situation such as the FATF meeting in Spain or the US Lawmakers' attitude etc., GoP may yet again take him under the farcical 'house arrest' drama for three more months}

The international Financial Action Task Force is simultaneously reviewing Pakistan’s actions on terror at its June 18-23 plenary session in the Spanish city of Valencia.

China’s decision

Meanwhile, India is awaiting China’s decision on the designation of Masood Azhar as a U.N.-sanctioned terrorist at the United Nations Security Council 1267 al-Qaeda/ISIL committee. Beijing’s “technical hold” on the process will lapse in late July this year. {China will not reverse its stand}

Surprisingly, dossiers submitted by India so far have referred only to the original links between Azhar and bin Laden, who first met in 1993 when Azhar helped recruit Yemeni mercenaries to fight as jihadis in Somalia, but not to his assistance to bin Laden and the al-Qaeda leadership in the years post-2001.

Indian officials who drafted the original application at the U.N. against the JeM and Masood Azhar, a copy which The Hindu has seen, say that “actionable intelligence” is yet to be found on the exact connection between them.

Hard evidence matters

“We had source-based information about Osama-Azhar links but that’s not enough. Only evidence that can stand the scrutiny of law can be presented at international forums,” a former intelligence official told The Hindu .

Another senior official dealing with counter-terror cooperation internationally said Indian efforts have generally focused more on the groups’ “State-sponsored” links with Pakistan’s ISI, than on the links to international terror groups like al- Qaeda.

The new book by Clark and Levy on Bin Laden’s years after the 9/11 attacks , however, details the operational involvement of JeM, in particular, and LeT in arranging the basic logistics for Al-Qaeda leaders during that time — from guiding Al-Qaeda leaders over the Afghanistan-Pakistan border into safe-houses maintained by them, to providing “a network of informers” and assisting in operations within Pakistan, including the kidnapping and killing of American journalist Daniel Pearl.

Diversion created

The authors go further and suggest that the Parliament attack in Delhi in December 2001 and the resultant India-Pakistan military standoff was staged to create a diversion so Pakistani troops guarding the Tora Bora caves in Afghanistan would be pulled away, allowing Osama Bin Laden to escape, and even the Mumbai attacks were “facilitated by Lashkar, overseen by the ISI’s S-wing (made up of retired ISI officers) and sponsored by Al-Qaeda”.

In written answers to The Hindu , the authors also said the U.S. “was fully aware of the levels of co-operation between LeT / JeM and Al-Qaeda” but that they were “problematic for the CIA, as they knew that there were limits as to how far Pakistan could be pushed”, indicating that the Pakistani army protected them.

In the past two decades, apart from a few periods of detention, both Saeed and Azhar have been free to travel and address rallies in Pakistan.

Osama’s top aide

The authors said they depended not just on intelligence dossiers, but directly on the words of Osama’s top lieutenant and 9/11 planner Khalid Sheikh Mohammad ‘Mokhtar’ (called KSM) as well as letters written by Osama Bin Laden and documents found in his Abbottabad home and the Rawalpindi house where KSM was captured in 2003 to outline the links.

‘Factotums’ employed

Once Bin Laden had arrived in Pakistan, staying first in Karachi, then Swat and then Abbottabad, KSM was responsible for employing several “factotums” to work with the Bin Laden family and other Al-Qaeda leadership including “informers, lowly paid constables, security guards and shopkeepers”.

“The one thing these factotums had in common was membership in Pakistani militant groups Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba, which meant they were disciplined and also known to the Pakistani intelligence establishment,” the book records.

Later, between 2008-2010, Bin Laden visited camps run by LeT/JeM associates training for attacks in Kashmir, and according to the book, visited the LeT camp in Mansehra where the 26/11 Mumbai attackers were being trained, the book adds.

Officials skeptical

When contacted, both MEA and MHA officials were skeptical about whether the revelations in the new book would materially alter the UNSC process, at present being blocked by China, to bring the leaders of Jaish-e-Mohammad and the Lashkar-e-Taiba to justice, or spur Pakistan’s government to take any action against either Azhar or Saeed.

“It was not for lack of factual links that the [Masood Azhar] proposal was blocked,” a senior MEA official involved in the process, observed sarcastically, when asked why the links between Azhar and Bin Laden in the years 2001-2011 had not been given greater prominence in India’s application.
If JeM Chief Masood Azhar & LeT Chief Hafeez Saeed were involved in protecting Osama bin Laden for eleven years, this definitely means that the ISI was the brain behind this effort. This is the big data behind this revelation. Masood & Hafeez are mere foot soldiers.

Chinese netizens demand China to send army to Pakistan to fight IS

BEIJING: Agitated over killing of two Chinese nationals in Pakistan by ISIS militants, Chinese netizens have been demanding that China should send troops to Pakistan to fight against the dreaded terror group.

The reports about killing of two Chinese nationals in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province, has generated a cascade of discussion on Weibo, a Twitter-style Chinese social media platform, with many users calling for revenge, Hong Kong based South China Morning Post reported today.

Social media users are demanding the Chinese government to send troops to Pakistan to seek "payback" for the killing of the two Chinese nationals, the daily said.

"We shall start a war against ISIS, killing them on behalf of the two murdered Chinese," said a user going by the name Zhou Qi Bei Hou.

"It is time to fight violence with violence," another user, Lingchen99096, said.

Pakistan government's claim that the two Chinese nationals were involved in illegal preaching activities has ignited more anger.

"The Pakistani government said they were told that the two Chinese were missionaries. I was just wondering, who told them," the Post quoted one Weibo user as saying.

It is rare that netizens in China could let loose such a barrage of criticism against Pakistan on social media which is controlled by heavy firewalls by Chinese authorities.

It is not clear how this barrage of criticism on the social media appeared despite the firewalls.

Chinese Foreign Ministry on June 9 said Beijing was informed by Pakistan officials that a Chinese man and a woman identified as Lee Zingyang, 24, and Meng Lisi, 26, who were kidnapped last month from Quetta may have been killed.

Reports from Pakistan said the two were killed by Islamic State group after being abducted by gunmen dressed as policemen in Quetta in restive Balochistan province last month.

Chinese officials have yet to confirm the deaths, but a spokesman from the Chinese foreign affairs ministry said on Wednesday that Beijing was investigating whether the two were illegally preaching in Pakistan before they were abducted.

Nothing will happen. People are not fools, they know what is going on. But for one self-serving reason or the other they are keeping quiet about it. The only effect of this article is that this book will sell a few more copies.

Two Navy personnel martyred, three injured in Gwadar gun attack

Two Navy personnel were martyred and three others wounded on Monday when their vehicle came under attack in the Jiwani neighbourhood of Gwadar district in Balochistan.

“Our morale cannot be lowered by such coward acts,” Pakistan Navy spokesperson said.

The miscreants will be punished for what they have done, he added.

According to the spokesperson, the injured are being shifted to Karachi.

Finsbury Park attack: Former EDL leader Tommy Robinson sparks outrage with inflammatory tweets

Tommy Robinson, the former leader of the EDL, has provoked fury after describing the Finsbury Park mosque attack as a “revenge attack”.

The far-right activist, whose real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, tweeted that the place of worship “has a long history of creating terrorists and radical jihadists”.

He later responded to criticism, adding: “Facts are facts. I didn’t create this mosque’s history.”

Responding to Robinson on Twitter, one angry user said: “Does that make it OK then? Because that’s exactly what it sounds like you’re trying to say.”

Another added: “Sorry but what on earth does this have to do with the fact that innocent lives were lost? Are you trying to justify these acts?”

The attack took place outside the Muslim Welfare House, a few hundred metres away from Finsbury Park Mosque.

The mosque once became known as a “haven” for extremists, when radical Islamic cleric Abu Hamza was iman there between 1997 and 2002.

However, it was raided and shut down by police in 2003. Since then it has been run with a board of trustees supported by the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB).

In November 2014, it was given a Visible Quality Mark by national body Community Matters for stamping out extremism.

A spokesperson for HopeNotHate said: “The problem with ‘Tommy Robinson’ is that he gravitates around these incidents like a carrion crow, waiting to pump out his message of division and civil strife and blaming all Muslims for the actions of a few.

“Far from being the answer, Robinson is very much part of the problem. Pushing out messages attacking Muslims is hardly likely to take down the temperature: in fact, the very opposite. Those who push anger and hatred should look closely into their consciences when that is reflected back on the streets.”

Just a few weeks ago, Robinson said militias would be set up to “clean out this Islamic problem” in comments many said were inciting racial hatred.

He was widely condemned for launching into a rant about Islamic extremism moments after the Westminster bridge attack.

The former British National Party member has attempted to shake off his far-right image and ties to football hooliganism after leaving the EDL in 2013.

Robinson joined think tank Quilliam to discuss “alternative ways” of tackling extremism in the UK, but last year announced he was to become the UK co-ordinator for the anti-Islamist movement Pegida, which was founded in Dresden.

Josef Schuster, chairman of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, has described the group as a mix of “neo-Nazis, far-right parties and citizens who think they are finally allowed to show their racism and xenophobia openly.”

The Exile by Cathy Scott Clark and Adrian Levy on OBL visiting the 26/11/2008 terrorists etc is bogus for the US agent DCH was fully involved in the attack.
All that time US was looking for OBL in Pakistan.

I think the book is to absolve ISI role in terrorism.

SS in that Dawn article this part of is true

Rishi Verma please note.

Senator Pressler’s papers are not yet available in the public domain but there is plenty of archival material in the John Glenn archives in the Ohio State University on the subject — since Senator Glenn wrote extensively about the Pressler amendment in his papers and floor speeches.

For the scholars of US non-proliferation policy, Pakistan appears to be an outlier which is conveniently sidelined as an anomaly. But my in-depth research on the subject covering five US administrations from Ford to Bill Clinton suggests that Pakistan secured nuclear capability as a result of deliberate US foreign policy choices. And this policy persisted even after the end of the Cold War.

Those who have made Pakistan the poster child of nuclear proliferation shame the country by invoking AQ Khan, time and again. Interestingly, there is no evidence from any of the five presidential archives I have visited to suggest that any administration reprimanded Pakistan for AQ Khan’s procurements between 1974 and 2001.The US had intel on AQ Khan and his clandestine activities since the late 1970s. Over the next two decades, there is nothing that AQ Khan did that was not in the knowledge of the US intelligence community. But despite grave concerns, the intelligence on AQ Khan was never used as a leverage to restrain Pakistan’s nuclear weapon development.

China May Soon Establish Naval Base in U.S. Ally Pakistan
The Pentagon didn't provide a time frame for such a move. However, a senior Pakistani diplomat confirmed to NBC News that his country invited China to build a naval facility on its territory back in 2011.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the diplomat said this request came just days after U.S. Navy SEALs conducted a secret raid to kill Osama bin Laden in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad, when relations between Washington and Islamabad took a nosedive
Because Pakistan has a smaller conventional army than India's, a Chinese base on its soil could help the Islamic republic compete with its old Hindu rival.
"We need an equalizer against India … Previously, it was the U.S. and Saudi [Arabia]. Now, it's China," one Pakistani intelligence official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Chinese deployments in Pakistan could range from Chinese intelligence personnel, naval forces in ports like Gwadar, air forces to support missions in Central Asia, or even special forces or counterterrorism strike capabilities," he said.
Gwadar already has a commercial port built and operated by Chinese authorities and was touted by one high-ranking Pakistani military official as a possible site for the Chinese base. The other two potential locations are Jiwani and Ormara. All three are close to the vital Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

Noted saar, but even if the US with a wink and a nod gave pakis some blueprint or some glow in the dark material, right now it wont do us any good to blame or "expose" the US.

Why dont we do the same to Mexico or Venezuela. India is still struggling to get on NSG and Security Council membership, we simply dont have the clout to be naming and shaming the big guys.

We need to be 20x stronger, assertive, with internal fundamentals taken care of, then its a different ball game. One necessary step in the process is to do another 1971 on the pakis and in the process stop China ingress towards arabian sea. Till then keep the US on our side for weapons, trade, and support.

Unprovoked firing by Indian forces across the Line of Control (LoC) has taken 832 lives lives while 3,000 have been injured and 3,300 houses been damaged, the director general (DG) of the Disaster Management Authority (DMA) informed the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs Monday.

Presided over by PML-N MNA Khalil George, the standing committee had discussed Indian ceasefire violations on the LoC.

DMA DG Zaheeruddin Qureshi informed the committee that about 425,000 civilians residing in areas around the LoC were under threat because of Indian firing.

Incidences of firing have so far caused 832 deaths while 3,000 people have been injured. 3,300 houses have also been damaged as a result, Qureshi said.
One can imagine the mayhem and TSPA KIA in this past year if TSP is admitting to all this( though there is no timeline given, i suspect it is of only recent 1-2 years max)
