US tough talk could push Pakistan closer to Russia, China
ISLAMABAD: As the US President Donald Trump’s administration finalised its long-awaited strategy for Afghanistan, Pakistan is bracing itself for ‘tough time.’
Ahead of the announcement of the much-talked about strategy that will not only cover Afghanistan but the wider South Asian region as well, authorities in Pakistan are not hopeful of any positives and are instead preparing contingency plans.
Two senior officials familiar with the plan have told The Express Tribune that Pakistan is contemplating various options to offset any fallout from the new US strategy for Afghanistan. Now the fun and games are about to start

Taliban ( Imran) Khan And Other Pakis React To Trump Speech

Imran Khan reacts to Trump’s warning to Pakistan

US President Donald Trump’s revised policy towards Afghan war and allegations that Pakistan was providing “safe haven” to terrorists in the region prompted strong reactions from Pakistani politicians.

Imran Khan:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, in a series of tweets on Tuesday, criticised the US for blaming Pakistan for its own “deeply flawed and failed” policy towards Afghanistan.“Just as India blames Pak for the indigenous Kashmiri uprisings when these are a result of its own failed policy of mly repression in IOK .. So the US again blames Pak for its deeply flawed & failed Afghan policy stretching over a decade,” he tweeted. He is expected to "parrot" Deep State views !
“We fought 2 wars in Afghanistan at the US behest paying heavy human and economic costs both times. We sacrificed 70000 Pak lives in US WOT,” Khan stated. But you were "generously" paid, in keeping with your status as a "rentier state"

Senator Mushahid Hussain
Senator Mushahid Hussain said Trump’s newest Afghan policy is simply “a repetition of its old mistakes” and would not render any fruitful results for the US.He further expressed concern that the US statement on greater Indian involvement in Afghanistan could lead to a “proxy war between Pakistan and India” on Afghan soil. This Pakjabi politico has ingratiated himself to all Paki Establishments, Mush, Nawaz, Zia etc etc

Senator Sherry Rehman

Pakistan Peoples Party leader and former ambassador to the US, Senator Sherry Rehman criticised Trump’s announcement, saying the US policy towards the Afghan war has suffered from frequent U-turns.“The [US] has given no timeline, no numbers. Yet, their statement is getting more and more [hostile] towards the region,” she said.Senator Rehman emphasised that Pakistan has always preferred to resolve all issues peacefully. Cannot be expected to "not defend" Pakistan !!!

Adil Najam
Ex-pat Paki of Pakjabi Origin, expected to bat for his "homeland" from the Ivory Towers Of Boston

Discussing the changing situation in the international political arena, the Washington Boston !-based expert  on Pak-US relations, Adil Najam, said: "It is a matter of few days that Pakistan's aid may be stopped, decreased or conditions can be revised." Najam added that India may increase diplomatic pressure on Pakistan as a result of the new policy.

Imran Khan to US: Never again will we fight your wars for you

NEW DELHI: Imran Khan, who's in the running to be Pakistan's next Prime Minister, made it abundantly clear on Tuesday what his policy vis-a-vis the US will likely be, with this message: Never again will we fight your wars for you.

Khan also slammed the US for its "flawed and failed Afghan policy" and said that Pakistan "must reject being made (a) scapegoat" for US failures.

The Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician was reacting to what is possibly US President Donald Trump's harshest verbal attack on Pakistan to date.

While announcing the US's Afghanistan policy review earlier in the day, Trump pretty much appeared to blame Pakistan for the entire mess in Afghanistan. He said Pakistan is giving "safe havens to agents of chaos, violence and terror"
.
"That will have to change and that will change immediately... it is time for Pakistan to dedicate to civilization and order and peace," Trump said.

Khan was having none of it. He indicated the US was ungrateful, considering "we sacrificed 70000 Pak lives in US WOT (war on terror)".

"We fought 2 wars in Afghanistan at the US behest paying heavy human and economic costs both times...This shd (should) teach Pak once and for all a valuable lesson: never to fight others wars for the lure of dollars.

Khan said Pakistan has suffered "over $100 billion in losses" by helping the US in its 'war on terror'.

Our economy suffered over $100 billion in losses. In addition, there were intangible costs on our society. Time for Pak to say: Never again

Earlier, Trump too referred to the "billions and billions of dollars" in aid Pakistan gets from the US.

"We have been paying Pakistan billions and billions of dollars+ at the same time they are housing the very terrorists that we are fighting," said Trump, suggesting that military and other aid to Washington's nuclear-armed ally is at stake if it does not clamp down on extremism.

Khan meanwhile said such statements should be "a lesson for Pakistan".

Khan's dislike for the US is well known. In January, when Trump announced a US travel ban on Syrian refugees and people from seven other Muslim countries, Khan said he hoped Pakistanis were banned as well. (They weren't.)

Earlier this month, in an interview with British newspaper The Guardian, Khan said Pakistan must detach itself from American influence and pull out of the "war on terror" to create prosperity and achieve regional peace.

"Aid cripples the country...It enslaves the country. You are dictated decisions from abroad. I'm completely against this," Khan said to the British paper.

He also blamed Pakistan's elite.

"Sadly, our ruling elite took dollars from the Americans and went into this war," Khan said.

Comments : I don't think the USA is eve going to have faith in Clapistan. Maybe the will use the Drones to kill Clapistani Terrorist and I suppose that is what the USA will the Clapistanis i.e. to "DFrone" the Clapistani Terrorists.

Stupid as Musharraf was, he still was able to realize that if they didn't fight 'wars for America' they would be fighting a war against America. Not sure if these guys are full of idle bravado, or smoking something really potent.

Paki Ayesha Denies Imran Is Harassing Her

Momina Basit denies resigning from PTI, accusing Imran of harassment  ( headline is misleading !)

PESHAWAR – The divisional president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Women Wing, Momina Basit has clarified that she has neither resigned from the party nor has she levelled any harassment allegations against Imran Khan.
Describing such reports as propaganda, Basit blamed the rival party PML-N for spreading baseless rumours on social media. The source of the rumours was a now deleted tweet of journalist Zulfiqar Rahat which claimed that the party leader was leaving PTI after receiving indecent text messages from Imran Khan.

Latest in Imran's stable of young "Paki Ayeshas". Seems that he is still banking on his "romeo image" in the winter of his life. The prospective and "lucky one " (Gulalai, Pakpattani pir, Momina ) will however have to under go a "rigorous interview" by Immy's sister to meet his "high standards"

"Misrepresentation" Of D'Jinnah Cited As Reason For Banning Bollywood Film "Partition 1947"

Partition: 1947 banned in Pakistan over ‘misrepresentation’ of Md Ali Jinnah

Filmmaker Gurinder Chadha’s Partition: 1947 -- the Hindi version of period drama Viceroy’s House -- has been banned from releasing in Pakistan, reportedly over “misrepresentation” of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The director has said it is unfortunate.“It is unfortunate my film has been banned in Pakistan. It will always be the land of my ancestors. ‘Partition: 1947’,” Chadha posted on Twitter on August 20.
Partition: 1947 was released internationally as Viceroy’s House. For the film, the British film director of Sikh origin, whose mother grew up in Rawalpindi, went back to trace her roots and document events that led to India’s Partition. The film narrates the story of the trauma that people went through due to the division, and how it changed their lives. Featuring Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Huma Qureshi and Manish Dayal, the movie released in India on August 18.
According to The Express Tribune, the Sindh Film Censor Board deemed it unsuitable, stating that “the political narrative contradicts the national interest of Pakistan”. Banning of the film will create more demand for the film
The Board’s secretary Abdul Razzaq Khuhawar said: “It’s a historical film and nothing negative is shown against Pakistan. The main reason for banning it was the misrepresentation of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.“We felt his character was not portrayed correctly and it felt strange. Although the character only appears in a few scenes as the film mostly revolves around Lord Mountbatten, the actor didn’t look like Jinnah at all. If you had seen it, you couldn’t tell it was Jinnah. Otherwise, there were no issues with the film.”

Bakistan's Official Response to Trump's ActionPlan. Let's review point by point.

FO rejects Trump's allegations of terrorist 'safe havens' in Pakistan

1. "As a matter of policy, Pakistan does not allow use of its territory against any country. Instead of relying on the false narrative of safe havens, the US needs to work with Pakistan to eradicate terrorism."
2. "it is disappointing that the US policy statement ignores the enormous sacrifices rendered by the Pakistani nation" in the fight against terrorism".
3. "No country in the world has done more than Pakistan to counter the menace of terrorism. No country in the world has suffered more than Pakistan from the scourge of terrorism, often perpetrated from outside our borders," the FO asserted.
4. The FO reiterated Pakistan's view that there is "no exclusive military solution to the crisis in Afghanistan".
5. "The military action during the last 17 years has not brought peace to Afghanistan, and it is not likely to do so in the future. Only an Afghan-led, Afghan-owned, politically-negotiated solution can lead to sustainable peace in Afghanistan"
6. The FO observed that the "threat to peace and security cannot be isolated from the complex interplay of geopolitics, [the] continued existence of festering disputes and pursuit of hegemonic policies. Non-resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains the primary obstacle to peace and stability in the region."
7. Pakistan's commitment to "working with the international community towards the common objective of defeating the forces of terrorism and to promote peace and stability in the South Asian region."
8. Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan has fought the war against terrorism on its own accord and would continue to do so as it is not reliant of anyone's money to fight its war.
9. He also offered to send the Afghan Taliban back to Afghanistan "if there are still any sanctuaries in Pakistan", saying that Pakistan was ready to send all refugees back to Afghanistan in order to avoid any such allegations.

First of all, the canned response is/was expected. In "diplomatese", the pakis are telling the Americans to go jump in a lake. "We are not going to change. You need to change to suit our needs. Besides all the trouble in this region is because of J&K". Blame India for global terrorism.

'Business as usual with Pakistan now over,' warns US National Security Council spokesman

National Security Council (NSC) Spokesperson Michael Anton warned Pakistan that it is "on notice from this president, from this administration"
"business as usual [with Pakistan] as it has been up to now is over"
the US could impose sanctions on terrorist groups, including the Haqqani network, and any Pakistani officials "who are tied to these kinds of groups, you know, in ways that they shouldn't be".
they’re on notice from this president, from this administration
"The United States has been really patient with Pakistan for a really long time. We haven’t been getting a good deal from them," he claimed.
America receives in return, at best, "indifference to border crossing and terrorist safe havens and sanctuaries" in the tribal regions along the Pak-Afghan border
"In the worst case," he alleged, Pakistan is guilty of "active direct support" for terrorist groups.
Anton dismissed Islamabad's concerns over growing India-Afghanistan ties, terming them an "excuse"
"What India is doing in Afghanistan is not a threat to Pakistan,"
"They’re not building military bases. They’re not deploying troops. They’re not doing the things that would constitute encirclement, for lack of a better term, which is one of the things that the Pakistanis complain about,"
"How do we get the Pakistan to behave better? The answer is we have leverage points over Pakistan that the strategy contemplates we will use. Ultimately whether they behave better or not is completely up to them,"
They may calculate that it’s more important to, you know, remain allied with terrorists, it’s more important to give terrorists safe haven, it’s more important to do all the nasty things that they’ve been doing that we don’t like than it is to have a good relationship with the United States

Calls For Blocking US Supplies To Afghanistan Using Paki Roads !

It’s about time Pakistan blocked roads for US supplies to Afghanistan

US President Donald Trump’s crude speech in which he committed the United States into an open war with insurgents in Afghanistan and lambasted Pakistan for ‘harbouring militant safe heavens’ has emerged as the first diplomatic challenge for the nascent government of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.Trump, in his hard-hitting speech at a military base in Washington, called on Pakistan’s arch-rival India to aid the US in its longest war in Afghanistan, and said his administration would assist New Delhi in building infrastructure of the war-torn country.
Analysts say Trump’s open invitation to the Modi regime is aimed at tackling China’s growing influence in Afghanistan. But a Washington-New Delhi cooperation, which is no longer behind closed doors, means Islamabad has to act cautiously. Sticking to the rhetoric that Pakistan has lost so much in the so-called war on terror won’t convince Trump to scrap his Afghan policy.
Pakistan need not to remind the international community what its contributions are to global peace and security. Thousands of its troops are deployed as part of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in various parts of the world. Pakis need the money plain and simple ! The Trump administration may have pioneered an aggressive policy that is aimed at beating the insurgents to the table but it was Islamabad that helped install the Afghan National Government and brokered the peace talks between the Taliban and Kabul. And all the time , keeping the fiction about Mullah Omar
It’s about time the United States realised that long wars always result in endless bloodshed. Adding more troops to the already deployed 8,400 in Afghanistan, a country bathed in blood of both foreigners and locals, only adds fuel to the fire. Trump has vowed “victory in Afghanistan”. His version of victory, however, is a fight to the death. Homecoming seems a long lost dream for the US troops fighting against the Taliban and other insurgents, who vowed they would “continue our jihad”.
Pakistan should cash in on its ‘diplomatic aggression’ card; by blocking its roads to US for supplies to NATO troops in the landlocked Afghanistan, giving Washington a taste of its own medicine. Pakistan is no foe of the United States but by constantly blaming the former for its own failures in Afghanistan, Washington is slowly severing its ties with Islamabad; a mistake which would lead to disastrous consequences.IMO, Pakistan may well do that - at least on a temporary basis !

This is one reason many desis were persuaded in borderline states to support Trump.

This mad hatter behavior of Pakis is worth all the post election vituperation we had.

BTW, BBC had a Pakistani lady talking at hyper speed about how bad the US position was and not understanding of Pakistan compulsions.

Their thinking is that if this was the last installment in this never-ending cycle of marriage-and-divorce between the US & Pakistan (the fourth according to my reckoning and sixth according to some others). they had better ask for a substantial amount. Alimony demands from a poorer spouse to a richer one are usually heavy. Now, a 100B is a well-rounded, nice figure, isn't it? Can you blame them for it?

They can sustain themselves for some time with this amount before they engineer another catastrophe or the situation so develops that the US needs Pakistan all over again.

That’s why Pakistan should be broken up so that such situations don’t develop in the future as they used to do with an annoying monotony in the past. The best window is coming up right now.

Pakistan using India as 'excuse' to support terrorist groups: US

WASHINGTON: Pakistan is using a perceived threat of encirclement by India as an "excuse" to continue its support to terrorists, a Trump administration official has said, dismissing concerns over Indian development activities in the war-torn country.

"What India is doing in Afghanistan is not a threat to Pakistan. They're not building military bases. They're not deploying troops," National Security Council (NSC) spokesman Michael Anton said on Tuesday.

This is an "excuse" on the part of Pakistan, Politico quoted Anton as saying.

"In the worst case," the Trump administration official said, the Pakistani government has been guilty of "active direct support" for terrorist groups.

"(Indians) are not doing the things that would constitute encirclement, for lack of a better term, which is one of the things that the Pakistani's complain about," he said.

His comments came after US President Donald Trump laid out his policy for Afghanistan and the larger South Asian region. Trump sought a greater involvement from India while criticising Pakistan for tolerating terrorist safe havens and for its support to terrorists.

The US president has preferred a regional approach for peace in Afghanistan and said the US "can no longer be silent about Pakistan's safe havens for terrorist organisations, the Taliban, and other groups that pose a threat to the region and beyond."

Pakistan's foreign office reacted to Trump's announcement of the new strategy, saying the threat to peace and security "cannot be isolated from the complex interplay of geopolitics, continued existence of festering disputes and pursuit of hegemonic policies."

"Non-resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains the primary obstacle to peace and stability in the region."

The foreign office asked the US to work with Pakistan to eradicate terrorism, instead of relying on the "false narrative of safe havens."

Massa Ratchets Up Pressure On Pakis". Tillerson Hurls Vieled Threats.

Pakistan could lose status as privileged ally over Afghan militant support, warns US

The United States warned an angry Pakistan on Tuesday that it could lose its status as a privileged military ally if it continues giving safe haven to Afghan militant groups. One day after President Donald Trump unveiled a new strategy to force the Taliban to negotiate a political settlement with the Kabul government, his top diplomat upped the heat on Islamabad.
Trump had warned that Pakistan's alleged support for the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani extremist network would have consequences, and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has now spelled these out. “We have some leverage,” Tillerson told reporters, as he fleshed out Trump's speech, “in terms of aid, their status as a non-Nato alliance partner — all of that can be put on the table”. There is no doubt that the US holds the economic leverage ( aid spigot, military grants, sales etc ) over the Pakis. But to be fair to the Pakis, they hold the "gateway to Afghanistan" for the Amreekis . So something has to give . IMO, with the Pakis, it again boils down to the question of the Echendee. But they will "never sacrifice" their "strategic assets" ( Taliban, the Haqqanis etc etc )
As one of 16 “Non-Nato Major Allies”, Pakistan benefits from billions of dollars in aid and has access to some advanced US military technology banned from other countries.
This year, the US has already withheld $350 million in military funding over concerns Pakistan is not doing enough to fight terror, but the alliance itself was not in question. Now that designation is also on the table . All this will be decided when the rookie FO ( Asif ) is off to DC to talk with Tillerson !
Tillerson said Washington wants to work with Pakistan as it expands its own support for Kabul in the battle against the Taliban, but warned it to close alleged militant safe havens. Some of Pakistan's critics in Washington have urged Trump to go further, by authorising US strikes against militants inside Pakistan or declaring Pakistan a “state sponsor of terror”. Officials have not yet brandished the designation threat, which could lead to severe sanctions and legal threats to Pakistani officials, but Tillerson did not rule out strikes.
The US has hit targets within Pakistan before, most famously when Trump's predecessor Barack Obama ordered US special forces to kill Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. “The president has been clear that we are going to attack terrorists wherever they live,” Tillerson said.“We have put people on notice that if you're providing safe haven to terrorists, be warned — we are going to engage those providing safe haven and ask them to change what they are doing.”And Tillerson added that, aside from the Afghans, Pakistan has more to gain “than any other nation” from an end to the fighting. Tillerson is dangling the "goodies" in front of the Pakis ( playing good cop !) while his uncouth boss ( POTUS Trump ) is playing the role of the Bad Cop with his undiplomatic language
Both Tillerson and Trump also called on Pakistan's long-standing rival and fellow nuclear power India to become more involved in Afghanistan, an idea that is anathema to Islamabad. ( Many Americans do not know that India is already involved in a big way in Afghanistan !).Beyond the stand-off with Pakistan, Trump's new strategy also authorises US generals to deploy more American troops to support Afghan government forces in what is now a 16-year-old conflict.
The Foreign Office (FO) on Tuesday had rejected Trump's allegations that Pakistan offers safe haven to "agents of chaos". "As a matter of policy, Pakistan does not allow use of its territory against any country. Instead of relying on the false narrative of safe havens, the US needs to work with Pakistan to eradicate terrorism," it said in a statement. Pakistan is in denial !!!

US Educated Dr. E l Jalebi Weighs In. Talks Of "Red Lines" !

Pakistan military should dictate red lines to US: Shireen Mazari

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shireen Mazari has lambasted Trump’s remarks about Pakistan in his policy speech as being a direct threat to the integrity of Pakistan. She urged the army of Pakistan to be geared up to defend the country if the United States decides to change its status from ally [color=#0000FF]( this word is a misnomer being used to "milk Massa" !)[/color] and enter the territory.
Mazari further urged the Pakistan military to dictate the red lines to the US. She emphasized on the importance of setting our foot down instead of whimpering in fear as was done against the drone attacks. She is most likely the FO, if Immy becomes PM
US president Donald Trump on Monday revealed the broad strokes of the new US foreign policy regarding Afghanistan. While asking Afghanistan, India and others to step up their game in the war on terror, President Trump saved harsh words for Pakistan. In his speech, he censured Pakistan for providing safe havens to “agents of chaos, violence and terror”. Neglecting the sacrifices Pakistan has made in the war on terror while being plagued with the scourge of terrorism itself, the US President asked Pakistan to pull its weight and show its commitment to civilization, order and to peace.
Reacting to US President Donald Trump’s criticism of Pakistan during his speech on Tuesday, Pakistan ambassador to the United States Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry stressed that there were no safe havens for terrorists in Pakistan. Mullah Omar, OBL, Hafez Suar, Azhar are/were "honored guests "

US Prepares "Detailed Plans" To Tame Pakistan .

U.S. may sanction Pakistani officials with ties to terrorists, Trump official says
By LOUIS NELSON

President Donald Trump’s new, get-tough approach with Pakistan’s government could potentially include sanctioning Pakistani government officials with ties to terrorist organizations, a senior administration official said Tuesday morning, part of an overall regional strategy that he said has put Pakistan “on notice” that “business as usual as it has been up to now is over.” Time will tell whether it is going to make a difference this time !
Trump, in nationally televised address Monday night, announced that he would deploy a yet-unspecified number of additional troops to Afghanistan,....
“I think the important takeaway for the Pakistani government last night is that, you know, they should understand that they’re on notice from this president, from this administration,” the official said. “The United States has been really patient with Pakistan for a really long time. We haven’t been getting a good deal from them.” The call was held for administration allies and surrogates, not the media, but some news organizations who learned of the call dialed in, including POLITICO.
As part of the new strategy, the official said the U.S. could conceivably impose sanctions on terrorist groups including the Haqqani network, which has links to elements in the Pakistani government, as well as on any Pakistani officials “who are tied to these kinds of groups, you know, in ways that they shouldn’t be.”
Of particular worry to Pakistan has been the involvement of India, a fierce regional rival, in Afghanistan, a concern that the official characterized as an “excuse” on the part of the Pakistanis.“What India is doing in Afghanistan is not a threat to Pakistan. They’re not building military bases. They’re not deploying troops,” the official said. “They’re not doing the things that would constitute encirclement, for lack of a better term, which is one of the things that the Pakistanis complain about.” Pakistan is "alarmed" at the "friendly reception" that India is receiving in Afghanistan. They do not want an India -friendly regime there !
The official said the president had benefited from an outsider’s perspective on the U.S.-Pakistan relationship, eschewing the conventional wisdom that “however much the Pakistanis double-deal you and lie to you and don’t cooperate, you have no choice but to just keep the status quo.” The Trump official put the onus on the Pakistani government to repair its relationship with the U.S.“How do we get the Pakistan to behave better? The answer is we have leverage points over Pakistan that the strategy contemplates we will use. Ultimately whether they behave better or not is completely up to them,” the official said. The US may have to "depend" on Pakistan to get physical access to Afghanistan, and that is what the Pakis are banking upon !

Difference Of Religious Opinions Between "Two Greens" Results In Preacher's Death

Preacher killed, another injured

CHINIOT: A Tableeghi Jamaat member was killed and another injured by a villager as a result of difference of opinion.
A Tableeghi Jamaat team was residing in a mosque at Asian Village, some 22km from here on Chiniot-Pindi Bhattian Road, to preach the religion for a week. The team was preaching the villagers in a door-to-door campaign while one Ikram Khan of the same village exchanged harsh words over difference of opinion about religious beliefs
In the Monday night, Ikram attacked the team asleep in the mosque with a sharp-edge agricultural tool.As a result, one member of Tableeghi Jamaat identified as Wali Rehman of Karachi was killed and another member Abdullah sustained serious injuries. The injured was shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in critical condition. Saddar police have registered a case and arrested the acused along with the instrument of murder. Many people do not know but The Tableeg is a "favourite resting place" for senior retired Fauji Afsars like Musharraf crony and ex ISI Chief Lt-Gen Mahmud Ahmed

US should not spend money on identifying the terrorists and their sympathizers. It can take India's assistance. That will be part of India's contribution in stabilizing the region.

FULLY POSTED ON THE PESW THREAD

Pakistan on the verge of seeking IMF bailout, experts claim
KARACHI: Pakistan’s economy is once again fading due to endemic issues on the external front including a high current account deficit (CAD) that has ballooned three times to $2.05 billion in the single month of July 2017 year-on-year.
The widening deficit is fast eating up foreign exchange reserves and the time may not be far when economic managers of the country shall be negotiating a new bailout package with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) if the situation persists.
Many seasoned economists and analysts strongly believe devaluation of the overvalued rupee against the dollar and other major world currencies is one workable solution to containing the deficit.
On different occasions during 2016, the IMF said Pakistan’s currency is overvalued by as much as 20%.

A nice article via NYT from Zalmay Khalilzad, praising Trump's Afghanistan policy. Note the amount of verbiage and detail dedicated to what to do with Pakistan if they don't fall in line. Combining this sort of commentary with statements from Tillerson, NSC spokesperson etc, the signs are encouraging that the US may actually follow through on its threats, unless it's all psyops. Pakis are making all sorts of defiant and recycled statements - I don't think they believe that the game is about to change for them.

The key thing in this policy statement that Trump made, which gives me encouragement, is specifically calling upon India to help more, Paki objections be damned, and the calling out of Paki duplicity.

We shall see, I suppose....

Another "Good Example" Of "You Can Take A Paki Out Of Pakistan" But It Is Virtually Impossible To Take Out The "Pakistaniyat" Out Of A Paki

Humble Request: Zaid Ali Tahir, please show us your Mrs.

We have all heard Zaid Ali T go on and on about this ‘sudden marriage plan’ of his on his Facebook and other social mediums, but now we are honestly getting tired of the suspense.
Zaid Ali, please finally show us your Mrs., so we can relax and let it be.Keeping the suspense up, Zaid put up pictures from his Nikah ceremony, and just one picture of his spouse: showing her loose hair from the back and her dress from behind.
Right, like that’s enough for fans! Zaid, we are waiting.

"Paki Celebratory" still practicing "Pakistaniyat" in his "adopted home" of Waterloo, Canada ! Practicing "ancient Malsi" and keeping his to-be spouse in wraps.!!!

Pakis are shell shocked by the Pres Trumps statement !
But now every gasbag in Pakistan is coming on Paki TV channels and putting forward a brave face full of bluster. If you listen to the begger, you'll think they belong to a superdeveloped country, instead of the terrorist sponsoring, islamized, failed state they are.

Bechare Paki TV anchors and Guests had just taken CIA off their conspiracy theories, and were blaming RAA, NDS and Iranian Intelligence for all ills.
Looks like hence forth every ill will be bamed on RAA, CIA, NDS and Iranian Intelligence

Oh! I forgot to include Mossad! Narendra Modi visited Israel and Mossad was already back on their talking points.

So the final tally for all things bad happening in Pakistan is - <drumroll>
CIA, RAA, Mossad, NDS, Iranian Intelligence.

That is until Modi decides to visit fiji - then Fijian intelligence will also be involved in Pakistan.

After Begging Kashmir from India, also Dialogue, also Cricket, Hockey, Kabbadi, Ityaadi, Ityaadi & More Ityaadi the Always available for Hire Brass Flute is now Demanding Respect!

Treat us with respect, Pakistan Army chief tells US envoy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is not seeking material or financial help from the US, but Washington must trust and treat it with respect, army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa told the US envoy here on Wednesday, a day after President Trump asked Islamabad to stop providing safe havens to terrorists.

While announcing America's new Afghanistan and South Asia policy - which calls for greater US troop deployment and Indian involvement in Afghanistan - Trump had hit out at Pakistan for offering sanctuaries to "agents of chaos."

The US Ambassador David Hale met Gen. Bajwa at the army's headquarters in Rawalpindi, where the latter was briefed on the US's new South Asia policy announced by President Trump, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations - the Pakistani military's media wing.

"We can no longer be silent about Pakistan's safe havens for terrorist organisations," the US president had said.

Responding to the invective, i.e. Gaali A La Lahore Gen. Bajwa said: "We are not looking for any material or financial assistance from the US, but trust, understanding and [an] acknowledgment of our contributions."

According to the ISPR statement, the Pakistan Army chief highlighted the importance of peace in Afghanistan for Pakistan and highlighted the efforts made by the country.

He added that such efforts were "not [meant] to appease anyone but [were taken] in line with [Pakistan's] national interest and policy," the ISPR statement said.

Gen. Bajwa further said that collaboration between all stakeholders in the key to bringing the war in Afghanistan to its logical conclusion, the statement said.

Hale said that the US values Pakistan's role in the "War against Terror" and seeks the country's cooperation in resolving the Afghan issue, the statement added.

The US ambassador had similarly briefed Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif yesterday on Washington's new policy and statements made by Trump regarding Pakistan.

During the meeting, Asif had told the envoy that Pakistan would continue to work with the international community to eliminate the menace of terrorism.

This Trump speech has rattled Pakistan more than the Obama Abbottabad raid to kill OBL.

The difference is that Pak Military was on board with the OBL raid.

They are all given their talking points by ISPR hence they all say the same thing. It fools nobody other than their own inbred population.

It is funny to see the paki analyst brigade full of bluster. They are saying pakistan chota mulkh nahi hai, hum ek atomi quwwat hai.
They are behaving as if China (and even Russia) are at their beck and call to defend them against the US. They claim that Pakistan, China, Turkey , Iran and Russia are all one front/block (hum yakjah hai) against US and India :rotfl: :rotfl:
