Declassified documents from US National Archives on Pakistan:

Admission of state sponsored terrorism by Pakistani authorities

see this Der Spigel Interview where Musharraf admits to that.

On 7th Nov in TimesNow Channel, Tasneem Noorani, a former Secretary of the Pakistani Interior Ministry, openly said that.

Kiyani called the Haqqanis as strategic assets.

In Dec. 2008, President Zardari himself admitted to ISI helping LeT. He said,"The links between the Inter-Services Intelligence Agency and the LeT were developed in the old days when dictators used to run the country. After the 9/11 terror attacks in the US, things have changed to a great extent"

In an address to bureaucrats in July 2009, President Zardari said: "Militants and extremists were deliberately created and nurtured as a policy to achieve some short-term tactical objectives. Let us be truthful to ourselves and make a candid admission of the realities. The terrorists of today were the heroes of yesteryears until 9/11 occurred and they began to haunt us as well"

In Nov. 2009, Prime Minister Gilani admitted to the support for terrorism by Musharraf as "running with the hares and hunting with the hounds".

When Bush warned the Pakistanis in August 2008 of their support to Al Qaeda, Afrasiab Khattak, President of Awami National Party (ANP) said this: "The question is why it has taken the Americans so long to see what the ISI is doing. We’ve been telling them for years but they wouldn’t buy it.". See here.

In an interview to the BBC as far back as on Feb. 13, 1994, Benazir Bhutto admitted how she handed over to Rajiv Gandhi the complete list of Sikh activists colluding with the ISI in terrorism in the Punjab. Later, Nawaz Sharif described this interview as a faux pas.

Apart from these, of course, numerous Pakistani commentators, analysts, and editors have openly admitted to terror as a state policy.

Why Did Pakistan's Spy Chief Make a Secret Trip to China?

Pasha's China trip has been interpreted by some as a tacit act of defiance—a reminder to his American counterparts that the Pakistanis can always look east to their “all-weather” friend across the Himalayas rather than bend the knee to the will of the U.S.

But it also may be a sign of China's growing disquiet with Pakistan. Another top-ranking Pakistani military officer, Lt. Gen Wahid Arshad, had already conducted a considerable tour of China just weeks ago in a bid to improve ties. A few analysts have suggested that Pasha's trip — couched in vague terms about building a “broad-based strategic dialogue” — may have been less a visit and more of a summons.

Chinese officials claimed the attacks in Kashgar were authored by the shadowy East Turkestan Islamic Movement, a jihadist organization of mostly ethnic Uighurs, a Turkic Muslim minority that comprises the majority in the far-western Chinese region of Xinjiang. China routinely invokes the specter of the terrorist threat when cracking down on dissent in the restive region. Yet disturbances there tend to be triggered more often by social discontent — many Uighurs chafe at state policies they deem discriminatory and marginalizing — than militant connivance. Pasha's presence in Beijing may mark Beijing's continued efforts to root out Uighur dissidents and sympathizers beyond China's borders, as it has already done in Kazakhstan.

Ganja Seeks Support Of Dus Percenti Via So- Called Business Tycoon Riaz Malik, Who Is A Close Friend Of Zardari :D

Ousted PM meets property tycoon to seek Zardari’s support

LAHORE: Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday held a meeting with controversial real estate tycoon Malik Riaz to seek through him the support of Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to overcome the crisis his family is facing. Sharif family is facing two crises - one is a family health crisis, which any person should empathize . The other is an "artificial crisis" of his own making, for which he is now being taken to task. What can Zardari do for him that he cannot !
Mr Sharif’s meeting with Mr Riaz at the former’s Jati Umra residence — also attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif — lasted for about two hours. The meeting generated a debate in media circles whether some backchannel efforts are under way to secure some ‘relief’ for the Sharif family, but a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz insider did not confirm this. He told Dawn that Mr Sharif wanted the PPP to cooperate with the PML-N in and outside parliament. Zardari is hard to get these days :D
Malik Riaz was also contacted, but he refused to speak on the matter. Malik Riaz is close to the fauj as well !
Mr Riaz is considered very close to Mr Zardari, whom the former is said to have gifted the Bilawal House in his Lahore’s Bahria Town. During the period of the Sharifs’ exile, Mr Riaz came close to them by extending financial assistance to Hamza, son of Shahbaz Sharif, who was here to look after the family businesses. However, since the Sharifs returned to the country in 2007, Mr Riaz could not enjoy cordial relations with them.
Mr Riaz’s close circle is of the view that in the past he tried to broker a deal between the establishment and Mr Sharif. However, it said that he was no more so close to the establishment as to be able to get the role of a ‘errand boy’ for it [military establishment].

Paki Embassy In DC Disowns "Good Haqqani" :D

Husain Haqqani’s portrait removed from Pak embassy in Washington

WASHINGTON: The portrait of former ambassador Husain Haqqani has been removed from Pakistan Embassy in Washington. Portraits of all the envoys who have served in Washington are on display in the Embassy but the picture of Haqqani was removed recently.
Haqqani served as Pak Ambassador for over three years during Pakistan Peoples’ Party rule from May 27, 2008 to November 22, 2011. He was later removed from the office amid Memogate crisis that shaken the PPP government.IMO, he should not be "dismayed". He is in good company . Pakistan also disowned the first Muslim Nobel Prize winner Abdus Salaam for the wrong reasons

Looneystan adds another feather in the cap for blasphemy...
HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has stayed an FIR registered against two women and as many men under blasphemy law. The Hyderabad circuit bench also put Hyderabad DIG, SSP and assistant sub inspector Bashir Ahmed Janwari, who became complainant in the case, on notice on Friday.
The Khanote police station lodged the case on September 27 under Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which pertains to outraging the religious sentiments of any class of Pakistani citizens :rotfl: . The offense is punishable with up to 10 years imprisonment after conviction, as well as a fine.

Sarkash has been accused of solemnising a marriage between Sindhia and Nazeer in Zaimi village, near the Manzoorabad area of Khanote, in a way which ridiculed and profaned the Islamic marriage process. “Nayab Sarkash read the nikkah according to Shariat-e-Latifi [Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s canonical law],” the FIR reads.

X Posted on the Neutering & Defanging Chinese Threat Thread

SSridhar Ji : I just did a Double Take - nearly fell out of my chair! What do you make of this? One plus one eleven? Is this a manifestation of Modi Ji's and of course Mother India's STRENGTH? I see it as the Chinese Leadership "Accommodating" India in General and Modi Ji in Particular. What Gives? Do also consider the reference especially to Buddhism!

India, China should start a new chapter: Chinese envoy

NEW DELHI: Chinese envoy to India Luo Zhaohui has said it was time for India and China to turn the old page and start a new chapter, stressing that the countries have made a lot of progress at bilateral level.

He said on Friday that Chinese President Xi Jinping met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BRICS Summit in Xiamen earlier this month, and the two leaders sent a clear message of "reconciliation" and "cooperation".

"We should turn the old page and start a new chapter with the same pace and direction. We should dance together. We should make one plus one eleven. China is the largest trading partner of India. We have made a lot of progress at the bilateral level, as well as in international and regional affairs," Luo said.

The Chinese envoy was speaking on the 68th anniversary of founding of the People's Republic of China.

His comments come in the backdrop of the disengagement of Chinese and Indian troops in Dokalam, where the army of the two nations were locked in a stand-off for over two months.

India and China, who went to war in 1962, share an uneasy relationship and territorial dispute is a major bone of contention between the two countries.

The Chinese diplomat also recalled one of his teachers, Prof Xu Fancheng, who lived in Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry from 1945 to 1978. Xu is known for his work of translating Upanishad, Bhagawad Gita and Shakuntala from Sanskrit to Chinese.

"In our bilateral engagement, there have been thousands of prominent persons like Prof Xu Fancheng, (Buddhist monk) Bodhidharma, Faxian (a Chinese Buddhist monk who travelled to India in the 3rd century) and Rabindranath Tagore.

"We should never forget their contribution and legacies. The history could do a lot of things. Standing on their shoulders, we should do more today," Luo said.

The Chinese envoy added that the speed of Chinese high-speed trains from Beijing to Shanghai was increased from 300 kmph to 350 kmph two weeks ago.

"We have started the feasibility study of hyperloop trains at the speed of 1,000 to 4,000kmph," he said.
He added that the high-speed trains were one of the four latest inventions of China.

Looks like 1 innocent paki army man was killed & 3 other innocent paki army men were injured by cruel Indian army.

At least three persons, including a soldier, have been killed and four others injured in alleged firing by Indian troops across the Line of Control, the Pakistan Army said on Saturday

a potential jihadi & jihadi making machine(paki woman) were killed too. 8)

The Army said that Indian troops resorted to “unprovoked firing” on Friday, targeting the civilian population in Rakhchikri area of Rawalakot. As a result of the shelling, two civilians, including a woman, were killed while one person sustained injuries.

An army patrol assisting rescue operations in the area also came under fire, resulting in the killing of Naib Subedar Nadeem. Three soldiers were also injured, it said. The Army claimed that Pakistani “troops gave a befitting response to the cross-border firing”.

Fake! Why does this look staged? Judge for your self.

Army says 27 (usual) suspects arrested in raids

27 suspects have been arrested and cache of illegal weapons recovered from their custody in intelligence based operations jointly carried out by paramilitary troops and other law enforcement agencies
"Extensive Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) are being carried out in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, DG Khan, Lahore, Sialkot, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan," said he.
The authorities have suspended mobile phone services in major cities of the country.

EW YORK: Pakistan Foreign Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif has admitted that Lakshar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its leader Hafiz Saeed are liabilities to Islamabad and that it needs time to get rid of them.

Even Girls In "Small Town" Pakiland Are Being Infested By Western Influenced Video Games

Two Jhelum girls found playing 'Blue Whale challenge', have cut marks on their arms

The Express Tribune

The notorious self-harm and suicide game, the “Blue Whale challenge”, has made its way in Punjab, as two female college students in Jhelum reportedly inflicted injuries on themselves after they started playing it. The two students of Government Girls Degree College Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum had injuries on their arms that looked that they had been made with a sharp-edged tool, Express News reported. The victims of the so-called challenge have been identified as Warda, a second-year student and Manahil, a first-year student. The "flip side" of Jihad gone global
One of them had reached to the 18th level of the game, while the other was on the 22nd. This is what happens when "normal interaction" between boys and girls is "suppressed" !
The girls were also expelled from college to prevent other students from becoming involved in the game, the principal said. Earlier this month, three people were reported to have played the game in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. So, the western disease of "video gaming" is spreading fast and wide. Malauna Ghazi of Lal Masjid should make "due note"
A psychiatrist at Peshawar’s Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) told The Express Tribune that two young men from Mardan between the ages of 19 and 21 had approached him for treatment after suffering from depression while trying to complete the ‘Blue Whale Challenge’. So, the "disease" does not "care" about the gender of the victims !
The “Blue Whale Challenge” made headlines after a report claimed that at least 130 teenagers in Russia were instigated to take their own lives by closed social media groups.
The game, which is believed to be inspired from the blue whales who have been known to beach themselves on purpose, prey on vulnerable teenagers with low self-esteem. The victims are manipulated by group admin(s) or game curator(s) into a series of tasks over the course of 50 days.
In the beginning, the participants are given seemingly harmless tasks like watching horror movies, not speaking to anyone for a day or going out at 3am. This escalates into tasks such as self-harm and going without sleep. Ultimately on day 50, the game supervisor demands players to take their own lives. The cure, as usual, ( for lack of funds !) will be outsourced to some foreign based NGO. !
The players are required to send videos and photos as proof that they have completed their tasks. In case of girls , the photos will be plus burkha or minus burkha

After "Video Gaming", The Other Western Disease Of Homo AKA Gay Marriages Makes Its Debut In "Small Town" Pakiland :D

Court moved against ‘gay couples’ nikah in Burewala

BUREWALA – An application has been filed in a local court seeking registration of case against solemnization of same-sex marriage couple nikah in Punjab’s tehsil Burewala.
Tariq Mehmood, the petitioner, who took the stance that Dr Muhammad Din got married with Zulfiqar Ali who is his ‘male bride’ on May 10, 2013, which is against the Quran and Sunnah. The applicant while making Tehsil Municipal Officer respondent said nikah registrar had registered this nikah in union council office. Solemnization nikah of a male with another male and then gets registration is against Islam and its teachings. Why invoke the name of a religion to protest, what in all other cultures would be considered "unnatural" and should be discouraged . But Pakistan practices "Sharia" and therefore the reference to The Book is necessary !
Four years have been passed, however, nikah has not been even revoked. I reported the matter to police station concerned but no action was taken on this grave issue, Tariq mentioned in his application.
The court, after hearing the arguments, summoned Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for next hearing for reply.

Example Of "Birds Of The Same Feather" Flock Together

Jamat-e-Islami lawmaker set to join PTI

ISLAMABAD – After Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) defection, the Jamat-e-Islami would lose one of its lawmakers in the National Assembly to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), local media reported. Immy's recruitment drive is proving successful !
JI’s Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sher Akbar Khan will reportedly part ways with the party to join the PTI .The media outlet quoting sources claimed that Akbar Khan will make announcement regarding leaving the party on October 8 during a PTI’s rally in Buner. Akbar Khan won the general election from constituency, NA-28, which is situated in Rega village.

The matter of going "beardless", or not to fit in the image of PTI will be left to the "defecting" MNA 's own discretion

Pakistanis feel the pinch of Trump's travel ban
Pakistan is among a handful of Muslim countries that are feeling the pinch of United States (US) President Donald Trump's visa ban about six months in, with 26 per cent fewer non-immigrant visas issued to Pakistanis in 2017 as compared to previous year's average, according to a Politico analysis.
Although Pakistan is not on the list of countries that were barred, it ─ along with a few other South Asian countries ─ has also seen a decline in the number of visas issued to travellers.
The issuance of visas to the seven countries initially named in the ban dropped 44pc this year compared to monthly average data from March to August in fiscal year 2016, Politico reported, with Syria and Yemen seeing the steepest declines.
Iran witnessed a 37pc decline in the number of visas issued over the six-month period in 2017 compared to March-Aug 2016, whereas Somalia saw a 42pc drop in visas in the same time period, the report said.
A New York City-based partner at Withers Worldwide, an immigration law firm, Riaz Jafri, told Politico he found that many people from Muslim-majority countries now choose not to travel to the US. He recalled meeting clients abroad who "didn't want to go through the hassle" of applying for a US visa.
Jafri, whose clients' nationalities include Pakistani, Indian, Malaysian, Indonesian and others, noted that he had seen four visa denials this year which were attributed to alleged links to terror groups, including a visa application from a prominent businessman, Politico reported.
"I don't think it's a coincidence... This is one of the ways that they're doing it [combating terrorism], by vetting individuals from Muslim-majority countries more thoroughly than other countries."

Soft Selling The Fauj To The Paki Parliament By The "New" COAS

Telling dissent, treachery apart

ARMY chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s interaction at GHQ with the House committees on defence was a welcome development and more so his commitment that he was happy to appear before parliament or any of its committees. (onlee for getting "rubberstamped" his request for "more" funds for the fauj  )
At a detailed session last week where parliamentarians were briefed on the army’s current operational commitments and preparedness, according to published media reports, the army chief said of the country’s budget that only 18 per cent was allocated for defence.
Sialkoti statistics ? lying brazen faced ?
The army chief also made a pitch for more resources as some “overdue” acquisitions had to be made. The public statement did not list these but one can be certain that the parliamentarians were taken into confidence.
This represented a departure from the past when parliamentarians were more or less asked to approve the military’s budgetary demands with their eyes shut, whereas now the army chief is seen to be making a case before them for resources. The "soft sell" strategy as opposed to the ham fisted approach of his predecessors !
This initiative by Gen Bajwa, in all likelihood, followed last month’s verbal consent ( what ! not "in writing" ) by the Senate to Chairman Raza Rabbani’s proposal for starting a discussion between parliament, the executive, the judiciary and the military.
Presenting his proposal, Mr Rabbani argued that parliament had been weakened as many decisions were taken outside it by political parties, and that major decisions pertaining to and dealing with foreign policy, internal security, international treaties and many other matters had never been brought before parliament. :D 70 years too late, too little :D
He also talked about the alarming trend of taking political questions to the judiciary for a resolution, while stressing the need for all institutions to remain within their limits as laid down by the Constitution.
Mr Rabbani’s suggestion received a positive response from several quarters though he was clear that it was beyond the scope of his office to organise or host such a meeting and the prime minister was best suited to do this. The "PM", who is like a "putty" in the hands of the fauj- can be molded in any shape or form by the "powerful fauj"
One can only term the Senate chairman’s views as practical because despite the fact that the Constitution isn’t ambiguous in assigning various roles and responsibilities to the different institutions, problems persist in their interactions. Ah! The farce of Paki style democracy !
One earnestly hopes that another issue of import can be raised which relates to state-level intolerance of criticism. The day after the heartbreaking news of the martyrdom of 22-year-old Lt Arsalan Alam, who fell to sniper fire reportedly from across the border in Khyber Agency last Saturday, the army chief made another statement.
To my ears, his statement held out a warning to those sitting abroad and apparently calling for a break-up of the country, that they would soon face the law. But some friends on social media expressed the view that the army chief’s words were also directed at the army’s critics. They also said that following the enforced disappearance of some dissenting bloggers (who, barring one, were later released after being roughed up and warned to mend their ways) in Pakistan earlier this year, the army chief was trying to warn dissenters everywhere that they will also be dealt with in a similar manner if they don’t desist. To heck with the "soft sell" scenario! Here, it is the "iron hand in the velvet glove" approach to the "country's enemies" - whatever it means
Whether I agree with the take of those on social media or not, their perception is rooted in factual, recorded incidents. Not unlike the pro-army commentators/social media accounts that always demand assurances from the dissenters that they are not externally-funded and motivated, the latter too need to hear that dissent does not equal treachery. Writer, "pushing the envelope", a bit too far ? He should be a little bit careful with his words, unless he does not mind harassing phone calls, or an unannounced visit to his home, or a formal intimation from PEMRA to "cease and desist" his anti-national activities !
That the state needs a massive deradicalisation effort with all hands on deck was evidenced again in the recently held by-election in Lahore where a condemned, executed murderer was openly eulogised as part of a religious group’s election campaign. Videos have emerged where ‘religious leaders’ belonging to this group have energised near-hysterical crowds using similar slogans and are openly saying that next year’s election is about this issue alone.Similarly, another group that has hailed Osama Bin Laden as a hero and still remains committed to jihad that transcends national boundaries also had a free hand in the September by-election in Lahore. Due to world pressure to rein in jihadi elements, the fauj has instead come out with the "brilliant strategy" of "mainstreaming" the jihadi elements . The fielding of MML candidate was just a "trial run" :D
Why am I compelled to restate over and over again that I feel the pain of losing a young Lt Arsalan Alam and seeing his mother’s grief on her stoic face, as much as anyone else? Why? The fauj is fighting its own flesh and blood, in the guise of "fighting terrorism" in FATA . And in the process "collecting welfare" from NGO and foreign Govts.

How dare Asif insults Hafiz Saeed by calling him "Darling of West"..
And he never went near White House .. let alone being "wined and dined"..
Hafiz Saeed sends Khawaja Asif Rs100m defamation notice

A legal team — on behalf of the chief of the banned Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), Hafiz Saeed — on Friday sent a Rs100 million defamation notice to Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif for his remarks at the Asia Society forum in New York earlier this week.

Asif, who told the forum that Pakistan was not to blame for militant outfits in the country, had said: "Don't blame us for the Haqqanis [the Haqqani Network] and don't blame us for the Hafiz Saeeds [referring to the head of banned Jamaatud Dawa]. These people were your darlings just 20 to 30 years back. They were being dined and wined in the White House and now you say 'go to hell Pakistanis because you are nurturing these people'."

The notice, served by Advocate AK Dogar under Section 8 of the Defamation Ordinance of 2002, claims that Saeed is "respected as a deeply religious and devout Muslim".

"I will be failing in my duty as a lawyer if I do not remind you of the Fundamental Right enshrined in Article 14 that [the] dignity of man is guaranteed by our Constitution," it continues.

The notice accuses Asif of "an absolute lie and falsehood that Hafiz Muhammad Saeed is one of those persons who had been the darlings of Americans and had been dining and wining in the White House."

"I have been advised by Hafiz Muhammad Saeed to tell you that he has never been near the White House, not to speak of wined and dined. It is shocking to know that the foreign minister of my country is accusing Hafiz Muhammad Saeed of taking wine. This is abusive language and can never be used about my client. He is [a] patriotic Islam loving Muslim following the dictates of [the] Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). This is a defamatory statement punishable under Section 500 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) to five years imprisonment and with [a] fine."

Dogar provides the definition of defamation as under Section 499 of the PPC: "Whoever by words either spoken or intended to be read makes any imputation concerning any person so as to harm his reputation is said to defame that person."

"The imputation of wining is a false statement which has injured the reputation of my client and lowered him in the estimation of others. This is slander and actionable libel. I am constrained to issue this 14 days' notice under Section 8 of the Defamation Ordinance 2002 of the intention of my client to bring an action against you specifying the defamatory matter complained of."

"Please take notice that my client intends to file a suit for damages to the tune of Rs100m for injuring the reputation of my client not only in Pakistan but all over the world."

"Please take notice that apart from civil remedy, my client has a right to file a criminal complaint against you under Section 500 of the PPC. It goes without saying that you will be responsible for the entire cost of litigation," he finishes.

Saeed was put under house arrest at his residence in Lahore's Johar Town earlier this year in what Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) termed "a policy decision".

Director General ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said of the arrest: "This is a policy decision that the state took in national interest. Lots of institutions will have to do their jobs."

He denied that any foreign pressure was behind the arrest of the JuD chief.

He was detained under Section 11-EEE(1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1977, according to an Interior Ministry notification issued at the time.

Recently, the Punjab home ministry, responding to an appeal for Saeed's release before the Lahore High Court, said that releasing the JuD chief would cause unrest in the province.

The ministry said that Saeed was put under house arrest under the anti-terrorism laws to keep him from collecting funds ─ which is a violation of various resolutions of the United Nations ─ and that reports on the matter from the police and Counter-Terrorism Department had been submitted to the court.

The ministry pointed out that various cases were registered against members of JuD for collecting hides during the three days of Eidul Azha in contempt of the ministry's orders. Cases were also registered against the party for collecting funds in contempt of the provincial ministry's orders, the reply said.

The ministry also mentioned in its reply that the Election Commission of Pakistan had asked the JuD's political wing Milli Muslim League's (MML) NA-120 by-poll candidate to remove Saeed's pictures from the promotional posters.

The house arrest of Saeed comes after years of pressure on Pakistan to put the JuD chief on trial and could ease recently escalating tensions with neighbour and arch-foe India.

Saeed had been accused by the United States and India of masterminding the 2008 attacks on the Indian financial capital Mumbai that killed 166 people.

He, however, has repeatedly denied involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

http://www.rediff.com/news/column/is-th ... 170929.htm

Is this the Pakistani sunset?

Pakistan continues to calibrate terrorism in Afghanistan and India. A state has been reached where most of the world has begun to hyphenate ‘Pakistan & North Korea’ together as rogue states.

In the case of North Korea, at least their internal situation is very much under control, be it by means fair or foul. However, in Pakistan’s case the internal situation is in turmoil.

For too long have they harboured too many terrorist organisations. Now, these establishments have found firm anchorage and challenge the authorities.

Their leadership roams at will, often makes statements to the press and seem to be unaffected by the law enforcement agencies or the honourable legal institutions that can otherwise get a Pakistani prime minister to resign.

Parallel with the tanzeems finding firm anchorage in Pakistan, has gone on this business of exporting terror to neighbours. The Afghans are fed up. India has been informing the whole world. The Americans have off late stated it loud and clear. Even its all-weather friend China joined the chorus in the BRICS summit on September 4 to name the terrorist organisations that operate from its soil.

The American President’s speech on the new Afghan policy chastised Pakistan unequivocally. His stark statement conveyed that at least 20 organisations, in the American list of terrorist groups, operate from Pakistan.

Trump also promised to cut off aid that has so long been used to target American service personnel in Afghanistan. Pakistan, a nation living on doles even after seven decades of independence, has been justifiably shaken.

Pakistan has reacted to Trump’s threat with varying tones, tenors and pitches. While the foreign minister talked about distancing themselves from terrorists, the defence minister reiterated the old parody; these organisations are the strategic partners of Pakistani Army. The new prime minister has kept his own counsel.

Perhaps an equally harsh blow was delivered in the BRICS meet in Beijing, when the joint statement of the participating countries named terrorist outfits operating out of Pakistan by name.

The role of honour included Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The fact of even China, Pakistan’s sole all-weather friend, teaming up with the rest, surely causes enough consternation at Islamabad.

In the recent past, the Russians have seemingly gone soft on Pakistan. The Indians leaning the American way may have been one of the primers. It surely is also driven by the desire to make Afghanistan more costly for the Americans.

However, it’s doubtful whether the correct payback time is now for all that the Americans did to them when they ran Afghanistan in the 1980s. The reasons are simple. The USSR broke up in part due to its overreach, with Afghanistan being the biggest bleeding wound. No one knows why not to get into Afghanistan, better than the Russians.

While relating with Pakistan, Russians will surely understand the losses it will incur in terms of its most lucrative arms market and a long history of a robust relationship.

Pakistan has been a frontline state in the US lead Global War Against Terror. For the frontline state to lose its pole position and being identified as being part of the problem, is a huge shift.

An equally big issue is the tap being closed for funds to flow. Pakistan received US $3.5 bn in 2011 as compared to less than US $1 bn in 2016. Other than West Asians donors, there is only China left to fund.

There are sound reasons for the Pakistani GDP growth rate to tumble. If the new American approach gathers momentum in the days ahead, Pakistan could be headed for sanctions that might just hasten the process.

If they do try and stage another major attack in India, the sanctions may not be too far away.

Image used for representational purpose. Photograph: Reuters.
In the interim, with American funding on the wane, Pakistan has opted for the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) bandwagon.

The China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) is the crown jewel of BRI. It passes through Gilgit-Baltistan, a territory that’s disputed between India and Pakistan, and then traverses across the length of Pakistan to terminate at the Chinese funded Gwadar Port on the Arabian Sea that’s been leased to a state run Chinese company for 40 years.

The Pakistani government has not been able to sell the CPEC concept to its people. Pakistanis are not inclined to believe that CPEC will prove to be a high octane growth driver for their economy.

On the contrary, they are worried about landing in a debt trap, losing their strategic autonomy, detrimental impact on social cohesion and aggravation of insurgent/ violent movements in Baluchistan and other regions that the CPEC arteries will pass through.

Of all CPEC’s impacts, the affect on an already fragile social cohesion is the most worrisome. As CPEC progresses, attacks on the assets being created will only increase, thus prompting the Pakistani state to respond in a heavy handed manner.

It will, sooner or later, initiate a vicious cycle of violence between government forces and Islamist tanzeems.

The Americans have apparently distanced themselves from Pakistan, for good. The Chinese are feeling the heat with the gradual rise in the number of nations viewing Pakistan as the nursery of global terror.

Pakistan, barely has any other staunch supporters other than USA and China. Under the circumstances, can sanctions follow, quite on the pattern that the other rogue state, North Korea faces. Such a step will only aggravate centrifugal forces in Pakistan; the existing fractures between Pakistan’s provinces will only run deeper and the chasms spread wider.

The writing is on the wall for Pakistan. Either they switch over to combating terrorism and stop aiding terrorist groups, or international opinion against them swells leading to greater isolation and measures being initiated to rein in a state identified as rogue.

Surgical strike

Postby SSridhar » 30 Sep 2017 21:57

The Republic TV Channel is currently running an interview with Lt. Gen. Hooda about the surgical strike. Some interesting facts: the General wouldn't say that but our SF went upto 7 Kms inside, there was a live feed all the time, the attack went on for five-and-a-half hours, and there was not much of radio communication on the Terroristani side indicating they were taken totally by surprise

Paki F.O. Basks In "The Accident Of Geography"

US considers Pakistan important country of region: FO

ISLAMABAD: Spokesman to the Foreign Office, Nafees Zakaria Friday said United States (US) considered Pakistan as an important country of the region. Access to Afghanistan needed by Massa ! Worry About "Bum falling into wrong hands" worries Massa 24/7
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had held important meetings on sideline of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session with high ranked officials of various countries, he said talking to PTV. The PM’s meeting with Vice President of United States was very important, and both the countries wanted to engage each other, he said. POTUS matters in USA. POTUS ignored Pakiland PM !
More than one million Afghan students were studying in Pakistani institutions ( how many are enrolled in Akora Khattak and the Binori "Islamic University" in Kraachi !) and many had gone back after getting education, ( and joining the Taliban !) he said. Nafees Zakaria said there were no safe havens of terrorists in Pakistan and we had rejected the allegations in this regard.
He said, Afghanistan was the country where these safe havens existed. He added that Afghan government did not have its control on its 40 percent area. The spokesman said Indian activities in Afghanistan had been shared with Afghan and US government with proper evidence. which is gathering dust in Kabul and DC.
Confessional statement of Kulbhushan Jadhav was also an evidence in this regard. Pakistan had been holding high-level meetings with Afghanistan for establishing better relations and moving ahead for resolving issues, he said. Preparing the grounds for Bajwa's visit to Kabul

Shenanigans At The New "Under-Construction" Isloo Airport

Story of Incompetence: New Islamabad Airport Delayed Yet Again

The Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat were informed that in order to sustain the expected traffic in the future, the New Islamabad International Airport ( which is to be named after tallel than mountain flied, Xi Jinping !) needs another runway – which wasn’t planned before. The airport currently has only 2 runways. This will definitely push the opening date of the airport even further ahead than the scheduled Independence Day last month.
The plan of a third runway wasn’t included in the initial planning of the airport and it is a consequence of the poor execution and planning which led to incorrect design and construction of the runways, claim experts. ( "Someone" forgot to plan in advance  )
CAA Director, General Asim Suleiman, said that in the initial planning phase the third runway wasn’t included due to financial limits. The third runway is being added following the instructions of the Prime Minister. Xi Jinping / China should pay for the additional cost. Licence fee for the honour of Xi's name being "neoned" for life at the Airport Building. Financial problem thus solved !
Senator Badini questioned the Director General asking him why the plans were not concluded with no land being purchased – the Director couldn’t respond. Questions and answers - the farce of Paki Democracy on display

Earlier this year, the American consultant responsible for the finalization of the project fled without carrying our his duties. On the job stress, or some sort of gol-maal
The airport’s completion was expected 2 years ago. The government has made several announcements regarding the airports completion. The latest inauguration date was promised by the government this year – on August 14th – but it got delayed to December due to incomplete link roads. Again "planning" done on the fly
Thanks to the irregularities in the project and peculiar delays in its completion, it might not be functional till next year.
Its odd that the planners have only now realised – a month later after the August 14th deadline passed – that the airport needs another runway and now it will delay it even more. In the interest of its own security, the newspaper, and the reporter, should "go easy" on the criticism levied against the incompetent authorities !
According to the officials, the two runways already built at the airport are not big enough to allow simultaneous take-off and landing by two airplanes, the wings of the airplanes will collide. Again no advance planning. Appointments to senior positions based on sifarish onlee

Homeopathic doctor works as consultant at new Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: If an audit report of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is to be believed, none of the 12 engineering consultants hired for the under-construction New Islamabad International Airport hold engineering degrees.Instead, there is a homeopathic doctor, simple graduates or persons with certificates in electrical or civil engineering hired as project management consultants (PMCs). Even the project manager holds a master’s degree in business administration. When important technical and important managerial jobs are dispensed on the basis of sifarish (ie connections ) onlee, the results are as above ! ( STORY OF INCOMPETENCE !)

From "Airport Construction" For The Elites To Vegetable Supply For The Awaam, Incompetency Looms Large In Pakiland

National Vegetable Boycott Looms as Onion and Tomato Prices Rise Higher

Do you remember the great fruit price outrage this Ramzan? An exercise that forced fruit sellers in various Pakistani cities to bring down their prices significantly? Only this time, a great shortage of vegetables (particular of tomatoes and onions) has hit the country. And true to form, prices of those essential vegetable items have doubled in many cities. To make matters worse, no one in the top echelons of the government or the traders associations seems to have the solution to it. Last time, the "poor" Pashtun fruit sellers were "punished" by the boycotting Abduls, this time, it may the Pakjabi veggy sellers !
The government says that the prices have doubled due to the disruption of tomato and onion supply from India. Some "clever" Minister decided to "punish" India by not allowing imports of tomatoes and onions across the border ( "gosht" - a staple of Paki meat diets- and imported from India remains untouched !) and without arranging supplies from alternate sources - Afghanistan or Iran - and now the awaam is suffering !
The vegetable traders say that the government’s incompetence, especially with as many as two different ministries, is to blame for the price hike of onions and vegetables. They have pointed their fingers at the Commerce Ministry, who in their infinite ‘wisdom’ decided to export vegetables without even taking notice of the fact that onion production was down 30-40% this year. They also said that that tomato season in Kabul and Quetta has ended as well and this too was not taken into account by the government. This is what happens when govt officials adopt "don't care" attitude towards the suffering masses or jobs are doled out strictly on the basis of sifarish without regard to qualification and /or experience
Many Pakistani households rely on vegetables as part of their staple diets. Tomatoes and onions are a vital component of many a Pakistani diet, be it in rural or urban areas. Given this scenario, the current crisis has essentially caused undue pressure for all manner of household budgets. 1 kg of tomatoes now cost nearly Rs. 250, more than doubling in price in the last one week when you could get the same for Rs 80-100. :((
Traders say that the government was sleeping as it transported more trucks to export vegetable stocks to Kabul. Incredibly, the number of trucks that imported vegetables from Kabul were a fraction of those that were sent for exports. The Paki Govt - for Echendee purposes - does not allow through trade from Afghanistan to India !
It seems that there are no checks and balances on part of the Commerce Ministry and the Ministry in charge of Food & Security. Working at cross-purposes to each other seems to be the order of the day. Perhaps if the Federal government devoted more time to matters at home than to put all its time and resources defending a disqualified ex-PM, such a situation would not have come to pass in the first place. This newspaper is clearly bent on defaming Ganja and his govt !
This isn’t the first time the country has faced a shortage of essential commodities during the present government. A few years back, current Prime Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi, who was the Petroleum Minister during January 2015, admitted that he was responsible for petrol shortage in the country. Some others claim that as Minister , he "made lots of money" in his portfolio . So, as PM, there is even greater potential for him for gol-maal
We hope that this situation is resolved soon before it snowballs into a much bigger crisis in the days ahead. Does the Paki Govt care

Asif Ensconced In "Big Apple" At Last Will Meet Tillerson ( no date fixed yet though. Further wait at the hotel. Cooling heels :D)

Pakistan – US high level talks resume

NEW YORK – Pakistan Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif is planned  to meet with US Secretary of State Tillerson which would be a continuation of the first high-level meeting held between Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and US Vice President Mike Pence after President Donald Trump’s Afghan policy announcement.
At that meeting, Mr Pence suggested sending a US delegation to Islamabad for detente between the allies in the backdrop of Donald Trump’s August 21st speech.
Islamabad accepted the US proposal but conditioned the talks with a meeting in Washington first. Pakistan, in an earlier emotional outburst ,"cancelled" the first announced meeting, following POTUS speech, in retaliation of Trump's "harsh words" for Pakistan !
Pakistani officials pointed out that the speech had irked both opposition and treasury benches who unanimously adopted a resolution in the parliament, urging the government to reconsider its relations with the United States. The H&D factor, riling up the masses etc etc :D
Mr Asif’s meeting with Secretary Tillerson on Oct 4 would be followed by a gathering at the US Institute of Peace (USIP), Washington, on US-Pakistan relations. While the USIP has confirmed the talk on October 5th, the State Department is still reluctant to publicly announce the visit. Asif will have to cool his heals a bit longer . Hope the Paki embassy have enough money on hand to fund his stay at a five star hotel, otherwise, he may have to downsize
Donald Trump’s speech in which he highlighted the policy shift for South-Asia and particularly Afghanistan was perceived in bad taste by Pakistani officials as the president had alleged ( not alleged ! OBL "proof" is there for all to see :x ) Islamabad of providing safe havens to militants.

Hafiz Suar To Asif : Defaming Me On Amreeki Soil Will Not Be Tolerated

JuD chief Hafiz Saeed sends Khawaja Asif Rs100m defamation notice

LAHORE – Hfiz Saeed, the chief of banned organisation, Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), has sent a legal notice to Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif ( "blessings" from "Deep State" )for his controversial statement against his party in United State (US) last week.
The notice, served by Advocate AK Dogar under Section 8 of the Defamation Ordinance of 2002, claims that emir JuD is “respected as a deeply religious and devout Muslim”. ( On which "Massa" ie US has placed a bounty of $ 10 Million !)
Speaking at Asia Society seminar in New York, Pakistan’s foreign minister said these people had been invited in the ‘White House.’ He said, “Don’t blame us for the Haqqanis and don’t blame us for the JuD chief. These are the people who were your darlings just 20 to 30 years back”, Khawja had told the participants. He should not have lumped these two "good terrorists" together !
Asif said, “It is very easy to say Pakistan is floating the Haqqanis and Hafiz Saeed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. They are liabilities. I accept that they are liabilities, but give us time to get rid of them because we don’t have the assets to match these liabilities and you are increasing them further.” This is classically known as "doublespeak". (One message for domestic audiences ( preferably in Urdu !) and a different message on foreign soil, or to foreign reporters . Immy, Mush and now Asif have perfected this to an art form  )
On January 22, 2015, In a significant move towards the execution of the National Action Plan against terrorism, the interior ministry has included the Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and the Haqqani network in the list of proscribed outfits, it has been learnt. On paper onlee ! Otherwise, they are free to do "anything", from the comfort of their "safe"houses/ :D
Saeed had been accused by the United States and India of masterminding the 2008 attacks on the Indian financial capital Mumbai that killed 166 people. He, however, has repeatedly denied involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Chinese Diplomat In Isloo ( With A "Muslim Fake Name" Earlier  ) Indulges In PR giri And CPEC Damage Control !

CPEC coordination affected briefly by Nawaz’ ouster, says Chinese diplomat Lijian Zhao (Mohammad Missing from name !)

ISLAMABAD – A senior Chinese diplomat on Friday admitted that the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister disrupted coordination for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for a brief period of time. So, CPEC is/was Ganja's pet projects, "guaranteed" to lift Pakistan to an economic mini super power
Lijian Zhao, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) and Minister Counsellor at Chinese Embassy said that after the removal of Nawaz Sharif in late July, the post of the planning minister remained vacant for about two months but added that after the appointment of Ahsan Iqbal as planning minister again, the condition improved. So, this "Chinese Diplomat" is well up to date with Paki politics , not unlike some Paki Diplomats posted in Peking, based on sifarish !
The diplomat expressed it will not be correct to say CPEC was not affected at all by the change of the prime minister and continued that to say it was affected grossly will also be a wrong statement.“Projects on grounds remained unaffected,” the diplomat said.Zhao clarified that Nawaz Sharif might have been removed but his party was still in the government which showed the stability of the system. By saying "all this", is he not interfering in Internal Paki affairs
Regarding the allegations of corruption in CPEC related projects, the Chinese diplomat said so far not a single incident of corruption had been observed in projects.“China was closely monitoring CPEC projects to ensure they were graft-free and current Chinese leadership was very strict regarding corruption” "Over there" it is "jail for life" or straight execution if caught in a golmaal , unless you have "extremely high sifarish", or an extremely high position, then you remain untouched !
Regarding the allegations of “mega corruption” scam worth Rs1.8 billion in Multan Metro Bus, the diplomat clarified that Yabaite lied about investment and profits in many countries to artificially raise its share prices in China for which it was probed and punished by the Chinese counterpart of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). Shahbaaz is allegedly involved in this scam per Imran Khan !
He said before the initiation of CPEC there was up to 12-hour load-shedding in Pakistan which had reduced to a couple of hours now and would soon be completely over. “After a few years Pakistan will face a different problem; how to deal with surplus energy? The country will be able to choose its option to sell extra electricity,” he declared. Pakis like to hear "good word" - true or false does not matter - about their country :D
The Chinese official went on and claimed that there will be at least 60,000 jobs directly related to CPEC while countless other jobs will be created as a result of economic activity generated by the corridor. How many jobs will go to Pakis and how many positions will be filled by imported Chinese workers ( for lack of Paki expertise !) is obviously not mentioned
“Let’s be clear CPEC is not a gift or assistance. It has two major components, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Soft loans.”He also negated the claims made by few analysts that Pakistan had to pay 13 percent interest rate for Chinese projects.
“These are totally fabricated figures motivated either by political agenda or vested interest”. He clarified that for projects under soft loans worth about $6 billion the interest rate was 2 percent while for FDI the interest rate was 6 percent. In keeping with the "art and science of diplomacy" , saving the "bad news" for the end

PEMRA ( AKA "Media Police" ) Comes Out Swinging On Behalf Of One Segment Of "Deep State"

Pemra seeks ARY News response to IB complaint against 'fake news'

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Saturday directed ARY News to respond to a complaint filed by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) against its report on a list of lawmakers suspected of links with banned militant groups allegedly compiled by the IB.
The list first came to light when ARY News programme 'Power Play' aired a report on Sept 25 claiming that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had directed the IB on July 10 — three weeks before his disqualification — to keep watch on the listed legislators, mostly belonging to the PML-N.
The list is said to contain the names of over 37 lawmakers suspected of having links with banned terrorist and sectarian outfits.According to a Pemra press release, the complainant, the IB, said that 'Power Play' host Arshad Sharif "aired a fabricated news story alleging initiation of a report by the IB and displayed a fake document with regard to linkages of 37 parliamentarians with defunct and militant organisations" on Sept 25 and 27. Waving " just a piece of paper with 37 names" in front of a TV camera - and adding some "masala" in the audio segment - for the sake of "earning high ratings" surely falls in the category of "fake news"
Although the IB had "officially rebutted the fake story on Sept 26, the programme host had ignored the clarification made by the state institution in his programme aired on Sept 27 and repeated the fake allegations", Pemra said. There seems some kind of "turf war" between the domestic intelligence watchdog ( IB ) and the notorious "two eyes with an Ass in between".
A number of ministers whose names were on the "fabricated" list raised the issue during a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi earlier this week. They said that the report sought to damage their reputations and called for strict action to be taken against the "plotters", as the IB had denied receiving any such directives from the Prime Minister’s Office or possessing any such list.
Members of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Procedure and Privileges on Friday also protested against the 'IB list' and decided to summon the IB director general (DG) to provide clarification on the matter, as the intelligence agency had earlier denied the media reports.

Is The Paki "National Carrier" In Trouble Again

High Commissioner visits PIA office in New Delhi

ISLAMABAD, Sept 30 (APP): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Sohail Mahmood visited the PIA office in New Delhi on Friday. He was accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah.Greeted by the PIA General Manager, M.A Barakzai and other staff, the High Commissioner was briefed on the operational and organizational matters of the national flag carrier, a message received here Saturday from Pakistan High Commission New Delhi said. The High Commissioner was informed that PIA had two town offices in India, the other one located in Mumbai. Besides reservations, the offices also house the operational setup, which ensures on-time departure and arrival of flights besides handling passenger issues. The High Commissioner assured the PIA staff of support and cooperation in required areas.A pictorial book on Pakistan was presented as a memento to the PIA office on the occasion. Every time, I see a news item about Pee Eye Aye, I think about a decrepit airline, its inefficient and corruption staff and pilot, its unsafe planes, its bad reputation etc etc . This news item does not state the purpose of the visit by the Paki Top Honcho in India . It could be - by the looks of it ( pictorial book being presented ! ) a courtesy call by the New Man In New Delhi . Or it could also mean ominous things to come

A "Liberal Paki" Speaks Out His Mind

Of revealing dresses and screenshots

This week Pakistan was noisy for it had been rattled. You see, there was this woman who was photographed wearing clothes that were too short. She was smoking too. To make matters worse, she was seen next to an Indian. The paparazzi photographs spread across Pakistan’s social media scape like wildfire. Apparently, everyone had something to say about the picture. Some insisted she had betrayed Pakistaniyat and had brought shame to the all-holy culture of our beautiful homeland. Others insisted that she was never really a role model for ethics so her photographs should not impact our social insecurities. None, however, looked away acknowledging that a) their point of view did not matter and b) they had no right whatsoever to judge the woman who was living her own life with her own rules. Thank God Allah that he is not alluding to the "noise and rattle" in the political arena
Pakistan was scarred this week too for it saw something unholy about a man who is the epitome of holy. A man who lectures on piety, modesty and ethics was caught red-handed being purely unethical. Screenshots of his conversations were shared where he used stomach-churning naughty lingo with a woman. Many came out with pitchforks, shamming him for his hypocrisy. Even more came out to support him, terming all of this a mere conspiracy. Not sure which Paki politico or "holy man" he is referring to
Why is the Pakistani society so obsessed with defining and imposing morality? A quick google search reveals that Pakistan is amongst the top 5 most unsafe countries for women in the world. Others that share our ranking include countries that are either warzones or similarly fixated on ensuring modesty within their society. "shooting straight" from the hip :D
The same ‘American and European’ countries our Mullahs love to paint pictures of might be ‘immoral’ according to their standards, are very safe environments for women.
As a nation, we need to come out of our mole holes and see the world as it is, a world where social standards to morality don’t mitigate societal evils but, in fact, contribute to them. Our assumptions, for example, to train our younger generation on masturbation being a sin has been a blatant failure. ( He has "inside knowledge" of this )
Similarly, while illegal, every city has a throng of prostitution centers catering to clienteles of all social cadres. It is this reason alone why internet cafes which should be venues of information and academic pursuits are synonymous with poon :D in Pakistan. Clearly, we as a society, have failed miserably at putting these things to an end. Is he proposing officially sanctioned "red light" areas in Islamic Pakistan
And yet, we refuse to learn. We continue to assume that we can dictate morality on each other and those who don’t agree to it, have to face the same fate as Qandeel. ( The "small town model" who was "honour-killed" by her family  )
It is important we realize that these pursuits are futile and we must devote our time and energy on more important things than the length of the dress the women of Pakistan chose to wear or the language and form of personal chats between two people. Beliefs and values- which take a long time to change - cannot be "wished away" :D

Indian Govt Nails Khawaja Asif's Blatant Lie

India rejects Asif's claim of 'Jadhav swapping offer with TTP terrorist'

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs rejected Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif’s claim that Pakistan was offered to swap self-confessed Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav with a terrorist involved in Army Public School attack in Peshawar, reported Times of India. “You have already seen a press release issued by the Afghan National Security Adviser’s office. If you have gone through the press release, it seems this is one more addition to the long list of imaginary lies and stories created by the Pakistani establishment,” spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said. The Sialkoti Foreign Minister has a notorious reputation for bombastic statements and in some cases outright lying
During an interview with Asia Society, Khawaja Asif had revealed that Pakistan was offered to exchange Jadhav with a terrorist involved in the 2014 Peshawar school attack. “The Afghan government has admitted that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has safe havens on Afghan soil and operates from there. The terrorist who killed children in APS in Peshawar, is in Afghan custody,” Asif had said, claiming that the Afghan national security adviser had offered to exchange the suspected terrorist with Jadhav. To make an interview "interesting" and grab media attention in this 24/7 competitive news cycle, politicians resort to hyperbole or outright lying - as in this case ! ( the Minister has been cooling his heels in a Massaland 5 star hotel , until Tillerson makes some time for him to present the Paki Govt's case, to keep the "money pipeline" open  )
According to the Times of India report, Afghan forces had captured TTP chief Mullah Fazlullah. It said a source had revealed that the Afghan national security adviser could have been hinting at swapping Fazlullah in exchange for Jadhav to Pakistan’s foreign minister.
However, the report also said that the office of Afghan National Security Adviser Mohammad Haneef Atmar issued a statement saying there was no mention or reference to India or an Indian citizen during his meeting with Asif on September 21 in New York.
Nailed the Sialkoti's lie
“The two sides also discussed sanctuaries in Pakistan and exchange of the top five Taliban leaders detained in Pakistan. There was no mention or reference to India or an Indian citizen.” :D

I seriously get the impression that the same bunch of guys take turns at dressing up as guards and burka-ed 'suspects' while playing scurity-scurity.
