Retracting one's envoy just does not cut it. It has no meaning. What would be necessary now is an official statement by the Palestinians on where they stand on the Kashmir issue. Let that be forthcoming and future Indian stand on Palestine should be guided by that statement. If it's against the Indian position, India should immediately revise it's vote in the UNGA.

Shahbaaz- The Clever Brother - Negotiating Nawaz's Fate With The Saudis :D

Shehbaz up to something big in Saudi Arabia
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif is currently in Saudi Arabia and the rumour mills in the country are churning out as many theories as possible. However, the real reason behind the rumour mills going berserk is that the whole visit is shrouded in mystery.
It was Al-Jazeera that reported on December 28 that Shehbaz Sharif had held a meeting with ambassadors of 16 countries at his residence in Model Town, Lahore, ( not in Jati Umra  ) before leaving for Saudi Arabia
After the meeting, Shehbaz went straight to the airport where a Saudi plane was already waiting for him and he didn’t take any of his usual crew members with him on the visit, but only the very close and trusted aides were taken along. But he wasn’t alone in the plane.
Daily Times has learnt through credible sources that there were few senior Saudi officials already inside the plane and the first meeting took place during the flight. (Saudis not Pakistanis deciding the fate of an Ex PM !)
As soon as the younger Sharif landed in Saudi Arabia, the entry for the media personnel from Pakistan into the kingdom was virtually blocked almost immediately. The sources told that at least two major news channels from Pakistan requested visas for their reporters to Saudi Arabia but were not granted any.
Shehbaz Sharif has already held some very important meetings with senior Saudi officials in Medina but only the photos from Prophet’s mosque have made it to the media so far. It has been learnt that no one, other than those performing Umrah, ( the de-jure Umrah !) was allowed an entry into the mosque while CM was inside.
The sources told that the photos of his meeting with Turkish premier made it to the media without the approval of both. However, the media was told that the meeting was unscheduled.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also leaving for Saudi Arabia today. It was previously reported that Tayyip Erdogan will also be in Saudi Arabia during Nawaz Sharif’s visit but the Turkish President’s visit has reportedly been cancelled now because of excessive speculation about his role in a ‘deal’ that is allegedly being brokered in Saudi Arabia right now. Are the Saudis still seeking Tayyip's "advice". Has he not cast his lot with the Qataris in the inter-ummah tiff
Moreover, Nawaz was earlier scheduled to land in Jeddah but the reports claim that he will head straight to the Saudi capital Riyadh now.
However, Nawaz Sharif has only been invited to Saudi Arabia after various meetings between his brother Shehbaz Sharif and some senior Saudi officials. It is pertinent to mention here that National Security Advisor Nasir Khan Janjua had briefed the former premier on national security and terrorism in a meeting at Nawaz Sharif’s Jati Umra residence on Thursday that continued for approximately five hours. Janjua , the fauji emissary , essentially put Nawaz on notice, that his days as a politico in Pakistan are numbered !
Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet the Muhammad bin Salman, who is apparently the de facto ruler of the kingdom right now, on Sunday or late Saturday night. The reason behind Nawaz Sharif landing directly in Riyadh could also be an early meeting with the crown prince, sources told. The Nawaz clan will have to deal with the new Saudi faction who is now in power !

Bakistan is the 52nd state of US of A & “AAA” (Allah, Army & Amrika) rules Bakistan.

This was evident from 16th Aug, 1947 itself.

Think of Bakistan as Diego Garcia of the subcontinent mainland. A must have whore for any superpower.

Only a very violent internal fissure of bakistan will break this “knot”.

I will be very happy if that happens in my lifetime.

Pakistan Army chief assures ailing child of support
But, how can shifting to CMCH help the patient? They don't do heart transplants in Pakistan, do they? Cardiomyopathy at this stage of 20% heart capacity cannot be treated by medicines. The Army chief has to swallow his pride and ask GoI for a visa & treatment. Nothing else will work.

I wonder why the Pakistanis don't go to the taller than the tallest mountain friend China for treatment.
But,but Indians (especially Hindus) have a notoriously small heart. How will it fit this kid with such a huge Pakistani Muslim Heart?

Nawaz Sharif may reach political deal with Military establishment: Hindustan Times
NEW DELHI - Backdoor diplomacy initiated by Saudi Arabia and the UAE may help ease tensions between Pakistan's military and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif with a possibility of a political deal on the horizon, according to sources in political circles, Hindustan Times has reported.
Nawaz Sharif will be in Saudi Arabia over the weekend to meet with Saudi crown prince Muhammad Bin Salman at the request of the Pakistani military high command which wants to avert a head-on collision with the former prime minister. Sharif will be expected to tone down his barbed attacks against the military and in exchange some sort of deal could be in the offing under which Shahbaz Sharif would be given the military's endorsement as the country's next prime minister while Nawaz Sharif would be allowed to retain his position as the president of the ruling PML-N party.
Shahbaz Sharif, the younger brother of Nawaz and the chief minister of Punjab, is already on an official visit in Saudi Arabia.
He was nominated for the position of prime minister by Nawaz earlier this month after the possibility of Nawaz being able to run for a fourth term was ruled out by the courts.
Sounds good on paper. Military endorsement ( whatever it means !) does not necessarily mean that "fauj" will manipulate election results to ensure Shahbaaz is PM. What about Immy- the PM in waiting ? Will he be left out in the cold ? And will the Islami parties that are being "mainstreamed" . Will they continue to be used as "pressure points" ? Too many unanswered questions IMO

The Hindu's age old gullibility (for sob stories - history is replete with them) and decades of falling for this usual paki self-entitled cr@p (elder brother & goodwill) will ensure that this poor kid will get a free heart surgery in a hospital in India. Add to this Sushma Aunty's weird tactics.

Ayesha Gulalai told to sit behind stage occupied by men to show respect for tribal customs
MNA Ayesha Gulalai was not allowed to sit on a stage occupied by her male counterparts when she arrived at a protest on Saturday to register her voice against the proposed merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, forcing her to eventually leave in disappointment.
Was this protest "for or against" the merger? BTW, Ayeshaji is same dame who complained of harassment by immy the dimmy. Now, will she complain of unfair treatment by the very momeens who she claims she represents?

This non-apology apology is exactly what I expected from the palestinians. A typical cop out. A complete failure on the palestinian position on Kashmir. It completely misses the point where the paki suar terrorist talks openly about jihad in Kashmir and this nincompoop of an ambassador, who follows the suar, ignores it or deny any support of that rant. Any "ambassador" at any public reception in any country will first try and find out who else will be at that reception and what the agenda would be. This guy had no clue. But ignorance is no excuse.

After all, it's all about the ammah!

The Indian FM should reject it as completely unacceptable, and declare its intentions to retract its UNGA vote. If it were up to me, I would retract that vote anyhow and declare India's intentions to set up a fully function consulate with a full staff in Jerusalem.

Watch the palestinians squirm for a change.

On second thought, Indian FM should extract an apology from the paki foreign office for mixing national politics with terrorism, and for putting the palestinians in an untenable position.

The PLO should ask the same apology from the pakis.

There is no ISIS in pakhanistan.

Five IS militants killed in ‘encounter’ outside Karachi: police
Acting on a tip-off, Sohrab Goth police conducted a targeted raid on an alleged militant hideout in Gharibabad near Ayub Goth off Superhighway. During the encounter that ensued, five suspects linked to IS were killed.
Must be Raa or Mo'sad agents masquerading as IS to create the impression that ISIS is active in pakhanistan.

Hmmm...I wonder what the new name will be? Hain?

Gulalai claimed that half the PTI would soon join her.

Pakistan defends Palestinian envoy's participation at Hafiz Saeed event
Hours after the Palestinian ambassador to Islamabad was recalled from his post, Pakistan came out in defence of the envoy, whose presence at a rally organised by Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief and 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed had sparked outcry from India.
Islamabad also viewed Hafiz Saeed's participation at the event in Rawalpindi with relative latitude, observing that his designation as a global terrorist by the United Nations does not entail that he can't exercise his right to free speech.
Contrary to the impression being created, UN proscription does not place any restrictions on the freedom of expression

192 pilgrims denied visa by India for Nizamuddin’s Urs, says Pakistan Foreign Office
http://indianexpress.com/article/india/ ... o-5004885/
The Foreign Office said in a statement that “Pakistan regrets the last minute postponement and non-issuance of visas by India” for the visit of 192 devotees to participate in the Urs ceremony (death anniversary) in New Delhi from January 1-8. “As a result of this Indian decision, the Pakistani Zaireen (devotees) would be deprived of the opportunity to participate in the Urs, which is of special significance,” the statement said. The visit was to take place under the provisions of the 1974 Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines and is an annual feature. “This is unfortunate and runs counter to the letter and spirit of the 1974 Protocol and objective of people-to-people contacts,” it saidThe statement said that besides being violative of the bilateral Protocol, and the basic human right to religious freedom, such measures also undermined the efforts aimed at improving the environment, increasing people-to-people contacts and normalising relations between the two countries. “It is ironic that this was done on the occasion of Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya who was a symbol of bringing communities closer to each other,” the FO added

I will not be surprised that in short medium term there will be Palestinian style intifasa uprising in Kashmir after inputs from Palestinian Authority.

I am deeply disappointed with Palestinian behaviour as they can't claim ignorance as name Hafiz Saeed would have jumped out in invitation list.

I think we need to move embassy to Jeruselum now. They have opened their cards and let known which side they are and it is our turn to play.

I am very surprised how Indian enemies are surviving well and good in a nation which is 300 miles wide. It seems that we don't have ground intelligence or capacity to operate surreptitiously in enemy nation.
the palestinians have always been like this. They (used) to draw strength from our so called powerful minority vote banks who were nurtured by congis and commies.

our "leaders" have always romanced these nut cases and others like fidel castro.

they, our leaders were content to "chato" their vote banks and get re elected.

times are changing.
Perfidious behaviour by PA. Agree to the point that short term politics could have resulted in this. Hopefully your last sentence conveys what fireworks holds for us in the future. World is getting ready for next big bust up and powders and guns are getting ready everywhere. We need to push them now to show their loyalty by asking them statement on Kashmir or else we shall choose our votes and friends carefully next time.

I remember a news-story from several years ago that NATO/ISAF was paying protection money for its convoys in Pakistan essentially to the Taliban (not Afghanistan - that protection money paid by NATO to the Taliban in Afghanistan is well known, and easily found).

If anyone easily has a link to that story (my googling efforts having been unsuccessful so far) I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

From DAWN, about the visit:
For lack of a clear agenda of the visit, the opposition interprets it as a step towards winning the NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) for the embattled Sharifs who are facing multiple cases in courts and challenges in the political field.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah of the Pakistan Peoples Party objected to the Sharifs’ Saudi visit, saying it was tantamount to humiliating a nuclear power by inviting foreigners to interfere in its internal affairs.

“It looks like the matter is towards [seeking] forgiveness and that an NRO may be on the horizon,” he said
in Lahore, adding: “If such a situation arises, I think we’ll have to shut our courts and go home.”

Mr Shah said he felt sorry to see that foreigners were being involved in local matters, adding that “if Saudi Arabia intervenes [for reconciliation between the Sharifs and the establishment] it will be shameful that Pakistan — a nuclear power — cannot make its own decisions”.

He saw a big difference between the NRO signed by the PPP with former military ruler Gen Pervez Musharraf and the one the N-League was trying to strike now.

In Islamabad, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan vowed to resist the Sharifs’ move for winning another NRO.

Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif rejected the opposition’s objections, arguing that the Sharifs had spent eight long years in exile in Saudi Arabia {as though it is a badge of honour! What a country!!} and enjoyed good relations with the royal family for decades.

“None, including Khursheed Shah, has the right to object to the Sharifs’ visit to the kingdom,” he said in a statement.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan also rejected the opposition’s claims about the NRO and said the Sharifs were visiting the kingdom for the sake of forging unity among the ummah on certain international matters and nothing was going to be discussed about Pakistan’s internal affairs there.

He said that since the former prime minister had developed a good reputation among the ummah after he took the bold decision of conducting nuclear tests in 1998, he was in a position to play a positive role in bringing together various Muslim states on certain issues.{Really so? Last time when Trump visited Al Yamamh Palace and heads of Muslim states converged there, Nawaz Sharif was not even allowed to speak, wasn't he?}

Capital suggestion - National interest

Reko Diq: In 1993, the government of Balochistan signed a contract with BHP, an Australian mining company. The mine holds 5.9 billion tons of copper and 41.5 million ounces of gold. The government of Balochistan signed away a 75 percent share to BHP and a paltry two percent royalty for the government.

Red alert : Pakistan may now face a penalty of $11.5 billion as the World Bank’s International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) has rejected Pakistan government’s application on “grounds of corruption and malpractices”. What did Pakistan get out of the $3 trillion project? Has the government of Balochistan been acting in Pakistan’s national interest?

Saindak Cooper & Gold: In 2002, Pakistan’s state-owned Saindak Metals Ltd. (SML) and Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC) signed a 10-year contract. The contract was to expire in 2012 but was extended till October 31, 2017. The contract has once again been extended for another five years on existing terms and conditions.

Red alert : Is it in Pakistan’s national interest when the federal government signs secret agreements with foreign companies? For the record, the government of Pakistan allowed the Chinese company a period of 15 years for “uninterrupted exploitation” of the $500 billion cooper and gold project. What did Pakistan get out of the project?Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power (Private) Limited: In 2014, the government of Punjab signed a contract with TBEA Xinjiang Co Ltd. to build a 100MW solar power station named in honour of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Red alert : On March 19, 2015, the National Electric and Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) approved a tariff of Rs18.0397/kWh. The capital cost of the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Project stands at around $1.5 million per MW. On February 10, 2017, Solenergi Power of Sweden bid an equivalent of Pakistani Rs5.19/ kWh for Rewa Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh (India) for a capital cost of $690,000 per MW.

Is it in the interest of 210 million Pakistanis when the government of Punjab signs a contract with a Chinese company to build a solar power project at a cost of $1.5 million per MW? Who is minding our national interest? India: On September 11, 2017, India’s Petronet renegotiated a 20-year contract with ExxonMobil winning a price cut in a “rare contract renegotiation……in a heavily oversupplied global market”.

On October 4, 2017, Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) stated that “after getting Qatar and Australia to lower gas price, India is seeking to renegotiate rate of LNG it has contracted from the US and Russia to reflect current market realities.” Our government signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China. How has it helped Pakistanis? Our government has signed FTAs with Malaysia and Indonesia – both have actually hurt Pakistanis. Red alert : Our government is now in negotiations with Turkey, Thailand, Singapore, Iran and Bangladesh.

Over the recent past, neither our federal government nor our provincial governments have signed an agreement with foreign countries or companies based in foreign lands that has benefited the citizens of Pakistan. Who is then minding our national interest?

Long-term agreements to buy expensive electricity and long-term agreements to buy expensive gas are costing Pakistani consumers at least $10 billion in additional input costs per year. Consequently, our export sector will never be competitive – unless we renegotiate.

What did the citizens of Pakistan get out of Reko Diq? We got nothing out of Saindak. Who can afford Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park’s electricity at a tariff of Rs18.0397/kWh? If India can renegotiate its long-term LNG contracts why can’t we? Terroristanis can't "RENEGOTIATE" as the "INCENTIVE" has already been paid as a PERCENTAGE of the "ORIGINAL HIGH PRICE" :rotfl:

According To This "Indian Express" Report Indian And Pakistani NSA's Are Still Talking Through Back Channels

India, Pak NSAs met in Bangkok a day after Christmas
A day after the mother and wife of retired Naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav met him in Islamabad in exceptional and controversial circumstances, the National Security Advisors (NSAs) of India and Pakistan met for talks in Bangkok. Sources told The Sunday Express that the December 26 meeting between Ajit Doval and his Pakistani counterpart Lt General Nasir Khan Janjua (retd) took place at a ‘neutral venue’ in the Thai capital. Bangkok, Thailand has become a "favourite venue" for such meets !
The venue and date of the meeting were not linked to Pakistan’s treatment of Jadhav’s wife and mother. It had been decided between the two sides earlier this month, and it was, as sources described it, a “pre-scheduled meeting”.Official Indian sources refused to comment on the subject. Janjua, the emissary of the Paki Army Establishment recently met Ganja and gave Nawaz his "marching orders" - to pack up and leave for Saudia
Besides the offices of the NSA, sources indicated that the top hierarchy of the foreign ministries of the two countries was also in the loop about the meeting. As Pakistan’s NSA is a retired Lt General, Rawalpindi-based General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Pakistan Army was also kept informed of Tuesday’s meeting between the two NSAs.On Thursday, Janjua met former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Sharif’s Jati Umra residence in Raiwind. As per Pakistan media reports, the meeting, which reportedly lasted five hours, included discussions on matters of national security, relations with Pakistan’s neighbouring countries and terrorism.
language used here "softens the blow" for Ganja
Dawn newspaper cited a PML-N leader quoting Sharif as saying at the meeting that “There is a dire need to improve ties with the neighbouring countries.” It also added that the former prime minister said he always talked about friendly relations with Pakistan’s neighbours because, without them, problems being faced by the people of the region could not be solved. “War is no solution to any problem,” he said. In spite of his "Islamic credentials", Ganja is suspected of being pro- India, which is a big no-no in Pakiland !
It was not the first meeting between the two NSAs in a third country. In December 2015, the two NSAs, along with the two foreign secretaries, had met, again in Bangkok, which was not revealed till after the meeting. That was followed, within days, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surprise stop-over in Lahore, to wish then-Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif on his birthday on December 25.
Meetings in third countries afford the two officials some space, away from the limelight, which the continual gaze of media on both sides of the border entails. It also gets around the tricky issue of the Pakistan NSA meeting leaders of Kashmir’s Hurriyat Conference, something which had led to cancellation of his visit to New Delhi in August 2015.
Tuesday’s meeting in Bangkok, which is believed to have lasted more than two hours, was kept under wraps, but it is believed that the Indian NSA raised the issue of infiltration of militants into Kashmir from across the Line of Control (LoC) with active support from the Pakistan army. The LoC has been very active this year, with more than 820 ceasefire violations recorded so far. This has included use of indirect firing weapons and cross-LoC raids by Border Action Teams. The Indian Army has lost 31 soldiers on the LoC in 2017. The Pakistani NSA is being directed and controlled by the Paki Fauj, which may or may not keep the civilian administration in the decision making loop, as the foreign issues are India are 100% military governed. In India, the NSA is not responsible to the military but to the civilian PM. The major difference :D
Pakistan’s handling of terrorists, with 26/11 terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed being freed from police custody and attempting to join mainstream politics, and Lashkar-e-Taiba operations commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi remaining out on bail, is also assumed to have figured in the conversation.Janjua is believed to have raised the issue of unrest in Kashmir, besides alleged targeting of civilians in villages along the LoC in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) This kind of discussion might serve a forum for frank talks . Probably, nothing much came out of it !

Day Of Reckoning For Ganja. Mai - Baap Saudia Not Pakis To "Decide His Fate" !

Nawaz Sharif could go into exile under Saudi Arabia deal: report
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The ex-premier Nawaz Sharif might actually go into exile and avoid all his corruption cases against him, Wajahat Khan wrote in his article in The Times. It was argued that Nawaz Sharif is about to visit Saudi Arabia and the kingdom is likely to intervene in the stand-off between the head of ruling PML-N and establishment. The article quoted sources and claimed that the ex-PM only requires permission to leave the country and quit politics in order to survive the corruption references against him in the National Accountability Bureau.
“The Saudis are indicating that they await a final sign-off from the Pakistani military,” the report reads. Ever since the Zia era, Saudi Arabia has been deciding the fate of the Paki Nation :D
The PML-N president will depart for Saudi Arabia today on a high-profile visit. Nawaz Sharif is expected to meet Turkish premier and Saudi Arabia’s top brass. Sources are terming Sharif’s visit of high significance against the backdrop of ongoing regional happenings.
While Nawaz Sharif is about to leave for Saudi Arabia, his brother and Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif is already there on a visit. He went on a Saudi plane sent to fetch him from Pakistan. Of course, the other significant "Paki actor" in Saudia is none other than Ganja' fellow La-Whori and one time nemesis, Raheel, ( the bad ) Sharif
Earlier on Thursday, National Security Adviser retired Lt Gen Nasser Khan Janjua met former premier Nawaz Sharif at Mr Sharif’s Jati Umra residence in Raiwind, which reportedly lasted five hours, discussed matters of national security, relations with neighbouring countries and terrorism. And also gave him his "marching orders"

For lack of a clear agenda of the visit, the opposition interprets it as a step towards winning the NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) for the embattled Sharifs who are facing multiple cases in courts and challenges in the political field.
Why do I think that this could be related to N-bum readiness in event of war with Iran!! Sharif's will rule pukes whereas aaka will get the bum and military support in event of war.

Falijee, the social media is abuzz mocking ModiJi for this meeting of NSAs.

But on a serious note, while ModiJi is empowered to do what is in the best interests of India, and those like me who support him have faith that he won't sell India down the Jhelum with "4-point formula" and "joint sovereignty" and such, but nevertheless for perception purposes at least, this meeting doesn't look good, coming close to the heels of TSP humiyliating Jadhav's kith & kin, suicide attack on CRPF camp etc. I mean what is there to discuss with TSP? On the fact of it, India will say stop terror, TSP will say gimme Kashmir, and how many times this circus has gone on? So what was Doval discussing?

The traitors who could care two hoots about bringing TSP to book in the first place and who compete with each other to do Shastaanga Namaskaram to Hafeez Saeed's bosses like Kasuri, are drawing an equivalence between Doval meeting with TSP NSA and Mani Shankar Suar & Co's love fest with Hafeez pig's boss.

Avalanche Claims Lives Of Paki Soldiers

Five Pak army men go missing after being hit by avalanche
SAKARDU – At least five Jawans of Pakistan Army went missing after having been hit by an avalanche in Siachen Sector. Rescue operation is underway for their search by locals and contingents of army as well; however, no information about martyrdom or their being injured has been received as yet, reports local media on Satursday. Avalanches and landslides are common at the Siachen Glacier during the winter and temperatures there can drop as low as minus 60 degrees Celsius. An estimated 8,000 troops have died on the glacier since 1984, almost all of them from avalanches, landslides, frostbite, altitude sickness or heart failure rather than combat. At least 135 people, including 124 servicemen and 11 civilians, went missing in 2012 after an avalanche hit them at Gayari sector near Siachen Glacier. Now that India has got the upper hand in Siachen - in terms of control of higher heights - Pakistan is "keen" on a "settlement" :D

Pakistan risks losing EU economic concession. DT
BRUSSELS: European Union might review its economic concessions given to Pakistan over the deteriorating human rights situation, including the wave of abductions of activists reportedly by the security agencies and discriminatory laws against minorities.European Union has warned Pakistan that there can be no place for enforced disappearances and secret detention in the country and government would have to criminalise the practice while also amending the discriminatory laws against minorities under the international law and commitments.
Global human rights organizations including Amnesty International had protested against the abduction of peace activist Raza Khan, demanding state authorities to produce the abducted activists from across the country.
The rights organizations have also expressed concerns over Pakistani authorities issuing notices to at least 13 International Non Government Organisations (INGOs) to stop their relief work inside the country. EU determines that in 2017 alone, the INGO sector as a whole reached 34 million people in Pakistan with humanitarian relief and development assistance. “The action taken by the Government of Pakistan, if not reversed, would shrink the space of civil society in the country, to the detriment of the whole population. We therefore expect the Government of Pakistan to swiftly review this situation,” the spokesperson added. Any Saudi Arabia "help" Pakistan in resolving this matter, as it intervened in "saving" Ganja Sharif once again from the gallows
Pakistan is given special economic relief by the EU under their Generalised Scheme of Preference Plus (GSP+) programme with the promise of improving democracy and good governance in the country. A slight decrease in custom duties on bed sheets, towels, and other textile products , which is the mainstay of Paki exports !
In an exclusive talk to Daily Times over the recent wave of apparent forced disappearances including of the peace activist Raza Khan from Lahore on December 2, 2017, EU spokesperson stated on Tuesday that The Commission, together with the European External Action Service (EEAS), is continuously monitoring Pakistan’s effective implementation of the core international human rights conventions. Does Pakistan "care" about its image
The EU also wants Pakistan that in this respect, the authority and the capacity – both financial and in terms of personnel – of the Commission of Inquiry on Forced Disappearances must be strengthened by the Pakistani authorities so that the Commission can function effectively.“We are aware that 13 INGOs have received letters from the Pakistani authorities rejecting their registration requests. These letters provide no explanation as to why their requests for registration have been rejected. There is also a discrepancy between the time frames to close operations (60 days) and to appeal (90 days)” the spokesperson asserted. There is a civil war like situation brewing in FATA and Balochistan province , coupled with the disappearance of persons, clamping down on social media and other punitive measures !
The spokesperson added that the EU is, through its Delegation in Islamabad, in touch both with the INGOs affected and with the Pakistani authorities to ascertain further information and explanations.

Pro Military Journo Feeds Fake News To Times Of London, UK About Fate Of Ganja Sharif According To This Report !

Fake news industry
Yesterday a Pakistani journalist known to be close to the military gave a news story to The Times of UK with the opening lines, ‘Pakistan’s former prime minister would escape a corruption trial and be allowed to live in exile under a potential deal being brokered by Saudi Arabia.’ The story further stated, ‘Mr Sharif, who requires permission to leave Pakistan, is ready to quit active politics, without facing prosecution, according to a source.’ The "Super Patriot Journo", (who has done a few military angled stories ) referred here is Wahajat Khan of Dunya News !
There is no mention of what sort of source has offered such illogical information to the journalist. The corruption trial is underway already and already in hot water as there is a dire lack of evidence of corruption. The Hudaibiya case ordered to be reopened illegally by the National Accountability Bureau by one bench of the Supreme Court (in its remarks only), has been thrown out by another bench of the same Supreme Court. NAB plans to file a review petition and two mainstream parties want to become party to the review petition, but there is little chance they will win the review if they file it. The bench that threw out NAB’s appeal gave two solid legal reasons: time bar and no new evidence, reiterating that material from the Joint Investigating Team consisted of accusations and unverified/ photocopy documents, not new evidence. The references being heard against Nawaz Sharif, too, are fundamentally related to the Hudaibiya case, which is now a past and closed case, having been thrown out of courts time and again. There is no question that Ganja Sharif is "super corrupt", but then so are the jernails and the others who are accusing him !
However, the language and gist of the story in The Times is hilarious for other reasons as well. That Nawaz Sharif will be ‘allowed’ to live in exile is laughable because that is what the establishment has literally been begging him to do in return for not pursuing trumped up charges against him. Indeed, the establishment wants him and his family out of the politics of Pakistan and would give its right arm to get him to agree to go into exile. But going by everything the former prime minister, his daughter and his close circle have said, it is apparent that he is in no mood to do the establishment’s bidding – he appears to have decided to take his chances and fight this out. Indeed, he has made his calculations and if they are anything close to mine, he would fight. The man was elected to the highest office thrice, and thrice he was thrown out – now he is out to expose the hidden hands behind the conspiracies that ultimately harm citizens of Pakistan more than their elected rulers. He is ready to "expose the hidden hands" , provided no one touches his "ill gotten wealth"
The journalist made the former premier’s trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the peg of the story without considering some very important developments of the past five months since Sharif’s disqualification to be member of parliament: Sharif has been wildly successful in continuing to expose the injustice and the vengeance with which Pakistanis’ elected prime minister has been persecuted. He has unveiled the unbridled hatred for the man whose government literally brought light back to the country, brought mega Chinese investment into the country, increased its sovereign debt rating, increased the rating of the country’s main stock exchange, provided energy to the manufacturing sector and more. The people have not taken kindly to this black joke perpetrated on them yet again. And in the process, he and his family played the "commission game" as well
Perhaps taking advantage of The Time’s lack of knowledge of Pakistani laws and procedures, the journalist further stated, ‘Mr Sharif, who requires permission to leave Pakistan, is ready to quit politics.’ This was the most absurd claim. Mr Sharif has travelled in and out of Pakistan at least ten times since his ouster without any ‘permissions’ – as he has not been convicted of any crime. Besides, if any citizen is to be placed on the exit control list (ECL), there is a procedure that has to be followed by the interior ministry based on a legal footing. Not only does any legal reason not exist to bar him from leaving, but it is his own government at the center running the interior ministry, which will not take any such step without basis against its own party leader. Today’s Pakistan is not General Pervaiz Musharraf’s jungle where such things can be achieved easily. Where there are unprincipled persons in high offices, there are principled persons too: take the case of the Hudaiybiya appeal being thrown out by a second bench of the Supreme Court. Ganja still has his supporters in the Paki Establishment and the military has to be careful not to "rouse the awaam against them !
Nawaz Sharif understands that a direct coup is out of the question. The 18th amendment and General Pervaiz Musharraf’s predicament today rule it out. The only options left are to imprison him via false cases. But his movement of exposing those who have ousted him unfairly have made that very difficult, as the people are with him. Perhaps the masterminds of this joke with Pakistan now realise that the judiciary and the military are being criticized at every barbar’s and every cholay-wala’s, and that too in Punjab; social media, which has 45 million users in Pakistan, is openly derisive about the recent doings of the two institutions, and openly contemptuous of the treatment being meted out to their elected representatives. Ganja is aided and abetted by his "talented daughter" !
The meet in Saudi Arabia may be yet another attempt by the establishment to persuade Nawaz Sharif to quit politics. But my bet is that that will not happen and analysts predicting the opposite will eat humble pie yet again, just like the last ten times they predicted that Sharif had accepted a ‘deal’ and had ‘run away’ and would not be returning to the country. I would argue that Sharif is at his strongest politically, and will leverage that strength to fight back – it makes no sense to make compromises from a position of strength. Were he not so strong, he would not be the target of every political party that cannot hope to gain a respectable number of seats in parliament in the general election next year; were he not so powerful, innumerable attempts would not have been made to somehow scare him into quitting politics. Everyone knows his popularity has soared, and anyone daring to imprison him on false charges will have to reckon with the wrath of the people. Hence the psyops and attempts to induce disappointment and despair with fake news of Sharif doing a runner.

"Chinese Muslim" At Isloo Embassy Spells Out Details Of Chini-fication Of Pakiland Under CPEC

Lijian Zhao‏Verified account @zlj517

Long Term Plan: Real game of CPEC is to prepare the economy, society & culture of Pakistan for a massive influx of Chinese investments & personnel. This could indeed prove to be a positive development.
And then he teeters this as his "evidence" !

Long Term Plan: The Core of CPEC
December 11, 2017 Saadat Hassan Bilal
The LTP is the most detailed long-term plan that has ever been proposed for Pakistan, and its ramifications for the economy are deep and broad. Contrary to the image of CPEC as an enterprise involving roads and power plants, the LTP shows that the real nature of the engagement with China that is about to begin goes far beyond infrastructure investments and enhanced connectivity. The real game of CPEC appears to be to prepare the economy, society and culture of Pakistan for a massive influx of Chinese investments and personnel. This could indeed prove to be a positive development, and provide the economy with a boost given the scale of the investments being contemplated. The Paki author is preparing the Paki public that they are going to lose their famous sover-virginity , if they are not "careful"
For instance, thousands of acres of agricultural land will be leased out to Chinese enterprises to set up “demonstration projects” in areas ranging from seed varieties to irrigation technology. A full system of monitoring and surveillance will be built in cities from Peshawar to Karachi, with 24 hour video recordings on roads and busy marketplaces for law and order. A national fibreoptic backbone will be built for the country not only for internet traffic, but also terrestrial distribution of broadcast TV, which will cooperate with Chinese media in the “dissemination of Chinese culture”. The dreaded Chinification that even the Mullah Brigade has warned the Paki Establishment about -
The plan envisages a deep and broad-based penetration of most sectors of Pakistan’s economy as well as its society by Chinese enterprises and culture. Its scope has no precedent in Pakistan’s history in terms of how far it opens up the domestic economy to participation by foreign enterprises. In some areas the plan seeks to build on a market presence already established by Chinese enterprises, eg Haier in household appliances, ChinaMobile and Huawei in telecommunications and China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) in mining and minerals. In other cases, such as textiles and garments, cement and building materials, fertiliser and agricultural technologies (among others) it calls for building the infrastructure and a supporting policy environment to facilitate fresh entry. A key element in this is the creation of industrial parks, or special economic zones, which “must meet specified conditions, including availability of water…perfect infrastructure, sufficient supply of energy and the capacity of self service power”, according to the plan. The local owned Paki industry is going to be decimated , if Paki traders and Paki industrialists are to be believed !
Contrary to popular belief, there are no existing demands from Chinese to ‘give out thousands of acres of land’. Instead China wants to adopt a cautious approach in certain areas. That is the reason, why even the initial draft long-term plan mostly talked about ‘demonstration’ projects’ especially in areas of improved technological cooperation. Any future interest of China in agriculture would be contingent upon how Pakistani side responds these demonstration projects. The cautious Chinese have to be careful of the cultural aspects of their vast presence in Pakiland
Financial cooperation forms an important part of CPEC. Free and unrestricted flow of capital provides an important pre-requisite for attracting foreign direct investment. The proposed initiatives stress on reducing the reliance of both countries on dollars or euros, for bilateral trade as well as to create access for infrastructure projects in Pakistan to newly created institutions for Belt and Road like Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank. Yuan to be "adopted" , Dollar to be "dropped"

No chances of Imran Khan becoming PM, astrologers' predictions for 2018

Astrologers and palmists have predicted that there is no possibility of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan becoming the prime minister in 2018. They also see some political forces launching a campaign for “accountability before elections” before the next general polls.

They believe that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa leading the armed forces bodes well for the country’s future. Also, they see corrupt individuals, who have managed to escape accountability so far, facing the courts in the new year.

Speaking at the Express Forum, astrologer Syed Intizar Hussain Shah Zanjani predicted that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif would continue playing his role as a leader. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief is also likely to write an autobiography wherein he will pen down his successes and mistakes.

Palmist Yaseen Wattoo said Pakistan would take a firm stand against the US in terms of the former’s sovereignty. He further predicted that the elections general elections would take place as scheduled in 2018. However, he added, Nawaz Sharif had no chances of individually coming into a position of power. The palmist also noted that possibility of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif becoming the next prime minister could not be ruled out. He said though there were no chances of Imran Khan becoming the prime minister, his popularity would remain intact.

Astrologer Sadia Arshad predicted that the prices of essential commodities would increase in the first six months of 2018.

She said a contest between Imran Khan and Shehbaz Sharif would be close one. However, she added, even if Imran did not become the prime minister, he would remain popular among the masses.

Astrologer Syed Mussawar Zanjani said 2018 would be a year of progress for Pakistan.

So it true. Facebook collaborates with radical islamist nations and shares user data. Hey, pak lurks, you are it, next!

600pc hike in Facebook content restriction for Pakistan
Amidst a crackdown against online blasphemy, the government has tightened its control over Facebook usage this year with 600 percent hike in successful requests for content restrictions, official data released by the social media giant confirms.
Facebook is increasingly cooperating with the Pakistan government by censoring blasphemous content and providing authorities in Islamabad access to user account data and other information.
the increase in Facebook censorship for Pakistani users is a result of extensive negotiation between the government and the social media company in 2017.
Also there was about 50 percent hike in Pakistani government’s request for data of Facebook users and a 68 percent hike in request for preservation of user data for a few months.
data of 1,540 Pakistani users was requested by the government and Facebook complied with requests most of the times (63 percent requests were accepted)
E
arlier this year, Pakistan sought cooperation from Facebook against blasphemous content and a delegation of the company led by Vice President of Global Public Policy Joel Kaplan visited the country in July to discuss the issue with the then interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
When contacted, a senior PTA official said the increased Pakistani control over Facebook is mainly to control blasphemous content but in some cases content against national integrity is also restricted.
