526 Pakistanis await Indian citizenship - Vijaita Singh, The Hindu

We should be careful here. Persecuted minorities are all right as per the Citizenship Act that applies to Pakistanis. Others must be summarily rejected.

Six Pakistani seamen stranded at Egyptian port
Six Pakistani seamen have been stranded at the Egyptian port of Safaga for six months, it emerged on Sunday.
Speaking to Geo News, seaman Zia said that they were forced to live in awful conditions and had not been paid for two months, as the owner of the ship and Egyptian Navy had a conflict over payments.
The Pakistan embassy is also not paying heed to their plight

$6bn bailout package is a big breather - Khaleeq Kiani

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has pledged to meet half of the $12 billion financing gap that Pakistan faces for the current fiscal year. Coming again to Islamabad’s rescue — third in two decades — Riyadh promised to place a $3bn deposit with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and provide up to $3bn worth of oil supplies on credit — both for a year.

That is a big breather. Coupled with even half of such support from China, it will significantly reduce Pakistan’s external account gap and help restore market confidence. International lending partners are coming on board with foreign exchange reserves rebuilding to a respectable level, which will qualify the country for programme loans. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s first visit to China comes later this week.

Finance Minister Asad Umar expects that Mr Khan’s visit to Beijing will clear things as to how much support is required from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for which talks are scheduled to begin on Nov 7. This apparently revives the original plan of a minimal balance-of-payments support from the Fund — around $3-4bn instead of the earlier contemplation of a double-digit bailout package.

The falling gap tempted Prime Minister Khan to boast last week that the country might not need an IMF programme.

The finance minister, however, believes that more than the amount of the loan, the IMF engagement is important to access the international capital market for bonds, enable flows from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, World Bank and Asian Development Bank and encourage foreign direct investment.

Saudi Arabia had also provided financial support to Pakistan soon after the latter conducted nuclear tests in May 1998, suffered an economic meltdown and faced US-led international economic sanctions. Starting with oil supplies worth $1bn on deferred payments, Pakistan received $3.5bn support between 1998 and 2002.

A major part of the deferred oil facility was converted into a grant but then discontinued when the leadership at the time volunteered its soft terms to the IMF to the Kingdom’s displeasure.

Another “$1.5bn gift” from Riyadh was deposited to the so-called Pakistan Development Fund in 2014 when the PML-N government was struggling to overcome yet another economic crisis. The funds were subsequently shown as the government of Pakistan’s equity in two major LNG-based power projects in Punjab.

Political and parliamentary noise over the possible engagement of Pakistani troops in the Middle East military crisis practically torpedoed an under-discussion package of around $12bn involving about 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day and about 15,000 tonnes of furnace oil per day for three years. The breathing space then was planned for a heavy spending on technology for reducing power-sector losses, which remained a pipedream.

This time, the government expects $3bn in SBP accounts within two weeks as a ‘safe deposit’ repayable in a year with a negligible return. The oil facility worth up to $3bn will become payable after 12 months. This facility will be available for three years and will be reviewed thereafter. Expectations are again similar as Riyadh faces pressure on the borders and international criticism. Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are trying together to achieve a shift in strategic alignments, seemingly away from US good books.

Vision 2030 of the Saudi government has plans for back-and-forth infrastructure links that it calls interconnection of three continents. A proposed refinery at Gwadar for which a formal memorandum of understanding is expected shortly besides an oil storage facility of two to three million tonnes is part of its plan to secure its export supplies. Pakistan has already promised a 16 per cent return on investment in the oil refinery for which a refining policy was approved in the last few days of the PML-N government.

Saudi Arabia has around 8-10 million barrels per dayof oil exports and a storage facility outside the strategic Strait of Hormuz will help secure supplies to the eastern clientele because Russia may have better prospects to grab western markets amidst any adverse conditions in the Middle East.

Linking Gwadar with Oman through an under-the-sea tunnel or bridge could be a major future project involving billions of dollars given Riyadh’s desire to diversify trade routes, including for oil supplies, because of its tension with Qatar and Iran. It has been considering two options — a bridge or tunnel of about 40km to link Gwadar with Muscat and Oman at the mouth of the Strait of Hormuz and connecting its industrial city of Jazan with Eritrea’s Massawa region through a 440km-long tunnel across the Red Sea. The land route between Muscat and Jazan port is around 2,200km long at present.

Pakistan has been seeking a long-term arrangement for oil supplies on delayed payments as one of the most crucial avenues for balance-of-payments support. Out of its total crude oil imports of about 350,000 barrels per day, Pakistan normally imports about 110,000 barrels per day from Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan’s oil import bill amounted to $14.5bn in 2017-18. It can go up to $18bn this year with higher prices and increased consumption.

Finance Minister Umar, however, disagrees with the perception that Saudis made any sort of demands. But he left a hint between the lines, saying “It is a people-to-people connection. They will stand by Pakistan’s side during our time of need and they know we stand by them when they need [us].” The fact remains that the bilateral connection has always been between the civil and military leaderships of the two countries.

Every Pakistani Now Has A Voice: PM Khan Inaugurates Complaint Portal For Citizens
Insight Trending
Qanit Riaz
Oct 29, 2018
Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Pakistan Citizens' Portal, a set up at the Prime Minister Office with an intend to "opportune location the issues of the general population and get their criticism", ( another buzz word to add to the dictionary ! ) on Sunday.
The system will enable the government to keep track of what's happening in various ministries and departments, and how they are performing, and subsequent "policies will reflect what the public wants".
So, it is going to be different from the Saudi Model , where the Monarch "personally receives" the fardyardi and the complainant is "forced" to kiss the hand - hopefully not dirty - proffered
Khan recalled a visit to Turkey while Recep Tayyip Erdogan was prime minister. "He told me that he had a complaint cell in his office for investors, which led to a change in his office."
So, he has opted for the Turkish Model as opposed to the Saudi Method !
At the point when asked how the protest portal is unique in relation to grumbling cells set up in past governments, PM Khan stated: "This kind of framework does not exist in Pakistan ─ and even in numerous European nations. It can take a gigantic load, it is associated. This is e-administration that was never there in Pakistan."
Does "sexting" also "comes under " some sort of E- Administration . Just wondering
"The governance system will push all departments. As PM, I had no way of knowing how efficient various departments are. If they colluded (with each other), I wouldn't get feedback. The citizens will hold the government accountable, and such feedback has never been given to any PM in Pakistan before." :((

"New And Unique" Charge Leveled On The Newly Widowed Ganja

Nawaz accused of money laundering through livestock gifts

The Express Tribune
Oct 29, 2018
ISLAMABAD:
An application filed with the apex court has accused former prime minister Nawaz Sharif of laundering billions of rupees through livestock gifts sent to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. A livestock businessman, Syed Fazli Qayum, requested the court to implead him as a party in the case of Rs35 billion fake bank accounts scam wherein former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur are also named.
“Two to three thousand live animals are exported as a gift on a single NOC. These animals are … sold in the commercial markets of the Gulf states. In these gifts, black money is paid for buying these live animals and when these animals are exported and commercially sold in the UAE and Gulf states, laundered money is paid in offshore accounts,” the application states.
Accusation needs to be investigated. Cannot be taken as being true on verbal say so !
The application filed by Advocate Khwaja Azhar Rasheed on behalf of the businessman stated that the gifts were used to launder the money and this caused a total loss to the tune of Rs6.102 billion to the exchequer.“The applicant is concerned about Pakistani money laundered through export of live animals in the garb of gift schemes, to the Gulf states and Saudi Arabia, whereas a strict ban has been imposed by the government on the export of live animals in any form since the year 2013,” it said.
In Pakistan, laws are made, not to be followed !
The export of live animals in any form was banned under the Export Policy Orders of 2013 and 2016, because of shortage of animals in the local market, it added.
Not sure if India is still exporting live animals ( goat , sheep ) to Pakistan to feed the Paki appetite for gosht !
Citing an example, the applicant claimed that 2,500 cattle head worth $2.5 million were sent from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia to a member of royal family in September last year.
It further claimed that around 1,100 camels worth $3.3 million were sent to the UAE and Kuwait on different dates. More than 5,000 goats and sheep valued at around $1.1 million were sent to the UAE and Kuwait, while at least 700 cows and bulls and 50 buffaloes worth $820,00 were sent for the royal family of UAE.
But now the Royals of Saudia and UAE have reciprocated this "kind" gesture by coming to the rescue of nanga bhooka Pakiland in this time of need . So, it evens out
“Despite being a banned item, the livestock was exported by the previous government as a gift parcel for money laundering,” the applicant said, adding that there was no head in the budget for such gifts. He contended that the gifts had deprived Pakistan of livestock, precious foreign exchange, customs duties and taxes. “Huge amount of ill-gotten wealth is laundered under these gift schemes every year.”
Imran has just set up a Citizen Portal under the auspices of E Administration . This is the right time to file a Compliant !
The applicant requested the top court to declare the gift schemes of live animals as void for being against the law and in contravention of the Export Policy Orders 2013 and 2016.He requested directives for the production of all record concerning export of live animals in the garb of gift schemes.

Inflation Rears Its Ugly Head In Pakistan

Inflation bites swell up and itch
Dawn
Oct 22, 2018
Mosquito bites swell up and itch. So do inflation bites. But when the political environment is charged, some describe this swelling and itching with exaggeration while others pretend as if there is no swelling or itching at all. The recently introduced cream of "E Administration" by Imran Khan, this last week, will hopefully cure the itching
Let the facts speak for themselves. In September 2017, annualised inflation measured by the Wholesale Price Index or WPI stood at 1.6 per cent: the number shot up to 9.2pc in September 2018. And before that, in July and August, the number was even higher — 10.5pc and 11pc, respectively. So it just moderated somewhat in September.
In all likelihood, October data will not show much respite as the recent increase in gas prices may have a considerable impact on wholesale or ex-factory prices of locally produced items of agricultural, industrial and commercial use.
A sharper increase in the WPI often pushes up the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures overall inflation, and the Sensitive Price Index, which reflects inflation for the poor. Periodic deviations from this rule of thumb are possible and have even been recorded. But a sustained hike in the WPI for a considerable period — say, a full fiscal year — does not spare the CPI and SPI movement. Both are affected accordingly.
CPI inflation showed an average year-on-year increase of 5.12pc. In addition to the above-mentioned foodstuff, many more items in the CPI basket, including milk, meat and fish and pulses, depicted a rising trend.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recently imposed 5-90pc regulatory duties on 570 categories of imported items to keep the trade deficit in check. Similar moves made in the past yielded some results in the first quarter of this fiscal year. But one can imagine how regulatory duties on such a vast range of imported items will impact the overall price levels.
Many of the items on which regulatory duties have been imposed are those that are not covered in our CPI. As such, their higher prices will not necessarily reflect in CPI inflation. But then the basket of goods and services for computing inflation is not very representative and needs restructuring.
The ongoing tight monetary policy can be expected to eventually bring down these numbers. But unless the root causes of inflation, like fiscal and external account imbalances, are addressed and unless the rupee makes a big recovery, keeping inflation in check is just too difficult. Much depends on global fuel oil prices that have been on the rise for the past one year. Brent crude weighted average price rose 39.1pc between Oct 19, 2017 and Oct 18 this year, according to daily oil market reports.
As Columnist Cyril Almeida of DAWN, mentioned in his latest opinion piece that Imran Khan's broken record of blaming Nawaz and Zardari for massive corruption is not going to help him . Unless he brings down inflation and improve the economy , his dream of Naya Pakistan will remain a dream !

Pakis Go "After" Altaf Bhai . Again !

Pakistan seeks Altaf Hussain’s custody in Imran Farooq murder case
Oct 29, 2018
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has decided to formally ask United Kingdom (UK) to hand over Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain to authorities in Pakistan.
The interior ministry would approach the Interpol for issuing red warrants of Altaf Hussain, who is wanted in the Imran Farooq murder case, local media reported.FIA will write a letter to the Interpol for the red warrants of MQM founder and an approval has been given in this regard. The Ministry of Interior has sent a request for the MQM founder’s custody to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will forward the request to UK authorities.Along with the request, the Ministry of Interior has also submitted the challan in the Imran Farooq murder case, the joint investigation team’s report and related documents.Imran Farooq, 50, was stabbed to death outside his house in London on September 16, 2010.
This has been tried before. Altaf is a British Citizen. He may or may not be involved in the murder case . The Pakis are finding it hard to pin this on Altaf Bhai. The burden of proof in Bartania is much higher than Sharia justice in Pakiland !
A case pertaining to Farooq’s murder has been registered in the Federal Investigation Agency’s counter-terrorism wing.
Most likely Paki detectives and law enforcement agencies are incompetent and sloppy in their evidence gathering, while Altaf has top notch legal help !

A Bank Established In The Name Of Islam Is Taken For A Ride In The Islamic Republic Of Pakistan

Bank Islami’s $6 million stolen in Pakistan’s biggest security breach
Oct 29, 2018
ISLAMABAD – A staggering $6 million were reportedly stolen from the accounts of Pakistan’s Bank Islami, in what appears to be the biggest security breach in the history of the country.
he breach was reported to the State bank of Pakistan late Saturday following which it issued a press release stating that the said bank has temporarily restricted usage of its cards for overseas transactions.
Though the central bank did not name the affected bank, however, Bank Islami, itself revealed that it was doing measures to confront the situation.
In its communique, the central bank stated that directives have been issued to all banks in Pakistan to ensure Security measures on all IT systems including those related to card operations.
The alleged security breach first came to light on Saturday when customers of the bank received automated messages about their payment cards being used in different countries including Russia.
Paki fraudsters active in Russia ! Is Dus Percent Zardari involved in this scam
The bank, however, did not acknowledge the breach to the tune of USD 6 million, saying it was actually logged off from international payment scheme at the time.
Alhamdulillah, ( is this Islami phrase enough to assure customers ) BankIslami team immediately took precautionary steps which included shutting its International Payment Scheme, stated the institution, however, confirmed that all transactions routing through international payment scheme (Local and International POS, ATM and eCommerce) have been stopped.

Pakistan's banking system witnesses another cyber attack - Salman Siddiqui

KARACHI: The country’s banking system was once again the target of a cyber-attack.

Banks’ ATM cardholders and online users, particularly those maintaining accounts at Bank Islami, need to become extra cautious while doing financial transactions. According to industry sources, ABL and JS Bank have also restricted ATM overseas transaction.

In its immediate response to the security breach, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) temporarily “restricted usage of its cards for “overseas transactions (only),” the central bank said in a statement late on Sunday night.

The account and card holders may, however, conduct such transactions within Pakistan, a central bank official cautiously told The Express Tribune.

Gang involved in robbing people at ATMs arrested in Karachi

“As a result of security breach of payment cards of one of the banks in Pakistan yesterday and their unauthorized use on different delivery channels ie at ATMs and POS (point of sale) in different countries, the bank has temporarily restricted usage of its cards for overseas transactions,” stated the central bank.

SBP has instructed the bank to take all necessary measures to trace the vulnerability and fix it immediately. “The affected bank has also been instructed to issue advisory on precautionary measures to be taken by customers,” the press release added.

Furthermore, the central bank has also issued directives to all banks to foster arrangements to ensure security of all payment cards in the country and monitor on real-time basis usage activity of their cards, especially overseas transactions. “SBP will continue to assess these developments in coordination with banks and take further measures if required.”

The following directives have been issued to all banks in Pakistan to ensure that; security measures on all IT systems including those related to card operations are continuously updated to meet any challenges in future, resources are deployed to ensure the 24/7 real time monitoring of card operations related systems and transactions, and immediately coordinate with all the payment schemes, switch operators and media service providers the banks are integrated with to identify any malicious activity of suspicious transactions.

“In case of any unusual incidents, banks are advised to immediately report to SBP,” the statement read.

In a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), BankIslami stated that it detected certain abnormal transactions valuing Rs2.6 million on one of its international payment card schemes on the morning of October 27, 2018.

“All monies withdrawn from the accounts i.e Rs2.6 million have been credited in the respective accounts of valued customers,” said BankIslami’s Unit Head Corporate Affairs Muhammad Shoaib.

“Transactions of approximately $6 million as claimed by international payment scheme are not acknowledged by the bank as the bank was actually logged off from the international payment scheme at that time.”

The notice stated that all cash withdrawal transactions using the bank’s biometric service were restored on the same day i.e. Saturday.

Shoaib, however, added that international payment schemes will be restored after mitigating all the risks.

Beware – hackers are going after ATMs in Pakistan

The latest attack is the third major cyber security breach in the country and second within the banking sector in less than 10 months.

Earlier, Habib Bank Limited and Careem, the ride-hailing app, have faced such security risks. Following which an online expert advised the account and ATM card holders to change their password as soon as possible to prevent online financial frauds.

Industry officials, who are either directly involved in disaster management and damage control measures following the cyber security attack or just monitoring the happening, avoided giving any initial estimate of financial loss to the ATM cardholders and/or the bank faced the attack.

In any case, the bank deposits remain insured. Therefore, the bank and its account holders both would remain unhurt but may have to show-off the record of the fraud to recover the lost money.

European Union Election Mission Gives "Fail Marks" To Pakistan In The Recent Election Exercise

EU Mission raises serious questions on 2018 polls’ counting process
The News International
Oct 29, 2018
Islamabad : The European Union Election Observation Mission (EUEOM) in its final report has raised serious question on the process of counting, transmission and tabulation of Pakistan’s general elections 2018 results.
The EUEOM which has unveiled its final report on Pakistan’s general elections 2018 the other day, has raised some serious questions on the transparency of the polls and ECP’s performance. “The whole process lacked transparency leaving room for allegations of electoral malpractices”, observes the Mission in its report.
As per the report, the EUEOM encountered significant challenges and difficulties before and during its deployment to Pakistan for the 25 July elections.
...problems that in 2018 substantially affected EUEOM standard modus operandi. Worthy to note that the report only covers shenanigans in the counting process .It is NOT concerned with pre election "fixing" which prevented Ganja candidates from entering the race, or post -election horse trading, where PML-N and PPP elected MNA's switched sides to PTI party
The Mission also observed that the ECP did not provide observers and journalists unimpeded access to critical stages of the pre and post-election day period, including recounts. The report also observed that the civil society organisations particularly TDEA/Fafen observation in 2018 was less visible in the field than in 2013.
The official post-election narrative had already been defined on election day, when all news channels muted the statement of the PML-N leader, Shahbaz Sharif, in contrast to the live coverage of Imran Khan marking his ballot and addressing the public.
The most popular, liberal-leaning TV channels, Geo News and AaJ TV, were reportedly coerced to instruct anchors to divert election night debate away from irregularities and to not to challenge the military’s role”, says the report.
Pretense of a "fair" election ! Where the fauj had already decided to put their favourite candidate/ party on the governing Throne

I'm the Dim guilty of ENCHROACHMENT in his "Bani Gala" Property!

PM should pay regularisation fee today, says CJP in Bani Gala encroachment case - Hasnaat Mailk

ISLAMABAD : Chief Justice Saqib Nisar on Monday said Prime Minister Imran Khan must pay the fee to regularise his Bani Gala residence today after refusing to grant any more extensions in the illegal encroachment case.

The additional attorney general requested the court for an extension till Thursday in the Bani Gala encroachment case as the court had formed a committee during the previous hearing. Justice Nisar said, “no further extensions would be granted, and that Prime Minister Imran Khan should pay the fees today”.

PM Imran to regularise Bani Gala property first, says Supreme Court

The top judge stated that the prime minister should set an example and pay the regularisation fee today. “He [PM Imran] was the first to highlight these issues. PM Imran should regularise his own residence and set an example for others to follow.”

Justice Nisar also warned that the prime minister will be summoned in the case if the regularisation fee is not paid.

Addressing the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Afzal Latif, the chief justice lamented that majority of the problems are within the local development authority.

Bani Gala encroachment case: CJP says CDA should first take action against PM Imran

During the hearing, the court also expressed its displeasure on the lack of progress in the matter despite an earlier order granting 10 days to complete the task. Justice Nisar also instructed that details of the committee meeting be submitted to the registrar’s office.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned until tomorrow.

Makes total sense in a broke nation where a $6 Million theft qualifies as the "biggest s'curity b'ritch".

This actually happened when Modi "reached out and touched" the dimwit. Dimmy is on record stating that he "recoiled" at the touch. I hope Modi remembers that incident. Can someone locate a report on that encounter?

In video, Indian Army pounds Pak army camps across LoC
The attack, which also targeted 2-3 terror camps, came days after the Pakistani army pounded the 93rd infantry brigade headquarters and an army camp in Poonch on October 23.
An intelligence source said the Indian army used 120 mm mortars and artillery ammunition and pounded the administrative headquarters with nearly 12 rounds in the wee hours of the day.

Malala's Dad ( And Guardian Cum Manager !) "Rubbishes The Kaptaan's Naya Pakhana-istan

Is this 'Change' and 'Naya Pakistan' you promised us?, Malala's father questions PM Imran
The News International
Oct 29, 2018
LONDON: Is this the 'Change' and 'Naya Pakistan' you promised us?, questioned Ziaduddin Yousafzai, father of Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai, to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Ziauddin raised the question while Sharing notification of government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which the provincial government imposed a ban on the entrance of any male dignitaries in any events concerning girls’ government schools in the province. Human Rights "Minister" Mazari, where are you
According to a notification issued the provincial administration’s Elementary and Secondary Education Department, events held in all-girls’ government schools are to invite female officers or members of parliament or provincial assembly as chief guests while the presence of male dignitaries will be forbidden.
From his second to his third marriage, Imran went "without cover" to "cover" ( cricket analogy !) , so from that point of view, it makes sense
Malala's father tweets, "Dear PM @ImranKhanPTI, Is this the “Change” and “Naya Pakistan” you promised us?"Institutionalisation of Talibanisation?!," he continued.

PS: PM Imran, COAS Pajwa, Info Propaganda Minister Fawad, LET Honcho Hafiz Suar and Labbaik Head Khadim Rizvi missing from the "CC" List

"New-Found Friend" Roos Gets Tough On Visa Violator Paki

Fakhr-e-Alam detained at Russian airport, Pak in touch with authorities
The News International
Oct 29, 2018
MOSCOW: Noted Pakistani singer Fakhre Alam, who is on a globetrotting mission, has been detained by Russian authorities at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport as his visa was expired two hours ago before landing the eastern city, Faysal Quraishi shared on his social media accounts. It is not Moscow. ! Pakis are probably a "rare and exotic breed" in this Siberian outstation
Alam had embarked on a distinct journey earlier this month of circumnavigating the globe becoming the first Pakistani to do so.
Are "they" doing an = = again
The 46-year-old singer arrived in Japan on Sunday and updated his fans on the next stops."I appeal to Pak govt to request Russian govt to allow me to continue my journey to Alaska. I don't want to give up Mission Parwaaz. I need Pakistan's support to carry on our flag to finish this.I have been in a room without food or water. No Wi-Fi. They didn't give me my phone for 6 hours. I NEED HELP," the actor further said on behalf of Alam.
So, Pakistan and the Green Book's stellar "reputation" has even reached this remote frontier town. He is indeed lucky that he was not "escorted" by Russian Air Force jets
Pakistan Ambassador in Moscow has spoken to Fakhr-e-Alam and is also in touch with Russian authorities, Foreign Office spokesman Dr Mohammad said. Problem will hopefully  be resolved soon, he further stated. So, his ego busted, the Paki is going to be held in·communicado for a few more hours and even days hopefully . Hope the Paki Ambassador does not have to make a special trip to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport to "bail him out " !
Taking to Twitter, Fakhr-e-Alam left a message for his supporters and cited of how unbelievable it is to have a dream come to reality as he hangs around Nagoya, Japan during his mission to circumnavigate the world in 28 days.
That was then, and this is now - without food and water . Hope he gets served halaal fare when they do
"The people in Japan are very beautiful and civilized. ( A dig at his Islami homeland  ) It’s an entirely civilized structure and very clean. You wouldn’t spot any garbage on the road," he said in a video message.
"I hope Allah bless my country with the same cleanliness, kindliness and the urge to live with love, respect and care", he added.

Money Laundering With A Pakistani Twist

Poor Pakistani rickshaw driver’s fear after finding US$22 million was in bank account
South China Morning Post - AFP ( This story has "gone viral" world wide , yet another blow to Imran's pathetic attempt to "fix" Pakistan's image  )
Oct 28, 2018
It took rickshaw driver Mohammad Rasheed a year to save 300 rupees to buy his daughter a bike, so when he found three billion rupees (US$22.5 million) had passed through an unused bank account in his name, he was stunned … and scared.
“I started sweating and shivering,” said the 43-year-old – just the latest victim of a money laundering scheme that Pakistan’s new prime minister, Imran Khan, has vowed to crush.
When he got a call from the Federal Investigation Agency, Rasheed’s first inclination was to go into hiding, but friends and family members finally convinced him to cooperate with officials. His case mirrors dozens of similar stories in recent weeks that have filled newspapers in Pakistan and riled a populace long accustomed to extravagant tales of corruption and theft. The incidents follow a similar arc – bank accounts in poor residents’ names are flooded with cash, then suddenly emptied in a laundering scheme that has likely seen hundreds of millions of dollars moved out of the country. Rasheed’s name was eventually cleared, but his anxiety remained.
How can Imran be 400% sure that none of his business and political cronies have used this "method" to move Moolah abroad . ( He has been blaming Zardari and Nawaz for this !) . Just very recently, the same FIA had served a notice to his sister Alima Khan for holding benaima ( proxy) property in Dubai !!!
“I stopped driving my rented rickshaw on the roads because of the fear that some other investigating agencies might pick me up,” he said.“My wife fell sick because of the tension.”
Meanwhile Imran Khan's sister Aleema is "enjoying" her trip abroad, according to her servant , who informed the FIA men who came to serve the show -cause notice on her !
Only weeks before the fiasco he had finally been able to buy a 300-rupee bike with worn tyres for his daughter – the fruit of a year’s careful saving.
The revelation of the laundering frenzy comes as the newly elected Khan has vowed to squash rampant corruption and recover billions siphoned from the country as his government scrambles to shore up Pakistan’s deteriorating finances.“This is your stolen money,” said the former cricketer during a televised address to the nation Wednesday.
Will he "allow" the FIA to pursue the full story behind his sister's purchase of the Dubai Property
“It was stolen on public contracts … and transferred into these accounts, then laundered abroad.“I will spare no corrupt man ( or women  ) in this country,” he promised. ( will he spare his sister  )
But for victims like Mohammad Qadir the damage has already been done.“I have never even seen a bank from the inside,” said the 52-year-old ice cream vendor.Transactions were nevertheless made in his name for 2.25 billion rupees.Since news of the incident spread Qadir says he is regularly mocked by his neighbours and also fears being kidnapped by criminal elements who believe he has billions of rupees to spare for hefty ransoms.
“He is a penniless billionaire,” one of Qadir’s acquaintances laughed while driving past his ice cream cart in the Karachi slum of Orangi town. People make fun of me, but I ended up with nothing at all from this situation,” said Qadir. “It is such a tragedy.” Sarwat Zehra, a 56-year-old official, says she has suffered from high blood pressure after being handed a bill for 13 million rupees in back taxes.“I was told that a company had illegally passed 14 or 15 billion rupees through my account,” she said.
Of course, the fraudsters like Zardari and Nawaz have done "due diligence" in selecting poor and illiterate "Abduls" like Qadir and Rasheed as "tools". One only wishes that the Paki higher ups had done the same intense scrutiny with the CPEC to ensure that they were not ripped off by the shrewd Chinese .
Pakistan’s poor have long been used as fronts for the elite to dodge taxes and hide assets. But the scale of the bank account scheme is unprecedented, with authorities pointing the finger at some of Karachi’s wealthiest power brokers including figures with links to former president Asif Zardari. In September, Pakistan’s Supreme Court established a commission to investigate the scourge, finding that at least 400 million dollars had passed through “thousands of false accounts”, using the names of impoverished people. Some 600 companies and individuals “are associated with the scandal”, the commission concluded.
The Kaptaan is mouthing the absurd figure of 200 Billion Dollars , which he believes has been "stolen" in this and other ways by the likes of Zardari and Ganja Sharif . Of course, he has not provided any proof of this accusation !
t is all the more embarrassing for Khan as his administration scrambles to secure billions of dollars in foreign financial help, while also entering talks with the International Monetary Fund for a potential bailout amid a widening balance of payment crisis. The brazen laundering schemes come as Pakistan was again placed on a watch list this year by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) – an anti money-laundering monitor based in Paris -for failing to do enough to combat terror financing.
True to form , Imran has not mentioned military corruption, military use of criminals like Dawood Ebrahim to further their nefarious designs against dushman India

Teen victim of Rotherham sex abuse gang 'had sex with at least 100 Asian men'

Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, Salah Ahmed El-Hakam and Tanweer Hussain Ali were convicted.

A teenage victim of a Rotherham sex gang convicted today told their trial she had sex with ‘at least 100 Asian men’.

Seven men were found guilty on Monday of sexually exploiting vulnerable teenage girls, following a huge National Crime Agency investigation.

During their trial at Sheffield Crown Court, one complainant said she had sex with dozens of Asian men before she was 16.

Another victim gave evidence saying she was gang-raped in a forest and threatened with being abandoned there.

Image
Iqlak Yousaf and Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar were among the seven men jailed.

The harrowing testimony emerged during the first prosecution arising out of Operation Stovewood, the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) inquiry into historical child sexual exploitation in the South Yorkshire town which has identified more than 1,500 victims.

The jury in the trial which finished on Monday heard how girls, who are now in their 30s, were ‘lured by the excitement of friendship with older Asian youths’ but then sexually assaulted and passed between men.

Prosecutors said the five complainants in the trial were easy to target because they needed to be loved.

Image
Salah Ahmed El-Hakam and Tanweer Hussain Ali were also among those convicted and will be sentenced next month.

Michelle Colborne QC, prosecuting, said: ‘When they were in their teens, they were targeted, sexualised and, in some instances, subjected to acts of a degrading and violent nature at the hands of these men who sit in the dock.’

She said: ‘None of them had the maturity to understand that they were being groomed and exploited.’

The prosecutor said they ‘believed sex of some kind or other was a necessary price for friendship’.

Nabeel Kurshid and Asif Ali were found guilty of sexually exploiting vulnerable teenage girls.

The jury of nine men and three women was told how girls were given alcohol and drugs before they were passed between men in the town.

‘They each suffer the emotional effects of that abuse to this day,’ Ms Colborne said.

The prosecutor said: ‘The girls were enthralled by older, Asian men, men who had cars and seemed exciting to them.

‘They thought they were living the high life.’

Image
Seven men were convicted of sexually exploiting vulnerable teenage girls at Sheffield Crown Court.

Ms Colborne said they were ‘frequently in cars stopped by the police but this did not deter the abusers’.

This investigation was set up in the wake of the 2014 Jay Report which laid bare the shocking scale of exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013 and failure of police and social services to intervene.

The seven men who were convicted on Monday were told by Judge Sarah Wright they will be sentenced on November 16.

They were all remanded in custody.

See Video : Rotherham abuse survivor Sammy Woodhouse shares her story

Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, 37, of Godstone Road, Rotherham, was found guilty of one rape, one charge of aiding and abetting rape, three indecent assaults, one charge of procuring a girl under 21 to have unlawful sexual intercourse with another and one sexual assault.

Nabeel Kurshid, 35, of Weetwood Road, Rotherham, was found guilty of two rapes and one indecent assault.

Iqlak Yousaf, 34, of Tooker Road, Rotherham, was found guilty of two rapes and two indecent assaults.

Tanweer Ali, 37, of Godstone Road, Rotherham, was found guilty of two rapes, two indecent assaults and one charge of false imprisonment.

Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, 39, of Tudor Close, Sheffield, was found guilty of one rape.

Asif Ali, 33, of Clough Road, Rotherham, was found guilty of two indecent assaults.

Ajmal Rafiq, 39, of Warwick Street, Rotherham, was acquitted of all charges.

An eighth defendant, who cannot be named, was found guilty of two rapes.

Regarding previous paedo case
only sky news reported; “muslim recently converted to sikhism”

ch4 (drain inspector/beeboid type channel)..
just showed full screen mugshot of supposed “sikh” ring leader.
They are probably desperate to return to “south asian” narrative

As someone said to me, they would have all converted to being white englishmen (before trial and mugshots), if they could get away with it

I never heard the sky reporting since I dont waste my life watching british news channels but on digging around;

“The ringleader, Amere Singh Dhaliwal, converted to Sikhism after the abuse.”

dont know how long link will last before it is pulled, scroll down for above sentence;

Remember those 14 eyerainian soldiers that were kidnapped by Jaishul Haq a few days ago? Here's an older article that blames the pakis and saudis who create this group sunny group. Would Kulbhushan's kidnapping from eyeran be something to do with this group?

Pakistani-Saudi Role in Financing, Training “Jaish al-Adl” Active in Sistan
A new mysterious group calling itself the “Jaishul Haq” (Army of Right) Jaish al-Adllaunched an attack in the Iranian province of Sistan after a truce that lasted more than three years following the arrest of “Abdul Malik Rigi” by the Iranian authorities. Rigi is the leader of the Jundollah “the Soldiers of God” group, which has worked militarily against Iran from Pakistan before being exterminated by Iran in 2010. The attack resulted in the death of 16 Iranian soldiers, and the attacking group set off from the “Baluchistan” province in Pakistan through the “Khojak” tunnel passing through Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan, Pakistan.
The said sources accuse also the Pakistani intelligence, in conjunction with the Saudi intelligence, of creating and activating this group. The sources say that the Saudi intelligence has spent recently huge amounts of money to fund the Jaish al-Adl group, but the weak human Saudi possibilities that do not allow the Saudi intelligence to take direct care logistically and militarily of this group forced the Saudis to employ the Pakistani intelligence to take care of the group that is controlling Jaish al-Adl and running it. The French sources confirm that the Pakistani intelligence was the first to up bring and create this group, as it created, trained, and guided the Jundollah organization in the past, but it abandoned it when its interest with Iran required so.
Pakistan, which receives funding from Saudi Arabia, entered into strategic alliance with Riyadh, and thus the leadership of the Pakistani army, which controls the Pakistani intelligence work, cannot reject the Saudi dictation in this regard. The Pakistani army has linked its policy in the region directly to the policy of Saudi Arabia since decades.
The Pakistani military institution is concerned over this triple convergence that might affect its influence in Afghanistan and its rank in America, especially that Iran has good relationship with India, the enemy of Pakistan, and the third largest importer of the Iranian oil. The Pakistani military institution is concerned over the return of the Russian influence to the Central Asian region and over the fact that this return might evoke the Pakistani role in the Afghan war against the Soviet Union, as well as the role of the Pakistani intelligence in financing and arming the Salafist groups fighting in Islamic countries, which were part of the former Soviet Union. This all comes in addition to the Pakistani-Saudi intelligence role in assassinating “Ahmad Shah Massoud”, an ally of Russia and Iran in Afghanistan, and in supporting the Taliban enemy of Moscow. These concerns that meet with the Saudi concerns made Islamabad under the control of the Saudi intelligence in this file, and this means that Pakistan and Iran might have tense relationship in the future if the attacks were repeated by the so-called Jaish al-Adl group against the Iranian territory. In fact, Riyadh is aware of this and perhaps this is part of its plan to fight Iran and to disrupt the international consensus reached with Washington on Syria and the Iranian nuclear file.
