Check Prof. Jane Davidson, Dept. of Mechanical Engg, U. Minnesota. I believe they have a lab where they use solar lamps (real sunlight is at a premium in MN) to demonstrate this.

We brought rain, of course. Duh! There was enough in 2 days that puddles were standing on free soil. Drought over.
Participants seemed happy, haven't heard any other feedback.
