Free Covid vaccine, professional education including medical and engineering studies in Hindi, 19 lakh jobs largely in health, IT, agriculture sectors, Bihar as national IT hub, push to women SHGs, AIIMS in Darbhanga - BJP promises for Bihar 2020.
Does it really say what I think it says?

I would frigging love that if it's true. There are so many brilliant people in india who never get to shine because they couldn't master a foreign language.

Why Rahul Gandhi Cannot Use Congress Ruled States To Block Centre’s Farm Reforms | Punjab Assembly

On Tuesday (20 October), the Capt Amarinder Singh government in Punjab passed three Bills in the State Assembly to essentially neutralise the Narendra Modi government’s agricultural reforms in the State.

Among the proposals made in the three Bills passed by the Punjab Assembly are: making purchases of rice and wheat below the minimum support price (MSP) fixed by the Centre punishable, provision to levy fee on corporates purchasing outside the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) mandis (markets), and protecting landholdings of small farmers who own less than 2.5 acres of land from attachment.

Another provision enables the State government to fix stock limits to prevent hoarding and black-marketing.

The Punjab government might want people to believe that these measures are farmer-friendly, but a review of them should leave no one in doubt that they are an exercise in futility.

Despite the Modi government assuring every stakeholder in the agricultural sector that the Centre's reforms are for the welfare of the farmers, the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), the latter of which quit the National Democratic Alliance in the wake of the reforms, have raised the stakes to levels that are hard to fulfil.

For the record, the Centre passed three Acts in Parliament to usher in agricultural reforms. However, Rahul Gandhi is becoming face of the protests.

Amit Shah, The Antifragile
All is fair in love and war as many say. But for Amit Shah, to be in politics is to be in war and he takes no prisoners. His actions, counter actions, decisions surprise the press, the opposition, and the masses. His actions are above the press circles of selective leaks and gossips.

Political analyst Neerja Chaudhury said, “Shah is unlike the usual politician we have seen. He is hard working, driven with killer instincts, his hunger for power makes him a formidable foe for the Opposition. One may disagree with his approach, but his performance will ultimately be judged by how he has delivered.”

Many compare Amit Shah to Chanakya and Modi as Chandragupta. Is history repeating. Not so. Modi is the match winner for Amit Shah. Is the comparison not right or the combination is at another level? Chandragupta should be given credit for making Chanakya a huge unstoppable success. Lets decode the strategy and understand the reality.

He is an American parrot. Peddles the line of US State Dept. on any issue related to India. (It was misplaced generosity of Modi on the lines of Prithviraj Chauhan to have not replaced this dude the moment Modi became PM.) Americans have managed to place columns on exactly the same theme in some newspapers, like the Indian Express (which is another American parrot) and Times of India. Americans are perturbed by Modi's promotion of Atma Nirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India). To discredit it, they are peddling through their Indian stooges the line of "Modi is looking to ban imports." I have been noticing this pattern of articles with same arguments appearing in different newspapers in two-three days of each other. This shows foreign hand on one side and blind greed and baniya mentality of Hindu newspaper owners on the other.

Here is an example of one such column placed in Indian Express. It is full of dishonest arguments:
To embrace atmanirbharta is to choose to condemn Indian economy to mediocrity

India does not have the luxury of abandoning export orientation, the alternatives are limited. Resisting the misleading allure of the domestic market, India should zealously boost export performance and deploy all means to achieve that.
https://indianexpress.com/article/opini ... 9-6725538/

Another set of article on air pollution in Delhi is being placed now in newspapers -- the target is Diwali and to ensure that the ban on crackers continues on the pretext of air pollution. Both HT and TOI today carried front page stories on Delhi's rising air pollution. These articles disappear immediately after Diwali gets over. These articles are also being placed by a foreign agency / church to put pressure on judges to continue with the ban on crackers. This has been a pattern for a few years now.

This problem can be solved by making a law to protect interests of consumers (readers / viewers). Newspapers / TV channels have to clearly state if they have taken money to place any editorial content on their platforms. Hiding this should be made a jailable offense. This is the only way to get these greedy Hindu media barons to heel who take money to run editorial campaigns against anything. This is exploited by Whites / Church. If fudging TRP ratings is a jailable offense, why does paid content being peddled as editorial opinion / news to unsuspecting readers not a jailable offense?

Swachh Bharat Mission: Annual Economic Gains From Household Sanitation Worth $727 Per House, Finds Research

....
A paper authored by Guy Hutton, Nicolas Osbert, Sumeet Patil and Avni Kumar on "Comparison of the costs and benefits of the Clean India Mission" found that annual benefits of $ 727 per household are mainly from savings associated with reduced diarrhoea incidence (55%) and from sanitation access time savings (45%).

"On 2nd October 2014, the Indian Prime Minister, Hon Narendra Modi, launched the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM - Clean India Mission) and announced that India aimed to be open defecation free (ODF) by October 2019; an objective whose fulfilment has been reported by the Government of India.

It's a fairly regular critique of Atmanirbharta Bharat as autarky . Most of these simply don't understand what the policy is. In the case of RR, he's just parroting nonsense built around a strawman. The fundamental basis of autarky NOT import substitution. It is aversion to external trade and investment. This is a necessary part of autarky. A policy that encourages manufacturing over finished imports is not autarkic because it does not meet the sufficient definition of the term.

A country pushing a domestic manufacturing base is not indulging in autarky - particularly when it a) readily welcomes foreign investment in doing so and b) strongly emphasizes exports. The entire basis of the East Asian model was strongly pushing exports while focusing on import denial or substitution.

What India is doing is not autarky - it's a modern revision of the East Asian model. Actually I'd prefer that the critiques focus on screaming autarky. They're nowhere close to reality in the process, and that is just as well.

What is the need for a white man (assuming they are non Indians) to be part of this 'research'? Are Indians not qualified to do this study by themselves? Whether it is Indology or Sanitation why the hell does the white man gets a seat in our table? :(

For that, an ecosystem of equivalent peer-review process and journal outlets has to happen within India. Even the papers on rakhigarhi dna had to have the names of those snooty Harvard profs on it (with those profs forcing unpalatable edits on the original paper).

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the ... n-Islamism
Can Macron stem the tide of Islamism in France?
Just over a week ago, Emanuel Macron said he wanted to end ‘Islamic separatism’ in France because a minority of the country’s estimated six million Muslims risk forming a ‘counter-society’.

....
That Macron even gave an anti-Islamism speech was itself a sign of how fast the debate is moving in France. Five years ago, when Fox News referred to ‘no-go zones’ in Paris, the city’s mayor threatened to sue. Now we have an avowed centrist like Macron warning that the ‘final goal’ of the ‘ideology’ of Islamism is to ‘take complete control’ of society. Anyone making such arguments just a few years ago would have been condemned by the left as an extremist.

....
The battle of ideas against Islamism will, of necessity, be a long one and if he hopes to succeed Macron must ensure that French civil society and philanthropic foundations are fully engaged in this effort. He should disband subversive Islamist organisations that lay the ideological groundwork for violence, while calling on his fellow European leaders to do the same. It’s amazing how many of them, even now, prefer to avoid the topic.

Societies around the world (including India) have been very ostrich like when it comes to the Peaceful religion and their adherents. Societies that were openly racist and discriminatory (read Western) now feel that they have to atone for past crimes and want to virtue signaling. They do this by welcoming brown folks from all over the world to show how accepting they are. They neglect to consider the fact that not every immigrant is made equal. A Hindu/Sikh/Jain/Buddhist immigrant will try to build his host nation, contribute to the economy, create jobs. Peacefuls will go on welfare, misuse public amenities, push their religion on others and make pests of themselves and work to destroy the culture and society of their host nation.

Typical agency problem. The leaders of these societies aim for the No-bull Piss Prize, while the everyday Eddie in these countries have to deal with beheadings, bombings, rapes.

The only time this is solved is if they are identified as a problem like what was done in the 1940s with the Fuhrer and his ideology. I am not confident of this happening any time soon. Maybe things will change.

The French have gone through a complicated journey to get here. One of the first milestones is the Battle of Tours in 732 where Charles Martel defeated the Umayyad caliphate. FFwd few centuries, contrary to the British, French colonial empire had direct/indirect control of many north, west and central African territories with significant muslim populations like Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, and subsaharan Africa which also increased its muslim population over the years. So the post colonial guilt & hangover plus significant immigration from these countries over the past 5 decades have all shaped French secularism, which is quite a different sauce compared to British or Indian secularism.

Post 9/11 and Iraq wars there has been increasing radicalisation and French society, which remains in denial of its Christan (catholic) roots and is quite irreligious, has found it a complicated affair to deal with Islamism and radical islam. The air time given to crooks like Tariq Ramadan amply demonstrates this. That Muslims now represent nearly 5.8 million (9%) of the population (who mostly live in poorer suburbs "banlieus" in self imposed ghettos where police dare not enter) has made weak Govts soft-pedal issues and go lenient on immigration, the spread of hijab/full length burkas and "burkinis". Left leaning political thought which considers everything a "social construct" found itself unable to respond intellectually when faced with rising islamic radicalism and multiple terrorist attacks. Some of them fight for LGBTQ rights in the morning and for Islamists' right to (make their women) wear hijab in the evening showing how shallow and bankrupt their thought process is and how they fail to see reality.

This vacuum and vacillation have emboldened radical islamists, who do their own version of "social salami slicing". I only hope the recent tragedy acts as a durable eye opener and makes France realise that in any compromise/accommodation between reason and irrationality, the first always loses to the second.

From my recent conversations with investors and entrepreneurs in India, there is a real and growing fear of License Raj 2.0 and Rent-Seeking Parasitism returning under the mask of Nationalism, just when the electorate has seen through the mask of Socialism and rejected it. Even those who trust and support Mr Modi, don't trust the scores of regulators and baboonocracy's natural tendencies. Once bitten, twice shy. People are asking, "what happened to minimum government, maximum governance?" It requires some clear and simple messaging. I had to google "autarky".

The sad part is, many of these investors and entrepreneurs didn't hesitate to abandon mfg, any little R&D and jumped at fatter margins by relabelling Chinese/other imports when markets opened and tariff barriers came down. Happened in electronics, while goods, pharma to cite a few.

We need more industrialists in the JRD mould than business men in the Ambani mode for Atmanirbhar Bharat to succeed.

The Ease of Business Rankings suggest a movement in the opposite direction as far as amount of rules and regulations are concerned. Handwavey 'Mudi making it harder for bijness' are noise, and beyond the noise there's EODB rankign that GoI has used for the past 5 years as a proxy to keep track of their efforts to make business easier to do:

What is Akshay Patra’s modus operandi? I thought they were Hindu org but then saw an ad where Rajdeep Sardesai is leading an interview. And there is Brett Lee explaining stuff.
Do you believe music cuts across all boundaries? In a conversation with Rajdeep Sardesai and our CEO Shridhar Venkat, Brett Lee opens up about his musical journey and what music therapy means.

Watch the entire conversation tomorrow as we launch the Circles of Care podcast on YouTube! The first episode is an exhilarating one as they discuss dreams, cricket, opportunities and giving back to society.

I even saw a peacefool volunteer thank Akshaya Patra for providing him material for distribution in this neck of the woods, obviously a peacefool neighborhood.

BUT one must remember that Akshaya Patra gets a lot of donation from MNC and other such corporate entities in general, therefore they have to be open to serve the general population at least in pockets. Till the core Hindu money is spent on their core mission and till they adhere to their core principles it should be ok if some of the corporate money also goes to other sections of society and they have to do some events with some despicable.

Punjab: Two arrested for raping six-year-old girl and setting her on fire, state SC commission takes note
https://www.opindia.com/2020/10/punjab- ... oshiarpur/
...
The Scheduled Caste Commission of Punjab State yesterday took suo moto cognisance of the incident. The chairperson of the Commission, Tejinder Kaur, described the incident as “shocking” which came to her notice after being reported by several media organisations. The commission has asked for a detailed report on the case from Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP) Hoshiarpur by October 26, 2020, and asked the law enforcement officials to take stern and prompt action against the culprits.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has also taken cognisance of the same.

Totally agree all these articles timed for the Diwali.
But both desi media as well as the westerns one don't write anything about:
1. 31st October Halloween night : amount of paper wrappers, crackers, lamps, light electricity etc which will leave huge carbon foot-print.
2. 5th November in UK towns cities councils organise multiple fireworks display as well as family lighting crackers and setting up bonfires in the backyards no articles during that time
3. Christmas/New Year again fireworks on grand scale no one gives a shit.
4. 5th of July dare I repeat myself.
Both the desi lib-shits and the western ones should be challenged on these when they question the validity of bursting crackers during Diwali and say it is not in the books but why this tradition. Then what about all that I have listed above Which Bible/Torah/Quran mentions atom bombs and phuljadhis :rotfl: :rotfl:

The whole 'Republic' saga tells us something, it doesn't matter if you have 300 seats or 40 seats in the Parliament, what matters is a robust ecosystem and a lot of sepoys at every level to do your dirty work. BJP despite having 50+ years of political history going back to Jansangh days, and fighting elections from a panchayat level to parliament level from Karnataka to Kashmir refuses to show it has a tooth let alone gnarl & bite. Shivsena led by political novices father and son duo who haven't seen the world beyond Mumbai repeatedly go after and crush anyone daring to show defiance against their regime. Is the center really so helpless in dealing with Param Bir in Mumbai or Shri Virendra in Bengal ? Reverse the situation and imagine Indira Gandhi or Sonia at the center and if a BJP ruled state had gone after a Congress friendly journalists, actors, party workers this way, they would have pounded the state government and its machinery with 240 mm artillery ! Amit Shah's recently statements in favor of Tanishq goes to show that there's a great deal of gap between those on the ground and those on Sansad Marg.

Ambarji, one just has to analyze their psyche in GJ to know. You would be hard pressed to find BJP folk that believe that they need to go after ecosystem and congress. I have yet to run into anyone who would be ignorant or didn't have prithviraj syndrome. If they can't do it in GJ, then it will not happen outside. The whole congress ecosystem is alive in GJ along with all criminals like congress just lost GJ yesterday. You won't find any dara hua congress worker in GJ. Or even communists who are making in to roads with manufacturing sectors going up in GJ.

Mumbai Police Files FIR On Republic’s Entire Editorial Team, Hear Arnab’s Message To Them

In a shockingly blatant move against the Republic Media Network, Mumbai Police has filed an FIR against the entire editorial team of the network, revealed Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami.

All 1000 employees of the network have been booked by the Mumbai Police, including top editors of the Network. The Mumbai police has booked the case for a serious non-bailable offence for incitement to disaffection among members of the Police Force and defaming Mumbai Police - under sections 500 and 34 of IPC.
Arnab: 'All 1000 employees booked'

"For the first time in Indian history, an FIR has been filed against every editorial staff of a network. This means that 1000 employees of the Republic Media Network have been booked by the Mumbai police. They (Mumbai police) say 'How can you air the Hansa report?' and we said, 'we will not reveal our sources'. Hence half an hour ago, Param Bir Singh instructed to file a case against all Republic editorial staff. The staff who are part of the production team, graphics team, promos team - we produce the news together. Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, let there be a one-on-one now," said Arnab.

MH voters still have not hit the streets so they all seem to be okay with it. Just like they have been okay with not touching any dawood property.

Darshanji, it is natural for people to fear and respect power no matter how unjust and ruthless that power is. In case of MH, if BJP continues on its "mouna vrath" path, i naturally see people voting back INC to power with majority, and in WB it will be TMC again. Your comment on GJ reminded me that Congress and Sonia were so vindictive & ruthless that they had the then GJ Home Minister Amit Shah arrested and ousted out of GJ in 2010 - this when GJ had been a bastion of BJP for over a decade and under consecutive BJP governments. Similarly they let CBI chase Yeddiyurappa and his family when Karnataka was under BJP rule. And ofcourse, the entire Congress ecosystem with their foreign benefactors went after Modi with vengeance treating him like a petty no-name career criminal for over 10 yrs, they dragged him for interrogation with low ranked CBI officers anytime they wanted just to make a point.

Its probably too late but maybe its time to have someone with better political acumen than Fadnavis, someone who knows the NCP/INC ecosystem in MH lead BJP even if its only for a short while.

not sure if i need to post it here or in physics thread :rotfl: :rotfl: . can some one tell me what is the author trying to say? how black hole related to working class? or better how black holes creates/affects working class of communist?

Dialectical Materialism & The Question of Black Holes
The Theory of Relativity and Black Holes

We have seen in our earlier article how philosophical idealism in the form of positivism influenced many leading scientists during the construction of quantum theory. The quantum theory in its Copenhagen interpretation, on the basis of what was called the uncertainty principle, ruled out any causal laws at the level of quantum phenomena. In this version of quantum theory, it is in principle not possible to understand the motion of an elementary particle like the electron, or the breaking up of a radium atom, by looking for underlying causes. This was the philosophical position that the bourgeoisie was ready to support. It was welcomed by the leaders of Western science.

Thus we have the physicist Walter Heitler, who contributes an essay in Albert Einstein Philosopher Scientist (Ed.P.A.Schlipp), declare with a sigh of relief: “But what is clear is that the new situation, with which we are confronted in quantum mechanics, has created room for an approach to the problems of life, (and other domains of human thought) which is chained not to the deterministic views of classical physics”. What Heitler was looking for was a science which left room for faith.

A very similar situation is to be found in the development of Einstein’s great theories, the special theory of relativity (1905) and the general theory of relativity (1915). The general theory of relativity was utilized to propagate various kinds of idealistic and creationist views of the world, e.g., the so called big bang theory which propagates that the world was formed about 15,000 million years ago.

One of the offshoots of this theory is the proposition of the existence of objects, called the black holes, as final stages in the development of certain types of stars. Such astronomical objects defy the principles of dialectical materialism, such as about the knowability of the world or of the existence of contradictory processes within such objects. If the black holes, as posited by the general theory of relativity, exist with the above properties, then it means that dialectical materialism does not hold, and will have to be discarded. Hence the question of black holes is of great importance. Here is a case where the question of defence of dialectical materialism is posed before the working class.

fadnavis is just fine.

why do you think that so many politicos from the opposition are against him and why even some scum from the BJP want him replaced.

the number of powerful enemies in politics often reveals how right or how effective you are in thwarting them.

just because, at every available opportunity, he doesn't breathe fire and brimstone in public doesn't mean that he does not know what he is doing.

the primary and a repeated demand of all opposition parties was to remove fadnavis because he had single handedly, silently and very effectively hobbled the entire co-operative banks, APMCs, and co-operative sugar mills mafias and the political patronage networks that was being nurtured by these guys and run on a hefty subscription model basis.
