Saaru ... with all the respect that I can summon up for a fellow human being .. I will not ask you to "read up a bit", just read your own posts of the last few days.
You introduced the pujya Sri Dhruv Rathee jee, the propagandist, as the final word on all temporal matters on this earth. You introduced this method of discussion with name calling like "Chaiwalla". You introduced this call to a higher authority, the economists from hawa-vad, etc.
I admit I am not as brilliant as you and that is why I tend to shape my response in your illustrious ways. If you where wrong in injecting the above 3 instead of putting out data and analysis then I too was wrong. OTOH, if you are right in using the 3 to make your point then I, as a diligent observer of your tactics, cannot be wrong.
BTW, you stout defense of pujya Sri Dhruv Rathee jee makes me wonder if you shouldn't take your own advice and "read up a bit on how cults work" because to me you sound cultist by your own criteria.
Note again, this is the 4th element you have introduced in our present discussion and I am just showing you the mirror. If you don't like the mirror to be shown to you don't introduce new tactics in defense of the propagandist pujya Shri Dhruv Rathee jee but talk on facts and analysis.
I see that you are a fiercely independent thinker so am making a humble request wonlee!
venkat_r wrote:Also just by calling someone propagandist multiple times does not make it ok, tone down on your name calling and focus on points if you can
Ah .. enlightenment .. Finally! My advise to you too would mirror your own. Don't get into name calling for other copy cats can do the same to you.
As I have noted in the previous portion of my response to this post, focus on facts and analysis rather than bringing in propagandist like pujya Shri Dhruv Rathee jee, name calling like "chaiwalla" or appeal to higher authority like eCONomist or you latest tactics.
You are a fine person to advice other when you cannot stop yourself from introducing new unwarranted elements into the discussion, the latest being your reference to "cult". If you can't handle the mirror please stick to facts and analysis.
venkat_r wrote:Well if you want to learn about propaganda, I can post some more, and who and how they are done, but let's focus here on demo
Well I only posted what he said about demo - even if that guy was an idiot, that does not make any of the points he raised as irrelevant. I have posed one more source, Arun Shourie's interview and if you feel you are so above all these petty people, and the points then there is nothing for you to say
I don't agree that the guy is an idiot. He is a propagandist plain and simple. At the end of his cost comparison for the statue of Unity he does mention that there is something called inflation BUT in spite of knowing he chooses to conveniently ignore it in all his analysis with just that mention.
That is not the tactics of an idiot but a propagandist who wants to push a particular point of view not fact based analysis. That is as clear as day and night to anyone who looks at this video objectively.
But pujya Shri Dhruv Rathee jee jindabad! If caught make excuses for him with "one small piece" or "even if that guy was an idiot". He is definitely NOT an idiot.
Once we agree on pujya Shri Dhruv Rathee jee as a propagandist I will move on. Till then on this thread, especially with you multiple and spirited defense of him, I will just keep highlighting his work.
