Thanks for posting the video. It is truly amazing how the jawans can keep such high spirits even when facing such dangers and being away from their family. They are truly great men who sacrifice so much and ask for nothing in return other than respect.

saw this sensational video in youtube when i was looking for a specific video on the indian defence forces... absolutely can't believe that the media can leak such sensitive info to general population... Looks we'll have to change the clause for controlling the media that's used in wartime into one that can be used full time...

^^^ I dont worry about what the enemy takes out of it ... afterall the CAG report is the easiest thing for them to lay their hands on. But I do worry about the faith of the general population on our armed forces.

P.S. India does have "free"-press. "responsible" is not written anywhere, not even on the minds of such "senior" journalists. They sensationalize anything from cat on a roof, to snake on a tree, to defence audits. What difference does it make! And I love the part where they earn the brownie points, "is anyone listening to our brave soldiers?". All this, while they demoralize the brave soldiers and encouraging the adversaries.

OT maybe but I found Salman very aloof. Other celebs on the show have been much more forthcoming..

Perhaps Salmon mian realized that every man and woman he met there is 1000 times more a hero than he ever will be. Very proud to see women in the video in both non-flying and flying roles. 8)

The only problem is most of India only remembers them in times of war when they haul our panties out of the fire for free and on Independence Day when it is fashionable to show off one's patriotism. Even then the contribution is mostly limited to empty narey-baazi (slogans) and insincere claims of never forgetting them.

^^and whose fault is that?? Shouldn't that be the responsibility of the average citizens to respect their armed forces, shouldn't the MEDIA show their acts of bravery, martyrdom and their suffering where they could use any amount of help, fund raisers and local awareness is the key of the locals as much as the armies PR division?? Instead of inviting them ONLY on Republic day and Independence day, should the media not dedicate once a week programs to raise awareness??

^^^It is the fault of the mango abdul and to some extent the media. Awareness of the contribution of armed forces in our country is abysmal to say the least. Ask any of the mall/pub trawling iPhone toting brats and you will get the same reactions as Hrithik Roshan's pals in the first few segments of the movie Lakshya. Hope BRF jingos who have kids are actively inculcating the true values into their offspring so that when they grow up, they are not as uneducated as the current generation.

Thanks a lot to BR admin who has appreciated and acknowledged our humble effort. For long wiki pedia has been a good and open source for various information but we wanted to have a special military and defense related wiki pedia where will can get a lot of information at one place and also have greater participation from people interested in defense and military.
We are banking on the support and advices from prominent sources to make the place better and appealing, the primary objective is that this site will and cannot be edited by anonymous people , we are looking at professional and prominent people to add to the data, some of the features of the website is
1:- No editing by members. Only people with specific permissions can modify the data, so that people cant play mischief and we create a good and reliable source of data
2.:- Members who are registered can leave their opinions and comments on the particles via a comments feature , also a discussion page with help to discuss matters related to the topic.
3:- the site is open for all to read and access.
4.:- a team of prominent members will review the articles and edit out any anomalies we are looking to add a lot of foreign members to this team too to maintain good pages from all the countries.
5. this is just a first step and a slow process we are looking for the support and help from all sources to take this forward.

With physical exertion, one can actually start sweating inside those clothes. Which btw, is a dangerous thing - as this sweat on colling down can have -ve consequences.

Sachin becomes Group Captain in IAF
Sachin Tendulkar was on Friday conferred with the Indian Air Force’s honorary rank of Group Captain to honour his cricketing achievements and contribution to the nation.

Tendulkar is the first sportsperson to be conferred a rank by IAF and the first personality with no aviation background to receive the honour.

In 2008, Kapil Dev had received the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the Territorial Army.

Tendulkar was inducted into the Air Force as its brand ambassador with IAF chief Air Chief Marshal P V Naik doing the honours in a glittering ceremony at the Air Force auditorium here.

Gaur sir,
Could you post a list of them???
Pardon the OT..
Official Promo of the Film. Very Scerene.

For those who want a little more aggression.

The above two videos are available in HD.

One below is in SD

Again, there are several more videos available on youtube. Search for "Les Chevaliers du Ciel" or "Sky fighters". Most of the videos have repeated scenes but once in a while you will find a 3 sec unique scene in a 3 min video which will make it worthwhile.

If you like the above videos then you would be very happy to grab the movie in blu ray. The movie is in french but who cares for the speech? Right?

created my first jingo fanboy video mashup :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdvanZsGIQk

the theme - India's Nuclear weapon development programme & its delivery systems

regarding aircraft equipped to deliver Nuclear payload, google gave conflicting answers from among the Flankers, Mirages, Fulcrum, Floggers & Jaguars. Video being listed under the Entertainment secn, took some artisitc liberty & shown them all ;)

Took some Flogger clip from Shiv Sir's upload - thank you :)

Please view it & if you have a Google account, do rate it. Would welcome inputs & suggesstions
