Is this corruption related to the initial order made around 2003 or is it related to the follow on order around 2008?

Ramana Saar, this deal I strongly suspect, was done by UPA lackeys and babus in the system.
I read the 2004 annual report of BAe and they reported the contract signing in April 2004 along with corresponding cash flow.
If the cash went into BAe coffers after 20 Apr, 2004 then my suspicions on pro family babus in the systems will strengthen.
Team NDA 1999 was rife with "advisors" who we now know were compromised.
2008 was when the qpq trail started IIRC and this eventually lead to the big deal in 2010.
I suspect that the elaborate cover was drawn in 2004 to make it look bipartisan on the surface to hide the scam by INC to be committed at a later date.

Lets see. I think we will see a spate of prosecutions.
In this game of evidence gathering Ahmed Patel already became Allah ke Pyare.
I note Pilatus scam didn't get notified.

When playing with fire, always remember that fire can burn you as well.

When folks were cheering on the fake Rafale scam by Rahul Gandhi, the Congress Party and their cronies...there was a lot of glee. It does not matter if India's defence preparedness is delayed or even fails, but arms must only be bought from America (the land of utopia, where milk and honey flows). I hope folks will have fun with this one as well. When American military sales to India could potentially take a set back, due to allegations of corruption, does it go down smooth like a glass of single malt whiskey? :)

Saket Gokhale, National Spokesperson - All India Trinamool Congress, has now raised allegations that India is overpaying for the MQ-9B drones being purchased from the United States. I am posting his first (set of five) tweets below, but click the link and read through all five.

https://twitter.com/SaketGokhale/status ... 95939?s=20 ---> Modi Govt OVERPAYS for US drones in deal signed by PM Modi (like Rafale)...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above allegations were serious enough for the Ministry of Defence to issue an official release. See below.

https://twitter.com/livefist/status/167 ... 02625?s=20 ---> ‘Fake news’ about price & terms of purchase aimed at ‘derailing’ the acquisition process, says the Indian MoD in an unusually annoyed statement on social media chatter over India’s intended purchase of 31 MQ-9B SkyGuardian/SeaGuardian drones.

Following the above press release, the Press India Bureau reiterated the above (verbatim) in their own press release;

https://twitter.com/PIBFactCheck/status ... 87104?s=20 ---> @SaketGokhale has made a claim regarding the acquisition of MQ-9B drone. #PIBFactCheck

* This claim is misleading.
* This is the price quoted by the US govt. Price & the terms of purchase are yet to be finalised & are subject to negotiations

Acquisition of MQ-9B drones: Speculative reports uncalled for

================================================

The above was countered by Saket Gokhale, in the following set of two tweets. Click on link below;

https://twitter.com/SaketGokhale/status ... 20416?s=20

================================================

Poor Saket cannot comprehend simple English :) See below...

https://twitter.com/alpha_defense/statu ... 38208?s=20 ---> 2nd Paragraph from MoD's Statement :

The AoN noted that the *ESTIMATED* cost of 3,072 million USD *PROVIDED* by the US Government. However, the price will be *NEGOTIATED* once policy approval of the US Government is received. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) will *COMPARE* the acquisition cost with the *BEST PRICE* offered by General Atomics (GA) to other countries. The procurement is in progress and would be completed as per the laid down procedure.

The deal is still not *SIGNED* as of now. KEY WORDS HIGHLIGHTED :lol:

I have no problem with such allegations tactically if it helps negotiate a better price. After that let unkil pay what he needs to to shut up these fellas. GoI show collect evidence of all such payments, make a dossier and keep safe for potential future use as needed.
