Defence Blogs & Tweets: India and International

Post by JaiS »

Based upon Rahul's suggestion and my intent to do the same, I am starting this thread to serve as an archive of Military blogs, related to the Indian Military and otherwise. This thread is not intended to keep a track of updates to the individual blogs which will be posted here, instead the other threads should be used for discussing individual posts.

******************* READ THIS FIRST *******************

>> This thread is not meant for discussions, but just a repository of links to blogs {and twitters}.

>> When posting in this thread, please provide at least one or more tags(the more the merrier), which in your judgement provide the best description of blog content.

>> Enumerate the blog/twitter number by following the last post. for example if the last post above yours contains blog # 39, then the one you post will be blog # 40.

>> follow the same numbering system irrespective of whether your link is a blog or a twitter. if the last post above yours contains blog # 40, then the twitter link you post will be tweet # 41. do not follow different serials for blogs and tweets
Thanks.
*****************************************************************
Edited#1: The aim here is to gather first-party blogs, i.e. blogs of the authors themselves.

Edited#2: If you feel that a particular blog here promotes a sinister/anti-Indian agenda, or is an attempt at impersonation please do not hesitate to bring attention to the same by posting in the suggestions thread.

if in doubt, follow the format below :

Blog #1:

Tags = PAF, Pakistan, Kaiser Tufail

Also from his About Me section:

I was commissioned as a pilot in 1975 after my training at PAF Academy, Risalpur. Earlier, I completed my schooling from Cadet College, Hasanabdal. I have had the opportunity of flying several classic fighters including F-6 (MiG-19), F-7P (MiG-21 variant), F-7PG (MiG-21 double-delta variant), Mirage-5, Mirage F-1E and the venerable F-16 Fighting Falcon. I commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and PAF's largest fighter Base at Masroor. When out of the cockpit, I found time to pursue literary activities. 'Great Air Battles of Pakistan Air Force', a book written by me, is a manifestation of my interest in aviation history. I also write for various military journals and newspapers. I retired as an Air Commodore in 2005, after thirty memorable years of service.

articles and photographs from BR mainsite(as also from Tom Cooper's ACIG) contributed by BR webmasters and passed them off as his own in publications without as much as a credit.
not to mention that he invents and lies through teeth to conjure non-existent information.

anyway, the point is never to quote from his articles on BR unless it is a no-copyright press release from GoI/DRDO/MOD etc.
