I hope, once the S-400 batteries are in place, we will start taking out Paki bunkers & posts that provide covering fire. Or even every time a terrorist gets killed (or kills) in the hinterland.
They should know this equation: "1 terrorist ID'ed = Paki soldiers get halal'ed"
Not that we can't do this today, but S-400s will give that extra escalatory cushion

Order enough ATAGS/Dhanush and we can have one 155MM reserved exclusively for each of the Paki post along the LoC and IBPrem Kumar wrote:

I don't think ANY Government of India (past, Present and furture) will ever have the gumption to do this. Even with Pulwama, we did not go against PAK army. Even with Kargil we did not cross LoC. Even with Uri the real targets were the Terrorist Launch Pads. This Govt is the closest we have come to tackling the problem at source i.e. with the funding and the OG support for not only Terrorists but for Naxals as well, but even with this we may never see a response akin to Israel. I can only pray that Balochistan and such problems increase on PK
Re: CT & COIN Operations in India: News, Images and Discussion
You guys are ignoring realities, Israel has the backing of West and US to do quite a bit of stuff which we cant do, in fact the very limited actions in the last 7-8 years have itself come with a lot threats, outside forces in bed with BIF within India have been running riots within this country, we can clearly see this in Karnataka.
We just donot have the militarily capability and economic capabilities at the moment. Israel can afford it, it fights its wars with US fighters, US supplies- they are hard working but if they had the forces that are aligned against us I think they will also crumble. West sees a strong Israel good for them- this has been the truth since the Crusades whereas every leverage against us is being used.
Do you guys really think that everyone around does not have the evidence and local videos shot and uploaded on 27-Feb-19, we also probably do but I guess it was the price to pay where Group captain got released.
Its only as we start being less and less dependent on foreign powers and Indians become too costly to easily buy and subvert can we expect logical actions.
Soo many fires have been lit within India , keeping them quite itself is a challenge.

Two encounters are currently underway. One in Sopore near Baramulla and second in Pulwama. 1 terrorist each confirmed dead during both the ongoing encounters. At least 1 terrorist is cornered at each of the two sites. Hopefully more will go on to meet their maker.

A terror funding racket under the garb of an NGO busted in Kupwara. Arms and ammunition recovered. Getting rid of such over ground workers and half terrorists, who are all hiding in plain sight is a much-needed task. Over the past 6 months, we have managed to neutralize a lot of this network.

A blog operated from PoK or possibly also from Turkey has published a list of 56 Pandits working in J&K and threatened them to leave. Earlier it was the same blog that had threatened journalists in the valley to stop reporting. We have to nuetralize such agents across the border, or wherever they may be in the world.

Came across this detailed article in swarajyamag - https://swarajyamag.com/politics/how-ho ... -jharkhand
For 32 years, a 55-square-kilometre area, with a hill called Budha Pahar as its most prominent feature, had remained an impregnable fortress of Maoists.
This Maoist bastion straddling the Latehar and Garhwa districts of Jharkhand and Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh defied multiple attempts by security forces to breach it.
This bastion ultimately fell in end-September this year. And last week, security forces cleared the last landmine planted by the red terrorists there.
The fall of Budha Pahar, and also Maoist bastions in Chakrabandha and Bhimabandha forests in Bihar, was the outcome of meticulous planning and a multi-pronged strategy adopted by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) under the direct supervision of Amit Shah.
A director in the MHA’s crucial Left Wing Extremism (LWE) division, who did not want to be named, spoke to Swarajya on the strategy adopted to defeat the Maoists under Shah’s leadership.

Sad news. 5 jawans attained veer-gati and 1 is critical. Om Shanthi.
Possibly by a JeM offshoot group PAFF. A surgical strike is long overdue on shitistan. Hope Modi Govt doesn't sit on its laurels on the earlier surgical strikes. Pakis have re-calibrated and carrying out lower threshold attacks with more local participation.
1) Its time to replace all trucks with mine-protected-vehicles. We have enough local options to upgrade the entire fleet operating in sensitive areas. This truck was returning from a road-opening-party, which is always risk prone. The IA's favorite combo-pack of indefinite trials followed by piecemeal orders is really hurting us
2) Its also grating to read statements like "600 terrorists are waiting across the LoC to cross-over" and nothing is done about it. Our intel seems superb. But what's stopping a pro-active surgical strike to take them out en-masse? Why this reactionary waiting for them to cross over in 2s and 3s
3) For Pakis, ceasefire does not mean infiltration stops. How does India define its redlines? We should be willing to break ceasefire as often and in as many places as we want (including use of artillery, airpower etc) in response to infiltration or even intelligence that terrorists are ready to cross over. This would be a great time to hit shitistan because they are facing internal insurgencies & people are killing each other over rotis. Its stupid on our part to not deliver kill-blows
4) I suspect that, for all the talk of preparedness for a 2.5 front war, we are not ready. With our LAC being hot, we are glad that there is ceasefire at the LoC. The post-Balakot events also exposed our limitations regarding AEW & BVRAAMs. Once again, nothing has been done about it because the IAF has been navel-gazing about MRFA. Pakis learnt their lessons from Kargil but our IAF top-brass have not
Overall, just sad and painful

Re: CT & COIN Operations in India: News, Images and Discussion
In recent times a favourite dialogue of our establishment vis-a-vis Pakistan has been "Ghar mein ghuskar maarenge". With this latest attack Pakistan has once again proven that they can "Jab ji chahe ghuskar maarenge". And it seems like nothing from our side can stop them. Mind you, this is happening when we are supposed to be holding a G20 meeting in Kashmir. Now what is stopping the attendees from attending that meeting citing 'security concerns'?

Re: CT & COIN Operations in India: News, Images and Discussion
Even after surgical strikes if Pakistan continues to dare/recalibrate to keep Kashmir boil, with their current economic situation they are just looking for an Indian response to draw the population together. They have learned several lessons after two surgical strikes too. The best option is to give Pakistan a befitting reply the same way but much painful to recover from.

1) Ongoing, relentless, pro-active surgical strikes are mandatory
2) Paki Army must feel the pain. Currently, we kill off a few useless jihadis, but their handlers lead a cushy life. This must change
Unacceptable costs must be repeatedly imposed on the Land of the Pure, which will culminate in their dismemberment and de-nuclearization

Re: CT & COIN Operations in India: News, Images and Discussion
No william ji, this is the exact situation we need to show them abduls their army is noncompoop and the only protecting they do is protection of their corner lots. Pakis have devolved beyond caring for unity and have stopped looking at their army as a unifying unit. Regardless, we should not hamstring out options thinking this might "unify" a dying entity. Balakot has aptly proved it. If the only goal is to protect our sovereignty and lives of our soldiers then the only logic is to go after them who greenlit this attack. Everything else is just noise which will fill the space until the next attack.williams wrote:
