S-400s.Key acquisition as of yesterday. It will call the Paki N-bluff.The TOI today had a string of items required for the services which are crippling our defence capability.According to it,we cannot wage a war for even a couple of weeks. Some items like naval main guns are critical for the warships udner construction, supposed to come from Italy and FinnMecc.,now embroiled in an alleged corruption scam.MOD system of approvals leaves much to be desired.

Given the current crisis, the cabinet should authorise immediate decision-making on a war footing as war may be around the corner. There cannot be further delays .Even the KA-226 helo deal which has been sealed has yet top take off.Same goes for Sikorsky helos, decided aeons ago.Babudom is far worse than the Pakis.

BREAKING: Highly placed sources in Modi Govt confirm to @indiatoday that Army crossed LOC to carry our surgical strikes against Pak army.

The Indian army conducted SURGICAL STRIKES against terrorists who were getting ready to strike at Indian installations says Army DGMO.

ISPR in Pak already confirming strong action by Indian army & accepting deaths of Pak army soldiers

Major Indian army action against Pakistan. Details expected shortly. About time we gave them a bloody nose.

BIG Indian Govt press conference soon. Army + MEA to brief. Huge announcement. Watch this space.

Another "military action" which will be denied by govt ?

^^ Such kind of words being officially mentioned by DGMO itself is orgasmic , without even waiting to know if they actually even did it.

So happy to see the tide change slowly after all the other cheek business of all these years

Dawn says 2 Soldiers killed in clashes.. also adds "Befitting response given"

Knowing ISPR, 2 probably means 20..

Befitting response probably was a shalwar browning ceremony in Pindi followed by panicked calls to its master..

Remember there were back to back phone calls.. Kerry to Swaraj, Rice to Doval ...

Finally some "Kaleje me thandak" after the day we lost 18 of our braves.

This is unprecedented on so many levels. And yes knowing Pakis, consider minimum factor of 10. And they wouldn't even count rats as their own.

Some anon twitter handles have been regularly posting cryptic tweets with increasing numbers. Till yesterday it was ~200 (of coarse this has nothing to do with on going situation and any perceived correlation is only a coincidence). Add some from this strike.

The Rules are changed now...Exciting times ahead.

Don't Take Desire For Peace As Weakness:c On Strikes In Pak
Pak PM Nawaz Sharif said that he condemns the surgical strikes across Line of Control.
NEW DELHI: India carried out surgical strikes in Pakistani territory last night to eliminate terrorists waiting to attack Jammu and Kashmir and other metros, the army said today.

"We condemn this attack, our desire for peace should not be interpreted as our weakness," Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was quoted as saying by Pakistani media.

India caused "significant casualties" on terrorists across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, the Director General of Military Operations revealed in a press briefing today, adding that he informed his Pakistani counterpart of the strikes, which, he said, "were carried out based on specific and credible information," he said.

India revealed the strikes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the cabinet committee on security. He had pledged that this month's attack by Pakistani terrorists on an army base in Uri in Kashmir will be punished. 18 soldiers were killed in the Uri assault.

India has moved to globally isolate Pakistan at the United Nations and other international bodies like SAARC. Pakistan had in recent hours violated the ceasefire repeatedly at the Line of Control.

Covert operations began soon after the Uri attack. I'm sure paras and other units conducted surveillance beforehand. They may have been roaming around their territory selecting targets. They proly still are.

After this, I'm not sure Pakistan will escalate. It is a huge sucker punch to the face though.

If I were them I would select soft targets like temples or schools.

This could be a reason that Susan Rice called up Ajit Doval yesterday late night....

I guess the Russian soldiers are still in Pakistan...their reaction would be interesting to watch..

Good point! Cherry on top. Modi Govt has done well to pay attention to such small things. The other instance that comes to mind is Modi visiting China after a stop over in Vietnam 8)

Here it comes... the denials. Whatever else they are good at or not, they certainly are well-prepared with creative denials :rotfl:

Pakistan said India's claim of a "surgical strike" across the countries' de facto border in the disputed region of Kashmir was an illusion, saying that the incident was "cross-border fire".

"The notion of surgical strike linked to alleged terrorists' bases is an illusion being deliberately generated by India to create false effects," the military said in a statement.

It was released shortly after a senior Indian military officer said India had hit suspected militants preparing to infiltrate into Indian-administered Kashmir along the Pakistani side of the border.

Now that India's retaliation has been seen- it's actually a comprehensive and judicious mix of diplomatic, economic and military jhaapad perhaps we can now anticipate what the TSP response would be.

Their H&D lies tattered and news media discussions on sovirginity will reach a fever pitch..Interesting times ahead in the TSP multimedia dhaaga.
