Reports of Army jawan missing incorrect, clarifies Defence ministry
The Defence Ministry on Saturday clarified that no soldier has been abducted contrary to reports that an Army jawan has been kidnapped by terrorists while on leave from Kashmir's Budgam district.

"Media reports of the abduction of a serving Army soldier on leave from Qazipora, Chadoora, Budgam(J&K) are incorrect. Individual is safe. Speculations may please be avoided," said the Defence ministry.

On Friday night, reports emerged that Army jawan was kidnapped by militants while he was on leave and at his residence in Qazipora, Chadoora in Budgam.

Pak will give free hand to JeM & LeT cannon fodders to infiltrate through LoC. That is the only place where it can keep the water boiling, without spilling over.

Like you said this time there is going to hordes at the LoC and not small parties which are going to cross the LoC. Hope the IA / IAF proactively take out targets before they plan the crossing.

Let me try a loose translation:

"The limits of the frontier"

Today someone crossed the frontier,
Because someone crossed all limits,
In that warbird, that means a "chimera",
It is true, last night we had our say...

Today someone crossed the frontier,
Because someone crossed all limits.

Today, we went into their house,
And we called out "Hu tu tu tu tu tu.."
And, poked them in a particular way,
Said "This is enough! Now watch your step"

Today someone crossed the frontier,
Because someone crossed all limits.

Now how will they ever sleep,
With this disturbance they felt,
And as the night slowly passes to dawn,
They will realise the fireworks that have happened...

Today someone crossed the frontier,
Because someone crossed all limits..

Who will they run to with their lies and deceit,
Now that we have given them a dose of truth..
"Mister, you are you, and we are us,
And this morning we told you what we are made of"

Today someone crossed the frontier,
Because someone crossed all limits..

You can sense our determination,
And we are ready to take you on for a final battle,
Today someone crossed the frontier,
Because someone crossed all the limits....

What a catch! Nothing matches the plain old 'Boots on ground' method when it comes to intelligence gathering. If this target was identified partly using HUMINT, what's to stop us from using HUMINT for BDA also next time around -- perhaps an IP video camera with telephoto lens left near the water tank of a line-of-sight building nearby? After the next strike it would be great if we could have videos of the damage and the cover-up.

Sajaym sir, why this itch to give proof? believe me when our force and govt says something was done it would have been done after multiple vettings by multiple agencies. The opposition fellas are playing with fire to score brownie points and there is no need to indulge them. Even if you give evidence that a building was destroyed they will ask for land registration documents/EC to prove that the building belongs to JeM. There is no end to this childish behavior

The evidence of the new roof is hiding in plain sight onlee.

There is a "digital camo" like pattern formed by the roofing sheets. Some are dark and some are bright. If you compare between the 'before' and 'after' images, you can see that the pattern is different.

They repaired the roof on war footing onlee.

Looking through the official reports, IAF never stated it used Spice 2000 bombs, being a non miltary target IAF probably used 110-115KG Laser guided bombs which were Comparatively cheap( in ventory since around 2000), lightweight so the Fighters could deal with any PAF interference. Expect a few months down the line, footage of how the bombs penetrated and killed the Jihadis while they slept.

Thats why I guess non upgraded Mirages were used. IAF will keep its best for Miltary targets.

Seems to me the 3 Saudi 777 in Cargo Role was used to ship out major part of Weapons Grade U235 and Strategic Weapons parts to its mother state that bank rolled the program.

Likely PA was anticipating a pre-emptive strike and indeed the day after the strike it was officially mentioned that India would strike them with missile.

Need to keep a watch if the 3 777 would again come back in months from now.

Meanwhile from News reports:
Islamabad: Paki Interior Ministry on Thursday announced that a total of 121 members of the proscribed groups have so far been taken into "preventive detention" across Pakistan.

US asked: Prime Minister Imran Khan-led government to take “sustained and irreversible” actions against terrorist groups operating from its soil, to prevent future attacks and promote regional stability. “We reiterate our call for Pakistan to abide by its United Nations Security Council obligations to deny terrorists safe haven and block their entry to funds,” State Department Spokesperson Robert Palladino

China: (Per Foreign Minister Wang Yi): Pakistan is our “iron brother” and said it welcomed de-escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan.China hopes the two countries will get along and India, Pakistan will transform the crisis into an opportunity and will meet each other halfway,”
Imaran Khan also tweeted in Hindi (See post above)

MEA (India) said: :arrow:Naya Pakistan’ with ‘nayi soch’ should show ‘naya action’ against terror groups! :!: (After Imran Khan Khan reiterated his government’s stand that they would not allow Pakistan’s soil to be used for terror purposes against any country. (Wow!!)
It is regrettable that Pakistan still continues to deny Jaish-e-Mohammed’s claim of taking ownership of Pulwama attack. Pakistan Foreign Minister said they (JeM) have not claimed responsibility of the attack. Is there is some confusion or is Pakistan defending the Jaishe-Mohammed?

Only one aircraft was lost by us. Pakistan is spreading false propaganda,...If Pakistan has a video recording of shooting down two aircraft of the Indian Air force, why it has not shared the evidence with the international media.”

And Finally MEA spokes person:
Pakistan has to show credible, verifiable and sustainable action against terrorist outfits.

If Pakistan claims to be a ‘Naya Pakistan’ with ‘Nayi Soch’ then it should demonstrate ‘Naya Action’ against terrorist groups and cross border terrorism in support of its claims,

Pakistan will be judged not by the words they speak, but the actions they take. Besides issuing notifications in the gazette, they have to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, .

Only bemused rather than surprised, as the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change is rather saazish minded when India is involved. Posters here may recollect the tweet of the Junior Minister of Climate Change {Minister of State}, one Zartaj Gul Wazir, who declared that the Islamic Republic’s winter smog problem was “connected to the unconventional warfare we're embattled in with our eastern neighbour, India”.

1. Pakistan to lodge U.N. complaint against India for 'eco-terrorism' forest bombing :

Climate Change Minister Malik Amin Aslam said Indian jets bombed a “forest reserve” and the government was undertaking an environmental impact assessment, which will be the basis a complaint at the United Nations and other forums.

“What happened over there is environmental terrorism,” Aslam told Reuters, adding that dozens of pine trees had been felled. “There has been serious environmental damage.”

2. Twitter:

In response to @sherryrehman's question in Senate today about smog:

Smog is a major environmental concern in Pakistan. And we have to accept and acknowledge that it's connected to the unconventional warfare we're embattled in with our eastern neighbour, India.

When UN complaint is contemplated for bringing down trees an FIR for bringing down trees cannot be ruled out :rotfl: :

KSA FM to arrive today looks like. His visit was put off after GoI said close down camps and take serious steps against terror otherwise let’s not waste time.

So far US and KSA are the main interlocutors - Both pushing for overt or covert talks.

As you start hearing more and more about TSP govt taking over terror sites, arresting leaders - this is mostly driven by KSA/US to enable “crisis” talks to take place.

DGMOs usually interact weekly but that hasn’t taken place as well.

Meanwhile majority of options GoI is undertaking covert.. some of which has already started.:
TTP issued statement asking Pak to stop training tribals against India
Another group attacked Pak border posts with Afghanistan
Remains to be seen if the Sui gas station attack last night is also another one.

Taliban has tried to attack Baluch groups in Afg.

TSP has kicked off terror recruitment rallies using Jamaat e Islami specifically for India and have started training Pashtun tribals to fight India.

Whilst the above happens - Bajwa is telling TSP elite and US/KSA that JeM and LeT are no longer in national interest .. these groups are too big to solve and tackle quickly, hence the move to put them in paramilitary (which works well for various parties)

Talks between taliban and US are not going as well as the press thinks it’s going... Taliban torn between genuine independent Afghanistan, pro Pak.. pak pressuring to make sure commanders, leaders stay in line.

This article says there is a possibility that JeM (and ISI handlers) went rogue and conducted Pulwama attack bypassing Bajwa https://theprint.in/opinion/it-is-a-dan ... wa/202840/

I find it hard to believe but if that is a possibility then it could be one explanation why Pakistan keeps extending NOTAM to keep airspace closed (now extended until March 11th even though clear signals for de-escalation from India) because if India and US believe Bajwa is not in control or Bajwa believes rogue ISI/JeM/LeT are planning another spectacular attack in India, there is a real possibility of India and US trying to grab or secure Pak nukes (as khanji said).

Also from US A very influential Congressman ( Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee) Ami Bera penned a nice article .. (
If Imran Khan does not take action against terrorists, I'm afraid Pakistan will continue to slide into international isolation, which will only serve to increase economic hardship on the Pakistani people
,
Time For Pakistan to Chart a New Course
Time For Pakistan to Chart a New Course
By Rep. Ami Bera, D-California - March 8, 20190

As Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, and the senior most South Asian-American member of Congress, I’ve watched the events of the past few weeks with deep concern. They remind all of us just how delicate matters are on the subcontinent.

The Kashmir issue is deeply complex and will require enormous political will to resolve. However, using violence and terrorism as a way to achieve political objectives is abhorrent and unacceptable. The United States strongly condemns terrorism. Pakistan must hold those responsible accountable.

The latest events began on February 14, 2019 when a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden SUV into a convoy carrying paramilitary police in Pulwama, killing at least 40 people. Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), a Pakistan-based terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the bombing. On February 26, Indian jets reportedly bombed a JeM facility in Balakot, Pakistan. The following day, February 27, Pakistan launched an air to ground attack inside Jammu and Kashmir, and a resulting skirmish downed an Indian aircraft. The pilot was captured by Pakistan.

Pakistan did the right thing by releasing the downed pilot. This deescalated a dangerous situation but more has to be done. Prime Minister Imran Khan should use this opportunity to reset his country’s relationship with the world and chart a new course for Pakistan.

It starts with cracking down on JeM and other terrorist groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, which was responsible for the terrible attack on Mumbai in 2008. To date, unfortunately, Pakistan’s behavior towards these terrorist groups have been contradictory and self-defeating. Pakistan has banned many of these terrorist groups, including adding two more groups on March 5, but at the same time tolerates them operating within its own borders. This has caused the international community to isolate Pakistan.

I am pleased that Pakistan has taken some initial steps, like detaining 44 suspected militants, including the brother of JeM’s leader, Masood Azhar. It is unclear, however, whether this “preventative detention”, as Pakistan described it, will lead to criminal prosecutions and justice being served.

Prime Minister Khan can help Pakistan earn enormous goodwill by tracking down and bringing to justice Azhar, whom the Pakistani Foreign Minister indicated was alive, with his whereabouts known. They can further that goodwill by dismantling the terrorist networks that operate within Pakistan. These actions are in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1267. If Khan does not take these steps, I’m afraid Pakistan will continue to slide into international isolation, which will only serve to increase economic hardship on the Pakistani people.

I also call on China to play a constructive role in India and Pakistan relations. A good first step would be for China to cease blocking a UN Security Council resolution designating Masood Azhar a global terrorist.

The United States’ Congress stands ready to support Pakistan should Prime Minister Khan begin cracking down on terrorist groups in earnest. This will only help improve his nation’s economy. In the coming weeks, I look forward to working with friends of India and Pakistan to achieve both economic and national security for these two great countries.

Ami Bera, M.D. is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

^^^ Thanks.
Here is a nice article - worth reading in full -
5 ways India’s foreign policy has changed post-Balakot
-- India’s stance to international negotiations is shifting towards a transactional trajectory from one that has been exclusively based on principles.
-- India is ready to push the stakes to edge-of-the-cliff levels. And do so unpredictably.
-- A more proactive and detailed engagement with the rest of the world.
-- The age of taking moral stands – peace over war – on terror with loose, ineffective statements that lack credibility because of subsequent inaction, such as “we condemn” or “we warn”, are behind India.
-- Despite not having a law as the US does on not negotiating hostage situations, India has told the world that it effectively will not negotiate, period.

Thats why I guess non upgraded Mirages were used. IAF will keep its best for Miltary targets.

Those non upgraded Mirages are very potent and the best, make no mistake!!

have the pakis closed the airspace over their eastern part fearing strikes on Muridke and/or Bhawalpur?? i think this could be a plausible reason .. GOI should up the ante with 'do more' calls... surely will irritate pakis no end.

Haven't Pakistani always said that they have no terrorist organisation active in Pakistan. So what are they afraid off.

Open the airspace and show the world who is the Boss of the subcontinent.

Or I am dead and gone to heaven that TSP is scared of the SDRE baniya.

Besides no damages were inflicted by IAF. So why haven't the rats shown the intact building to the world press.

As border tensions remain, cost of air travel surges
https://tribune.com.pk/story/1925796/2- ... el-surges/

Published: March 9, 2019

KARACHI: The partial closure of airspace for commercial flights in Pakistan and India due to tense situation on the border has jacked up the cost and duration of flights massively.

Airspace on the eastern side of Pakistan has remained closed for commercial flights, forcing airlines to fly through the western airspace. Alternative routes are quite longer than the original ones. Consequently, the duration and cost of flights have surged significantly.

He revealed that 11 out of 22 airports in Pakistan were functioning while others would return to normalcy once the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) fully reopened the airspace.

In a meeting held a few days ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the Petroleum Division to increase the strategic oil reserves to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to the armed forces in the wake of tensions between two neighbouring countries.

Gurus, a nanha mujahid pooch, which type of PAF aircraft might have a callsign 'Zarrar'? It is moving from Bahawalpur to Islamagood.
TIA

This article was written by a Baki - take it with a bucket of Salt.

India has not given a single sign of de-escalation, rather it is the opposite, India keeps doing things to keep the temperature warm.

After the next strike it would be great if we could have videos of the damage and the cover-up.

er..... The photo was taken by Reuters-Pakis escorted by PA/JEM. Neither Hum nor Int present

Rajnath Singh claims India conducted three surgical strikes across LoC, ‘won’t reveal info on third’

Speaking at a public gathering in Karnataka, Rajnath said, “Pichle 5 varsho mein, teen baar apni seema ke bahar jaa kar hum logon ne air strike kar kaamyaabi haasil ki hai. Do ki jaankari apko dunga, teesri ki nahi dunga (In the past five years, we have crossed the border thrice and conducted air strikes. I will tell you about two, not the third one).”

This video is from Sep 28th 2018 where Rajnath Singh indirectly implied that they have taken an appropriate action against Pakistan to avenge the barbaric killing of a BSF jawan. He said something appropriate has happened 2-3 days back, viz around 25-26th Sep 2018.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIKYqhm7mLI
“Our neighbouring country Pakistan keeps fostering unrest. It’s not refraining from its nefarious activities. People often raise how they mistreat our Border Security Force jawans. Something has happened, I won’t tell what. Something has happened, some thing fitting has happened. Trust something befitting has happened. Just 2-3 days ago. Some people know about it. Something has happened. And, be ready for more to come.”

^^ Such things keep happening on daily basis. We hear about losses on our side, because we dont hide deaths of our Soldiers. When India counter attacks and Pakis die, but they simply suppress the matter and India doesn't have any reason to publicise it. So you wont hear about it. Don't even hope to hear about it. But be assured, IA doesn't keep quite as much as we may think. Its gives back in kind, every single time. Lets leave it at that.

BTW he didn't really mean three air strikes, its slip of tongue. He meant three cross border raid, including Uri SS and Balakot strike.

Because GoI is trying to make counter terror operations as pre-emptive and routine.. Action being taken at Strategic, tactical and overt levels.
Problem with reactive is that - TSP will control our reactions (big attack = big GoI response). . GoI has to break that cycle.

IA Info warfare branch approved (only 20 years late)
