It is right time to move bahubali and bofors to the border as these are inducted, this one to one match must stop. It is not a badminton match. The pain should be given with disproportionate responses until they vacate their posts all along the border.Shivaji wrote:16-March --> Pakis attacked our BOP in Poonch sector with ATGM. Per Bababanaras, ATGM missed target and no damage.
17-March --> we fired ATGM on their BOP in Sundebani sector. We might have fried the cockroaches.
18-March --> Pakis retaliated today with ATGM in Keri-Battal area of Sundebani sector. News of few casualties.

we have enough bofors ...
ping pong tukkebaazi is gotta stop. OFB needs to run 4 shifts to churn out Dhanush and ATAGS needs to be funded like national n-sub project.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
I agree that it should not be a badminton match, but that is how it seems to be playing out at the moment. Only difference is that response from our side is immediate and disproportionate although local.

Why has Pakistan again closed its airspace for 24 hrs. If de escalation has happened, why are they not opening it up. Are we missing something

The NAMIS includes a third generation Anti-Tank Guided Missile, the NAG, along with the Missile Carrier Vehicle (NAMICA). Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
DAC clears procurement, yes. The final procurement happens after the finance team clears the proposal and orders are placed. Have the orders been placed, and serial production started? BDL does carry the Nag on its website now (no longer a trial prototype but actual product) but i find this Nag, Brahmos stuff weird because why use an expensive Nag when a Konkurs-M would have likely done the job?
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
Here you go. While its possible trial units can be used in such a scenario, its just not very likely.

The Nag anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) is finally set to enter production by the end of 2019 as confirmed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Aero India 2019.
The system will undergo final summer user trials in May-June this year after it successfully completed its winter user trials in December 2018. The user trials commenced after a protracted period of validation tests, in part due to the performance of the imaging infrared (IIR) seeker head.
MSR Prasad, Director General of Missiles and Strategic Systems (MSS) DRDO, told Jane’s , “We have completed a series of developmental trials in the past three years under PROSPINA (Product Support and Product Improvement and Induction of Nag) mission mode project.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
IIRC - attack choppers are an escalation and will therefore need retalliation
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
There is no confirmed news on the attack choppers. If there was a cobra usage and one of our troop got killed, it will all over the news.
Sputnik gave the news 6h back. It would have been a big news.
We will have to wait an see if something comes out.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
If choppers are flying closer than 5km to the border/LoC they are violating the agreements in place and can be shot down at will. Maybe there is something in the topography which makes them difficult to target although that sector being discussed is at the start of the plains.Lalmohan wrote:IIRC - attack choppers are an escalation and will therefore need retalliation
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
i believe chopper line is 1km from LOC - easily within the range of cannons and ATGMs onboard.
btw clearly some dozens of Nags exist in hands of army. nothing like a real field test than artificial test. you can call it mountain trial if one wishes. Nag has a far heavier warhead than a man portable konkurs....8kg vs 2.7kg

My thoughts exactly, I hope they take out the base that launched the attack helicopters. Essentially take out the squadron of attack helicopters.Lalmohan wrote:IIRC - attack choppers are an escalation and will therefore need retalliation

Burst fire by pakistan rangers/Army in Makwal sector and Pakistan side is head marala....Drones were noticed.
More official details awaited.
Makwal sector is in IB.
His latest tweet does not mention any Chopper use, only small arms fire.

"To all rumours: No helicopter were used by both sides of Army in Makwal (IB).
Situation is normal as only small arms fire initiated by both forces."

Qamar is losing his mind. He ordered a massive cross-border raid - infantry charge with chopper support near Makwal. It was horribly beaten back - the devastating reply India gave forced the choppers to retire and without air cover, the soldiers had to scamper back haphazardly.
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
I was very happy to read that account few days back, but seems to be a good compilation of all the info in public domain. May or many not be true as his tweets usually follow other inputs that appear first.Sanju wrote:Another twitter handle posts about the Paki gunships:

May be mods can consider separate threads for tactical and strategic fall-out of Balakot as tweets are not always authentic and muddy the water.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
Too much trust in random tweets on this thread. No one knows about the real situation at the LOC, so wait for GoI to issue statement.
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
KaranM, This page is read by pakis too.
And who is writing term or peer reviewed paper that they need to give sources for the pakis?
Why cant we take it as info and not processed intelligence?
As Raina says lets wait for GOI but mean time let info war go on.
Least we can do after that data base gaffe.

Details on participation on 23 March parade of Pakis:
https://theprint.in/defence/china-sends ... gn=browser
"The parade this year will feature flypasts by Turkish F-16s and Chinese J-10 aircraft, besides paratroop contingents from the Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka armed forces."
Why are Sri Lankans there?
1) RayC would be so happy at this. IA motto is ek goli, ek dusman. Looks like its ek Nag, ek bunker! Wish the Nag had cleared those excessive trials long back.
2) I am wary of the Turkish F-16s. It could be a covert plan to exchange newer F-16s for the katara Fizzle ya F-16s. Would call the Turkish Ambassador and let them know beforehand.
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
goi has merely just approved setting up a IW cell after balakot and 1000s of paki twitter engines being outed revealing the true shape of the serpent.
nobody knows in govt or pvt contractor hands.
in terms of hybrid war, we are on our own wherever we choose to fight, whether on forums or SM.
goi will even disguise and hide small victories going by babu wisdom on "optics" and "escalatory rhetoric", the entire political leadership is anyway on the election trail. we excel at not making the enemy look bad

Ramana, my concern was/is that we dont get played by Paki Infowar guys using social media/tweets. Next we will get a bunch of guys complaining about how Pak is using xxxx against us, and we arent doing anything..
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
yes that is very possible. their whole game got exposed once that turd natsefjeff got outed. they could have fake names like karan and ramana for more credibility.
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
Yep, exactly. Give some pro India stuff to start off, some anti PA rhetoric to set some credibility then twist the story.
Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
GD, Some facts from Balakot strike.
- Pak nuke bluff has been called.
-The JeM terrorists were taken from POK and housed in Balakot in KP province.
- Bunker/magazine defeated at Balakot. Pak cannot hide its nukes in such bunkers. Strike package was 12 SPICE 2Ks showing lot of inventory. This Israeli bunker buster is 25 % more capable then the Desert Storm maal.
- Non-military targets which people even here laughed gives India option to attack those bunkers looking for such targets.
- KSA, PRC and US understood and gave 3T to Jihad-e-Fistula and moved their inventory back.
- The bunkers suffering bun marks looks like third SS with long range assets.
- Means India has more assets than SPICE2K.
- Nowshera sector air battle shows IAF can defeat and best the Fizzle ya.
- MiG-21 Bison gored the F-16 Viper.
- 4-5 AMRAAMs were rendered useless. ELTA pod and ECM on Su-30 MKIs. One was believed shot down. Debris still being evaluated.
Recall I asked about continuous rod war head on Russian AAMs as opposed to fragmentation warhead on AMRAAM. Look at the pictures with open mind. Its a cut and not a shrapnel.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
Problem is social media can be a very very dicey echo chamber.
Somewhat like this:
So, just cautioning members to be a bit more circumspect before deciding IA/IAF are getting attacked by choppers and not retaliating.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
Look at Pakis, how they stick to the narrative of , " India (hindu) is against Daleets, Women and Minorities'. Rascals forget that this would constitute almost 70% of India and Dalits and women constitute majority of Hindus. But No, they stick to this narrative just like they like to claim and believe that somehow India can't rise without making peace with Bakis and handing over Kashmir to them forgetting that India already is the 3rd Largest economy in the world.
We too need to stick to the narrative about Pakis being a terrorists infested, Mullah driven, failing state with no money that almost has become Cheeni colony and is source of perturbation to the world peace.

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion
We just need to keep hitting them with a focus on their officers. One of their attacks on us was purely because we attacked and took out a Paki brigadier rank officer. They are deeply feudal and dont care as much about losing 100 soldiers as much as 10 senior afsaraan. The pain they feel there is disproportionate.
