Hello NrShah/Goku San/Kartik
If you get somebody from the below org who can share knowledge about a few things on indigenous MBT development, please ask the below questions
ARDE/CVRDE/HVF Avadi
-- Arjun Mk2 prototype rollout target date? target weight?
-- Smoothbore gun? any chance of upgunning to 125/130mm?
-- HNS in place of RHA steel?
-- NERA development?
-- Autoloader or 4 person crew?
-- Fully automatic transmission?

Thanks, that was quite helpful. I could not find ACD technologies online. What kind of antenna does SAMEER make? I couldn't find it.

Pray for an enhanced defence budget today.Right now it is at a 47 year low,at the time of the war with China in '62. Everything depends upon more funds for defence which all parties are agreed upon.Success of our indigenous efforts depend upon large orders for economy of scale.

Well, we sure can have bijnejj lunch + BRF meet if anyone else is coming. Unlike Aero India, I won't be stuck at the booth ;)

SHQ hasn't stopped cribbing about corona scare. Yesterday she showed up with some N95 masks, with an injunction to use it throughout.

We cannot survive too long importing defence equipment. Our aim is to achieve self-reliance. Hence #DefExpo2020 is a very important event

Yes, those attending, please take pix of the info boards as tsarkar suggested. I would love to see pix of the info boards and ship models from the various pvt and PSU yards as well as those companies performing naval upgrades.

Of interest are the TDV from Cochin SY, the OSS from HSL as well as anything new on display.

My understanding is that Reliance may have completed one P21 NOPV Shachi. Could this development be confirmed?

also, picture boards from DRDO and other pvy/psu outfits are a treasure trove!!

Karkarat, the cockpit looks v.compact, could the same for the MWF be used in LCA Mk-1A?

Aditya, there are pics of both designs available,(GRSE and is it CSL?) if you google the same. Interesting designs, the good thing is the helideck which I was harping about, allowing the vessel to operate an ASW helo which could fly back to its land base when required. The carrying of UUVs by these inshore ASW vessels is the big Q. They are required to sniff out enemy subs and provide multiple data for targeting and prosecuting subs.

Tejas Mk1A cockpit was finalised earlier itself. 3 MFDs and no LAD, with HUD similar to what is present on the Mk1.

Grp Cpt HV Thakur said this on Twitter
Replying to
@vikrant2794

Check out the video of 2019.

Mk-1A cockpit is already designed. The procurements are done. Rig is getting installed.

These are long lead activities. What you see today, will go to field 5 years hence.
