America "losing" a war is irrelevant unless it is about American territory. America didn't exactly win in Korea, retreated in Vietnam, left a smouldering mess in Iraq, exited Afghanistan not once but twice. There are unfinished wars all over the world, so why does America continue to do this? Many reasons. It has a war hardened military, it allows for domestic political compulsions and funding of military tech, it continues to bring in countries either voluntarily or coerced into geo-political & military alliances. It's still the king of the hill.drnayar wrote: If Russia survives, keeps the Donbass and Crimea, if its economy continues to function and it can rebuild its trade relations with China and India, then America has lost the war. And as a result, it will lose its allies. That is why America and NATO will continue. And that is why this is a world war that will continue. Its main cause is the crisis of the West.
One would hope that Europe had better sense to tell Zelinski to put up and cut a deal with Russia, not only because of the short-term implications including access to energy, but overall for the long-term good of the Caucasian race. Is there an existential threat to Europe from Russia? I don't see it. Russia is already on a path of demographic implosion and can hardly extend beyond its own core interests, which is ex-USSR minus the Baltics.
