Malayalam.

And BTW, there is no language called Hindu

Self explanatory...but it reminds me of North Americans asking me, "Do you speak Hindu?"

Several countries have shown interest in the indigenously-designed Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and enquired about it during the DefExpo 2022 event, said C.B. Ananthakrishnan, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

“There are lot of enquiries for helicopters. Once we get a breakthrough order, there is lot of potential for further exports,” Mr. Ananthakrishnan said at DefExpo-2022.

Who the heck was taking this shot in front of a 60+ ton armor on the roll and deafening sounds of rotors.

The tank is static most likely or very slow speed. No one in their right mind will stand in front of a tank to take a photo where you need to adjust for a heptr flying overhead. Plus, look at the sprocket in the second photo.

Lets not knock what is still an impressive photo. It is hard to just stand beneath a rotor downwash, let alone adjust camera and take a photo with all the dust swirling about.

^ Great photo

Technically both the Tank and the Helo (in hover) can be stationery for photo purposes.
Secondly nowadays the camera person can operate the camera remotely (mounted on a stand). No need to stand in the path of the vehicles.

Not saying that it is what happened here...

That is one heck of a photo! The visual imagery makes you want more. Imagine the strength it projects if 200 Prachands and a 1000 Arjuns stare across the battlefield at the enemy!

The tank is stationary and not moving.

Laser guided 70mm rockets with a variety of warheads. Now being tested with anti-armour warheads. Very interesting. We ought to start developing something similar. Almost all our helicopters would be able to fire these rockets. Even for ground attack from Jaguars, this would be potentially cheap solution.

From the photo it looks like a new or modified launcher, different from what has been used with the ALH Mk-IV Rudra helicopters.
Only 15 numbers seem to be too small a quantity. Each helicopter will need 2. The Helina has been cleared for use with the Rudra. don't know what the hold up is with regards to the LCH. The IAF variant is known as Dhruvastra. No idea what is the difference between the regular helina variant.

My bad. Didn't realize the same. Just went with the news flow about the launcher for the Helina.

Army Plans To Procure These India-Made Helicopters To Replace Ageing Fleet
https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/army-pl ... et-3782642
14 Feb 2023
The Army is looking at procuring the LUHs and LCHs to replace its ageing fleets of Cheetah and Chetak helicopters.
Army Chief says they will purchase 95 Prachands and 110 LUHs. At least for the Prachands, they can place the order before March 31 and consume their Capex. Putting money where their mouths are.

Will they?
