Is the Hanuman an Indian designed truck?

The front part has more of Russian foot print than MAN.

(Shakthi) MAN was made in Ambajari IIRC

Looks somewhat like the trucks here, specially the crew compartment, although these are 8x8 and not 6x6 as Hanuman - http://www.man-mn.co.uk/en/Trucks/Branc ... efence.jsp

Kesri you posted like a press release by some government deptt.

"Promising much-Delevering nothing". Just kidding.

DRDO people are very helpful and answering all queries. I overheard some college boy arguing Brahmos man that as per International laws India can not use Super computer for weapon systems. And DRDO man was very patient. He listen that idiot and explained him international laws along with FCS of Brahmos. DRDO people are doing very good job and that too in when almost all of them are positioned outside where everybody is visiting ( pass not required so strictly there) ranging school children to house wifes, small time shopkeepers to all govt babus.......

Sharma: Good photo's. I am sure by the time yiu return you would have hundreds of shots. I would like to look at them all.

Please try to take clearphotos of the wall boad posters for they have the most information and often hidden nuggets.

Msg for all BRFites at the EXPO: See if you can get the contact at Brahmos for getting copyright permission for some of their exclusive photos? {From AI05 meeting with the Brahmos guys at stall I tried contacting their webmaster for more photos but to no avail.}

Could someone enquire about that new missile defence system that RCI is working on that the DRDO director described to be "better than the THAAD system" ?

In addition - try getting info/programme status/compatability on the LCA of the Israeli EL/M-2052 AESA radar and the UK Selex Vixen 500E AESA radar - both of which have been offered to India for the Mig-35 and the LCA Tejas. Try to find out if Tech Transfer can be negotiated on these AESA radars and the Raytheon -79 AESA of the F-18 SH.

Will LRDE getting hold of the tech on the Irbis ? What is the status of the Irbis ? Is it PESA or AESA ?

Check on the unit cost of the F-18 SH, Eurofighter, Gripen, Mig-35 in their fully loaded versions.

Ask about the Surya ICBM and the MCA as well. Try finding out if the Russian 5th gen project that India is interested in is the Mig/Mukhademov I-2000 LFI ?

And lastly - blast the guys at the DRDO stall for not reverse engineering more

An old P-17 model that has few features ,apart from the usual weaponry forward of the bridge (similar to Talwar),gatlings and two Sea Kings aft ,was spotted.Nothing about the P-28.The lucky chaps who were there for more days might have gleaned some info from the concerned gents connected with those programmes. There was a very interesting video clip of the Kashtan CIWS system in action. It appears to be quite lethal. Also clips of launches and fast reloads of the SA-N-7/17 Shtil SAM aboard the Talwars, etc. It does take a few seconds for the reload and the second missile to be fired, nothing like a simultaneous VLS launch of SAMs against multiple targets. Since the VLS version of the same SAM has been developed and is reportedly being evaluated for the P-15A (along with othre options),it is worth speculating whether the follow on P-17s will feature this sytem instead of the single launcher. The Russian stands had video clips of almost all missile types displayed,so did the Europeans for Aster, etc.

last time Israeli official refuse to comment on army using Tavor21 but this time official said indian para(sf) is using Tavor21 without under barrel grenade launcher, they have supplied around 3000 guns...

DRDO showcased their Battle Field Surveillance Radar-Short Range with camera ..the guy said that they have supplied army around 1500 radars so far and they have introduced radar with camera which can show the real time image day n night upto 4 km..and with the radar they can track upto 15 km and they can calculate the distance and speed at which the enemy or target is moving towards them

Thanks for the pics.

Any more information on the small arms and products displayed by OFB and DRDO ?

I am curious as to the configuration of the INSAS carbines and the apparently small size of the magazines - is that really 5.56mm ? If so, firing a full-charge rifle round from that Uzi-type carbine must be quite an achievement.

What about metamorphosis - the OFB's 130 to 155mm prototype - and all those neat wheeled vehicles from DRDO displayed last time ?

I doubt the carbine version of the INSAS fires 5.56mm ammunition, judging by the size of the clip Im guessing 9mm.

That Vidhwansak looks like a real brute, really neat, any pictures of it from other angles? BTW, what does Vidhwansak mean?
